Globalist ‘New Vision’ for Agriculture: A GMO World Takeover

What is now known as organic food today used to just be known as ‘food’ not so long ago.

More and more people are waking up to the fact that the widespread proliferation of genetically modified (GM) foods and petrochemicals are not only wreaking havoc on our environment, but wreaking havoc on us. More than 250 million acres are planted with GM crops each year. Again and again, honeybee Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) has been linked to pesticide use; for all the promises that genetically modified foods would result in less pesticide use, studies have actually confirmed the opposite to be true, giving rise to superweeds and superbugs. Herbicide use has only substantially increased.

According to the Institute for Responsible Technology, GM foods have been linked to some 65 health risks; evidence from dozens of animal studies and dire warnings from academic and industry research cannot be overlooked. Among these documented hazards are increased chances of allergies, organ dysfunction, digestive disorders, autoimmune issues, cancer and reproductive dysfunction.

Once planted, genetically modified organisms have been found to escape their fields and contaminate natural crops, killing biodiversity one plant at a time. GM material is tainting farmland all over the world in short, and it is only spreading.

The initial so-called Green Revolution was spurred in the 1940s by The Rockefeller Foundation as was ultimately about large-scale corporate farming practices — including propagation of hybridized seeds and pesticide use — and tended towards consolidation and monopoly of the food supply. As writer Stephen Lendman notes, “With Rockefeller family funding, the Green Revolution laid the groundwork for the Gene Revolution, allowing a handful of Anglo-American agribusiness giants to gain worldwide control of the food supply.”

This paved the way for the eventual introduction of GM crops all over the world. In July 2006, the Rockefeller Foundation initiated “Africa’s Turn: A New Green Revolution for the 21st Century,” with the accompanying statement, “It is time for a second ‘Green Revolution,’ aimed squarely at Africa.”

Africa, with its mix of developing nations and growing economy, is continually being forced back under the yoke of its neo-colonial masters. Just today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new trade mission “to promote U.S. agricultural trade and investment in sub-Saharan Africa” in support of President Obama’s “U.S. Strategy Toward Sub-Saharan Africa” initiative.

These kinds of ‘initiatives’ push GM products and agricultural chemical use in Africa, while consolidating local farmers under big agribusiness. One of the larger global initiatives is The World Economic Forum’s New Vision for Agriculture. According to the initiative website, New Vision “engages leaders of business, government, civil society, farmers organisations, development partners and other groups to work together to achieve sustainable agricultural growth. The initiative works at the global level with the G8 and G20, and facilitates national-level partnerships in 11 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.”

With specific mention that the world’s population will reach 9 billion by 2050, the plan revolves around the idea of production shortfalls, resource scarcity and climate change as drivers that justify modern agriculture ‘techniques’.

Plans include a transformational framework and roadmap for stakeholders that lays out “steps toward national-level agriculture transformation”. The initiative’s 2012 report acknowledged that the role GM foods will play is controversial, but stated, “Focus and good faith are required by all parties to ensure that controversies over these or other issues do not derail the broader multistakeholder collaboration.”

Internet archiving revealed the New Vision’s original explanation of their mission:
In 2010 the New Vision for Agriculture initiative worked with select governments to form public-private partnerships aimed at harnessing private-sector investment and technical expertise to help achieve the government’s goals for sustainable agriculture-sector growth. Initial reaction to this model has been strongly positive among governments, donor agencies and the private sector alike, as all three recognize it as a ‘win-win’ approach that leverages and multiplies each party’s investment. [emphasis added]
Participating companies involved in New vision include the usual suspects:
  • AGCO Corporation (an agricultural equipment manufacturer)
  • A.P. Møller-Maersk A/S (a shipping, oil and gas parent company)
  • BASF SE
  • Bayer CropScience AG
  • Bunge Limited (St. Louis-based international soybean exporter)
  • Cargill Incorporated
  • CF Industries Holdings Inc. (agricultural fertilizer manufacturer/distributor)
  • Diageo Plc (international alcoholic beverage company)
  • DuPont
  • General Mills Inc.
  • HEINEKEN
  • METRO AG
  • Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods Inc.)
  • Monsanto Company
  • Nestlé SA
  • Novozymes A/S (Denmark-based biotech company)
  • PepsiCo Inc.
  • Rabobank International (a leading international food/agri bank)
  • Royal DSM NV (international, science-based ‘nutrition’ company)
  • SABMiller Plc (multinational brewing/beverage company)
  • Sinar Mas Agribusiness & Food
  • Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd.
  • Syngenta International AG
  • The Coca-Cola Company
  • The Mosaic Company (Fortune 500 phosphate and potash miner; sells Hydrofluosilic Acid byproducts to municipalities to fluoridate water supplies)
  • Unilever
  • United Phosphorus Ltd. (a chemical and seed company)
  • Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
  • Yara International ASA (Norwegian chemical and fertilizer company)
In addition to representatives from these corporations, project review and advisory support also includes representatives from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, United Nations World Food Programme, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the USDA and Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).

Major public-private New Vision partnerships also include country-level initiatives in Mexico, Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

With so many major corporate players involved, it is all too clear who this project is meant to target – and benefit.

