Patient prescription drug records may be used to deny Americans their constitutional rights

Patient prescription drug records may be used to deny Americans their constitutional rights

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) All Americans who have been prescribed psychiatric medications could be denied their constitutional rights under gun control legislation expected to be introduced into the U.S. Senate on January 22nd. Although the actual text of the bill is not yet available to the public, the heavy emphasis on "mental health" in recent gun control discussions echoes the present-day denial of Second Amendment rights to veterans diagnosed with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).

In an effort to deny gun ownership "privileges" to as many Americans as possible, Sen. Feinstein and other proponents of total citizen disarmament could simply expand the definition of those deemed "mentally unfit" for gun purchases to include anyone who has ever been prescribed an antidepressant or a drug for ADHD.

I give credit for this realization to Jon Rappoport, editor of No More Fake News. In a phone conversation yesterday evening, he brought this to my attention, even describing psychiatrists as "the new cops" who get to determine whether you have any rights at all.

Conducting further research on the subject, I found that a national database of prescription drug users already exists. It was created by the National All Schedules Prescription Electronic Reporting Act (NASPER) signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2005.

A government prescription drug surveillance program is already in place

The intent of the NASPRE law was to stop patients from "doc hopping" from one city or state to another in a scam to acquire prescription "controlled substances" such as powerful painkillers. But the effort to monitor controlled substances has morphed into something far more insidious: a multi-state, data-sharing prescription drug surveillance program now run by 48 states.

The website for that program is www.pmpalliance.org which lists its board members as heads of the very same pharmacies that sell controlled substances for profit. And guess where PMPalliance.org gets its funding? The U.S. Dept. of Justice.

This means Obama can simply issue an executive orderrequiring the DOJ start using the patient prescription surveillance data for a whole new reason: To add people to a "NO GUN BUY list" in much the same way people are mysteriously added to the TSA's "no-fly lists" today. (Once you're on the no-fly list, there's no way to remove yourself from it, no way to challenge being on the list, no due process and absolutely no ability to sue the government to try to get off the list.)

If you take antidepressants, you could be denied the right to self defense

The upshot of all this is that if you ever have purchased prescribed antidepressants or other psychiatric drugs, that record already exists in a government database that could soon be used against you as a weapon to deny you your constitutional rights.

All the government has to do is copy the entire database of psychiatric medication patients it already possesses, then paste that list into the FBI's instant gun-purchase background check system known as NICS.

Once flagged in the NICS database, you will never be able to legally purchase a firearm again in America.

Importantly, this action does not require any new laws to be passed by Congress. Obama can simply invoke this with an executive order, then demand the FBI and ATF begin to immediately enforce this new regulation, even if it is utterly unconstitutional.

Yet another reason to never purchase antidepressants or other psych drugs

The possibility of this "mental health crackdown" on Second Amendment rights is yet another reason to avoid ever purchasing or using such medications. Not only are SSRI drugs linked to violence and suicides; simply purchasing a bottle of such medications causes your name to be recorded in a government database as having done so. This can immediately flag you as "guilty" even if you've never done anything wrong.

Your prescription drug history can obviously be used against you, completely outside any court of law or due process. In the same way, counseling records of your sessions with psychologists may also be used against you. Although such records are supposed to be protected by law, those laws can simply be overridden by a single signature from President Obama, invoking a "national emergency for the children" or similarly manipulative language. As long as it's "for the children," you see, gutting the entire Bill of Rights is morally justifiable, isn't it?

Parents may be denied Second Amendment rights if their children are taking psychiatric drugs

It's not even necessary that you take the drugs yourself in order to be added to the "no gun buy list." Merely having your children on such drugs could be sufficient to have your name added to the list.

Why? Because, as you may recall, the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut involved a young man undergoing psychiatric treatment who stole firearms from his mother and used them to carry out the crime. Thus, government lawyers or bureaucrats can simply argue that no household in which a psychiatric drug patient resides can be allowed to purchase or possess any firearms of any kind.

Don't think this is possible? Ten years ago, nobody would have thought the TSA would be sexually molesting elderly woman at the airports. Nobody thought the U.S. President would sign a law "legalizing" secret arrests and detainment of U.S. citizens. Nobody thought the government would take over health care and thereby build a federal database of patient records. Nobody ever thought the government would launch a network of domestic surveillance drones to spy on us from the skies. And on top of all that, Obama promised he would never come after your guns.

The road to tyranny is paved with "nobody ever thought" realizations. This is why it's so important to keep government small and out of our private lives. When the government doesn't run healthcare, it doesn't have access to patient prescription records. When the government doesn't control what food you can buy and sell, we don't end up with armed raids on raw milk distributors. When the government doesn't run the education system, we don't end up with insanely stupid ideas like announcing all our children are completely unprotected by posting "Gun Free Zone" signs outside public schools. (That was a federal program, can't you tell?)

