Born in 1926, David Charles Haddon Hunt enjoyed the advantages of a godly upbringing and placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in his early teens.
As a young man, he served in the military toward the end of World War II. Afterward, he attended UCLA and received a degree in mathematics. It was during that time that he met the love of his life, Ruth Klassen. In 1950, they were married, and since both loved the outdoors, they enjoyed a beautiful honeymoon hiking in the High Sierras—perfect for two young people madly in love and with very little money to their name. Marriage was soon followed by the birth of two sons and two daughters. Ruth was a busy mother and also a gifted writer herself. She had a tremendous interest in and knowledge of history, a gift that would help Dave further down the road. Dave’s own career path led him into a position as a CPA/management consultant and later as the manager of several corporations.
Along with church-related activities, Dave initiated and became involved in numerous campus ministries and meetings in their home, with a special outreach to Jewish young people and foreign students. Many of these have stayed in touch with Dave and Ruth through the years, fondly recalling their times spent in Bible studies at the Hunts’ house.
Dave and Ruth also traveled abroad, spending time in various locations throughout Europe, meeting with believers there and ministering in many ways while raising their own family. Dave also brought Bibles and other materials into the Soviet Union during a time when it was very difficult to do so. Throughout his later years, he and Ruth traveled extensively as he was invited to speak in churches and fellowships, large and small, all over the world. Often they stayed in people’s homes, dining with them, learning their customs, and sharing God’s Word and God’s love.
The desire of Dave’s heart was ultimately to be involved in fulltime ministry, especially since he saw firsthand everywhere he went the breaking down of the true church as the world began to work its way into her midst. He began to write in 1973, warning believers about the incursion into Western culture and into the church itself of Eastern religion, psychological and selfist philosophies, ecumenism, and other unbiblical teachings.
The ministry of The Berean Call was founded by Dave in 1992. It grew out of a previous organization, of which Dave was also a founding member since 1986. With T.A. McMahon working alongside him at The Berean Call, Dave was able to share his love for and defense of Christ in the subsequent newsletters, books, videos, and speaking engagements that resulted from this ministry. Dave and T.A. wrote three books together, including the best-known The Seduction of Christianity , which was groundbreaking in its boldness, exposing false teachings in the church and daring to identify the names of the ones behind the deception.
By the early 2000s, Dave’s love for Christ and his desire to defend the name of the Lord had grown even stronger, and his concern over Islamic politics and religion are reflected in many of his articles, lectures, books, and interviews.
Then Richard Dawkins and the “new atheists” came onto the scene with a vengeance, seeking to destroy the very concept of God in the minds of everyone. Dave began to write and teach and speak more passionately than ever about the absolute truth that is in the Word of God and our need to immerse ourselves in it daily in order to prevent being taken up in the evolutionist delusion that is sweeping the world.
One of Dave’s favorite activities was to see whom God would seat next to him on airplanes as he traveled and spoke. He often said that he “could prove the existence of God” just by these providential occurrences. While writing about Islam, he would end up seated next to a Muslim who didn’t really understand what Islam was about but was eager to hear the difference between the Bible and the Qur’an. When Dave was writing about creation vs. evolution, the Lord would bring him, as a seat companion, an atheistic scientist who thought he had all the answers and was very surprised that there was another verifiable explanation to this universe.
Dave’s bold yet loving approach to any situation allowed him entrance into these conversations where many others would have been shut out. His love for Jesus, for Israel, and for people in general was obvious to all. His enthusiasm for the truth, along with his anger over the sin and wickedness that he knew was robbing people of what God wanted for them, flamed his desire to share the Lord with anyone with whom he had contact.
At least 4 million copies of his books have been sold, many of them translated into more than 50 languages. They include:  The Cult Explosion; The God Makers (with Ed Decker); The Seduction of Christianity (with T.A. McMahon); Global Peace and the Rise of Antichrist; Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust; The New Spirituality (with T.A. McMahon); Whatever Happened to Heaven?; Occult Invasion; A Woman Rides the Beast; A Cup of Trembling; In Defense of the Faith; An Urgent Call to a Serious Faith ;  To Russia with Love (with Hans Kristian); What Love Is This?; Countdown to the Second Coming; Seeking and Finding God; Honest Doubts; Judgment Day!: Islam, Israel, and the Nations; Yoga and the Body of Christ;  and his final book,  Cosmos, Creator, and Human Destiny.
He also wrote two novels, The Mind Invaders (formerly The Archon Conspiracy ) and Sanctuary of the Chosen, along with a children’s book called The Money Tree , illustrated by his daughter Karen.
This is by no means a complete listing of all of Dave’s works. One of his videos,  Israel, Islam & Armageddon,  has become a tremendous tool for churches and for anyone interested in helping to spread the truth about events prior to and since the attack on the World Trade Center. His video A Woman Rides the Beast is a favorite among those who are witnessing to Catholics, a group for whom Dave had a deep love and sorrow, desiring to see them come to the knowledge of the truth.
Dave Hunt’s own drive to find and then deliver the truth is evident in everything he did. His impeccable research and recognized scholarship were based on in-depth studies of original documents and publications, interviews with key experts from around the world, and extensive travel—including to South America, Australia, Europe, India, and throughout the Middle East.
Dave has left us a legacy of inestimable value. We are blessed to be able to see and hear and read what he has taught about the evidence for God in a breathtaking number of materials. From explaining about the history of Christianity, to exposing the deception that has crept into the church, to teaching about the prophecies that are being fulfilled even today, this humble, brilliant man will go on teaching us for a very long time. We look forward to the day when we will see him again.

