The DNR squad armed to the teeth with automatic weapons, body armor, and other SWAT-styled equipment, raided the Society of St. Francis because the department had been tipped off that the shelter had a baby deer it was nursing back to health.

The SWAT team even had ariel photos of the shelter showing that the DNR had used airborne assets to “investigate” the shelter.
As it happens, it is illegal to hold wild animals in Wisconsin, so the animal cop department thought it had the right to mount a violent, SWAT-like attack on the animal shelter. It would be funny if it weren’t so scary for our rights.
Shelter workers readily admitted that they had the deer and pointed out that it was about ready to be handed over to an animal preserve in Illinois.

But the police grabbed up the fawn that the shelter owners named “giggles,” and then went and euthanized it.
So, let’s review: A well meaning animal shelter had an injured deer that it was nursing back to health. But the Wisconsin animal police found out and decided it was a breach of the law. So, instead of just going to the shelter, knocking on the door and asking for the deer to be turned over and then going on about their day, they spent weeks with aerial surveillance, then broke out the SWAT team body armor and machine guns and conducted a raid on the shelter.
Over kill, much?

What we have here is a government agency given the right to walk around armed to the teeth spending thousands of state tax dollars on a weeks-long “investigation,” using over-the-top machine guns and SWAT team-styled, military equipment, conducting overhead spy flights with expensive planes, and all this when all they had to do was knock on the shelter’s door and ask for the deer.
Recently we discussed the militarization of our police and this is a perfect example of the illicit use of tax dollars for unnecessary police actions.

This will happen more and more as these podunk police departments start getting their war-supplies and then start looking for illegitimate ways to use those war-supplies. It is just another way that our “rules” are separating themselves from us and putting themselves in a class above us mere lowly citizens. This was leads to tyranny and violence, maybe even revolution.
