State
Senator and congressional candidate to replace former congressman Jesse
Jackson, Jr. Donne Trotter, who is a strong gun-control advocate, was
busted at O’Hare airport by security with an “…unloaded .25 caliber
Beretta handgun.” Trotter has been charged with a Class 4 felony and
his bond is set to $25,000. Trotter is obviously a man who believes
“You should do as I say, not as I do.”
What was he thinking in the first place attempting to board an airplane while having a firearm in his possession? Oh that’s right, he thinks the law doesn’t apply to him.
He called the carrying of his weapon and extra magazines in his carry on an “oversight,” due to his also working for a security company. That may be, but considering it was in his carry on, I find it hard to believe it was an oversight. How about hypocrisy.