A medical school graduate has given a graphic account of working at a Philadelphia abortion clinic and how he routinely saw babies born alive and then killed with scissors
Stephen Massof, 50, of Pittsburgh, was giving evidence at the trial of his former boss Kermit Gosnell on Thursday.
Gosnell, 72, is accused of killing seven live babies at the Philadelphia Women’s Medical Society clinic and a woman who was administered too much anesthesia.

Murder? Steven Massof, a former worker at the Women's Medical Society, testified to seeing live babies killed at a Philadelphia abortion clinic on Thursday

If found guilty he could be given the death penalty. 
Massof, who is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to the murder of two newborns at the clinic, revealed Thursday that he witnessed an abortion at 26 weeks - two weeks beyond the 24-week limit in the state.
He also claimed he saw about 100 babies born alive and then 'snipped' with surgical scissors in the back of the neck, to ensure their 'demise'.

He also spoke of the gruesome scenes at the clinic which was allegedly found dirty and rundown with rusting surgical instruments.
'It would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place. It is literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body,' he told NBC.
He also alleges the clinic's ultrasound machine was manipulated to make fetuses appear smaller and therefore younger.
The graduate explained how his medical degree came from Grenada in the West Indies and he hadn't completed medical residency when he joined Gosnell in 2003.

After two months he was examining women alone.
But he said he believed the intentions of his boss were honest and that the doctor believed he was helping the women, often extremely poor, who came to him
'I believe that Dr. Gosnell was honestly trying to help women and protect them from abuse and neglect,' Massof said.
The trial is in its third week and is expected to last another month.

Eight clinic employees have pleaded guilty to various charges, while a ninth is on trial with Gosnell.

Massof spent five years at the clinic before leaving in 2008 over a dispute with other staffers.

'I felt like a firemen in hell. I couldn't put out all the fires,' he testified.
He was charged with murder three years later, after a 2010 FBI probe of Gosnell's distribution of painkillers spawned a raid at the clinic, and the more serious abortion case.

Prosecutors allege Gosnell took more than $1 million a year at the clinic where women were charged up to $3,000 for an abortion.

Karnamaya Mongar, a 41-year-old refugee who traveled to the clinic from Virginia, died after an overdose of drugs allegedly given to her during a 2009 abortion.


A Grand Jury report said the clinic was crawling with cats and reeking of animal urine and feces.
Furniture and blankets were stained with blood and instruments were not properly sterilized.
Disposable medical supplies were also reused while vital medical equipment such as the defibrillator and EKG machine were 'generally broken'. 
Disturbingly, the report alleged that fetal remains were stuffed into: 'cabinets, in the basement, in a freezer, in jars and bags and plastic jugs'.
Tiny baby feet, it is claimed, were discovered in specimen jars, lined up in a macabre collection.
Gosnell's lawyer denies the murder charge and disputes that any babies were born alive. He also challenges the gestational age of the aborted fetuses, calling them inexact estimates.
The trial continues Monday.