Get the government out of our lives and we'll have no wars, no terrorism, no overpriced health care and no school shootings. The government is the PROBLEM. The solution is to drastically cut the size and scope of government.

The Next School Massacre Target?

W e are in no way endorsing the senseless violence or prosthesis Demented killers based on our research of "The Dark Knight Rises" massacre connections. If you have leg volgende the articles here, you will have discovered a connection between the Aurora, Colorado and the Newtown, Connecticut (Sandy Hook Elementary) massacres and "The Dark Knight Rises."

Giles County Schools Superintendent, Dr.. Terry Arbogast closes schools after reading this article
The first massacre alleged, James Holmes, was the shooter who killed 12 people (also left 58 injured) in the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" and now Adam Lanza the alleged killer of 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT .

Batman Massacre: Eyewitness Testimony CONTRADICTS Official Story  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yzcE0V5jVJY

Mainstream media has not touched the fact "SANDY HOOK" is referenced on a map in the latest Batman movie. Commissioner Gordon, briefly drags his hand across the "SANDY HOOK" part of the map, at 1 hour and 58 minutes into the film. What are the chances of this being a Coincidence? Or is this a subtle blueprint being followed by sick individuals? What other Clues can be gleaned from the map?
The next strike zone on the map "NARROWS" and just on a hunch I entered "NARROWS SCHOOLS" into GOOGLE Search and this is what I discovered. Narrows Elementary Middle School and Narrows High School, located in Narrows, Virginia. In this made me cringe when I saw a match and I hope there is no relationship to the map and another school massacre. I hope the professionals in law enforcement read this post and take the, geschikt measures to protect the innocent, young and old (just as a precaution).

I have been asking myself for years WHY on earth do the Illuminati always present (through occult masking) all their upcoming plans into médias, movies, or music? What is the reason or hun support to Those hard-rock, pop musicians? "

One of the readers left a comment and directive to research: "Why the Illuminati telegraphs their moves." Out of curiosity I located the page and arose to read it. The author highlighted the answer is in the Kabbala. These curses are known as "Pulsa Dinura" and ze must be made known in order to manifest in the physical realm. Is this why YouTube is replete with video analysis of movies which accurately predicted a killing event in reality?

Kabbalistic Pulsa d'Nura curse on Ariel Sharon 2005 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BpXVt0kQwgY

With all of this being said, is it plausible to infer "NARROWS" will be the next target? I Would have to say, yes it is plausible. If you notice from zowel or synthesis Batman events the shooter is dead or mentally deadened to testify. Giving law enforcement the ability to take one fact and paint whatever picture ze because around it. I am not sure if you are aware of this; but, at the beginning of the Sandy Hook tragedy a man was escorted from the woods wearing camouflage pants and ferreted away by law enforcement. I have not heard anything else about this, have you?

Another strange relationship to "The Dark Knight Rising" to December 21, 2012. If you have studied ancient Egypt and the Mayan civilization you know what I am talking about. The creation of Batman is an overlay to the ancient Egyptian Goddess of the Milky Way. She was known as Ba, (also Bat) and was later bastardized into a man called ... Batman. In fact, if you look at a picture of the Milky Way you will actually see the "Bat" in it!

Dark Rift of the Soul 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD_WInXC3O8&feature=player_embedded

Now on 12/21/2012 the Sun (fire) will rise in the "Dark Rift" of the Milky Way mirroring the title "The Dark Knight Rises" with the "The Dark Night Rises." What does this have to do with the Murders? That is a good question. Maybe nothing and maybe everything. You Would agree there are far too many Coincidences with this ihb movie coalescing into real world events marred by tragedy.

Ephesians 6:12

New International Version (NIV)

12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the Authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Perhaps, this is a type of global energy harvest? It is safe to say, the whole world is Mourning the young lives taken to soon. Our emotions ("e" motions) are actually energy in motion and they are surely tainted with Sadness, grief and fear. A Bountiful harvest or negative emotions? Is this an offering to the Dark Rift? Why else target so many children?
Newtown, CT "Golden Gate" star configuration
In Another interesting "Coincidence" is when the killings arose the Lupas star constellation was rising over Newtown, Connecticut. Lupas is a star constellation dat has a relationship to being Slain an offering of sorts. Yes, it's constellation dat represents a sacrifice and an offering on the alter to Zeus. What are the chances while a classroom or children are being Slain (blood is spilled) the constellation of sacrifice is rising with the meridian in Newtown, Connecticut?