Debunking UFO 'Expert' Bob Lazar | Part 1

Debunking UFO 'Expert' Bob Lazar | Part 1

25 August 2012, 21:05
I'd like to start this article off with an explanation. I don't consider myself a 'debunker,' because I am not actively going out there on the internet looking for things to label as humbug. On the odd occasion though, there are people who should know better and who have a following of sheep (mostly ignorant, uneducated people) that clamor onto and slurp up every word these so-called 'experts' utter. These charlatans are the entities of intellectual treason that I aim to dethrone so that their flock may roam free and do more useful things with their time and money.
I find the field of UFOlogy exciting and much more of a challenging foe than christians and muslims (and other religiomaniacs), who always go running to faith and scripture when they lose an argument (which is always). UFOlogists, whilst cut from the same fabric as religiomaniacs, actually are quite smart in general. How smart? Well, the top fruit from the basket that is UFOlogy are actually legitimate, qualified scientists or high-ranking military personnel and engineers! Below these 'titans' of the movement are quite a few highly intelligent and knowledgeable men and women who provide a wealth of information, disinformation, explanations, and 'proof' to the sheep that eventually end up buy all the books, DVDs, and supposed 'alien' artifacts fabricated and flogged by these 'experts.'
Two of the most prominent and respected figures in UFOlogy today are Nuclear Physicist Stanton Friedman, and Dr. (Medical Doctor) Steven Greer. In future articles, I will do write about both of them and their conduct, as well, but in this article I want to start with Bob Lazar because whenever one debates a believer--in extraterrestrial phenomenon and alien life forms, that is--one invariably gets referred to the 'gospel' and scripture as written by THE Bob Lazar.
Some of you may say and ask. Ok Contrarian, we know you love stirring the pot, but really now; have you sunken so low as to attack charlatans from the 1980s while you gloss over the ones that are quacking loudly in the present?
To such themed statements and questions I will say the following: I would not be debunking some UFOlogist who rose to and fell from fame decades ago, if it were not that the balderdash peddled by him were still being kept in circulation by people who lack the most basic education and instinct to verify and cross-check the claims of their 'heroes' in the movement.
If I had a dollar (sorry, but the 'Rand' is but a memory to me now) for every time a believer told me to go and 'educate' myself by reading Bob Lazar's explanations and perusing his diagrams of alien spacecraft propulsion systems, then I would probably be out right now in my Ferrari, as opposed to sitting here at my desk, expunging my precious time to debunk a deceitful, guttersnipe UFOlogist from the 1980s! If I hear about element 115, or 'islands of stability' in super-heavy atomic nuclei, or the 'omicron' vs 'delta' flying configurations of UFOs, then I am going to launch a vomit rocket the size of the empire state building, travelling at faster than the speed of light, straight at the Zeta Reticulii cluster to trigger an inter-planetary war between humankind and 'the Greys!'
But who is Bob Lazar? His full name is Robert Lazar, and he was born 26 Januay, 1959, in Coral Gables, Florida, USA. Apart from his ‘otherworldly’ claim to fame, he did some collaborative work with a NASA researcher on a jet car—a venture which landed him a spot in the media in 1982. Bob Lazar claims he holds degrees from MIT and CalTech and is a physicist (or was, more on that later) who was recruited by the US government to be one of a handful of people on the planet allowed to view and study ‘extraterrestrial' technology. Specifically, his job was to reverse engineer the propulsion systems of hand-me-down alien spacecraft (UFOs). He has appeared on a number of T.V. and radio shows and continues to have a somewhat demigod-like reputation in the field of UFOlogy.
He was at the height of his fame in the late-1980s to late-1990s. In that time, Bob had shown himself to be inconsistent, at best, when it came to how and what he divulged about his research work on alien spacecraft. He would often try to brush off attempts by interviewers to reconcile what he said with what he was busy saying as him merely having a 'poor memory' of the events and details he witnessed. He also cannot show any proof of ever having been at MIT or CalTech or having graduated from either institution.
Bob Lazar has the perfect explanation for his inability to prove that he's a graduate (in physics and electronics) from two of the world's most prestigious universities. He claims the US government wiped out every record related to him in an attempt to discredit and squash him after he left their secret projects to publically share his knowledge regarding UFO technology harboured and studied at S4. S4 is shorthand for Site-4, which supposedly is the workshop and storage facility for the infamous Area-51 installation. Area-51, of course, requires no introduction to anyone who grew up within the reach of a T.V, but for those who don’t know, Area-51 is that extraterrestrial piss-hole in the Nevada desert where, supposedly, three trillion Dollars from the USA's annual budget pays for the reverse engineering and replication of downed UFOs!
Steeped in secrecy and surrounded by an impenetrable military presence, Area-51 has become the wet dream obsession of every UFO & alien nut walking the planet. The fact that it is a secret compound with a strong military presence, out in the middle of a desert, obviously means it is being used to shoot down and reverse engineer ET's bicycle! Doh! How can that facility be used for ANYTHING else but that purpose? But most people know what is being done at Area-51. The US military is building and testing hypersonic aircraft for stealth combat and surveillance purposes. However, it takes more than a few pictures of ramjet-engine rockets or angular stealth planes to pass something off as reverse engineered from alien spacecraft!
Ramjets, pulsejets, and angular, radar-evading craft are actually primitive terrestrial aviation technologies and definitely not gleaned from UFOs! If you care to read the news about the US testing supersonic craft, you’d notice that they blow up or fly apart at an unnerving rate. I don’t think that would happen if you supposedly learned how to make near indestructible alloys by studying ET’s bicycle.
But let me get back to ol' Bob. Even Stanton Friedman, who on occasion entertains the nonsense spewed by his fellow UFOlogists, tried to look into Bob Lazar's background and could not find any reference that he had ever been to MIT or CalTech. Nobody there remembers Bob, and Bob could not recall the name or surname of ANY of his lecturers. He could not even give the name of any of his fellow students at the time he attended these universities who would be able to verify that he had sat in class with them.
When your fellow basket fruit questions your credibility and claims, you really have a lot of explaining to do. And most definitely not the vapid excuse that you have a cranial shortcoming in the form of a poor or selective memory!
When one listens to interviews conducted with Bob Lazar, it becomes painfully evident that the man gets uncomfortable and even evasive when the topic of his educational background is called into question. Bob Lazar, of course, to this day, continues to hide behind his impenetrable force field: a self-loathing reminder that he has 'a very poor memory.' Well then, even more reason to whack him with the scrupulously straight bat of the peer-review process.
In part 2 I will delve deep into the lies, conspiracies, inaccuracies, and shenanigans of Bob Lazar. I will take his diagrams and contextually inaccurate scientific utterings and explain them properly to whomever is interested. I hope that I can show it plainly and clearly that Bob Lazar is one of the biggest frauds ever to grace the history pages of UFOlogy!
After note: As I was doing research for part 2 of this article, I noticed Bob Lazar has closed his website (http://www.boblazar.com) down with a 'reopening soon' notice. I'll have to resort to other sources (scattered and incomplete as they may be) to piece together enough content for part 2. Please give me some time to verify the information to ensure it accurately represents what Bob Lazar's claims.

Threesome Stabbing

  • Threesome Stabbing
FEBRUARY 13--A ménage a trois went horribly wrong last Friday when a North Dakota man stabbed another male participant when he refused to switch positions during the tryst, according to court records.
Ashley Hunter, 33, was charged this week with felony aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing Orlando DeWitt, 37, in the arm during the bizarre February 8 encounter. Hunter is pictured in the adjacent mug shot.
Cops report that Hunter and DeWitt--who met in prison--had been partying with several female acquaintances Friday night at a Fargo bar when they returned to Hunter’s residence (after a 2:30 AM McDonald’s pit stop).
DeWitt told police that he “began kissing on the couch” with one of the women, named Leticia. Soon, they were “under the covers and they had their pants off,” which led, of course, to the new couple having sex. DeWitt added that he twice caught Hunter watching the living room action from his adjacent bedroom.
At one point, DeWitt reported, Hunter “came out of the bedroom and began kissing on Leticia’s breasts.” In short order, Leticia “began to perform oral sex on Hunter.” It appears that DeWitt was continuing to have sex with Leticia while she was performing double duty.
And that is when the trouble began.
“Hunter then asked to switch places with Orlando,” according to a Fargo Police Department report. “Orlando told him no and Hunter became upset.” During the ensuing argument, DeWitt called Hunter a “fucking retard,” which infuriated Hunter. He yelled at DeWitt and ordered him to leave the residence.
DeWitt, seen at left, recalled that Hunter--who threatened to “fuck him up” and “kill him”--reached into the couch and retrieved a 12-inch butcher knife. DeWitt and Leticia, both naked, fled to a bathroom. Hunter, knife in hand, subsequently forced his way into the bathroom and continued to threaten DeWitt.
“Orlando said he decided to run for the front door,” police reported. The nude DeWitt reached the home’s first door, but as he “went to open the exterior door he felt the knife cutting the back of his left arm.” While fleeing the home, DeWitt, who was not seriously injured, grabbed Leticia’s phone, which he used to call 911 from a nearby alley.
Charged Monday with DeWitt’s stabbing, Hunter was booked into the Cass County jail in lieu of $5000 bail. He remains locked up in advance of a March 13 court appearance. (3 pages)

