TWO RUSSIANS PLAN TO BUILD TESLA WIRELESS TRANSMISSION STATION

Mr. J.Q., a regular reader here, sent me the following article while I was away at the conference, and this one is definitely a story to watch, for according to the article, two Russians, Mr. Leonid Plekhanov and Mr. Sergey Plekhanov, both graduates of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, are planning to use crowd funding to finance the construction of a (presumably smaller) version of Nikola Tesla’s famous Wardenclyffe wireless electrical power transmitter:
Russian Scientists Plan to Rebuild Tesla’s Wireless Electricity Tower
Most readers here are probably familiar with the story about Tesla’s Wardenclyffe project, and how allegedly J.P. Morgan “pulled the plug” on the project once he learned what it was really about. According to one somewhat apocryphal version of the story, Morgan was concerned that the project “could not be metered” and hence he stood to lose not only money but power, and hence stopped his funding of Tesla’s vision. But as I’ve pointed out in various interviews, I’ve long suspected this story is somewhat “too convenient” as an explanation. After all, Morgan stood to gain a fortune from the royalty and licensing agreements on the project just from its possible use in appliances using Tesla’s system. The real concern, as I averred in Babylon’s Banksters, was that the system could potentially be weaponized, an implication that Tesla himself hinted at in various articles he composed at the same approximate time as his disputes with Morgan. But the idea itself, as MIT recently demonstrated, is not impossible, as they recently performed such an experiment on a small scale successfully.
So what are we to make of the announcement of the two Plekhanovs? One might expect that such a system would be as much of a challenge to the Russian energy oligarchy as it was to the Western one in Morgan’s time, and that some effort might be made to stop it. One suspects this is the reason for their reliance upon crowd funding.
The announcement, however, comes at a time that wider geopolitical interests are at stake, and at a time that Russian leaders and scientists are making strange statements. Consider only Dmitri Medvedev’s statement a month before Chelyabinsk that Russia should cooperate in the construction of a planetary asteroid defense system(shades of the Von Braun-Rosin affidavit!). Then there was the strange USS Donald Cook incident, where a Russian Sukhoi fighter bomber demonstrated a jamming capability of the USA’s most sophisticated naval radar-missile defense system. To top all this off, Dr. Evgeny Podkletnov, whose work in the anti-gravity properties of super-conductors is fairly well-known, made assertions that the Russians were experimenting with an “anti-gravity pulse beam” which could “disintegrate” objects at a distance of a kilometer, with an alleged range of the beam being 200km.
But we need to ask ourselves an important question: why would MIT perform a “proof-of-concept” experiment in the wireless transmission of power now, demonstrating a concept and a basic technology that was suppressed over a century ago? And why would two Russians openly announce their intentions to do so, and to fund it with crowd financing? One answer looms: today, the mechanism of global surveillance is in place, a capability that could, conceivably, serve to monitor any attempt to weaponize such a technology and cut it off before it could be accomplished. The monitoring infrastructure exists now, as it did not then, and hence, such a technology might be considered to be more acceptable. Additionally, such a step might be heralding a change in the global financial system, as the old one is slowly being torn down, and a new one erected. And the BRICSA nations have made it very clear that they intend to challenge the US dollar’s reserve currency status.
In such a context, the announcement of the Plekhanovs might be serving open notice that Russia intends to change the game in a rather dramatic fashion, for such a power system, if it could be made to work, would challenge the reigning petro-dollar paradigm, and that, of course, is now openly admitted to be a strategic goal of the BRICSA nations. The bottom line here folks is this this is, on its own, a “small” story, but in the wider context, and over the long term, it’s one to watch carefully…
…that is, if Russia is obliging, and lets the world know how it progresses.

Genetically Modified Mosquitoes: Experiment Blows Up, Causes Dengue Emergency

Editor’s Note: Is it a coincidence that this is happening in Brazil? Maybe, however… Remember, there are currently tens of thousands of extra tourists, representing dozens of countries, in Brazil for the World Cup festivities. Just something to think about. Dengue fever is potentially fatal if not detected early and treated properly. Whether this was intentional or not does not really matter. It’s just another example of genetically modified organisms doing more harm than good. -Dean Garrison

Civil society groups today expressed alarm at an increase in dengue incidence, leading to an emergency decree, in a town in Brazil where releases of genetically modified (GM) mosquitoes are taking place.

