Different cultures have different norms regarding the acceptability of body hair. For example, in many countries of the world, women are largely expected to shave their legs and underarm hair when going out in public. But what about that other, far less public patch of hair?
The latest edition of Shogakukan’s News Post Seven teamed up with an online research agency to check up on the status quo of what Japanese women nowadays do with the ‘hair down there,’ especially now that attitudes in Japan are becoming increasingly similar to those in the West. Do they shave it? Tidy it up every so often? Leave it as is? The internet survey disclosed some revealing results.
If you’re a woman and visited a Japanese hot spring before, you may be able to guess that things are about to get a little hairy…
One thousand Japanese women between the ages of 20 and 69 participated in the survey about their own habits regarding pubic hair. The average age of the respondents was 41.9 years, placing a large number of them into the ‘married-with-kids category.’
When asked about the density of their pubic hair, a little more than half of the women, or 53%, said “It grows thick.”
Those women with ‘thick growth’ also provided answers to the question “How do you groom down there?” The most common answer was “I do absolutely nothing,” making up 56.2% of the total responses. Other comments included:
“I remove the hair outside my bikini line” (26%) “I trim the hair shorter” (23.6%) “I remove the hair up to my genital region” (7%) “I remove the hair up to my anal region” (5.5%)
(Writer’s note: Sorry if you’re just waking up to this, folks!)
The article also featured a confirmation by one Ms. Minori Kitahara, who works at a shop in Japan called ‘Love Piece Club’ that offers hair removal services, including Brazilian waxing. This is what she had to say:
“Even nowadays we still see lots of women at hot springs who don’t shave down there at all, so the results of the survey make sense. Even though women shave their underarm hair, they leave their pubic hair as is.Of course, there are an unlimited number of personal reasons why many women see the need to remove pubic hair. To give you some more perspective, in 2012 the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada (SIECCAN) provided an interesting overview about historical practices of pubic hair removal and some recent academic studies into the matter. According to one researcher, pubic hair removal was uncommon among Western women before the 20th century. The razor manufacturing company Gillette proved instrumental in spreading the practice after they began advertising with the message that body hair on women was “unsightly,” which seems a bit harsh to us.
“The customers who we remove pubic hair for here often want it removed for hygienic reasons, because “it’s hot and humid,” and because they place importance on the appearance of the lower half of their bodies.”
Here’s a look from one Canadian study at some of the motivating factors for why women remove their pubic hair:

Although the presence of body hair went in and out of style in the mid to late 20th century, swimsuits and other fashions dictated the gradual cultural trend of women choosing to remove pubic hair. A study from 2008 found that 61% of undergraduate Australian women removed their pubic hair, with the following breakdown: 20% removed a little, 44% removed most of it, and 36% removed all of it. The study also investigated the influence of fashion magazines and popular TV shows on whether women’s decisions. Similarly, a large online study in 201o indicated that 20% of American women between the ages of 18 and 24 reported total hair removal.
Guess we’ll have to wait a few years to see what practices concerning women and hair removal will look like down the road!

Will Big Pharma Ever Stop Squeezing Money Out of People?
By Rebecca Hill
Global Research, January 24, 2017
Region: USA
Theme: Global Economy, Science and Medicine
The below infographic created by The Law Firm highlights the impact of big pharma on Americans.
Big pharma refers to the most influential pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., and this influence goes beyond profits. On average, Americans are spending $1,112 per capita on prescription drugs, four times more than Mexico. Also, the average child has four prescriptions filled per year, while adults fill 12 each year and seniors fill a whopping 27 separate prescriptions each year.
Between August 2013 and December 2014, these pharmaceutical companies spent $3.49 billion in disclosed payments. If you’ve been prescribed drugs from Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer or AstraZeneca, you might benefit from knowing these companies are spending a significant amount more on marketing than on research and development. Johnson & Johnson spent more than double on marketing in 2013, a total of $17.5 billion – and these companies aren’t alone. In fact, 90% of pharmaceutical companies engage in this practice.
If you’re a parent, you’ll be surprised to see that the two doctors earning the highest pharma profits are in family medicine and pediatric critical care. Even more, the top spending pharmaceutical company, Genentech Inc., spent a total of $388 million in payments to doctors. This company is behind the drugs Valium, Klonopin and Xenical.
These aren’t the only statistics presented in this infographic – and with a thorough read, you’ll be able to fully understand how you or your loved one’s health could be impacted in the pursuit of profits.
Take a look at the below infographic to learn more about the power and influence of pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., and how they can be stopped.