Michigan Sex Extortion

  • Michigan Sex Extortion
SEPTEMBER 11--A former model is facing a felony rap after allegedly seeking to extort money from a wealthy Michigan businessman to whom she sent suggestive photos and exchanged sexually charged text and voice messages, The Smoking Gun has learned.
Mirella Dzioba, 33, is charged with hatching a scheme to score a six-figure hush money payment from the married executive. Pictured below, Dzioba was freed on $10,000 bond after appearing Monday in U.S. District Court in Detroit.
The 61-year-old victim, who lives in a large lakefront home, did not respond to TSG messages left with his wife. The man is not named in court documents that describe him only as a “wealthy businessman...in the Detroit metropolitan area.”
According to an FBI affidavit, Dzioba, who works for a real estate agency, met the victim at a closing in July. “Dzioba subsequently asked the victim if he would accompany her for a drink at a later time, to which the victim agreed,” reported FBI Agent Marc Silski.
When the pair met at a Rochester restaurant, the married Dzioba told the man that she “enjoyed ‘strong’ men speaking to her in a sexual manner and encouraged the victim to do so while in the restaurant,” investigators allege. “The victim was also encouraged by Dzioba to subsequently leave several similar voicemail messages.”
During a second restaurant rendezvous, Dzioba “inquired about the extent of the victim’s wealth,” and told the man that “at some time in the future she will ask for money to help her, or for a charity,” Silski reported. The FBI alleges that Dzioba also texted the victim “what could fairly be described as suggestive photographs” of herself.
The victim told federal agents that Dzioba then began pressing him for $1400 so that she could pay for a computer and a real estate class. When the victim did not immediately respond, Dzioba allegedly texted, “O forget it. Seriously I’m done. Maybe I should call her.” The man interpreted the message as a threat to contact his wife.
Concerned that Dzioba would falsely claim that “something beyond the meetings and phone communications had occurred,” the man decided to pay her $1400 (which he delivered to Dzioba at her office).
Upon receiving the cash, Dzioba allegedly told the victim that she needed $250,000 more to keep from “telling the victim’s wife and family about their encounters and conversations.” In text messages sent from Dzioba’s phone, the man was warned that “If u think u can shut me up with 1400$ u r mistaken” and “All u got to do is pay and no one will ever know. Ever.”
Armed with the victim’s voicemail messages--and apparently a tape recording of their first restaurant meeting--Dzioba subsequently threatened the man’s lawyer that, “I will also contact media.”
The victim eventually contacted the FBI. Guided by agents, the man negotiated a $100,000 payoff to be delivered in $5000 installments.
Last Tuesday, the man met with Dzioba in the parking lot outside her office. He handed her an envelope with $4800 in $100 bills, money he had been provided by FBI agents. “The next five needs to be by the end of the week though,” said Dzioba.
FBI agents arrested Dzioba Monday on a complaint charging her with a felony carrying a maximum of five years in prison.
According to a biography on her employer’s web site, Dzioba is a mother of three who “loves to do volunteer work and help others.” Additionally, she “has done modeling in her past and is currently doing the news on the radio on weekends.” Dzioba’s Facebook page--which is stocked with glamour shots of the Bosnian émigré--notes that she was in the Class of 2004 at Michigan’s Wayne State University, where she studied “Journalism Broadcast.” (8 pages)