Lupus (Victima the Victim Slain)

Its modern name is Lupus In (a wolf), because it looks like one. It 'may be any animal. The great point of this ancient constellation that the animal has bone Slain, and in the act of falling down dead.

Its Greek name is Thera, a beast, and Lycos, a wolf. Its Latin name is Victima, or Bestia (Vulg. Gen 8:17), dat scenescent Cultivar the great lesson. This is confirmed by its ancient Hebrew names, Asedah, and Arabic Asedaton, dat both mean to be Slain.

I wondered what the star configuration would be on July 20, 2012 at 12:38 am. This was the day the alleged killer James Holmes committed his senseless Murders in Aurora, Colorado. I Captured the location and you should not be surprised, the star configuration is very similar to the star configuration or the Sandy Hook Murders. Take a gander at it and see if you see a pattern.
Aurora, CO "Golden Gate" star configuration
As you can see the day of the Sandy Hook Murders is swollen with strange Coincidence and anomalies. Or the all of the possible Constellations to be rising over Newtown AND Aurora, the one associated with sacrifices is rising, while the Murders are transpiring. Two massacres related to "The Dark Knight Rises" and the movie title can be clearly associated with "The Dark Night Rising" on December 21, 2012. Where there is smoke there is fire?
Updated 8:02 pm (EST)
We just learned another strange occurrence the Sandy Hook folder from "The Dark Knight Rises" is real! Yes, it is an overlay from Google Maps. Watch below, great work.

Update January 1, 2013 1:42 pm EST

There died a "Narrows" located in New York City. This could make the above-mentioned theory slice. Remember folks this is all in fact a "In theory." It was written because there is nothing more precious than children.

Update January 6, 2013 3:57 pm EST

Many people are emailing us stating preserve the reference to the "Illuminati" makes this article unbelievable. We felt it was necessary, to clarify the "Illuminati" reference. A reader cent us a link and asked us to review "how curses work" and this was more about understanding this aspect. The point of this article was to take a Spiritual approach or understanding these events. We are in no way endorsing a "Conspiracy Theory" or the "Illuminati"; but, more so Identifying patterns and synchronicity between the massacres.

Popular video game consoles such as Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360 may resemble the new battlefields for national security in the eyes of the U.S. military. The U.S. Navy has begun funding a project to hack previously owned game consoles in an effort to dig up gamers' online chat room information and other stored data.
U.S. console gamers can breathe a tiny sigh of relief for now, because the current project forbids targeting "U.S. persons." Instead, the Navy wants a California-based company called Obscure Technologies to buy video game consoles bought in used overseas markets, and to create computer forensic tools capable of hacking such consoles.
"This project requires the purchasing of used video game systems outside the US in a manner that is likely to result in their containing significant and sensitive information from previous users," according to a Navy justification and approval notice issued yesterday (March 26).

Obscure Technologies apparently has plenty of experience in hacking game consoles to mine data — the company's lead scientist had "previously reverse engineered the Microsoft Xbox," according to the Navy's notice.
"Analysis of the game systems requires specific knowledge of working with the hardware of embedded systems that have significant anti-tampering technology," the Navy notice says. "Obscure Technologies has substantial experience in working with such systems."

Sgt. Daniel Tripp, of Chapel Hill, N.C.(left), and Sgt. Dustin Butcher, of Wilson, N.C., unwind between missions by testing each other's golfing abilities on an Xbox game as Sgt. Joseph Jones, of Boomer, N.C. waits for his turn in the competition June 30. The three are infantrymen with Company B, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team and live together at Joint Security Station Saydiyah, in southern Baghdad.

The Navy wants the company to not only hack "dirty" used game consoles, but also to show how to scrape "clean" data from newly bought game consoles. The new consoles being provided for such testing include a pair of Nintendo Wii consoles, a pair of Sony Playstation 3 systems, and a pair of Microsoft Xbox 360 systems, according to a project summary posted on Feb. 15.
The military isn't alone in wanting to mine data from video games, even if its focus may lean more toward tracking terrorists and enemies abroad. Both game studios and academic researchers have come up with ways to track gamer actions and behaviors during specific PC or console video games — either for better understanding gamers as customers or for studying human behavior in the equivalent of virtual labs.
There is also nothing particularly secretive about the hacking project. The Navy contract specifies that it plans to publicize the results at conferences and publish in academic journals, as well as make open- source software from the contract available to academic researchers.
Still, the Navy does expect Obscure Technologies to deliver hardware and software capable of hacking video game consoles at the end of its $177,000, 15-month contract in July 2013. Such tools are expected to be made for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate — and there's no particular mention of what Homeland Security might want with them.