Microsoft has allowed Xbox 720 always-on connection rumors to get out of control

Yesterday afternoon, Microsoft creative director Adam Orth was caught having a discussion on Twitter with another game developer about the rumors that the Xbox 720 would require an always-on internet connection to function. His thought on the matter? Players should simply “deal with it.” Since this has been a hot topic lately, the internet was quickly whipped into a blind rage, failing to realize that Orth was likely satirically arguing with a personal buddy, and that they were joking around. Calm down, internet.
First, a recap. Rumors have been swirling around for a while now that Microsoft’s upcoming console — the Xbox 720 or NextBox depending on how punny you are — would require an always-on internet connection in order for the console to play games. Yes, even if the games have absolutely no online features whatsoever. The speculated reasons for this tactic end up in two schools of thought. One branch assumes that Microsoft wants to deploy an always-on methodology in order to secretly curb the sale of used games, since an always-on connection would make it easy to identify a used game through the use of online authorization. The other branch assumes Microsoft simply wants to have stronger DRM, and always-on DRM is currently the toughest nut to crack.
Microsoft has stayed silent on the issue, most likely allowing rumors and speculation to run rampant across the wilds of the internet, in order to gauge the reaction. Think of it like a secret survey; it’s actually a brilliant strategy. If the backlash is significant, Microsoft can simply announce the Xbox 720 without the rumored always-on connection, and say they never once said anything about the always-on requirement, which would be true. This would save the company much more face than if it announced the requirement itself, then had to retract the requirement due to the resulting backlash. The strategy makes us look like we’re in the wrong since we overreacted to unfounded rumors, and Microsoft in the right since it still hasn’t announced the requirement. Now, however, with Orth’s comments on Twitter reaching every dark corner of the internet, Microsoft might have to step out of the shadows and finally comment on the always-on connection.

Taken at face value and without context, Orth’s comments (seen above) warrant the backlash they have received since yesterday. In a conversation with BioWare game developer Manveer Heir, Orth said he doesn’t “get the drama around having an ‘always-on ‘ console,” and that all devices are now always-on, and people who don’t have access to the internet should “get with the times” and sign up for service. Obviously, these comments not only sound completely ignorant — disregarding the fact that many people either don’t have access to proper internet speeds in their area, or simply can’t afford the monthly cost — but were delivered in an offensive manner. However, not long after the eruption of angry gamers, Heir himself — the recipient of Orth’s seemingly offensive tweets and ignorant stance — said that Orth is actually a good buddy of his, and that they were just joking around. Heir said that Orth was basically just trolling him. Sure, those statements could just be the result of Heir feeling guilty that he got his friend into internet-trouble, but the more likely answer is that Heir’s statements are the truth.
If you could remove your instant anger about always-on DRM then re-read Orth’s comments again, you’d most likely come to the conclusion that it was all satire — very similar to how Stephen Colbert plays a character that disagrees with all of his real-life beliefs. The problem here, though, is that Orth isn’t a paid comedian, and technically, we can’t see inside either Orth’s or Heir’s brain and know for sure whether they were joking around or not.
This was also not the best time for a Microsoft employee to play the villain without any indication that was what he was doing. The fallout from the always-on Sim City fiasco hasn’t even begin to clear, and not too long before that Diablo III experienced a similar controversy. Whether or not Orth was joking, some of his responses to people truly seem like he believes an always-on console is fine, which is a fine opinion to have because he’s allowed to have an opinion. We may not agree with it, but we can show Microsoft how much we disagree with it by not supporting the console when it releases.
While an always-on connection is a hot-button topic, the real issue with Orth’s statements is that people in a high-ranking position at a company relevant to a hot-button topic don’t have enough wiggle room to make jokes about it. Orth’s statements don’t represent Microsoft’s entire ideology, even if Microsoft does release the Xbox 720 with an always-on requirement. Perhaps there’s a shining light to Orth’s seemingly crazy comments, though. His statements and the resulting backlash might make Microsoft think twice about an always-on requirement before they make it official, and we might avoid it altogether after all. Whatever the case may be, the rumors have gone on long enough and created enough negative press. It’d help Microsoft to finally speak up on the matter, rather than staying silent and gauging reactions.

Pivoting toward Asia as China eyes ‘new economic world order’

Is the Obama administration’s military build up in the Pacific part of the president’s so-called pivot-toward-Asia strategy, a move that could demonstrate the biggest shift in world power since World War II?

Specifically, is Washington using the North Korean nuclear standoff as an excuse to shift massive military might to Asia just as China and other powers seek to create a new economic order that would rival the Western-dominated World Bank and International Monetary Fund?

 

It is difficult for most seasoned observers to explain why Obama is suddenly responding to North Korean aggression when the White House did little in 2008 when North Korea refused to allow United Nations inspectors into its nuclear plants.

The Obama administration also took little action when North Korea in 2009 carried out at least two nuclear tests, one of which is believed to have been the cause of a magnitude 4.7 seismic event.

The White House did not allow the U.S. military any significant response when in 2010 North Korea torpedoed a South Korean navy ship, killing 46 sailors. North Korea then shelled a South Korean island with little U.S. reaction.