The Lost Grand Canyon City Cover Up

Friday, September 13, 2013
ARIZONA GAZETTE, MONDAY EVENING, APRIL 5, 1909
The latest news of the progress of the explorations of what is now regarded by scientists as not only the oldest archaeological discovery in the United States, but one of the most valuable in the world, which was mentioned some time ago in the Gazette, was brought to the city yesterday by G.E. Kinkaid, the explorer who found the great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip from Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado in a wooden boat, to Yuma, several months ago.
According to the story yesterday to the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the archaeologist of the Smithsonian Institute, which is financing the explorations, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human hands, was of Oriental origin or possibly from Egypt tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out of the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the fictionist.
A Thorough Investigation
Under the direction of professor S.A. Jordan, the Smithsonian Institute is now prosecuting the most thorough explorations, which will be continued until the last link in the chain has been forged. Nearly a mile underground, about 1480 feet below the surface, the long main passage has been delved into, to find another mammoth chamber from which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes of a wheel. Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854 feet and another 634 feet.
The recent finds include articles which have never been known as native to this country and doubtless they had their origin in the Orient. War weapons, copper instruments sharp edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the camp for extensive studies and the force will be increased to thirty or forty persons. Before going further into the cavern, better facilities for lighting have to be installed, for the darkness is dense and impenetrable for the average flash light. In order to avoid being lost, wires are being strung from the entrance to all passageways leading directly to large chambers. How far this cavern extends no one can guess, but it is now the belief of many that what has already been explored is merely the “Barracks”, to use an American term, for the soldiers, and that far into the underworld will be found the main communal dwellings of the families and possibly other shrines. The perfect ventilation of the cavern, the steady drought that blows through, indicates that it has another outlet to the surface.
Mr. Kinkaids Report
Mr. Kinkaid was the first white child born in Idaho and has been an explorer and hunter all his life. Thirty years having been in the service of the Smithsonian Institute. Even briefly recounted, his history sounds fabulous, almost grotesque.
“First, I would impress that the cavern is almost inaccessible. The entrance is almost 1486 feet down a shear canyon wall. It is located on government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty of trespass. The scientists wish to work unmolested, without fear of the archaeological discoveries being disturbed by curio or relic hunters. A trip there would be fruitless and the visitor would be sent on his way.
The story of how I found the cavern has already been recounted, but in a paragraph: I was journeying down the Colorado river in a boat, alone, looking for mineral. Some forty two miles up the river from El Tovar Crystal canyon, I saw on the east wall, stains in the sedimentary formation about 2000 feet above the river bed. There was no trail to this point, but I finally reached it with great difficulty. Above a shelf, which hid it from view of the river, was the mouth of the cave. There are steps leading from this entrance some thirty yards from what was at the time the cavern was inhabited, the level of the river. When I saw the chisel marks on the wall inside the entrance, I became interested, secured my gun and went in. During that trip I went back several hundred feet along the main passage, till I came to the main crypt in which I discovered the mummies. One of these I stood up and photographed by flashlight. I gathered a number of relics, which I carried down the Colorado to Yuma, from whence I shipped them to Washington with details of the discovery. Following this, the explorations were undertaken”.
The Passages
“The main passageway is about 12 feet wide, narrowing to 9 feet toward the farther end. About 57 feet from the entrance, the first passages branch off to the right and left, along which, on both sides, are a number of rooms about the size of ordinary living rooms of today, though some are 30 to 40 feet square.
These are entered by oval shaped doors and are ventilated by round air spaces through the walls into the passages. The walls are about 3 feet 6 inches in thickness. The passages are chiseled or hewn as straight as could be laid out by any engineer. The ceilings of many of the rooms converge to a center. The side passages near the entrance run at a sharp angle from the main hall, but toward the rear they gradually reach a right angle in direction”.
The Shrine
“Over a hundred feet from the entrance is a cross-hall, several hundred feet long, in which was found the idol, or image, of the peoples god, sitting cross-legged, with a Lotus flower or Lily in each hand. The cast of the face is Oriental, and the carving shows a skillful hand, and the entire is remarkably well preserved, as is everything in this cavern. The idol most resembles Buddha, though the scientists are not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that the worship most resembles the ancient people of Thibet. Surrounding this idol are smaller images, some beautiful in form, other crooked necked and distorted shapes, symbolical, probably, of good and evil. There are two large cacti with protruding arms, one on each side of the dais on which the god squats. All this is carved out of hard rock resembling marble.
In the opposite corner of this cross-hall were found tools of all descriptions, made of copper. This people undoubtedly knew the lost art of hardening this metal, which has been sought by chemists for centuries without result. On a bench running around the workroom was some charcoal and other material probably used in the process. There is also slag and stuff similar to matte, showing that these ancient peoples smelted ores, but so far, no trace of where of how this was done has been discovered, nor the origin of the ore. Among other finds are vases or urns and cups of copper and gold made very artistic in design. The pottery work includes enameled ware and glazed vessels.
Another passageway leads to granaries such as are found in the Oriental temples. They contain seeds of various kinds. One very large storehouse has not been entered, as it is twelve feet high and can be reached only from above. Two copper hooks extend on the edge, (continued on page 7) which indicates that some sort of ladder was attached. These granaries are rounded and the materials of which they are constructed, I think, is a very hard cement. A grey metal is also found in this cavern which puzzles the scientists, for it’s identity has not been established. It resembles platinum. Strewn promiscuously over the floor everywhere are what people call “Cats eyes” or “Tiger eyes”, a yellow stone of no great value. Each one is engraved with a head of a Malay type.”
The Hieroglyphics
“On all the urns, on the walls over the doorways and tablets of stone which were found by the image are mysterious hieroglyphics, the key to which the Smithsonian Institution hopes yet to discover. These writings resemble those found on the rocks about this valley. The engraving on the tablets probably has something to do with the religion of the people, Similar hieroglyphics have been found in the peninsula of Yucatan, but these are not found in the Orient. Some believe that these cave dwellers built the old canals in the Salt River valley. Among the pictorial writings only two animals are found. One is of prehistoric type”.
The Crypt
“The tomb or crypt in which the mummies are found is one of the largest of the chambers, the walls slanting back at an angle of about 35 degrees. One these are tiers of mummies, each one occupying a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench on which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords. Some of the mummies are covered with clay and all are wrapped in a bark fabric. The urns or cups on the lower tiers are crude, while as the higher shelves are reached, the urns are finer in design showing a interstage of civilization. It is worthy of note that all the mummies examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being buried here. This leads to the belief that this interior section was the warriors barracks.
Among the discoveries no bones of animals have been found, no skins, no clothing nor bedding. Many of the rooms are bare but for the water vessels. One room, about 400 by 700 feet, was probably the main dining hall for cooking utensils are found here. What these people lived on is a problem, though it is presumed that they came south for the winter and farmed in the valleys, going back north in the summer. Upwards of 50,000 people could have lived in the cavern comfortably.
One theory is that the present Indian tribe found in Arizona are descendants of the serfs or slaves of the people which inhabited the cave. Undoubtedly a good many thousands of years before the Christian era a people lived here which reached a high state of civilization. The chronology of human history is full of gaps. Prof. Jordan is much enthused over the discoveries and believes that the find will prove of incalculable value in archaeological work.
One thing I have spoken of may be of interest. There is one chamber the passageways to which is not ventilated and when we approach it a deadly, snaky smell struck us. Our lights would not penetrate the gloom and until stronger ones are available, we will not know what the chamber contains. Some say snakes, but others boo-hoo this idea and think that it may contain a deadly gas or chemicals used by the ancients. No sounds are heard, but it smells snaky just the same.
The whole underground institution gives one of shaky nerves the creeps. The gloom is like a weight on ones shoulders and our flashlights and candles only make the darkness blacker.
Imagination can revel in conjectures and ungodly day-dreams back through the ages that have elapsed till the mind reels dizzily in space”.
An Indian Legend
In connection with this story, it is notable that among the Hopis the tradition is told that their ancestors once lived in an underworld in the Grand Canyon till dissension arose between the good and the bad, the people of one heart, the people of two hearts. (Manchoto) who was their chief, counselled them to leave the underworld, but there was no way out. The chief then caused a tree to grow up and pierce the roof of the underworld and then the people of one heart climbed out. They tarried by Palsiaval (Red River), which is the Colorado, and grew grain and corn. They sent out a message to the temple of the sun, asking the blessing of peace, good will and rain for the people of one heart. That messenger never returned but, today at the Hopi village, at sundown can be seen the old men of the tribe out on the housetops gazing towards the sun, looking for the messenger. When he returns, their land and ancient dwelling place will be restored to them. That is the tradition.
Among the engravings of animals in the cave is seen a image of a heart over the spot where it is located. The legend was learned by W.E. Rollins, the artist, during a year spent with the Hopi Indians. There are two theories of the origin of the Egyptians. One is that they came from Asia: another is that the racial cradle was in the upper Nile region. Heeren, an Egyptologist, believed in the Indian origin of the Egyptians. The discoveries in the Grand Canyon may throw further light on human evolution and prehistoric ages.”
The Smithsonian Says they have no record of this happening and stories of a massive cover up have be around since the story made print in 1909. I guess one must pose the question as to why this finding must be supressed for over 100 years. China Accuses Israel of being Behind U.S. lies of Syria and the Iraq War

I have put information up about China saying that the U.S. is lying about Syria, previously.