Mystery Google Device Appears in Small-Town Iowa

A closeup of the “Pluto Switch,” a mystery hardware device that landed on the edge of Iowa this past winter. Images: networking-forum.com
Photos of the mystery computing device appeared on the web in late February. Taken with a smartphone, they were a bit washed out and a little blurry in places, but you could easily read the name printed on the long, thin piece of hardware. “Pluto Switch,” the label said.
The images were posted by two men who said the device had unexpectedly turned up at a branch office in the tiny farmland town of Shelby, Iowa — population: 641 — and they were hoping someone could tell them what it was.
Clearly, these two men were familiar with the ins and outs of computer networking, and clearly, this was a networking switch, a way of shuttling data between machines. But they’d never heard of the Pluto Switch, and it was littered with networking ports they’d never seen before. “Any ideas?” they asked. “The writing on the back is Finnish.”
According to posts they made to an obscure web discussion forum dedicated to networking hardware — networking-forum.com — they couldn’t actually get the thing to work. But they turned up a few clues indicating who the device belonged to, and eventually, after putting two and two together, they said they’d located the owner and sent the switch back.
It belonged, they said, to Google.
At first, Google didn’t respond to their phone calls, the men said, and when it did, it wouldn’t explain the switch. But apparently, the company offered a reward for its return. “Finally got a hold of a Google network engineer, so the switches are heading home. He wouldn’t tell me what the connector type was so that’s still a mystery,” one of the men told the forum. “The engineer was cool and is going to send us some shirts the public can’t buy.”
Google calls itself one of the world’s largest hardware makers. For the past 10 years, the web giant has designed much of the gear driving the massive data centers that underpin its web empire, but it treats the particulars of this hardware operation as the most important of trade secrets. That’s why the Pluto Switch is so intriguing.
The mystery switch may provide a small window into the networking hardware that drives the Googlenet — and indicate where the rest of the web is going. In recent years, Google’s efforts to redesign data center hardware have nudged other web giants in a similar direction, with Amazon, Facebook, and even Microsoft exploring custom-built data center gear. When a web empire reaches a certain size, you see, it needs gear that’s much cheaper and more efficient than the hardware typically offered by big-name sellers such as Cisco, HP, and Dell.
Google declined to comment on the switch. But according to J.R. Rivers — an ex-Google engineer who helped design Google’s first networking switches in 2005 — the Pluto Switch seems to run Google software, and it uses hardware you don’t typically find on standard networking switches. Though he has no way of knowing whether it was designed by Google itself, he says it bears all the signs of gear that was custom built for a massive online operation.
“I’d venture to bet that this is home-grown data center gear,” he told Wired, after reviewing the photos.
Certainly, all signs point to Google, and at the very least, the photos highlight why Google has gone to such great lengths to build its own data center hardware. According to Rivers, the switch is a significantly streamlined version of what you might buy on the open market. “The big difference,” he says, “is that this switch has forgone the standard physical layer for something less expensive.” Even those mystery networking ports are a way of cutting costs.
A glimpse of the network traffic generated by the Pluto Switch, thanks to an analysis tool called Wireshark
Pluto Lands In Shelby
The two men who posted the photos said they worked for a company that’s headquartered in Wisconsin but runs a distribution center in Shelby, Iowa, about 30 miles from a data center Google operates in another Iowa town called Council Bluffs. Apparently, the switches were delivered to the distribution center in late December or January, several weeks before the photos were posted.
“My guess is the carrier unloaded them by mistake,” said one of the two men, who seemed to be computer gurus working at the company’s HQ. “About a month later, they were shipped up to me at the corporate offices in Wisconsin. We’ve been trying to figure out what they were for the last few weeks.”
When they posted the first photo, they already had one pretty good clue on their hands. A vendor code used by the switch, they said, was registered to Google. But they didn’t seem to realize that Google designed its own switches. Eventually, others on the forum pointed them in the right direction, and the clues kept coming.
‘They said that the switches had been returned to Google and that Google had asked them to attempt to remove the thread.’
— Steve Spangle
At one point, someone else on the forum offered to buy the switches. But then he had second thoughts. “It’s very likely that these really are Google’s and I’m sure they want them back,” he said. “Apple’s lost then sold iPhone ordeal with Gizmodo comes to mind.”
At first, the two men couldn’t get into the switch “console,” the interface that would provide more info about the device. It pumped out nothing but gibberish. But when they finally got it working, others on the forum were confident the mystery was solved. The console identified the hardware board inside the device as a “Google Planet8541 Pluto Edge Switch.”
The identity of the two men has now been scrubbed from the forum. According to Steve Spangle, the owner of networking-forum.com, they requested anonymity after talking to Google. “[They] asked me to delete the thread,” Spangle tells Wired. “They said that the switches had been returned to Google and that Google had asked them to attempt to remove the thread. Instead, I scrubbed their usernames from all posts, replacing them with myself as the post author.”
The men who posted the photos may work for a company called Menard’s, a retail outfit headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin that runs a distribution center in Shelby. But an employee at the distribution center said that Menard’s was not the company in question, and we were unable to reach the CIO’s office in Wisconsin. A company spokesperson did not provide answers to our questions.
