Comcast Mega-Corp Shoveling Money At FCC Subcommittee

For a long time, people have argued over whether or not corporate
lobbying was legalized bribery or protected speech. It's a fascinating
argument to me, personally, mostly because I don't understand why we're
arguing over such a silly question. Let's just pretend I came up with
some kind of awesome prose that dutifully began with a reference to the
fact that NSA supporters in our government were paid off by defense contractors, deftly moved on to mention that roughly half of our proud public servants in Congress jump ship for lobbying
gigs, and finish it all off with me just shouting the name Chris Dodd
at you, and we can all get back to the business of not doing anything to
stop this obvious bribery. Or, rather, we can get back to it in a
moment, right after I tell you all about how Comcast gives the subcommittee controlling the FCC roughly all of the money.
Comcast has been among the top corporate donors to members of
Congress, and following the money shows that they have been focusing
their giving on members of the Subcommittee on Communications and
Technology, which has jurisdiction over the Federal Communications
Commission.
-House members of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology
received $853,525 from Comcast from January 1, 2001 - December 31, 2012.
-Contributions from Comcast to House members serving in the 109th,
110th, 111th and 112th Congresses total $6,678,446 from January 1, 2001 -
December 31, 2012. -Representative Greg Walden, R-Ore., Chairman of
the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology has received $53,000
from Comcast from January 1, 2001 - December 31, 2012.
-Representative John Dingell, D-Mich., has received $100,775 from
Comcast from January 1, 2001 - December 31, 2012 more than any other
member of the House of Representatives. He is a member of the
Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.
These numbers may not seem staggering, but you're thinking about them in
terms of corporate levels, not government bribery. In the game of
bribing the folks directly involved in overseeing the overseeing body
that Comcast has to worry about with their Time Warner merger, they're amongst the top contributors. That's all that matters, not the totals. Anyone else see a problem with this?
Now, what everyone is really waiting for is to see if the Justice
Department is going to get involved and scream "antitrust." However,
please, please keep in mind that this subcommittee we're talking
about was elected to represent the people of their districts and the
nation as a whole. And Comcast is outbidding you. And tons of
companies are outbidding you. It's difficult to see how corporate
lobbying doesn't create a massive conflict of interests, with this
serving as a prime example.

In a Republic, the sovereignty resides in the people themselves,
whether one or many. In a Republic, one may act on his own or through
his representatives as he chooses to solve a problem. Further, the
people have no obligation to the government; instead, the government
being hired by the people, is obliged to its owner, the people.
The people own the government agencies. The government agencies own
the citizens. In the United States we have a three-tiered cast system
consisting of people —> government agencies —> and citizens.
The people did “ordain and establish this Constitution,” not for
themselves, but “for the United States of America.” In delegating powers
to the government agencies the people gave up none of their own. (See
Preamble of U.S. Constitution). This adoption of this concept is why the
U.S. has been called the “Great Experiment in self government.” The
People govern themselves, while their agents (government agencies)
perform tasks listed in the Preamble for the benefit of the People. The
experiment is to answer the question, “Can self-governing people coexist
and prevail over government agencies that have no authority over the
People?”
The citizens of the United States are totally subject to the laws of
the United States (See 14th Amendment of U.S. Constitution). NOTE: U.S.
citizenship did not exist until July 28, 1868.
Actually, the United States is a mixture of the two systems of
government (Republican under Common Law, and democratic under statutory
law). The People enjoy their God-given natural rights in the Republic.
In a democracy, the Citizens enjoy only government granted privileges
(also known as civil rights).
There was a great political division between two major philosophers,
Hobbes and Locke. Hobbes was on the side of government. He believed that
sovereignty was vested in the state. Locke was on the side of the
People. He believed that the fountain of sovereignty was the People of
the state. Statists prefer Hobbes. Populists choose Locke. In
California, the Government Code sides with Locke. Sections 11120 and
54950 both say, “The people of this State do not yield their sovereignty
to the agencies which serve them.” The preambles of the U.S. and
California Constitutions also affirm the choice of Locke by the People.
It is my hope that the U.S. will always remain a Republic, because I value individual freedom.
Thomas Jefferson said that liberty and ignorance cannot coexist.*