Now, they are not just proclaiming the U.S. is lying along with the U.K about Syria and the 'proof' that Assad committed the chemical attack against it's people on the 21st of August.  They are saying Israel is behind both the Syria lies and they were behind the WMD lies of Iraq.  They are accusing Israel of wanting war in the Middle East.

I had never seen China point the finger at Israel for any of it before.  This is a major accusation in my opinion.   It seems that they have had enough with the lies and war, as they know the real prize for Israel is Iran.  China does a lot of business with Iran and they appear to be protecting Iran by outright saying Israel is behind it all.

They also say in the article that the U.S. and U.K. have lost all of their credibility now.  They imply Israel is behind what the governments are doing.  That means we do not have a government of the U.S., we have a government of and for Israel, that backs them up first and foremost.  That also means Israel has no qualms along with the U.S. government allowing our military to die for lies, so Israel gets what they want.

The REAL Fukushima Danger

The Real Problem …

The fact that the Fukushima reactors have been leaking huge amounts of radioactive water ever since the 2011 earthquake is certainly newsworthy.  As are the facts that:
But the real problem is that the idiots who caused this mess are probably about to cause a much bigger problem.
Specifically, the greatest short-term threat to humanity is from the fuel pools at Fukushima.
If one of the pools collapsed or caught fire, it could have severe adverse impacts not only on Japan … but the rest of the world, including the United States.   Indeed, a Senator called it a national security concern for the U.S.:
The radiation caused by the failure of the spent fuel pools in the event of another earthquake could reach the West Coast within days. That absolutely makes the safe containment and protection of this spent fuel a security issue for the United States.
Nuclear expert Arnie Gundersen and physician Helen Caldicott have both said that people should evacuate the Northern Hemisphere if one of the Fukushima fuel pools collapses. Gundersen said:
Move south of the equator if that ever happened, I think that’s probably the lesson there.
Former U.N. adviser Akio Matsumura calls removing the radioactive materials from the Fukushima fuel pools “an issue of human survival”.
So the stakes in decommissioning the fuel pools are high, indeed.
But in 2 months, Tepco – the knuckleheads who caused the accident – are going to start doing this very difficult operation on their own.
The New York Times reports:
Thousands of workers and a small fleet of cranes are preparing for one of the latest efforts to avoid a deepening environmental disaster that has China and other neighbors increasingly worried: removing spent fuel rods from the damaged No. 4 reactor building and storing them in a safer place.
The Telegraph notes:
Tom Snitch, a senior professor at the University of Maryland and with more than 30 years’ experience in nuclear issues, said  “[Japan officials] need to address the real problems, the spent fuel rods in Unit 4 and the leaking pressure vessels,” he said. “There has been too much work done wiping down walls and duct work in the reactors for any other reason then to do something….  This is a critical global issue and Japan must step up.”
The Japan Times writes:
In November, Tepco plans to begin the delicate operation of removing spent fuel from Reactor No. 4 [with] radiation equivalent to 14,000 times the amount released by the Hiroshima atomic bomb. …. It remains vulnerable to any further shocks, and is also at risk from ground liquefaction. Removing its spent fuel, which contains deadly plutonium, is an urgent task…. The consequences could be far more severe than any nuclear accident the world has ever seen. If a fuel rod is dropped, breaks or becomes entangled while being removed, possible worst case scenarios include a big explosion, a meltdown in the pool, or a large fire. Any of these situations could lead to massive releases of deadly radionuclides into the atmosphere, putting much of Japan — including Tokyo and Yokohama — and even neighboring countries at serious risk.
CNBC points out:
The radioactive leak at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant is far from under control and could get a lot worse, a nuclear energy expert, who compiles the annual “World Nuclear Industry Status Report” warned.
***
The big danger – and it was identified by Japan’s atomic energy commission – is if you lose water in one of the spent fuel pools and you get a spent fuel fire.
CNN reports:
[Mycle Schneider, nuclear consultant:]  The situation could still get a lot worse. A massive spent fuel fire would likely dwarf the current dimensions of the catastrophe and could exceed the radioactivity releases of Chernobyl dozens of times. First, the pool walls could leak beyond the capacity to deliver cooling water or a reactor building could collapse following one of the hundred  of aftershocks. Then, the fuel cladding could ignite spontaneously releasing its entire radioactive inventory.
Reuters notes:
The operator of Japan’s crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is preparing to remove 400 tons of highly irradiated spent fuel from a damaged reactor building, a dangerous operation that has never been attempted before on this scale.
Containing radiation equivalent to 14,000 times the amount released in the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima 68 years ago, more than 1,300 used fuel rod assemblies packed tightly together need to be removed from a building that is vulnerable to collapse, should another large earthquake hit the area.
Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) is already in a losing battle to stop radioactive water overflowing from another part of the facility, and experts question whether it will be able to pull off the removal of all the assemblies successfully.
“They are going to have difficulty in removing a significant number of the rods,” said Arnie Gundersen, a veteran U.S. nuclear engineer and director of Fairewinds Energy Education, who used to build fuel assemblies.
The operation, beginning this November at the plant’s Reactor No. 4, is fraught with danger, including the possibility of a large release of radiation if a fuel assembly breaks, gets stuck or gets too close to an adjacent bundle, said Gundersen and other nuclear experts.
That could lead to a worse disaster than the March 2011 nuclear crisis at the Fukushima plant, the world’s most serious since Chernobyl in 1986.
No one knows how bad it can get, but independent consultants Mycle Schneider and Antony Froggatt said recently in their World Nuclear Industry Status Report 2013: “Full release from the Unit-4 spent fuel pool, without any containment or control, could cause by far the most serious radiological disaster to date.”
***
The utility says it recognizes the operation will be difficult but believes it can carry it out safely.
Nonetheless, Tepco inspires little confidence. Sharply criticized for failing to protect the Fukushima plant against natural disasters, its handling of the crisis since then has also been lambasted.
***
The process will begin in November and Tepco expects to take about a year removing the assemblies, spokesman Yoshikazu Nagai told Reuters by e-mail. It’s just one installment in the decommissioning process for the plant forecast to take about 40 years and cost $11 billion.
Each fuel rod assembly weighs about 300 kilograms (660 pounds) and is 4.5 meters (15 feet) long. There are 1,331 of the spent fuel assemblies and a further 202 unused assemblies are also stored in the pool, Nagai said.
***
Spent fuel rods also contain plutonium, one of the most toxic substances in the universe, that gets formed during the later stages of a reactor core’s operation.
***
“There is a risk of an inadvertent criticality if the bundles are distorted and get too close to each other,” Gundersen said.
He was referring to an atomic chain reaction that left unchecked could result in a large release of radiation and heat that the fuel pool cooling system isn’t designed to absorb.
“The problem with a fuel pool criticality is that you can’t stop it. There are no control rods to control it,” Gundersen said. “The spent fuel pool cooling system is designed only to remove decay heat, not heat from an ongoing nuclear reaction.”
The rods are also vulnerable to fire should they be exposed to air, Gundersen said. [The pools have already boiled due to exposure to air.]
***
Tepco has shored up the building, which may have tilted and was bulging after the explosion, a source of global concern that has been raised in the U.S. Congress.
***
The fuel assemblies have to be first pulled from the racks they are stored in, then inserted into a heavy steel chamber. This operation takes place under water before the chamber, which shields the radiation pulsating from the rods, can be removed from the pool and lowered to ground level.
The chamber is then transported to the plant’s common storage pool in an undamaged building where the assemblies will be stored.
[Here is a visual tour of Fukushima's fuel pools, along with graphics of how the rods will be removed.]
Tepco confirmed the Reactor No. 4 fuel pool contains debris during an investigation into the chamber earlier this month.
Removing the rods from the pool is a delicate task normally assisted by computers, according to Toshio Kimura, a former Tepco technician, who worked at Fukushima Daiichi for 11 years.
“Previously it was a computer-controlled process that memorized the exact locations of the rods down to the millimeter and now they don’t have that. It has to be done manually so there is a high risk that they will drop and break one of the fuel rods,” Kimura said.
***
Corrosion from the salt water will have also weakened the building and equipment, he said.
And if an another strong earthquake strikes before the fuel is fully removed that topples the building or punctures the pool and allow the water to drain, a spent fuel fire releasing more radiation than during the initial disaster is possible, threatening about Tokyo 200 kilometers (125 miles) away.
ABC Radio Australia quotes  an expert on the situation (at 1:30):
Richard Tanter, expert on nuclear  power issues and professor of international relations at the University of Melbourne:
***
Reactor Unit 4, the one which has a very large amount of stored fuel in its fuel storage pool, that is sinking. According to former prime Minister Kan Naoto, that has sunk some 31 inches in places and it’s not uneven. This is really not surprising given what’s happened in terms of pumping of water, the aftermath of the earthquake and the tsunami, the continuing infusions of water into the groundwater area. This is an immediate problem, and if it is not resolved there is an extraordinary possibility we really could be back at March 2011 again because of the possibility of a fission accident in that spent fuel pond in Unit No. 4.
Xinua writes:
Mitsuhei Murata, a former Japanese ambassador to Switzerland has officially called for the withdrawalof Tokyo’s Olympic bid, due to the worsening crisis at Fukushima, which experts believe is not limited to storage tanks, but also potential cracks in the walls of the spent nuclear fuel pools.
Japan Focus points out:
The spent-fuel pool … was damaged by the earthquake and tsunami, and is in a deteriorating condition. It remains vulnerable to any further shocks, and is also at risk from ground liquefaction.
***
If a fuel rod is dropped, breaks or becomes entangled while being removed, possible worst case scenarios include a big explosion, a meltdown in the pool, or a large fire.
***
This is literally a matter of national security – another mistake by TEPCO could have incredibly costly, even fatal, consequences for Japan.