The promise was to create genetically modified mosquitoes that would end dengue, but results from field trials conducted in Bahia, Brazil have not been published to date and did not evaluate the relation between Aedes aegypti mosquito populations and the occurrence of dengue [1]. Nevertheless, the Brazilian regulator Comissão Técnica Nacional de Biossegurança (CTNBio) recently gave the green light to the commercialization of the technology proposed by Moscamed Brazil in partnership with the English company Oxitec and the Universidade de São Paulo.
The Brazilian press had welcomed the new weapon to combat dengue but missed the information that Jacobina’s mayor, a locality where the trials took place, issued a decree in February 2014 renewing the state of emergency “due to the abnormal situation characterized as a biological disaster of dengue epidemic.” [2]. Before that, Moscamed had announced 81% and 100% reduction in the number of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in at least two localities of Jacobina, claiming that this meant the experiments were a success [3]. According to Oxitec, pilot-scale releases started in the north-west of Jacobina in June 2013 and the programme will roll out across the entire city over two or three years [4].
During the evaluation of the commercial application for the release of the GM mosquito, a CTNBio member had presented a report with information questioning the impact of the GM mosquitoes on the incidence of dengue and warning that in some circumstances the releases could make the disease worse, even if the number of wild Aedes aegypti mosquitoes was reduced. The concerns raised did not convince the majority of the Commission. The Brazilian National Agency of Sanitary Vigilance (ANVISA) is now in charge of registering and monitoring the product, which according to the company’s recommendation implies weekly releases of 10 million GM mosquitoes for every 50 thousand inhabitants. Meanwhile, the date of publication of the promised results remains unclear.
Brazilian and international civil society organisations, including AS-PTA, Third World Network, RALLT (Network for a GM Free Latin America) and GeneWatch UK, today called on ANVISA to require Oxitec to publish the results of its experiments in a scientific journal and to cease further experiments and the commercial use of this technology until it has assessed the effects on the incidence of dengue and put an effective monitoring programme for the disease in place.
“CTNBio should review its decision to approve commercialization in light of the reality seen in Jacobina and ask for further serious studies on the full implications of releasing the GM mosquito over the local population” said Gabriel Fernandes, from AS-PTA, Brazil.
“Oxitec is knocking on the doors of many countries, promoting its GM mosquitoes as being able to address the serious threat of dengue. Yet, with no concrete proof that this technology is able to reduce dengue incidence, any approval of the GM mosquitoes would be grossly premature,” said Lim Li Ching, Senior Researcher at Third World Network.
“It is extraordinary that experiments with Oxitec’s GM mosquitoes continue and commercial releases have even been approved without any monitoring of the effect on dengue”, said Dr Helen Wallace, Director of GeneWatch UK “The declaration of a dengue emergency in Jacobina should be a wake-up call for the authorities”.