Now, purportedly in response to aggressive action by North Korea’s new leader, the White House is sending to Singapore a new class of warship designed to fight in coastal waters.

The Pentagon also announced that it will deploy a missile defense system to the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam to strengthen regional protection against a possible attack. This after the Obama administration largely canceled a similar defense system intended for Europe.

U.S. warplanes, including fighter jets, U-2 spy planes and an A-10 attack jet, were seen flying in South Korea yesterday as part of a massive joint military exercise.

The U.S. says it stands “poised to respond” at the border of North and South Korea, where American troops are on high alert amid possible further Pentagon build-up in the region.

U.S. military ‘rebalance’

Why is the U.S. now responding to North Korea?

Time magazine says the “U.S. pivot toward Asia – and the potential for confrontation with China – became a little more real this week with the arrival of a new class of warship designed to fight in coastal waters.”

That pivot has been declared by the Obama administration itself – a professed strategy of putting a greater focus on the Asia region.

Earlier this week, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel “made clear the U.S. and the Department of Defense remain committed to the rebalance towards the Asia-Pacific region,” Pentagon spokesman George Little said after a meeting between Hagel and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Hagel told Loong that “in the future there will be even more opportunities for closer collaboration between the US and Singapore,” Little said.

‘New economic world order’

The U.S. military shift comes as the so-called BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – seek to create a monetary system to rival and even surpass the West.

While it received little U.S. media attention, last week at its fifth annual summit the BRICS group unveiled what it said was a new development bank aimed at breaking the monopoly held by Western-backed institutions.

The bank would use $50 billion of seed capital shared equally between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa but would clearly be dominated by China.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave support for the bank while India’s trade minister said BRICS will “have a defining influence on the global order of this century.”

“It’s done,” said Pravin Gordhan, South African Finance Minister, last Tuesday, adding that “we made very good progress” on the formation of a World Bank-analogue development agency

Iran’s Press TV described the deal this way: “The BRICS bank will present an alternative solution to the Western-dominated global banking system comprised of the Bretton Woods institutions – the World Bank (WB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The new bank will provide a collective foreign exchange reserve and a fund for financing developmental projects in order to address the needs of emerging and poor economies.”

Press TV reported, “BRICS members say the current global balance of power is unworkable, with institutions such as the WB, the IMF and the United Nations Security Council irrelevant in addressing matters concerning global economics.”

Under the deal, the two largest economies of the emerging power groups, China and Brazil, agreed to remove nearly half of their trade exchanges out of the U.S. dollar zone – a significant blow to the U.S. dollar.

Some in the U.S. are skeptical the BRICS moves will actually work.

Joseph S. Nye, a professor at Harvard University, wrote in The Australian newspaper: “Tellingly, the meeting in Durban failed to produce any details of the structure of the proposed new development bank, suggesting that little progress had been made in the year since the BRICS’ last meeting in New Delhi, where the plan was announced.”

Continued Nye: “In fact, despite a commitment to launch “formal negotiations” to establish the bank, disagreements about the size and shares of the bank’s capital have not been resolved.”

The New American took the other side, arguing the BRICS bank is a step closer toward a world government.

“Aside from a planetary fiat currency and central bank, the erection of a true world government was at the heart of BRICS regimes’ machinations outlined in their final agreement.”

The publication pointed out the BRICS declaration at the end of last week’s summit included, “We reiterate our strong commitment to the United Nations (UN) as the foremost multilateral forum entrusted with bringing about hope, peace, order and sustainable development to the world.”

The BRICS statement added, “[W]e reaffirmed our commitment to the promotion of international law, multilateralism and the central role of the United Nations.”

BRICS clearly sees a reshaped economic world in which government-run companies play a significant role.

“We acknowledge the important role that State Owned Companies (SOCs) play in the economy and encourage our SOCs to explore ways of cooperation, exchange of information and best practices,” the declaration states.

“As the global economy is being reshaped, we are committed to exploring new models and approaches towards more equitable development and inclusive global growth.”

N. Korea Expels All Foreigners Ahead Of Launching Missile Strike

Today the British Foreign Office confirmed it had been told its staff were at risk while Russia said it was in ‘close contact with the U.S, China and South Korea’ about airlifting workers out. Advice for tourists is set to change after North Korea moved a second missile to its east coast, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.