(Feb. 4, 2014) — In my last post I related that 175 federal judges had received copies of Doug Vogt’s affidavit which forensically established probable cause to believe that Barack Hussein Obama’s certificates of live birth are forgeries. The cover letter accompanying the affidavit asked each Judge to refer the evidence contained in Doug’s 95 page public affidavit – and 75 page sealed affidavit – to a Grand Jury to investigate.
One of my faithful – though anonymous – followers recently added a note to my last post stating: “So
it has been almost a month now and not a single update. I think I can
guess what the responses have all been. “snicker – snicker.”
Au contraire, mon ami. In fact three (3) federal judges have acknowledged receipt of Doug’s Affidavit. Two of them have forwarded the affidavit to their respective United States Attorneys. The third wrote back stating: “I was very impressed by the letter and attachments you sent to me. I do not dismiss the allegations you make as untrue.”
The letter continued with the commitment to submit Doug’s affidavit to
the Grand Jury for their consideration. So like a modern-day Diogenes, perhaps we have found one honest federal district court judge.
Let me posit what will happen next. Doug and I – a former criminal
prosecutor with extensive experience presenting evidence to a grand
jury and securing indictments – will be invited to appear before the
Grand Jury. Doug to detail the forensic evidence contained in his
affidavit; Me to explain the legal options available to the Grand Jury
to follow up on the evidence that Doug presents them. Operating outside
the control of the United States Attorney’s office and with the support
of the federal judge and the United States Marshal’s Service, a dozen
federal Grand Jury subpoenas will be issued and served by the Marshal’s
Service nationwide. The originals of Obama’s birth records from Hawaii, college transcripts from the three colleges he attended, along with his Social Security and Selective Service records
would all be compelled to be produced to this Eric Holder-free Grand
Jury. Additionally, the players in the Obama Birth Certificate pageant
would all be called to testify as to their roles: Remember, there is no
Fifth Amendment privilege to refuse to answer a question put to a witness by a Grand Jury.
Which is why I say, Mr. Obama, the People have some questions for you.

Abraham Lincoln worked valiantly to prevent the Rothschild’s attempts to involve themselves in financing the Civil War.
The Rothschild bank financed the North and the Paris branch of the same bank financed the South,
which is the real reason the Civil War was ignited and allowed to
follow its long, and bloody course. The more Americans that die, the
more money the Rothschild bankers made.
SLAVERY was a diversion for the war, Lincoln’s contempt for
rothschild central bank was the real reason for the fomentation as only
3% of the southern population had slaves. The majority of the South were
Irish/Scottish Catholics who bannered Saint Andrew’s Cross ‘The

Interestingly, it was the Czar of Russia who provided the needed
assistance against the British and French, who were among the driving
forces behind the secession of the South and her subsequent financing.
Russia intervened by providing naval forces for the Union blockade of
the South in European waters, and by letting both countries know that if
they attempted to join the Confederacy with military forces, they would
also have to go to war with Russia.The Rothschild interests did
succeed, through their agent Treasury Secretary Salmon P. Chase, to
force a bill (the National Banking Act) through Congress creating a
federally chartered central bank that had the power to issue U.S. Bank
Notes.
Afterward, Lincoln warned the American people: “The
money power preys upon the nation in time of peace and conspires
against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy,
more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. I see in
the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me, and causes me to
tremble for the safety of our country. Corporations have been enthroned,
an era of corruption will follow, and the money power of the country
will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the
people, until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the republic
is destroyed.” Lincoln continued to fight against the central
bank, and some now believe that it was his anticipated success in
influencing Congress to limit the life of the Bank of the United States
to just the war years that was the motivating factor behind his
assassination.

nothing about our monetary system. They would be surprized to know that
the U. S. Treasury makes 22 1/2 cents on each quarter it mints, as it
only costs 2 1/2 cents to mint this coin. Similar profits are realized

because the U. S., when minting coins, is simply following its
Constitutional responsibility–the government alone has the right to

evidence of a massive conspiracy that links the following parties to the
Bank of Rothschild: Lincoln’s Secretary of War Edwin Stanton, John
Wilkes Booth, his eight co-conspirators, and over seventy government

but the fact remains that whoever it was, he had no chance to identify
himself. It was Secretary of War Edwin Stanton who made the final
identification. Some now believe that a dupe was used and that the real
John Wilkes Booth escaped with Stanton’s assistance.
Mary Todd Lincoln, upon hearing of her husband’s death, began
screaming, “Oh, that dreadful house!” Earlier historians felt that this
spontaneous utterance referred to the White House. Some now believe it
may have been directed to Thomas W. House, a gun runner, financier, and
agent of the Rothschild’s during the Civil War, who was linked to the
anti-Lincoln, pro-banker interests.

This alarmed the owners of the Fed like a fifty point tremor on the
Richter Scale. This must cease at once. The Fed bankers found themselves
facing an intolerable situation one which defied them and at the same
time, one which they could not publicly complain without letting the cat
out of the bag. Any complaint by the Fed would put it in a very
bad light. The public would soon be aware of the gigantic scam the Fed
has gotten away with since 1913. This scam allowed the Fed to avoid all
income taxes and even audits.