Spangle says that he has not been directly contacted by Google about the posts, but that he would remove the thread if Google asked him.
As we published this story, the photos, a data dump from the console, and other information about the switch were still available on the forum. All this provides a rather detailed picture of the Pluto Switch. And it may point to much more.
Networking ports on the Pluto Switch were unlike any the forum had seen.
‘I Know Who Made This … Just by Looking at It’
When we showed the photos to Andrew Feldman — the founder of SeaMicro, a new-age server outfit now owned by chip designer AMD — he said he knows the engineer who built it. “I know who made this … just by looking at it,” he told us over the phone. “I know the engineer. I’m looking at it, and I know an engineer’s work.”
He wouldn’t say who the engineer was, and he didn’t link the switch back to Google. But Feldman has a history with Google. He once worked for Force10 Networks, a company he says sold hundreds of millions of dollars in networking equipment to Google — before Google started designing its own gear.
When we showed the photos to Google, the company said they were old. “I don’t think we have much to say on this front,” a Google spokesperson told us. “These forum posts are from over 7 months ago.”
‘I know who made this just by looking at it. I know the engineer. I’m looking at it and I know an engineer’s work.’
— Andrew Feldman
Nowadays, Google designs most of the hardware that drives its web services, including servers and the data center facilities themselves, and it sees this custom hardware work is a competitive advantage over all the other big-name websites struggling to instantly accommodate requests from millions of users across the globe. That’s why it treats the hardware as a trade secret.
Earlier this year, after years of rumors, Google revealed that it designs specialized networking hardware for moving data between its data centers — hardware that uses a new protocol for managing networking gear called OpenFlow — but the company provided few details about the hardware itself. And it’s still tight-lipped about the networking hardware used to move data inside its computing facilities. As recently as June, Urs Hölzle — the man who oversees the Googlenet — declined to discuss the matter.
But the information posted to the forum indicates that the Pluto Switch is at least akin to devices Google uses inside its data centers. An “edge switch” is a device that connects servers inside a data center to a larger network. These are also called “top-of-rack” switches, as they typically sit at the top of a rack of servers.
Ex-Google engineer J.R. Rivers — who now runs a networking outfit called Cumulus Networks — says this appears to be an older switch, something that has been used for about three years or so. And he questions whether Google would put label like “Pluto Switch” on its custom-designed gear. But in all likelihood, this is a device that belongs to Google, and as described in the forum, it’s representative of the company’s overall hardware philosophy.
With its custom hardware, Google aims to improve the operation of its data centers, but it also seeks to reduce costs. Because it operates at such an enormous scale — the company now runs its services across as many as three dozen data centers across the globe — it can save vast amounts of money by reducing power consumption and stripping hardware to its bare essentials.
According to Rivers, the Pluto Switch is an example of this sort of streamlining. He points out that the “physical layer” that transports data across the device is a stripped-down version of what you’d see in a typical switch. It still uses optical fiber lines to move data, but it relies on a much less expensive collection of hardware.
Those networking ports on the Pluto had many people on the forum scratching their heads. “That must have come from outer space (as the name also implies),” said one poster on the forum, responding to the photos. But Andrew Feldman says they’re a way of cutting costs. “This is a different type of connector, because connectors are extremely expensive,” he told us. “They’re designed to take a modified cable. My guess is they’re making the cable as well.”
A look inside the Pluto Switch, where a Broadcom “Scorpion” chip drives the device’s 10 gigabit connections
Where the World Is Going
The Pluto Switch was built for a network that can theoretically handle 10 gigabits of data a second, a big step up from the 1 gigabit networks that still dominate the data center landscape. According to Rivers, it offers 20 ports for 10-gigabit speeds and four others for 1 gigabit.
Other information posted to the forum, Rivers says, indicates that the switches use a central 10-gigabit chip known as Scorpion, a processor manufactured by Broadcom. Broadcom now offers a more advanced 10-gigabit chip known as the Trident.
Google was at the forefront of the move to 10-gigabit Ethernet networks, and the technology is now starting to spread across the industry. Facebook just recently moved to 10-gigabit Ethernet inside its new data center in western North Carolina.
The question is whether the Facebooks and the Amazons will also follow Google’s efforts to significantly cut the cost of its networking gear. But they’re already moving in that direction.
In designing its own gear, Google also reduced costs by removing the middleman. Rather than purchase switches from big-name hardware sellers such as Cisco and HP, it took its custom designs to manufacturers in Asia — the same manufacturers who build hardware for the Ciscos and the HPs. In recent months, other web giants have followed suit, looking to buy their own dirt-cheap gear directly from Asian manufacturers.
They’ve yet to go as far as Google. Odds are, they’re just buying commodity gear from Asia rather than coming to manufacturers with their own designs. But this may change. They too need ways of cutting big costs across their data center networks — and Facebook is already designing all sorts of other hardware for the data center.
The other web giants may not have access to a Pluto Switch. But you can bet they’re looking at something an awful lot like it.