About two dozen countries have embassies in North Korea – the U.S. doesn’t currently have diplomatic relations with North Korea and the State Department told MailOnline it doesn’t have a figure on the number of Americans who may be in the country.
U.S. citizens in the country are likely to include adventure seeking tourists and some defectors and prisoners who remained following the end of the Korean War in the 1950s. Sweden acts as the protecting power of U.S. interests in North Korea for consular matters.
The range of the missile is unknown – yesterday the rogue state moved a missile with a range of 3,000km (1,800m) to the same area which is within firing distance of Japan – and claimed it would be ‘merciless’ against its enemies.

Both missiles have been loaded on to mobile launchers and hidden in special underground facilities, according to a government official. ‘The North is apparently intent on firing the missiles without prior warning,’ he added.

It comes a day after David Cameron made the extraordinary claim yesterday that North Korea could attack Britain and that he knows Communist dictator Kim Jong-un has access to missiles that can hit the UK.

Today South Korea deployed two warships with missile-defence systems, reports say, a day after the North apparently moved a missile to its east coast. Military officials said the two warships would be deployed on the east and west coasts.
Russia’s foreign minister says Moscow doesn’t understand why North Korea has suggested that Moscow and other countries close their embassies in Pyongyang, and he says he’s concerned about the high tensions on the Korean peninsula.
Minister Sergey Lavrov was quoted Friday during a visit to Uzbekistan as saying that Russia is in touch with China, the United States, Japan and South Korea – all members of a dormant talks process with North Korea – to try to figure out the motivation.
‘We are very perturbed about the supercharged tensions, which for now are verbal. We want to understand the causes of this proposal,’ Lavrov said, according to the Russian state news agency RIA-Novosti. source – Daily Mail UK

When I heard that North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un was threatening to nuke Washington, DC, and “engulf the nation’s capital in a sea of flames,” my first thought was: “At last, a politician with a plan that could actually solve our nation’s most pressing problems.”

The thought of Inside-the-Beltway Washington going up in flames brought joy to my heart. The politicians – incinerated! The lobbyists – carbonized! The Supreme Court – cremated! The Pentagon – a five-sided crème brûlée! AIPAC – reduced to cinders that would fit in a Volkswagen’s ashtray!
No more nightmares about an aerial army of drones swooping down on us like the wicked witch’s winged monkeys. No more concerns that my friends, neighbors, or family might end up on the “kill list” of Obama’s death panels. No more visions of Washington’s political monkeys rounding us up and sending us to Haliburton detention camps. No more uneasiness about DHS’s order for billions of hollow-point bullets. No more false flag attacks, and no more pompous political posers lying us into idiotic wars.
After all, they’ve burned the Constitution. So there is no longer any reason not to burn Washington, DC.
At this point, it’s either them or us.
If Washington were gone, erased from the face of the earth, the planet would be infinitely better for it. There would be nobody left to trash our economy and steal our money and use it to bully folks on the far side of the world who would rather be minding their own damn business…folks like Kim Jong-un, who apparently is fed up, and rightfully so, with Washington thinking it’s in charge of every distant corner of the earth.
To hell with Washington, DC. The sooner they nuke it, the better, as far as I’m concerned.
But I’m a thoughtful, reasonable guy. I try to look at both sides of every issue. So I thought to myself, “Wait a minute…suppose there’s something I’m missing.” I sat down with a pencil and paper and decided to make a list of all the reasons NOT to nuke Washington, DC.
Fourteen hours later, I had come up with five good reasons.
So I decided to write an open letter to Kim Jong-un, just in case he hadn’t yet considered all the pros and cons.

I understand that threatening to nuke Washington, DC is a good political move in North Korea. Have you considered that it might also be a good political move here in America?

Since you’re obviously an ambitious guy – not every leader of an economic-basket-case country of 25 million people runs around threatening to nuke DC – I think you ought to consider ditching your current job and running for President of the USA on a “Nuke Washington” platform.
The polls show that the American people HATE Washington, DC. Congress’s “favorable” rating has been running at the edge of the single digits for years. The rest of DC isn’t doing much better.
If you came here and promised to nuke Washington, you wouldn’t just be elected in a landslide. You’d be anointed Supreme Leader here too, by popular acclaim.
There are, however, compelling reasons not to nuke Washington, DC. After spending all day and most of the night trying to think of some, I came up with the following list:
1) There are quite a few dogs, cats, rats, cockroaches, trees, shrubs, and other innocent animals and plants that live there.
2) If Washington were scrubbed from the face of the earth, Americans would no longer have a focus for their hatred, and the nation would become disunited and fractious.
3) Ditto for the world.
4) If you give the orders to “nuke Washington,” your missile might accidentally be delivered to Washington state, which has really beautiful mountains and rivers and stuff.
5) If Washington DC gets nuked, and all its freemasonic symbols are obliterated, the damn freemasons will just move their world capital to Jerusalem, bulldoze the al-Aqsa mosque, put up a temple for sacrificing red heifers, and rebuild DuPont Circle, the Washington’s Dick Monument, Congress, the White House, AIPAC, the whole nine yards…so the whole thing will turn out to have been pointless.
Then again, what difference does it make if they move America’s capital to Israel – the whole place has been owned by the Israelis for years anyway.
So, on balance, I would urge you to refrain from nuking Washington DC until you have considered all your options – including a possible run for Supreme Leader of the USA.