UN Demands US Recognize Illegal Invaders as Refugees

United Nations in GenevaEvery day the Congress, monopolized by Democratic Senator Harry Reid, and the Obama administration, who orchestrated our invasion, delay action on illegal invaders is another day that our nation is over-run with invaders carrying highly contagious diseases, possibly tied with terrorist organizationslinked to drug cartel and other criminal organizations participating in human trafficking, and being supported by American taxpayers who are being stretched to the breaking point. This administration’s domestic policies are bringing America to the brink of, if not pushing it toward, collapse. Americans all over the nation, including those who have immigrated legally to this nation, are calling on the government, the very government who contrived this crisis, to close the border and address the issue of illegal aliens in our nation. And, Americans are not calling for amnesty.
While Obama is requesting $2 billion dollars to “address” the problem, some Democratic members of Congress call this an “opportunity,” believing America should open her arms to invaders. Border patrol agents are overwhelmed and some reports indicate that a few federal immigration agents were using law enforcement databases to warn drug smugglers. The United Nations (UN) is now putting its two cents worth into the mix by calling on the United States to declare these illegal invaders as “refugees being displaced by armed conflict.” This is nothing more that to place pressure on the US to accept these invaders, egged on by the Obama administration, that are ineligible for asylum.
Now, one must wonder what “armed conflict” is occurring in the Central American countries that would qualify these people to be considered “refugees.” Traditionally, refugees were those individuals fleeing what the international community considered “traditional political or ethnic conflicts” such as is seen in the Middle East. However, the UN is suggesting that these invaders be considered “refugees” because they are “fleeing” violence and extortion committed by criminal gangs in their own country. It appears the UN is declaring corrupt, ineffective governments and countries where authorities allow criminal gangs to perpetrate horrendous acts against the population as reasons to flee.
Next, one must wonder why these so-called “refugees” would not stop in Mexico if they were just “fleeing violence and extortion at the hands of criminal gangs” instead of the very long treacherous journey to the United States. Then, one must also ask why reports surface that these illegal invaders were told to come to the United States. In fact, reports indicate that news agencies in these Central American countries were telling their citizens to come to the US as no one would be deported.
Refugees, my Aunt Fanny!
Not surprisingly, the UN would like to see a “regional agreement” on the status of these invaders as “refugees” at Thursday’s meeting in Nicaragua between migration and interior department representatives from the US, Mexico and Central America.
According to CNSnews.com:
Violence by criminal organizations spread in recent decades after members of California street gangs were deported to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, where they overwhelmed weak and corrupt police forces and seized control of large sections of the country.
That one sentence almost makes it sound as though the US were responsible for these people leaving since deporting criminal illegal aliens back to their country of origin.
Not only is America under attack by illegal alien invasion, she is now being attacked by the international community for her immigration laws, led by the United Nations and helped along by the Obama administration.
For decades, it has been no secret that Central American countries, along with parts of Mexico, are governed by corrupt administrations who are frequently in bed with the drug gangs. Drug trafficking, along with a host of other criminal gang activity to include human trafficking, is big money business that keeps many of these government’s politicians in power living an extravagant lifestyle at the expense of the general population. While the Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez claims his people are being “displaced by war,” one must question what the president of Honduras is doing to stop the so-called “war” or whether he is the instigator of lawlessness in his own nation. The same goes for Guatemala and El Salvador.
Of course, many individuals know that Honduras is not at war, in the traditional definition of the word. Unfortunately, politicians have over used the word “war” to indicate activities or statuses that many have opposition toward, such as the “war on drugs,” “war on poverty,” and the “war on illiteracy” to name a few. It is a conditioning of the public to accept “war” as commonplace, trivial and applicable to everything one opposes and would like to eradicate instead of the greater conflict that arises between nations and states for the establishment of superiority or conquering another nation for territory.
These Central American countries are not at “war;” therefore, these people are not “refugees.” Regardless of what the UN or the head of these lawless Central American countries try to push, these illegal aliens are NOT refugees; they are invaders of our nation, supported by some members of the international community and our own administration in order to bring about the downfall of America.
There are many articles written on the “New World Order” and the “One World Government” theories. One underlying commonality in all these theories is the fact that the United States must fall in order to herald in the NWO. Since the United States is the symbol of freedom, the upholding of individual God-given rights, the torch of liberty and equity under the law, this nation and it’s people must be destroyed in order to herald in this “world unity.”
What better way to crush this nation than to economically collapse it through the influx of contagious disease carrying illegal alien invaders who will flood the government handout system. Once America falls, other nations who value similar freedoms will almost willingly submit as those nations will not have the “force” to resist.
Obama, his administration and some members of Congress have termed the invasion along our southern border as a “humanitarian crisis.” This was prior to the UN wanting to term these invaders as “refugees;” however, this misnomer opened the door for the UN to attempt to “throw its weight” around in attempting to re-define an invasion as an “influx of refugees.” The international community looks favorably more on “refugees” than invaders. Turning away “refugees” is inhumane while turning away invaders or repelling invasion is expected of sovereign nations. By redefining these illegals as “refugees,” it solidifies this as a “humanitarian crisis” and will produce enmity against the United States and her people should the people themselves rise up to repel this invasion. And, that is exactly what it is – an invasion.
Why is the United Nations not calling on these Central American countries to “clean up” their nation, protect their citizens from criminals and harm, and promote human rights? Everyone has their own answer to that question. The UN would rather promote the downfall of the US, biting the hand that feeds it, than actually promote its mission.
Somewhere along the way, sovereign governments have given way too much credence to the ramblings of the United Nations, whose mission is to promote international cooperation, maintain international peace and security, promote social progress, better living standards, human rights and stem another world conflict such as was seen with World War II. This organization is controlled by member nations whose violations against humanity are unprecedented and the corruption in their own nations unparalleled, even when comparing those governments to the Obama administration.
Before long, Obama, his administration and members of Congress will begin to refer to these invaders as “refugees.” They will take up the flag of surrender handed to them by the UN, thereby pushing America further toward its demise. The UN is one organization that needs to be kicked out of America, defunded by America and membership of America canceled since the organization is worthless and the money used to support it might as well be burned.