U.S. money supply by 62 percent. This was the time known as “The Roaring

The Drought In Brazil Has Gotten So Bad That 142 Cities Are Now Rationing Water

Did
you know that the drought in Brazil is so bad that some neighborhoods
are only being allowed to get water once every three days? At this
point, 142 Brazilian cities are rationing water and there does not
appear to be much hope that this crippling drought is going to end any
time soon. Unfortunately, most Americans seem to be absolutely clueless
about all of this. In response to my recent article
about how the unprecedented drought that is plaguing California right
now could affect our food supply, one individual left a comment stating
“if Califirnia can’t supply South America will. We got NAFTA.” Apart
from the fact that this person could not even spell “California”
correctly, we also see a complete ignorance of what is going on in the
rest of the planet. The truth is that the largest country in South
America (Brazil) is also experiencing an absolutely devastating drought
at the moment. They are going to have a very hard time just taking care
of their own people for the foreseeable future.
And this horrendous drought in Brazil could potentially have a huge impact on the total global food supply. As a recent RT article detailed, Brazil is the leading exporter in the world in a number of very important food categories…
Over 140 Brazilian cities have been pushed to ration
water during the worst drought on record, according to a survey
conducted by the country’s leading newspaper. Some neighborhoods only
receive water once every three days.
Water is being rationed to nearly 6 million people living in a total of 142 cities across 11 states in Brazil, the world’s leading exporter of soybeans, coffee, orange juice, sugar and beef.
Water supply companies told the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper that the
country’s reservoirs, rivers and streams are the driest they have been
in 20 years. A record heat wave could raise energy prices and damage
crops.
Some neighborhoods in the city of Itu in Sao Paulo state (which
accounts for one-quarter of Brazil’s population and one-third of its
GDP), only receive water once every three days, for a total of 13 hours.
Are you starting to see what I mean?
This is serious.
The drought in North America also continues to get even worse. According to an expert interviewed by National Geographic, this drought in the state of California “could last for 200 years or more”…
B. Lynn Ingram,
a paleoclimatologist at the University of California at Berkeley,
thinks that California needs to brace itself for a megadrought—one that
could last for 200 years or more.
As a paleoclimatologist, Ingram takes the long view,
examining tree rings and microorganisms in ocean sediment to identify
temperatures and dry periods of the past millennium. Her work suggests
that droughts are nothing new to California.
A drought of even 10 years would absolutely cripple this
nation. Already, the size of the total U.S. cattle herd is the smallest
that it has been in 63 years and California farmers are going to let half a million acres
sit idle this year because of the extremely dry conditions. If this
drought persists for several more years we will have an unprecedented
crisis on our hands.
Unfortunately, there are signs that this current drought in
California may be part of a larger trend. I had never heard of “the
Pacific Decadal Oscillation” before this week, but apparently it is a
phenomenon that can cause droughts that last “for decades“…
Ingram and other paleoclimatologists have correlated
several historic megadroughts with a shift in the surface temperature of
the Pacific Ocean that occurs every 20 to 30 years—something called the
Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO). The PDO is similar to an El Nino
event except it lasts for decades—as its name implies—whereas an El Nino
event lasts 6 to 18 months. Cool phases of the PDO result in less
precipitation because cooler sea temperatures bump the jet stream north,
which in turn pushes off storms that would otherwise provide rain and
snow to California. Ingram says entire lakes dried up in California
following a cool phase of the PDO several thousand years ago.
And of course it isn’t just the western half of the country
that is struggling with water supply problems. In the Southeast, water
has been a major political issue for quite some time…
The drought-parched states of Georgia, Alabama and
Florida are back at it — fighting for a slice of water rights in a
decades-long water war that’s left all three thirsty for more.
The 24-year dispute is emblematic of an increasingly common economic
problem facing cities and states across the country – the demand for
water quickly outpacing the supply as spikes in population soak up
resources.
Most of us that live in the United States are accustomed to having
seemingly inexhaustible supplies of fresh water. We use more fresh
water per capita than anyone else on the planet, and most of us never
even think twice about it.
Unfortunately, things are changing. We are on the precipice of a great water crisis, and many Americans are going to be in for a very rude awakening.
And the frightening thing is that the U.S. is actually in much better shape than most of the rest of the world is when it comes to supplies of fresh water. In some areas of the globe, a “water crisis” is already a daily reality.
We have heard that someday water is going to become the “new oil”,
and we are starting to get to that point. Life is simply not possible
without water, and as global supplies of clean, fresh water dwindle it
is inevitable that it is going to cause global tensions to rise.