After spending 3 years in a government cage for refusing to have his money stolen by the government, actor Wesley Snipes is now somewhat free.  Unfortunately, he is still under constant supervision and the government continues to treat him like a criminal, simply because he refused to be criminalized.
CNN reported:
“Actor Wesley Snipes has been released from a federal prison where he was serving a three-year sentence after being convicted on tax charges in February 2010.The release to a supervised residential location in New York occurred Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons told CNN.
Snipes, 50, who starred in the “Blade” action movies and “White Men Can’t Jump,” had been serving time at a federal prison in Pennsylvania. A jury convicted him of willfully failing to file tax returns for 1999, 2000 and 2001. Snipes was acquitted of felony tax fraud and conspiracy charges.  In June 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of his sentence, which he had argued was too harsh for a misdemeanor conviction.”
Some people would point out that Wesley Snipes had plenty of money, and that he could have easily handed over his extortion fee and still be able to eat.  However, if a wealthy man was walking down the street and was attacked by a mugger, would people still carry that same perception?  Would everyone condemn this person for attempting to stand up against his mugger?  Because Wesley Snipes, and every other person who is forced to fill out a tax form, is by principle a victim of theft.
Thanks to a lifetime of propaganda, people will argue relentlessly that taxation is not an act of violence, they will deny that it perpetuates a complicated form of slavery, and many times get deeply offended when you point out the fact that it is theft.
Yet, peaceful people are taken against their will and thrown in cages every day for not paying taxes. If this action was not carried by the state, everyone would recognize it as a violent kidnapping.  Whats worse is the fact that if any of these people made any attempts to defend themselves on their own property as they would against any other intruder, they would have been killed and treated as if they were the aggressor.
As we reported a few months ago, this year in Italy alone around 12,000 people had armed government workers trespass on their property, take them against their will and lock them up in a cage.
As far as Wesley Snipes is concerned, he should have a warm welcoming back on the outside, and be greeted as a hero.

Soon, Congress will begin drafting legislation reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which serves as the legal framework for domestic espionage against external threats. And while FISA doesn’t affect spy activities overseas, the attention it generates will shift scrutiny to the National Security Agency and its growing and astonishing capabilities. The NSA, the intelligence arm of the United States responsible for eavesdropping and code breaking, weathered criticism and high-profile legal challenges in 2005 for its warrantless wiretapping program, and now we have a decent idea of the sophisticated and controversial methods the NSA employs to penetrate global telecommunications networks. Still in the shadows, however, is a secretive joint program with the Central Intelligence Agency codenamed F6, but better known as the Special Collection Service.
The men and women of the Special Collection Service are responsible for placing super-high-tech bugs in unbelievably hard-to-reach places. Data collected is then transmitted to the National Security Agency for decryption and analysis. John Pike of the Federation of American Scientists put it best: “When you think of NSA, you think satellites. When you think CIA, you think James Bond and microfilm. But you don’t really think of an agency whose sole purpose is to get up real close and use the best technology there is to listen and transmit. That’s SCS.”