Gowdy Is On His Way There Now!
Posted by Matthew Bernstein | Feb 1, 2017
You are sure to recall that during the presidential election, there was a lot of talk about Hillary Clinton and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. This is a committee that is designed to go after government officials that have broken the law. Notably, Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz reside on this board, and are well-known for their vicious work during the Clinton case.
The case? Hillary put the entire nation in jeopardy with her decision to use a private email server, delete thousands and thousands of emails despite being told not to, and involved the State Department in several pay to play schemes through her Clinton Foundation.

Hillary Is Done For!
In other words, she is someone that should be spending her time in a jail cell. Several people were concerned that her case would be dropped moving into the New Year. However those fears have now vanished.
Jason Chaffetz is the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, and has just announced that President Donald Trump instructed him and the Committee to pursue every available avenue they deem appropriate. Trump has made it clear that putting the safety of the American people at risk like Hillary did is well deserving of punishment.

Hillary Is About To Get Bad News
Chaffetz said that the conversation between President Trump and himself took place after the 2017 GOP retreat in Philadelphia. This was also his second time ever speaking with the president in person.
The Utah Republican spoke to the committee saying, “He came up to me and said, ‘you do a great job. You do a great job,’ which of course I agreed with. Then he said, ‘listen, I understand that I am the President. You have a job to do. You do oversight. Don’t slow down. You go after everything you want to go after. You look at everything you want to look at.’”
President Trump made it clear during the debates that he was going to appoint a special prosecutor in the case against Hillary Clinton. Newsflash: that time has now come.
Chaffetz continued, “If you sat there and heard what he said to me about pursuing oversight of the government and the function that we fulfill, you’d be pretty inspiring, and it was inspiring to me. For him to convey the message, ‘don’t slow down, do your job, there’s a lot to get after with the government,’ I think that’s a good message.”

Chaffetz Has The Support Of President Trump
Again, this is just adding to the fact that Hillary is going to face some serious battles with the House Oversight Committee. Chaffetz has already said that he will continue to investigate her use of a primary email server while in charge of the State Department.
“Just because there was a political election doesn’t mean it goes away.” He also called the classified emails that surfaced on the server “the largest breach of security in the history of the State Department.”
If you couple that with all the WikiLeaks emails that had come out during the days leading up to the election, you can clearly see that Hillary was using this to gain a political advantage. A lot of people that were donating to her Foundation did so because she had promised some sort of political favor.
Again, she put the security of the country at risk because of her decision to use a private server. Not only did she do that, but she actively tried to say that it wasn’t a big deal as other people had done that, like Colin Powell.
No, Powell used a personal email account that was used for unclassified materials, like lunch runs or anything related to that. Hillary actively put the safety and security of the country at risk because of her decision, and she should suffer the consequences for it.

Hillary Did The Crime, Now She’ll Do The Time
Actions have consequences, and putting the safety of the nation at risk is a pretty big action. Therefore, it requires a big consequence. The other thing to realize is that there is no way that Hillary can be saved. There were fears that former President Barack Obama would have pardoned Hillary over this. Now that he is out of office, there is no way that she can be saved. We’re finally going to see justice!
Also, one of Hillary and Bill Clinton’s global foundations was shut down mere months after she lost the election. That is just further proof that she was using it as a way to get political favors. Now that she isn’t in office, how can she promise those favors?
Not to mention that Hillary’s other foundation is still being investigated by the FBI in several different states. There is a lot going on for the former Secretary of State, and absolutely none of them are any good for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI placed charges against her for her “charity.”
Share this article to show that President Trump has just given Chaffetz the ability to go after what he wants. That means that Hillary Clinton is finally finished and justice will prevail. Trump did say that he was going to restore law and order to the country. Going after someone that put the nation in danger is a good way to start.