Like Pulling Cigarettes Out of a Crumpled Pack

Fuel rod expert Arnie Gundersen – a nuclear engineer and former senior manager of a nuclear power company which manufactured nuclear fuel rods – recently explained the biggest problem with the fuel rods (at 15:45):
I think they’re belittling the complexity of the task. If you think of a nuclear fuel rack as a pack of cigarettes, if you pull a cigarette straight up it will come out — but these racks have been distorted. Now when they go to pull the cigarette straight out, it’s going to likely break and release radioactive cesium and other gases, xenon and krypton, into the air. I suspect come November, December, January we’re going to hear that the building’s been evacuated, they’ve broke a fuel rod, the fuel rod is off-gassing.
***
I suspect we’ll have more airborne releases as they try to pull the fuel out. If they pull too hard, they’ll snap the fuel. I think the racks have been distorted, the fuel has overheated — the pool boiled – and the net effect is that it’s likely some of the fuel will be stuck in there for a long, long time.
In another interview, Gundersen provides additional details (at 31:00):
The racks are distorted from the earthquake — oh, by the way, the roof has fallen in, which further distorted the racks.
The net effect is they’ve got the bundles of fuel, the cigarettes in these racks, and as they pull them out, they’re likely to snap a few. When you snap a nuclear fuel rod, that releases radioactivity again, so my guess is, it’s things like krypton-85, which is a gas, cesium will also be released, strontium will be released. They’ll probably have to evacuate the building for a couple of days. They’ll take that radioactive gas and they’ll send it up the stack, up into the air, because xenon can’t be scrubbed, it can’t be cleaned, so they’ll send that radioactive xenon up into the air and purge the building of all the radioactive gases and then go back in and try again.
It’s likely that that problem will exist on more than one bundle. So over the next year or two, it wouldn’t surprise me that either they don’t remove all the fuel because they don’t want to pull too hard, or if they do pull to hard, they’re likely to damage the fuel and cause a radiation leak inside the building.  So that’s problem #2 in this process, getting the fuel out of Unit 4 is a top priority I have, but it’s not going to be easy. Tokyo Electric is portraying this as easy. In a normal nuclear reactor, all of this is done with computers. Everything gets pulled perfectly vertically. Well nothing is vertical anymore, the fuel racks are distorted, it’s all going to have to be done manually. The net effect is it’s a really difficult job. It wouldn’t surprise me if they snapped some of the fuel and they can’t remove it.
And Chris Harris – a, former licensed Senior Reactor Operator and engineer – notes that it doesn’t help that a lot of the rods are in very fragile condition:
Although there are a lot of spent fuel assemblies in there which could achieve criticality — there are also 200 new fuel assemblies which have equivalent to a full tank of gas, let’s call it that. Those are the ones most likely to go critical first.
***
Some pictures that were released recently show that a lot of fuel is damaged, so when they go ahead and put the grapple on it, and they pull it up, it’s going to fall apart. The boreflex has been eaten away; it doesn’t take saltwater very good.