Officially, the Special Collection Service doesn’t exist, and isn’t headquartered in a guarded complex on a densely forested 300-acre lot outside of Beltsville, Md. But according to journalist James Bamford, the organization was founded in 1978 to bridge the NSA’s ability to infiltrate foreign networks and the CIA’s ability to penetrate foreign countries. (Its leadership alternates between the director of the NSA and the director of the CIA.) At the Beltsville facility, special tactics for tradecraft are devised, and a kind of mad scientist’s laboratory develops new technologies for use in the field.
The Special Collection Service is everywhere. In 1999, teams known as Special Collection Elements infiltrated Afghanistan to monitor al Qaeda training camps near Khost. That same year, they tapped Pakistan’s communications grid to listen for traffic on its nuclear arsenal. After the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, General Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency, sent Special Collection Elements to supplement the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command in Balad. (The director personally spoke with General Stanley McChrystal, then-commander of JSOC, by secure video teleconference at least once a week.)
But long before al Qaeda pinged U.S. radars, the Special Collection Service was invading communications networks of friend and foe alike, performing what journalist Bob Woodward described as “espionage miracles, delivering verbatim transcripts from high-level foreign-government meetings in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.” As far back as the 1980s, Special Collections Elements were using a technique whereby invisible lasers are pointed at windows from safe houses hundreds of feet away. Conversations are then deciphered and recorded by measuring only the vibrations in the glass of the target windowpane.
How exactly do these missions go down? Based on what we know, they look something like this: Special Collection Elements made up of two to five people rotate into U.S. embassies around the world, working undercover as Foreign Service officers or members of the Diplomatic Telecommunications Service. When State Department cover is impossible, the agents enter countries under the guise of businesspeople. Some U.S. embassies are known to house dedicated facilities for Special Collection Elements to use as bases of operations. In other situations, and when circumstances dictate, they work surreptitiously, assembling elaborate listening devices from discrete, seemingly everyday components. (Bamford reports one item previously used: An umbrella that expands into a parabolic antenna.)
Once deployed, Special Collection Elements put technology developed in Beltsville into practice. One such known system is ORATORY, first used extensively during the Gulf War, and likely still operational in some variation. After locating mission objectives, Special Collection Elements place antennas in nondescript locations and ORATORY goes “up” on the target. The device is given key words to listen for, and when those topics come up by phone or in person, the system captures the conversations for analysis.
The Special Collection Service also completes so-called “black bag jobs.” Intercepts are often encrypted, and it takes time to decipher, translate, and identify useful information. So sometimes, it’s easier to simply break into a building and install a hidden microphone, whereupon intelligence can be gathered and voices recorded before encryption ever takes place. Sensitive listening devices can be dropped into computer keyboards, recording the unique clicks of each key for use in reconstructing everything typed. When a lock pick is too risky, however, locals are sometimes bribed to do the dirty work. Agents might be tasked with something as small as planting a bug, or as large as compromising a nation’s entire information infrastructure.
The utility of the Special Collection Service is self-evident. While the raw computing power found at National Security Agency headquarters seems limitless, signals intelligence has always been a cat-and-mouse game. Every time the United States finds a way into foreign networks, or deciphers some elaborate encryption, foreign powers find a way to shut us out again. It’s been that way since the NSA’s precursor, the Armed Forces Security Agency, operated out of the Arlington Hall Junior College for Women. Having someone on the ground, and eyes (and ears) on a target effectively bypasses most technological shielding.
In the coming months, as FISA is reconsidered and pointed questions are rightfully asked of the National Security Agency — about what its quantum computers can and cannot do, and what its massive data centers do and do not store — it’s worth remembering that signals intelligence is not collected entirely from a Panopticon in Maryland. Don’t forget the daring, intimate work of the Special Collection Service, and the men and women secretly in the field around the world.

Defaming coconut oil saturated fat was part of the 1950s creation of low and no fat foods, margarine, and hydrogenated trans-fatty cooking and salad oils, which have recently been proven as actually detrimental to overall health.

The different types of triglycerides in fats

High triglyceride blood readings are red flags for obesity, diabetes, and heart health issues. Most dietary fats contain long chain triglycerides (LCT), which are not easily metabolized and can be stored as fatty deposits in one's body.

Long chain triglycerides contain chains with 14 to 18 carbon atoms. But coconut oil contains medium chain triglycerides (MCT) with shorter chains of 5 to 12 carbon atoms, which are easily metabolized by the liver to produce ketone bodies that can replace glucose as metabolic fuel.

As we age, the brain's ability to metabolize glucose for energy wanes, especially for those who have a metabolic disorder or insulin resistance. But MCT-created ketones can be used as cellular fuel in the brain when glucose is not available.

Study: Coconut oil improves cognitive ability

As far back as 2004, a study published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging determined that coconut oil MCTs improved cognitive function among older folks with memory problems and even Alzheimer's disease.

They took 20 subjects and randomly fed them coconut oil or placebos on different days. Some of the Alzheimer's group demonstrated improved scoring on a special Alzheimer's cognitive rating scale, and all of them demonstrated better paragraph recall shortly after taking each dose of coconut oil.

This wasn't a long term study. They got immediate positive cognitive and memory results from single doses of coconut oil compared to placebos.

So why wasn't this publicized by the mainstream media (MSM) and reported to medical practitioners everywhere? Maybe because Big Pharma was trying to synthesize and patent a ketone body producing pharmaceutical for the increasing Alzheimer's disease market.