Ban all people on psychiatric medication from owning guns, driving cars or voting for President

Ban all people on psychiatric medication from owning guns, driving cars or voting for President

Mike Adams
Natural News I know how to stop the next school shooting, save the children and restore some sanity to America. Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter, was on medication, we now know. So were previous shooters like the two students at Columbine High School in the 1999 Colorado shooting. Medication makes some people go crazy with violence.
There has been a lot of talk these past few days about banning guns. But the idea of banning guns from all the GOOD people — the sane, law-abiding citizens of America — is ludicrous. What really makes sense is banning gun purchases and ownership among mentally MEDICATED people.
Yep. If they’re on psychiatric meds, they get no guns. But why stop there? Vehicles are very dangerous metal machines, too, and if people on meds are too dangerous to own guns, they should be too dangerous to operate high-velocity rolling chunks of metal (cars and trucks) on public roadways, no?
That’s why I say ban all medicated people from operating motor vehicles. Given that there are currently 32,000 deaths each year in America from motor vehicle accidents, we’re talking about saving a thousand times the lives of the children in Sandy Hook!
But why stop there? Electing the wrong President can be just as dangerous as operating a motor vehicle or shooting up a school. The wrong President, you see, can drag a nation into deadly wars, just as we’ve seen with Bush and Obama. So for those people who are too dangerous to own guns, and too dangerous to drive motor vehicles, they should also be declared too dangerous to VOTE.
Voting, obviously, should be conducted only by someone in a clear state of mind, should it not?
And why even stop there? I think we should ban people on psych drugs from becoming members of Congress. After all, Congress is where the most insane people tend to congregate, and probably at least half of them are on mind-altering meds (and brain-numbing cholesterol drugs). No wonder they can’t even read the bills they vote on!
Allowing medicated members of Congress to vote on legislation is a lot like allowing medicated, video-game-playing teenagers to own assault rifles. The outcome is sometimes disastrous…
I’m serious…
This article is only partially satire, by the way. If we’re going to talk about banning things in America, let’s get serious about the altered mental states being caused by psychiatric drugs, and let’s get psych drugs to come with warnings and red flags that preclude people who take those drugs from operating firearms, vehicles or voting booths.
Guns, cars and votes should only be commanded by people of sound mind who are NOT subjected to chemical influences. In society today, we don’t tolerate people drinking and driving. So why do we tolerate people medicating and voting?
And if there’s any effort to ban guns at all, it needs to be concentrated on those medicated individuals who are not of sound mind.

12 Recent stories of self defense with firearms

Often times, I get questions by well meaning people asking me “Do you really think that the average citizen could defend themselves against a armed criminal?”
The answer is yes, every single time.
See, what most people don’t realize is that self defense shootings happen all the time. The problem is that these instances aren’t shown on the national news, or even local news for that matter. Most of the time you will be lucky to read a small postage-sized report in a local newspaper.
So, for the time being, every week I will compile a report and post it here of every self defense shooting I can find in the US.
Jan 4th – Walton County, Georgia – Walton County Home Invasion

A mom and her twin 9-year-old children tried hiding near the attic – but the crook wouldn’t back down.
Police say the crook was armed with a crow bar and the terrified woman inside the home opened fire on the crook, striking him five times.
It all happened around noon Friday at the Henderson Ridge subdivision in Walton County.
Investigators say Paul Lee Slater is in critical condition and in an intensive care unit at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.
Jan 4th – York, PA – Homeowner wrestles for shotgun, shoots at home invader