Like Letting a Murderer Perform Brain Surgery On a VIP

What’s the bottom line?
Tepco has an abysmal track record:
  • Tepco just admitted that it’s known for 2 years that massive amounts of radioactive water are leaking into the groundwater and Pacific Ocean
  • Tepco’s recent attempts to solidify the ground under the reactors using chemicals has backfired horribly.  And NBC News notes: “[Tepco] is considering freezing the ground around the plant. Essentially building a mile-long ice wall underground, something that’s never been tried before to keep the water out. One scientist I spoke to dismissed this idea as grasping at straws, just more evidence that the power company failed to anticipate this problem … and now cannot solve it.”
Letting Tepco remove the fuel rods is like letting a convicted murderer perform delicate brain surgery on a VIP.
Top scientists and government officials say that Tepco should be removed from all efforts to stabilize Fukushima.   An international team of the smartest engineers and scientists should handle this difficult “surgery”.
The stakes are high …

Manipulating Marijuana: Monsanto and Syngenta Invest In RNA Interference Technology

CANNABIS CULTURE - Having been cultivated and used ceremonially, recreationally and medicinally for thousands of years, cannabis – despite prohibitive laws surrounding the non-medicinal use of the plant – is undoubtedly on the radar of big agribusiness.
These companies would certainly turn a profit from developing a patentable transgenic seed for sole distribution if the use of cannabis were to become legal. It would be easy for these companies to create a monopoly over the industry by abusing their ties with federal regulators. This has all been a point of much debate within the cannabis community for many years.
With this in mind, it's fair to say that one of the only positives of marijuana prohibition, with the art of breeding, growing and distributing cannabis heavily underground for most of its commercial history, the Big 6 seed and chemical companies have not been able to dominate the industry with their patented technologies.
The trouble: things may change soon. Monsanto, Syngenta, BASF, Bayer, Dow and DuPont have, until recently, largely focused their energy on monopolizing the food industry, but some have developed a keen interest in this still-illegal plant as well.
Whether the backwards idea of keeping psychoactive plants entirely prohibited continues, or whether full legalization is granted, or simply if only medicinal liberties remain the loophole on marijuana use, these companies are seeking new and preparatory ways to cash-in on the popular use of cannabis.
With bureaucratic regulation of medicinal use of the plant being discussed in the halls of government and on its way to becoming the standard, many agro-companies are set to be outsourced as the main providers of medicinal pot. For obvious reasons then, these companies are already underway researching genetically modified (GM) cannabis in order to control its THC content.
If these corporations are given sole administrative power of seed distribution to the licensed medicinal outlets, they may want to keep THC at very low concentrations of 3 to 5%. On the contrary, if by retract of the recent medicinal freedom, pot becomes entirely prohibited once again, they can still benefit by joining hands with the champions of the drug war and eradicating THC content in the plant entirely.
THC: Potency the Natural Way
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, one of the psychoactive components in marijuana, has always been the subject of artful breeding. Without GM technology, experienced growers have perfected ancient methods of breeding organic cannabis with around 10% or more THC. By use of a natural cultivation process called human selection – a sped up form of natural selection – marijuana growers have been learning how to increase THC content without the use of any lab or corporate product.
This has enabled the marijuana world to maintain independence from the massive seed and chemical companies.
Of course, deep knowledge of the plant, extensive farming practices, genuine care and time spent in order to learn how to breed this useful plant, are a must for growers who want to deliver a truly organic, naturally cultivated and increasingly potent product.
In North America, British Columbia has been a place of highly concentrated talent – growers from all over the world come to the Northwest to take advantage of its nutrient-rich soil, prime weather conditions, and historically lax laws to learn how to grow potent marijuana, learning the best techniques to breed a product with a high THC content.
The concentration of organic-friendly farmers and environmentally concerned activists in the area have been a bonus to growers who, like tomato and arugula cultivators, learn from each other using permaculture-based methods (to ward off pests naturally without pesticides or BT technology, for instance) and thereby nurture prime conditions for growing successful healthy crops.
With the demand for potent BC Bud always increasing, of course there will be those attracted to growing with purely profit-driven motives. Rather than take the time and patience to learn true farming practices, some unexperienced growers will look to chemical companies to help increase their crop yields.
GM cannabis has already been developed for purely pharmaceutical use and to license to the government for medicinal study in laboratories. At the same time, over the last ten years, the realization that these chemicals and genetically modified versions of our ingestible plants could possibly cause major health problems like cancer, has been front and center on the stage of awareness.
Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Fund and other advocacy groups have said the risks of GM technologies have not been adequately identified or resolved. Opponents also question the objectivity of regulatory authorities.
The fight against GM food will surely heat up as this awareness increases. With the close-knit relationship between those who enjoy an organic plant-based diet and those who enjoy using marijuana, agribusiness might be safely kept away from cannabis cultivation – just so long as growers who value the true art of growing stick to their ancient practices, and those who are destructively profit-driven are pushed out.
But this will require high levels of consumer awareness. Medicinal patients should also demand their medicinal marijuana doesn't come from the laboratory, but rather, to have experienced organic growers be the government's source for licensed marijuana.
RNA interference
The biggest concern with cannabis and GM control now remains. While they gain a monopoly over medical marijuana, the challenge of governments who continue to wage the ostensible "War on Drugs" is being taken on by some of the Big 6. Monsanto and Syngenta are currently investing millions of dollars into a new GM technology called RNA interference.
RNAi, as it's also known, is a method where the RNA - which is the code from a plant or animal's DNA that tells its proteins how to organize in order to create, say, what colour the plant will be - is interfered with. In RNAi, double-stranded RNA is inserted so that this original code is obstructed; so that the pigmentation instructions don't make it to the proteins.
Scientists in Spain have successfully injected double-stranded RNA into a purple petunia to interfere with the genes that usually tell the flower to turn purple. Where the RNA code translation was interfered with, the flower grew white stripes where the proteins had no information on how to organize in order to create the colouring.
This process initially stepped into development as an alternative to insecticides: if you can insert double-stranded RNA into a plant's seed that is designed to interfere with the offending insect's RNA instructions for, say, digestive capabilities, after ingesting the plant and therefore the RNAi, the pest will no longer be able to eat.
More on this science has been in the works. Testing has already been done creating double-stranded RNA that have been injected into spider mites, the most resilient of crop pests, which interferes with the RNA instructing the mites' proteins on muscle development so the sider mite can no longer move.
The problem with this process is that the transgenic genes intended to interfere with the plant or the pest will then be ingested by the human. No matter how small an amount this gene interference is intended to be, there are scientists raising red flags about the potential harm this could have on our own biological systems or cell and protein development.
GM Cannabis
Here, the potential applications of this technology for the cannabis industry step onto the stage: imagine what genetic instructions within the cannabis plant might be interfered with. Certainly to profit from the billions spent on the Drug War in its attempt to eradicate the world of psychoactive plants, these companies might offer a rendition of this GM technology where genes determining THC content are interfered with.
If it weren't for the growing evidence that GM and RNAi crops may be damaging to humans, it's possible to imagine a host of potential benefits to genetically modifying the cannabis plant. Larger, more potent, and pest-resistent grow shows are an attractive proposition, but are they worth the many risks?
RNAi technology is still in its elementary development stage and they're currently testing methods by which to administer it. A spray that contains this double-stranded RNAi technology, is thought to be the most marketable, but in Spain, injecting RNAi directly into the seed has been the focus of their extensive research. Another step before making it to the market is the question of how to regulate it for food-safety and health risks.
Developers of RNAi technology estimate that it could take 5 to 10 years to bring the technology up to code, so there is still time to help support and empower organic growers and non-GM cultivators.
Canada will soon employ a new commercial medical marijuana production system, where large-scale producers will be permitted to grow cannabis and distribute it through the mail. If you have a licence to purchase cannabis for medicinal use in Canada, tell Health Canada to you will not accept a product that has been interfered with using GM or RNAi technology.
In the United States, it could be a long while before the federal government allows any kind of research and development into GM cannabis, let alone any kind of sales or distribution for medical or recreational purposes, but things are moving quickly at the state level.
The slogan "Know Your Farmer" has gained popularity over the years in enlightened agricultural circles. In order to save our most ancient and beloved psychoactive plants from falling into the hands and under the control of the agri-chem profiteers, let everyone remember the slogan "Know Your Grower."
Hard work, pure talent, and unparalleled dedication to the natural world will continue to deliver us both our health and our freedom.

