Follow the Money: Do Elitist Forces Control the Release of Technology?

Money! by Tracy O via http://www.flickr.com/photos/tracy_olson/61056391/

When you begin the serious study of UFOs, it’s almost impossible to avoid at least some discussion of conspiracy theories. For many, UFOs and aliens themselves are alleged to be a part of some grand conspiracy that deals with genetic manipulation of the populace; on the other extreme, the only conspiracy is the outright lie that UFOs have anything to do with space aliens at all.
However not all such theories are quite so far out; for instance, it’s long been held that the U.S. Government has sought to suppress information about UFOs, prompting the exopolitical community recently to take advantage of the Obama Administration’s “We the People” petitions, in an attempt to get them to release info on UFOs (and as expected, the White House gave their expected response regarding the issue). But what if there really were forces seeking not only to control the dissemination of information regarding UFOs and ETs, but also whether or not certain technologies were made available to the public? Furthermore, how might such supposed groups or cabals be related to the global economy, and it’s control of monetary systems worldwide?
A new film, titled Thrive: What on Earth Will it Take, seeks to address such questions. With an expected release date of November 11th (granting it association with the memorable “11-11-11″ sequence), press materials related to the film have stated the following:
THRIVE is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what’s REALLY going on in our world by following the money upstream — uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.
While there is no mention of UFOs or aliens made here, the trailer tells a slightly different story:

Sporting such names as news anchor Amy Goodman (Democracy NOW!) and Deepak Chapra, it’s interesting to see that a documentary of it’s apparent caliber will also include interview segments featuring David Icke and Dr. Stephen Greer, both of whom have publicly advocated UFO-oriented conspiracies in the past. This isn’t to say that such names will take anything away from the presentation, of course; if anything, the Thrive documentary may altogether be more well-rounded as a result. However, in the tradition of similar “global elitists are controlling the global economy and everything beneath it” films (in the spirit of Peter Jospeh’s Zeitgeist and a few others), it is interesting to see a presentation that figures UFOs so heavily into the story.
Whatever the case may be, this one should prove to be an interesting romp through a variety of the emergent futurist and conspiracy-oriented movements many freedom and technology advocates have adopted in the last few years. With hope, it will also provide, if anything, a more balanced perspective of the situation too, giving fair time and interest to subjects like UFOs, free energy, and other topics that are so often black-listed when it comes to serious discussion.

RUSSIA IN THE MIDDLE EAST: PUTIN SPEAKS TO HIS ...