One of four men arrested in connection with a botched home invasion in Chanceford Township where shots were fired but no one was injured pleaded guilty Friday in York County court to attempted robbery.
Zachary D. Underwood, 18, of Harrisburg, and three others forced their way into a home in the 600 block of Salem Church Road shortly after midnight on July 12 demanding drugs and money, according to police reports.
The occupants wrestled a shotgun away from one of the men and one of the intruders fired four shots into a wall.
Jan 3rd – Cleveland, Ohio – Cleveland homeowner defends self in second home invasion attempt in 2 months.
A man attempting to break into a Cleveland, Ohio home was shot by the homeowner.
It just so happens that the same homeowner shot and killed another burglar at the same Portage Avenue house less than two months earlier.
The first incident happened in late November. The burglar, 43-year-old David Fletcher, was attempting to break into a home owned by a man neighbors call “Mike.” Neighbors say that Mike bought a half a dozen homes on the block to remodel, but trouble soon followed.
Portage Avenue is plagued with abandoned homes.
“Everybody has this problem with people breaking in these abandoned houses,” said neighbor Ben Blair in November.
In the November incident, Feltcher was wielding a knife as he attempted to break into Mike’s home. Feltcher was killed.
Jan 3rd – Akron, Ohio  - Akron meat market shootout
Investigators believe the men entered Hever’s Family Meats, 3307 Cleveland Ave. NW, at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday with their weapons drawn. Davis said they attempted to take money from the cash register and, during the robbery, one of the robbers fired several rounds.
“Fire was immediately returned by an employee. A gun battle ensued inside the store,” Davis said.
At some point, the robbers ran out the front door, jumped into the car and sped away.
Mercy Medical Center video shows one of the men soon after being dropped off at the hospital and the car leaving, Davis said.
Bush was found there with multiple gunshot wounds.
“A short time later, we believe the second suspect checked himself in at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon with at least three gunshot wounds,” Davis said. That man was identified as McLendon.
Jan 3rd – Lubbock, Texas – Homeowner shoots at thieves
Police went to the 100 block of Avenue S around 5:30 a.m. after receiving a “burglary in process” call from the homeowner, said Lubbock Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Jonathan Stewart
Stewart said two men attempted to steal a television from the backyard and fled after the homeowner came out and shot at them.
Stewart said the number of shots fired hadn’t been determined and because the two men had not been located, it was unknown if one of them was hit.
“If there’s reasonable evidence the homeowner shot at the men to protect his home, he will not be convicted of any crime,” Stewart said. “Nothing is pending against the homeowner at this time.”
Jan 2nd – Phoenix, Arizona – Father shoots daughter’s attempted rapist
A man reportedly trying to break into several homes in Phoenix was shot and killed by a homeowner. It happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday near 28th Avenue and Acoma.
Neighbors spotted a white man in his 30s going door to door, apparently trying to break into homes. Witnesses say he attempted to get into at least four homes.
As the man tried to get into one of the houses, the homeowner came out with a gun. When he spotted the suspect trying to break into the bedroom belonging to his daughters, ages 4 and 7, he started yelling.
Jan 2nd – Miami, Florida - Homeowner shoots naked man who was choking his dog
A naked burglar was shot by a Miami homeowner Wednesday morning after he allegedly attempted to choke a pet dog and bite the residents.
Miami police report that the homeowner at a duplex at Northwest 2nd Avenue and 56th street woke up to the sound of dogs barking at 5 a.m.
He then found a naked man choking his pet, according to the arrest report. The nude intruder reportedly turned on the owner, jumping on him while choking and trying to bite him.
Jan 2nd - NEOSHO RAPIDS, Kansas – Homeowner shoots home invader
Lyon County authorities say a homeowner shot and injured one person breaking into an eastern Kansas home and held another suspect at gunpoint until police arrived.
The incident happened Wednesday morning at a home about three miles north of Neosho Rapids.
Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope says the homeowner fired one shot at the suspect, Gary Yowell, 35, who was treated at Newman Regional Health for non-life threatening injuries.
Jan 2nd – Galva, Illinois – Two shot during home invasion
A Galva man says he was defending his home when he shot two intruders and was himself shot twice late Friday night.
Dustin Brock was treated for what he believes was a .410 shotgun wound to his chest and a large caliber bullet wound in his hand that he received while struggling with intruders on his kitchen floor at 417 E. Division St., Galva.
Police received a 911 call around 11 p.m. Friday regarding shots fired. Brock said it all happened very fast. There are bullet holes in his kitchen wall and floor.
Dec 31st – Cleveland, Ohio – Homeowner shoots burglar
A Cleveland homeowner said he shot a burglar Friday morning after the intruder grabbed a lamp and tried to hit him, Cleveland police said.
Police received a call about 8:50 a.m. from the Portage Avenue homeowner, who told police he was holding the suspect at gunpoint, Police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris said.
Morris said the homeowner told officers he shot the suspect after he confronted him, and gunshot wounds were found on the burglar’s cheek and right arm, Morris said.
Dec 29th - MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tennessee – Homeowner stops home invasion
Deputies said they arrested Steven Hicks and his wife, Sharon, for felony aggravated burglary, after homeowner Ryan Sisk spotted the two with Johnathan Beckham and Joe Little ransacking his home.
“This lets me know that there is no security anymore even at your own home and it’s changed me,” said Sisk. “It’s definitely changed us.”
Deputies said the thieves broke in through the back door, emptied the safe that stored 11 loaded guns, and took jewelry. Family members said the burglary has shaken their sense of small town security.
Dec 27th – Harris County, Texas –  Homeowner kills burglary suspect
A burglary suspect died late Thursday morning after deputies said he was shot by a homeowner who was defending his property.
The shooting occurred in northwest Harris County on Place Rebecca Lane just off Kuykendahl Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
Harris County Sgt. Robert Spurgeon said it was around 2 a.m. when the homeowner, 51, heard glass breaking in his condo. He went to investigate and found a man entering through a window.
Dec 25th – Aundrel county, Maryland – Man killed during business robbery
When officers arrived they were met by an employee of the business. The employee advised officers that prior to their arrival an unknown intruder had broken into the business while the employee was there. There was an altercation inside the business and as a result the intruder was shot. The intruder ran out of the business and collapsed. Paramedics were summonsed to the scene, at which time, the intruder was pronounced deceased. The intruder has been identified as Byron Keith Phillip, 30 of Chester, Maryland.