The woman trapped on the internet

First the internet thought mysterious Korean woman ‘Chip-chan’ was a corpse. Now they think she simply finds it impossible to tear herself away from the internet.
Chip Chan
Nobody knows what Chip-chan’s real name is. We don’t know for sure where in Korea she lives, nor where her family is. But we do know, however, everything she does, every day of the year.
Why? Because Chip-chan continuously broadcasts her life through three webcams. And Chip-Chan does not lead a normal life.

When the internet first discovered the Korean woman they have since dubbed “Chip-chan”, they thought she was dead, lying slumped in the corner of a messy room, covered with unintelligible hand-written placards. 4chan eventually realised that she was in fact alive – but trapped.
Perhaps noticing that her webcams had sprung into action, Chip-chan hid behind one of her signs.
Chip-Chan
Internet users scrambled to find someone who could decipher Chip-chan’s cryptic messages, and a bizarre story began to coalesce around her. According to the messages she left in view of her webcam as she slept, Chip-chan can’t sleep from 7 until 10pm, thanks to a police officer she calls “P”.
Her other signs bore just as mysterious statements:
Don’t get tricked, don’t get fooled. Early every morning. If someone comes that paralyzes the person. I can’t be stopped.
Eventually a blog was located, which seems to originate from the same place as the webcams above. In it, she posts about a chip that has been implanted in her ankle. She says it causes her to fall asleep. A corrupt police officer, “P”, stalks her, and she claims that he enters her flat when she is asleep, turning off her cameras.
The stalker use this skill from 2006, I have slept for 20 hours everyday since then. I do not know what have happened while I sleep, I have been always afraid of sleeping.
It is unknown whether Chip-chan installed the webcams herself. Whether she is trying to see what happens when she sleeps (which can be for up to 20 hours a day) or whether “P” is trying to keep track of her, thousands of people across the world watch Chip-chan’s life, saving videos and still images to post online, alongside their theories about why she lives and behaves so strangely.
Chip Chan at home
Self-styled Chip-chan experts have established that she rarely leaves the house, except to gather supplies dressed in a disguise. Compiling a list of places that she has mentioned, it seems that Chip-chan lives in Seoul. Chippies have noted that she sometimes sleeps in a filing cabinet.

The places Chip-chan has mentioned
Some followers have tried emailing Chip-chan, and have received unintelligible responses filled with blurry photographs of police officers.
Could Chip-chan really be controlled by a corrupt police officer? The VeriChips that this unknown woman claims to have had implanted inside her do exist, and RFID technology is being used around the world.
It is, however, unlikely that they could exert the level of control that she claims in her blog and on her signs.
Other internet speculators claim to have spoken to police officers in Seoul who are aware of Chip-chan. They have dismissed her as mentally ill, and allow her to occasionally take photographs of them when she is outside protesting against CCTV and corrupt policemen.
The internet, with its perpetual sweaty palms, watches on.

Federal agency seeks to monitor 80 percent of U.S. consumer credit card transactions in 2013

CFPB Director Richard Cordray

Activist Post

In a controversial move, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is reportedly seeking to monitor 80 percent of consumer credit card transactions in the United States in 2013, totaling up to 42 billion transactions.

If accomplished, this would be yet another massive federal database containing the private information of Americans. It would also be an additional database the government can’t protect.

The data mining program was revealed in a CFPB planning document for fiscal years 2013-17 obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The “markets monitoring” program would collect information on some 42 billion transactions made with around 933 million credit cards.

The CFPB, established in 2011, came under fire soon after its inception.

In June 2012 the entire agency’s constitutionality was challenged in a lawsuit. In July of this year, a company pressured to turn over millions of consumer records to the CFPB also filed a lawsuit.

Even the Richard Cordray, the newly-appointed director, acknowledged the many concerns.

“People aren’t sure what to make of it,” Cordray said to The Washington Post. “They’re worried about a new agency and how it will exercise authority.”

Cordray defended the CFPB data mining practice at a House Financial services Committee hearing on Wednesday. He said the agency is monitoring the use of credit cards at 110 banks.

“This is one step closer to a Big Brother form of government where they know everything about us,” said Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wis.

Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) was also quite critical of the agency, noting that it is “designed to operate outside the usual system of checks and balances that applies to every other government agency.”

Rep Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) pointed out the apparent conflict of interest in the issuing of a $5 million contract by CFPB to a company co-founded by the agency’s Office of Research.

Duffy attempted to get Cordray to say exactly how many credit cards are being monitored by the CFPB but Cordray reportedly refused multiple times until he listed just five major institutions.

Cordray identified “Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Capital One, Discover and American Express,” according to the Washington Examiner.

“The agency has never given us a number of how many Americans have been surveilled,” Duffy said. “However, we’ve seen in their disclosures they are collecting 80 percent of credit cards in America, 1.16 billion credit cards, which means that they are collecting information on just under a billion credit cards in America. That’s a scary number.”

On top of monitoring credit card transactions, the agency also reportedly hopes to monitor 95 percent of all mortgage transactions by 2014.

An interesting aspect of the recent criticism of the CFPB is that it seems to largely come from Republicans or otherwise conservative individuals.

This isn’t at all surprising, given the wild partisanship of individuals in Washington. In the case of the National Security Agency’s surveillance program, democrats largely opposed it under George W. Bush then completely flip-flopped to support it under Obama.

If a republican happened to be in office and a similar agency was employing similar tactics, it is almost certain that the same people now supporting the CFPB would oppose it and vice versa.