While we're on the topic of the geopolitical earthquake taking place in Europe and the Middle East with Mr. Putin's recent decision to answer calls for military assistance from Damascus, consider the contents - the extremely important contents - of this article shared by Mr. M.S.:
Putin to Russian army officers: operation 'Salvation' shall begin soon, you must prepare to cleanse Syria from Obama's terrorists
Consider the remarks that Moskovskaya Pravda reported that Mr. Putin made to his officers:
"We have nearly two million orthodox Christians in the Levant—Syria and Lebanon— and approximately 5 million Christians across Middle-East. Regardless of America's presidential election outcome, White House craves chaos in that oil-rich region by supporting fanatic Islamist organizations, i.e. ISIS and al-Nusra Front," Moskovskaya Pravda cited the Russian president as saying.
It is morally incumbent upon Russia to change this terrible status quo in the Middle-East , added Mr.Putin ,  prepare for operation 'Salvation' and with God almighty's aid , we shall cleanse Syria from Obama's ruthless terrorists.
This is another geopolitical earthquake, for if Mr. Putin did indeed make such remarks, it is an indication that Mr. Putin's government is prepared to revive the old foreign policy, and role, of Russia under the Tsars, namely, to act as the guarantor of Orthodox Christians within Europe and the Middle East. This comes as no surprise to this author, for I've been insisting for many years both publicly and private(most recently in private correspondence to a friend in Indonesia) that the West's - largely America's - reading of Mr. Putin and his government is entirely wrong. Strong-handed he may be, but he is not a throwback to Stalin, but rather to the late autocracy of Nicholai I or perhaps Alexander II and so on. Notably, in his remarks, Mr. Putin also clearly stated that the USA is ultimately behind the rise of the radical ISIS group. But there is also another target of Mr. Putin's remarks:
Addressing the Russian top brass on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin lambasted U.S. Middle-East policy for being 'disastrous' as Saudi-backed rebels vowed to purge Syria and Iraq from Christians and other ethnic and religious minorities.
(Emphasis added)
In other words, Moscow is simply not going to sit idly by and allow the USA and its radicalized allies to commit genocide against minorities in the name of a foreign policy being dictated by Wahhabism, and thereby to destablize the entire region.
These statements, along with the recent meetings of the French, Russian, and German foreign minsiters in Berlin, indicate that the geopolitical earthquake now taking place in response to what is increasingly perceived as disastrous American meddling in the Middle East, and its unimaginably disastrous policy of backing radical Islamicist groups, is neither a transitory nor illusory phenomenon. It is fast becoming a major and semi-permanent feature of the geopolitics of the region. These statements, couple with Moscow's and Tehran's mutual alliance, and the role that France, Germany, and Russia played behind the scenes in brokering the nuclear agreement with Iran, plus those recent and sudden Saudi trips and overtures to Moscow, indicate just how precarious Washington's and Riyadh's position is fast becoming. Add France, Germany, and possibly even China to the mix, and even London's growing but quietly voiced maneuvering to position itself favorably with China's New Silk Road intentions, and the earthquake is heading toward the upper reaches of the Richter scale.
Clearly, Mr. Putin has now openly stated what has long been argued in the west's alternative press: the radical terrorist group of today was yesterday's "freedom fighters," and their ties go all the way to Washington, Riyadh, and Ankara, and to the old wounds that are still festering from World War One. What remains to be seen is how Paris and Berlin will react to such claims and statements, for react they must. My high octane speculation? I suspect that the reaction, at least officially, will be to attempt toi strike an unrealistic "balance" bewteen Mr. Putin's claims, and Washington's denials. But the real thing to watch will be the French and German populations, and the parties in opposition to their governments, for the average Frenchman and German also is feeling the pressure and fallout from Washington's disastrous policies in the growing refugee crisis in Europe.
And there's one final player in this geopolitical earthquake that we must remember in this context, one who is often overlooked, and who, his nutty pronouncements about climate change notwithstanding, has weighed in on the Middle East, and that's Pope Francis I, for recall, not too long ago, that he made the very un-ecumenical statement to the effect that Christians do have the right to defend themselves against radical Islamcism. Many of the Christians that Mr. Putin refers to in his reported remarks are in fact Maronite Eastern Rite Roman Catholics, particularly in Lebanon and western Syria, and even in Damascus itself. My prediction? Excpect more personal meetings between Mr. Putin and the Pope, and expect them in the near future, possibly even in Moscow.
And that will be - for those familair both with recent Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox history - an earthquake of an altogether different kind, one both geopolitical and religious, all at once.

Govt decides to ban GMO food production in Russia – deputy PM

A senior Russian government member told reporters the cabinet decided that any food production in the country will completely exclude any genetically-modified organisms or parts thereof.
As far as genetically-modified organisms are concerned, we have made decision not to use any GMO in food productions,” Deputy PM Arkady Dvorkovich said at an international conference on biotechnology in the Russian city of Kirov.
At the same time the official emphasized that there was a very clear line between this decision and the development of science, medicine and some other branches.
This is not a simple issue, we must do very thorough work on division on these spheres and form a legal base on this foundation,” he said.

In February 2014, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered the creation of a national research base for genetically-modified organisms that would provide the authorities with expert information and allow for further legislative movements and executive decisions. Medvedev also warned against perceiving GMO products as “absolute evil,” but said that the government did not support their use in the food industry.
At the same time a group of MPs backed by parliamentary majority party United Russia drafted the bill that severely restricted the imports of genetically-modified agricultural produce, and completely banning its domestic production. This draft has not passed through parliament, but later in the year the State Duma approved a package of amendments imposing fines on businesses which sell products containing genetically-modified organisms without adequate labeling to warn consumers.

According to official statistics the share of GMO in the Russian food industry has declined from 12 percent to just 0.01 percent over the past 10 years, and currently there are just 57 registered food products containing GMO in the country. The law ordering obligatory state registration of GMO products that might contact with the environment will come into force in mid-2017.