Coming to America: Mercenary Justice

blackwater-mercenary-justice-america
There is as yet no legal barrier to wholesale deployment of mercenary soldiers to U.S. cities. Such forces occupied New Orleans in 2005, two years before Blackwater troops massacred Iraqi civilians in Baghdad’s Nisoor Square. Could Times Square be next?
The trial of four Blackwater mercenaries in the unprovoked massacre of Iraqi civilians in 2007 is probably not the biggest news item of the day for Iraqis, faced as they are with a national crisis of potentially apocalyptic dimensions. However, the events unfolding in a Washington DC federal court should be of critical interest to Americans, who will one day find themselves under the guns of mercenaries licensed to kill with impunity. In fact, it has already happened, in New Orleans, after Katrina.
Two years before the atrocity in Baghdad, Blackwater descended on New Orleans in force in the wake of the 2005 hurricane, setting up a downtown headquarters and deploying its troops in full battle gear, armed just “as they would be in Iraq.” Jeremy Scahill, reporting at the time for The Nation magazine, said Blackwater troops told him that in addition to having been authorized to use lethal force, they were also empowered to arrest citizens. Many of them had flown in straight from Iraq to occupy a great Black American city.
At least five mercenary companies patrolled New Orleans under contract with Homeland Security, including an outfit of Israeli ex-special forces troops under a company named Instinctive Shooting International. Civil liberties activists warned at the time that placing an American city under mercenary occupation is illegal, but neither President Bush nor Barack Obama nor the Congress or the courts have clarified the question of mercenary deployment. Therefore, it is all but inevitable that legions of hired killers and “instinctive shooters” from around the world will again be sent to U.S. cities, with consequences that will rival the carnage at Nisoor Square, in Baghdad.
The Long Mercenary Legacy
Mercenaries have a long history in the United States. The granddaddy of them all, the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, founded in 1850, specialized in both raw thuggery and advanced intelligence gathering techniques to make millions defending ruling class privileges and property. The Pinkertons broke scores of strikes and created the first national criminal data base. The State of Ohio outlawed the Pinkertons in 1890, fearing it had become a private army, or an independent militia. By that time, the Pinkerton’s were a larger force than the standing army of the United States. In 1999, after almost a century and a half of service to the rich and powerful, the Pinkerton agency was sold to Securitas Security Services USA, which six years later took part in the Katrina occupation.
However, we must be clear that the driving force behind the explosive growth of killer corporations is the U.S. military, which trains the assassins and sends them on missions of murder around the globe, and later hires them at fantastic salaries through mercenary corporations, which in turn become indispensable to the U.S. war machine. As long as the United States is allowed to act with imperial impunity on the world stage, its uniformed and civilian armed forces will recognize no laws, no limitations on their behavior. Private soldiers and mercenary corporations are only reflections of the government that gave them birth.

The Great Corporate Swindle: Creation of the World’s Largest Free Trade Area. Agribusiness Sets the US-EU TTIP Agenda

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)

