UPDATE ON MH 370: “NO ACCIDENT” SAY THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIM
Early on into this story, I interviewed with Ms. George Ann Hughes on The Byte Show and expressed my opinion that the airliner simply went "poof" - it simply disappeared - and no one knows what happened to it, though, I opined, "they" may have suspicions which they were unwilling to voice publicly, perhaps out of a fear of ridicule and/or touching off a firestorm of panic. In any case, during that show I also stated that I would be extremely suspicious if, in the developing story, it was concluded that the flight went down in the Indian Ocean, for that ocean, being somewhat deep, would require special technology to recover any debris from the flight, and thus, the world would simply "have to take the word" of the few nations possessing such technology that that is indeed what happened.
It is now almost a year later, and there has been no effective resolution of the story. Consider this article (again, shared by Mr. S.D.):
No evidence MH370 was an accident'
Now there's two paragraphs here that deserve attention:
"Some family members are unwilling to accept the Malaysian government's conclusion that Flight MH370 was lost, arguing no evidence has been found to support the claim. On January 29, Malaysia's Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) officially declared the flight was an accident, adding that all 239 people on board were presumed dead. The announcement is in accordance with international aviation rules that allow families of the passengers to obtain compensation. Malaysian officials said they had not ruled out foul play and that the recovery of the missing aircraft remained a priority. Now, as mentioned, recovery efforts in the Indian ocean would require some rather sophisticated technology, and there a few nations in the world with such technology. Russia would be one, the USA another, the UK and the other European powers yet another, perhaps India. But it is a mere handful. So after almost a year, we are back where we started: either they have found evidence, but are not releasing it for whatever reason, or they have not found anything, which makes the "total disappearance" scenario still a viable one. I'm still in that camp, because all efforts to contrive an internationally agreed-upon story simply have produced tragi-comical nonsense(like the American general's explanation alluded to above). Don't get me wrong here: in my high octane speculation I am not maintaining that no one knows, but rather, that they might know that what happened is indeed so mysterious, so bizarre, and so exotic, that to talk about it publicly would open "them" to ridicule and/or a firestorm of protest, at the core of which may lie some very bizarre physics, and possibly, some very bizarre technology. And no, I still don't think it's bad pilots, hijackers, an accidental shoot-down, or anything else. We simply don't know. Am I wrong? Probably. But when doing this sort of speculation, to paraphrase Sherlock Holmes, when one has eliminated the possible and probable, one must consider the improbable. Perhaps, just perhaps, some progress could be made if more were willing to do that, and those who lost loved ones on that flight might find some bit of peace.
"The fate of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been shrouded in mystery ever since the passenger jet left Kuala Lumpur for Beijing in the early morning hours of March 8 with 239 people on board. While the Boeing 777 is believed to have crashed in the southern Indian Ocean, international search efforts have so far failed to provide any clues as to what happened to the plane."(Emphasis added)