THE GMO SCRAPBOOK: MORE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES JOINING GMO BANS

We have been following the GMO story here on this website, and the growing opposition to the whole idea of GMOs, and the big corporations backing them, at the potential hazard of the human food supply, the environment, and human health itself. And there is a pattern that has emerged, one so obvious that it hardly needs stating, but one so obvious that one must state it: it seems that one can protest GMOs, and effectively ban them, in almost every country on earth, except the USA and its English-speaking allies.
Consider the growing list of GMO banning, or partially banning countries, in Europe alone, as stated in these articles shared by Ms. M.W:
Lithuania Bans GM Crops as Biotech Industry Loses More Ground
Consider the statements at the end of this article, and the list of countries in Europe that have used recent EU regulations to "opt out" of permitting commercial GM crop production:
The Director of the Agricultural Production and Food Department at Lithuania’s Ministry of Agriculture, Rimantas Krasuckis, simply stated that GM crops are “not proven”.
On Monday, Northern Ireland also joined the massive wave of EU countries that have decided to ban the cultivation of GM crops under new EU regulations that were passed earlier in 2015.
Northern Ireland and Lithuania have followed France, who announced their decision last week, and also Greece and Latvia in asking for an opt-out from growing GM crops. Germany and Scotland have also made it clear that they will follow the same path.
German Agriculture Minister Christian Schmidt informed German states in August of his intention to use a new EU law, passed in March, to ban the use of GM crops. This followed the Scottish Government’s announcement earlier in the same month that they will take similar action to protect Scotland’s clean, green status.
The German announcement also came as Professor Carlo Leifert, Professor of Ecological Agriculture at Newcastle University, said that he strongly believes the Scottish Government ban on GM crops is right and that “there are likely to be significant commercial benefits from Scotland being clearly recognized as a GM-free region”. (Emphasis added)
So note something here, in addition to the following countries in Europe now being GM-free:
  1. Scotland;
  2. Greece;
  3. Latvia;
  4. France;
  5. Germany;
  6. Lithuania
apparently in Europe it is also permissible for government bureaucrats to state the obvious, but what has become a "taboo" subject in the United States and its English-speaking allies (like Australia, Canada, etc), where to point out the growing scientific doubt and skepticism over GMOs and the industry's claims to have "tested" their products adequately, is to be labeled a Luddite or conspiracy theorist. Or worse. In Hawaii's Maui county, one cannot even vote to remove the stuff, because IG Farbensanto will take it to courts where a judge who has interesting connections to the GMO cartel will hear the case and dismiss the vote. Sort of like the 2000 decision by the Supremes to hand a contested election to yet another poisonous crop.  Note also in this article that Europe's two largest economies have joined the ban, and that commercial reasons are not being touted for it, a statement which recalls the University of Iowa study that I blogged about many months ago, wherein long term studies showed the commercial non-viability of GMO production over the long term.
Now consider this second article, also shared by Ms. M.W; Austria and Italy Celebrate Bans on GM Crops with EU Opt-Out
So you can add Austria and, more importantly, Italy, the third of Europe four major economic and military powers, to the GMO ban list. And what is intriguing here is this statement:
Meanwhile, the Italian Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina, alongside Environment Minister,  Gian Luca Galletti and Minister of Health Beatrice Lorenzin announced that they are preparing 8 letters (one for each GM maize variety) that will be received by the EU before October 3 with Italy’s demand for an opt-out from growing GM crops. (Emphasis added)
One can only surmise here what those eight letters might contain, but I strong suspect that the Italians, like every other major agricultural producer in Europe, have been doing some quiet little studies of their own, and have detected "problems" with the "infallble science" of IG Farbensanto, Syncrudda, and other GMO-promoting corporations.
And since Northern Ireland and Hungary and Russia have also banned the products, that list in Europe is now growing quite long.
The point here isn't that science or technology is bad, nor even that genetically altered crops are ipso facto bad. The point all along has been that the claims of adequate scientific  intergenerational testing have been false, or dubious. And in this emerging story, it has been - not surprisingly - Russia that has questions the whole thing. And this raises the other point I've been attempting to make here in blogging about the GMO issue if one ponders the growing list of GMO banning countries, GMOs have become a geopolitical issue, and one that has huge implications for American foreign and domestic policy.
It is remarkable that it is only in the USA, Canada, and Australia, where the madness of mercantilist policies and "science" continues. If American agriculture is to continue being a major player in world economics and if America is to continue to have a respected voice in international affairs, it might want to rethink its whole domestic policy and attitude toward GMO-promoting companies, for as today's "tidbit" shows, Russian protests against GMOs are also seen as an international geopolitical issue, and GMOs have come to symbolize, for some Russians, American imperialism, decadence, and disregard for the fundamentals of human health and the environment.