Europe USA
According to the official language, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the US and EU plans to create the world’s largest free trade area, ‘protect investment’ and remove ‘unnecessary regulatory barriers’. Cut through the rhetoric and it becomes clear that the treaty aims to weaken labour, social, environmental and consumer protection standards.
Masterminded by the ‘High Level Working Group on Jobs and Growth’, this group has been accused of constituting nothing but a bunch of unelected and unaccountable, notorious pro-free-trade bureaucrats from both sides of the Atlantic [1].IP
In addition to the biotech sector, groups lobbying for the deal have included Toyota, General Motors, the pharmaceutical industry, IBM and the Chamber of Commerce of the US, one of the most powerful corporate lobby groups in the US. Business Europe, the main organisation representing employers in Europe, launched its own strategy on an EU-US economic and trade partnership in early 2012. Its suggestions were widely included in the draft EU mandate [2].
The deal could empower corporations to legally challenge a wide range of regulations which they dislike [3] and drive decision making ‘underground’, thereby escaping democratic scrutiny and allowing corporations to ‘capture’ regulatory processes [4].
One of the key aspects of the negotiations is that both the EU and US should recognise their respective rules and regulations, which could reduce regulation to the lowest common denominator. The official language talks of “mutual recognition” of standards or so-called reduction of non-tariff barriers. For the EU, that could mean accepting US standards in many areas, including food and agriculture, which are lower than those of the EU.
Food lobby group Food and Drink Europe has demanded the facilitation of the low level presence of unapproved genetically modified crops. This is also supported by feed and grain trading giants, including Cargill, Bunge, ADM, and the big farmers’ lobby COPA-COGECA.
The negotiations for this deal are shrouded in secrecy and are closed to proper public scrutiny, with trade unionists and public interests groups having been effectively sidelined in favour of a corporate-driven agenda [5]. This is however symptomatic of the general ethos and practices of Brussels’ bureaucrats and officials [6]. The talks amount to little more than backroom deals, while striving to give the appearance of somehow being democratic. If it goes through, this treaty would effectively constitute a vital part of cementing the ongoing restructuring of economies in favour of elite interests [7,8].
There has been a deliberate ploy to bar the public from any kind of meaningful information about or input into the world’s biggest trade deal ever to be negotiated. The trade deal appears to be a unique opportunity to achieve through closed and non-transparent negotiations what hasn’t been possible so far in a transparent and democratic way.
No sector has lobbied the European Commission more during the preparation phase for the negotiations on the proposed deal than the agribusiness sector, according to data just published by CEO in a series of research-based infographics [9]. Food multinationals, agri-traders and seed producers have had more contacts with the Commission’s trade department (DG Trade) than lobbyists from the pharmaceutical, chemical, financial and car industry put together.
Of the 560 lobby encounters that DG Trade held to prepare the negotiations, 520 (92 percent) were with business lobbyists, while only 26 (four percent) were with public interest groups. For every encounter with a trade union or consumer group, there were 20 with companies and industry federations. The data covers contributions to the Commission’s public consultations, public stakeholder meetings and lobby meetings behind closed doors.
Pia Eberhardt, trade campaigner with Corporate Europe Observatory, says:
“DG Trade actively involved business lobbyists in drawing up the EU position for TTIP while keeping ‘pesky’ trade unionists and other public interest groups at bay. The result is a big-business-first agenda for the negotiations which endangers many achievements that people in Europe have long struggled for, from food safety rules to environmental protection.”
While the European Commission has claimed publicly that the trade deal will not threaten European rules on food and environmental safety, the TTIP could lead to precisely that. Nina Holland, agribusiness campaigner with CEO, argues:
“Agribusiness lobbies such as the pesticide industry have strongly pushed their agenda via the TTIP negotiations with the aim of undermining current EU food regulations. Trade tools such as “mutual recognition” and “regulatory co-operation” are likely to lead to an erosion of food safety standards in the long run. The industry is also trying to use TTIP to derail important EU initiatives such as the one to deal with [check] endocrine disrupting chemicals.”
The infographics also shine a light on other economic sectors that were lobbying actively in the preparatory phase of the TTIP negotiations, including telecommunications and IT, auto industry, engineering and the chemical sector.
The data suggest that the agenda-setting for TTIP has been largely driven by businesses with headquarters in the US, Germany and the UK and by industry lobby groups organised on the EU level such as the European employers’ federation BusinessEurope and the European Services Forum, a lobby outfit of large services companies such as Deutsche Bank and TheCity UK. Companies from Greece and large parts of Eastern Europe were entirely absent from the corporate lobby push for TTIP, suggesting that businesses in the poorer EU countries have little to gain from this trade deal.
The data also reveals that more than 30 per cent (94 out of 269) of the private sector interest groups that have lobbied DG Trade on TTIP are absent from the EU’s Transparency Register, among them large companies such as Walmart, Walt Disney, General Motors, France Telecom and Maersk. Some of the industry associations lobbying hardest for TTIP such as the US Chamber of Commerce and the Transatlantic Business Council are also lobbying under the radar of the lobby register.