60 School Shootings Linked To Psychiatric Drugs Over Past 20 Years

Prozac
While in the wake to the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre most of the debate has centered around gun control, perhaps more of the debate should be focused on the mood altering drugs that people are being given as more than 60 school shootings among and more than 4,800 violent attacks have been linked to psychiatric drugs. The website SSRI Stories (http://ssristories.com/) tracks violence related to psychiatric drugs.  The site has links to more than 60 school shooting incidents as well as other violent acts over the past 20 years.
This website is a collection of 4,800+ news stories with the full media article available, mainly criminal in nature, that have appeared in the media (newspapers, TV, scientific journals)  or that were part of FDA testimony in either 1991, 2004 or 2006, in which antidepressants are mentioned.
This web site focuses on the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), of which Prozac (fluoxetine) was the first.  Other SSRIs are Zoloft (sertraline), Paxil (paroxetine) (known in the UK as Seroxat), Celexa (citalopam),  Lexapro (escitalopram), and Luvox (fluvoxamine).  Other newer antidepressants included in this list are Remeron (mirtazapine), Anafranil (clomipramine) and the SNRIs Effexor (venlafaxine), Cymbalta (duloxetine) and Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) as well as the dopamine reuptake inhibitor antidepressant Wellbutrin (bupropion) (also marketed as Zyban).
Although SSRI Stories only features cases which have appeared in the media, starting March 2012 there will be a Website:  http://www.rxisk.org/ which will allow personal stories to appear in a different Website from SSRI Stories.  This is the work of Dr. David Healy  http://davidhealy.org/welcome-to-data-based-medicine
By clicking on the links, you will be taken to the story.  Here is a snip from the first link: Hours before he walked into a Northern Illinois University lecture hall and inexplicably started a shooting rampage that ended five lives and his own, Steve Kazmierczak called one of the people he was closest to and said what would be a final goodbye. http://ssristories.com/index.php?sort=info&p=

On December 15, 2010, PLoS Medicine released a study which showed that, in regard to prescription medications and violence, the FDA had received the most reports of violence from the SSRI & SNRI antidepressants (except for Chantix, the smoking cessation drug.)  The study listed Prozac as the number 2 drug for violence, and Paxil as number 3.  http://www.ssristories.com/show.php?item=47014
Antidepressants have been recognized as potential inducers of mania and psychosis since their introduction in the 1950s. Klein and Fink1 described psychosis as an adverse effect of the older tricyclic antidepressant imipramine. Since the introduction of Prozac in December, 1987, there has been a massive increase in the number of people taking antidepressants. Preda and Bowers2 reported that over 200,000 people a year in the U.S. enter a hospital with antidepressant-associated mania and/or psychosis. The subsequent harm from this prescribing can be seen in these 4,800+ stories.
Before the introduction of Prozac in Dec. 1987, less than one percent of the population in the U.S. was diagnosed with bipolar disorder – also known as manic depression. Now, with the widespread prescribing of antidepressants, the percent of the population in the United States that is diagnosed with bipolar disorder (swing from depression to mania or vice versa) has risen to 4.4% . This is almost one out of every 23 people in the U.S.