Is Fukushima Leaking … Or Are the the Reactors Wholly Uncontained?

You may have heard that Tepco – the operator of the stricken Fukushima nuclear power plants – announced a large leak of radioactive water.
You may have heard that the cooling system in the spent fuel pools at Fukushima has failed for a second time in a month.
This is newsworthy stuff … but completely misses the big picture.
Japanese experts say that Fukushima is currently releasing up to 93 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium into the ocean each day.
How much radiation is this?
A quick calculation shows that it is about ten thousand times less than the amounts released by Chernobyl during the actual fire at the Russian nuclear plant.   But the Chernobyl fire only last 10 days … and the Fukushima release has been ongoing for more than 2 years so far.
Indeed, Fukushima has already spewed much more radioactive cesium and iodine than Chernobyl. The amount of radioactive cesium released by Fukushima was some 20-30 times higher than initially admitted.
Fukushima also pumped out huge amounts of radioactive iodine 129 – which has a half-life of 15.7 million years. Fukushima has also dumped up to 900 trillion becquerels of radioactive strontium-90 – which is a powerful internal emitter which mimics calcium and collects in our bones – into the ocean.
And the amount of radioactive fuel at Fukushima dwarfs Chernobyl … and so could keep leaking for decades, centuries or millenia.
Tepco graphics of the Fukushima plants even appear to show water directly flowing from the plant to the ocean.  See this and this.
The bottom line is that the reactors have lost containment.  There are not “some leaks” at Fukushima.  “Leaks” imply that the reactor cores are safely in their containment buildings, and there is a small hole or two which need to be plugged.   But scientists don’t even know where the cores of the reactors are.   That’s not leaking. That’s even worse than a total meltdown.
So what are the consequences for people living outside of Fukushima itself?
They could be quite severe, indeed.

We Don’t Need Obama’s Birth Certificate

I have no use for Barack Obama. I don’t need a President with a history of drug abuse who puts the dreams of his father above the interests of the United States. Obama’s presidency is like a giant sinkhole, swallowing up everything we ever valued as Americans.

It’s almost an insult to our intelligence, to ask us to believe that Obama is a US citizen. He has a schizophrenic timeline of unexplained foreign travel, a list of aliases, and uncomfortable friendships with communists and hostile governments.

We can drop this debate over his birth certificate because we have something even more valuable. We have his mother’s passport files.

When Obama was young, children traveled as an addition to their parents’ passports.

Passport regulations required a photo of parent and child together, as well as a certified copy of a hospital birth certificate. State-issued IDs came much later.

If Obama was born in the United States, as everybody says, then there should be a photo of little Barack Obama with his mother, as well as a certified copy of his Hawaiian birth certificate in her file.

Surprise. There are no photos of little Barack Obama in the file. And of course, there is no birth certificate from any hospital in Hawaii.

I know the passport laws for children. Obama’s mother and I would be approximately the same age if she survived. I filled out the very same passport applications for my own daughter, three years after Obama’s mother took him to Jakarta. The laws were the same for both of us.

My daughter was born in an Army hospital in Japan in 1971, when my husband was in the Navy. I added her to my passport so I could bring her back to the United States.

I remember it like it was yesterday because my ex-husband complained about how complicated it was. We had to go to the hospital and get a certified copy of her birth certificate, re-take my passport photo with my daughter, crop it until it fit the requirements, and then go all the way to the US Consulate in Tokyo and stand in line. If there was anything the man hated, it was anything that cost him money or inconvenienced him.

I carried a joint passport for myself and my daughter through US Customs and Immigration in Hawaii. I can tell you from experience that if Obama’s mother tried to take her son through US Customs and Immigration in Hawaii without a joint passport for herself and her son, she would have been stopped.

The obvious question is, who took him through US Customs and Immigration and helped him board the plane in Hawaii? And who brought him back?

The only mention of little Barack Obama is when his mother tried to renew her passport at the US Consulate in Jakarta a few years later. We see evidence of that in the file.

She tried to trick the passport office. She went to the US Consulate in Jakarta and wrote ...

FLASHBACK:  Department of State destroyed Obama's mama's pre-1965 passport records.

Chris Strunk and Ken Allen were the first to obtain the Stanley Ann Dunham and Lolo Soetoro passport records received under the Freedom of Information Act. It was those records that showed Obama's Indonesian surname "Soebarkah" and led to the discovery that the Department of State destroyed Obama's mama's pre-1965 passport records.
