Voiceprint harvesting – the next frontier in data privacy war

Corporations and governments alike are hungry for data on people. In addition to internet behavior records and mobile phone metadata, there is a little-known digital bounty they are after – voiceprints – and they’re harvesting them in their millions.
In fact corporate and government databases in the US, Europe and elsewhere contain more than 65 million samples of people’s voices, AP reports, citing interviews with dozens of industry representatives. Voiceprints are increasingly used for user identification, much like people recognize each other by voice.
"There's a misconception that the technology we have today is only in the domain of the intelligence services, or the domain of 'Star Trek,'" said Paul Burmester, of London-based ValidSoft, a voice biometric vendor. "The technology is here today, well-proven and commonly available."
Last year the industry brought in revenue of just under $400 million, according to estimates voiced by Dan Miller, an analyst with Opus Research in San Francisco. In 2015, it is expected to skyrocket to between $730 million and $900 million.
"The general feeling is that voice biometrics will be the de facto standard in the next two or three years," said Iain Hanlon, a Barclays executive.

A bigger part of voiceprint usage is by clients of banks to get access to financial services. Providers say recognition technology now is accurate enough to ensure accurate positive confirmation.
"We've done a lot of testing, and looked at siblings, even twins," said John Buhl, executive at Vanguard Group, a Pennsylvania-based mutual fund.
"Even people with colds, like I have today, we looked at that," he said in a somewhat hoarse voice in a phone interview.
Sometimes bank clients may not even suspect that voiceprint recognition is in effect. For example, two major US banks, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Co., use a voice screening system provided by matching the voiceprints of people calling them against a database of fraught suspects to prevent identity theft.
Of course, running the system in secret may be frowned upon and may be even illegal in some states. AP cites a legal document dated August 2013, in which the Israel-based biometrics company NICE Systems Ltd. advises its bank clients on giving legal ground for creating a consortium of companies that would share a blacklist of voiceprints.

The memo suggests altering the welcome message to include a notice that the call “may be monitored, recorded and processed for quality assurance and fraud prevention purposes."
"Creating a voiceprint from the call falls under 'processing,'" the memo explains. "Sharing the voiceprints within the consortium is for the purposes of fraud prevention."
Governments are catching up with the corporate world, too. In the US, voiceprints are used to monitor inmates and track offenders on parole – a landline phone call may substitute a visit to the precinct. New Zealand has collected over 1 million voiceprints, which are used by the Internal Revenue Department. South Africa’s Social Security Agency pays pensions to roughly 7 million people after verifying via a voiceprint that the recipient is still alive.
Privacy advocates are expectedly concerned with giving governments or corporation more info to play with. Voiceprint popularity is a potential surveillance tool, they say.
"It's more mass surveillance," said Sadhbh McCarthy, an Irish privacy researcher. "The next thing you know, that will be given to border guards, and you'll need to speak into a microphone when you get back from vacation."

News and the Art of the Con

Step right up!
Step right up!
By: Jay
Fear! Panic! Pandemic! Downed planes and riots and ISIS and ducks crossing the Interstate! Joseph Kony! News! News is so important! Watch the news and pay attention to the game show host “reporter” telling you about kitty rescue missions and Ebola, or you’ll be left in the dark! Old people are falling for emails scams! You might even be Left Behind with Nic Cage and Tim LaHaye.  What is the deep, esoteric, mystical meaning in all this?  Actually, it’s rather simple.  While there are deeper esoteric mystical things out there, let’s not overlook the obvious.  The majority of what all this is about is simple: the con.
The art of the con is one of the oldest, time-honored practices of fallen humanity manifest in man’s second oldest profession – espionage.  News is simpler than that. Statecraft is stagecraft and it has always been so.  Having read “Spotted Horses” by Faulkner the other day I was struck by its insight – a riotous comic tale about the Snopes family and their adept con artistry.  On another level, it was highly insightful about human nature, and for me, it brought to mind mass media.  Flem Snopes is the heartless con artist who sells a family of fools wild horses that aren’t his.  At the end, the Tulls are unable to get any restitution from the legal system because they are unable to prove the horses were the Snopes’ or that any money was given for them.  Part of Faulkner’s intention is the unfortunate truth that, in a sense, people who are conned are often willingly connned.
Remember the 80s? As a child of the 80s, I remember a few news spectacles that stand out – Iran/Contra and AIDS.  AIDS was all the news and Reagan talked about, and I recall being subjected to endless warnings and threats about AIDS as the new pandemic that would wipe out large swaths of the population.  Then, they said AIDS could be transmitted through spit and toilet seats, and everyone was going to come into contact with it.  We were even told that by the 90s and later, we would all know a close friend or family member with AIDS.  By the time I graduated high school in the 90s, there were ominous news stories about how hundreds of thousands in metropolitan areas had AIDS.  Almost twenty years later, with no “cure” for AIDS, the pandemic has been forgotten.  Sometime around the late 90s, AIDS became hack material.  Expect the current Ebola “crisis” to do the same.  For laughs, observe this AIDS public service announcement from Australia that almost seems like a joke:

1987-Australia - AIDS

This sketch comedy approach leaves the impression that everyone is going to die from AIDS and the only way to be safe is to wear a condom and not have sex.  Thankfully, on top of being lovingly concerned for our teeth by putting fluoride in the water, we can rest easy that big brother also cares about us not getting and STDs.  To help with this, brother gubmint actually prefers that we just don’t have sex or reproduce.  Ahh – there it is – don’t reproduce!  Remember that the big goal of the establishment is depopulation, and it is generally under this banner that you can group the telos for all the PR Psy Ops rollouts.  The same foundations that run the government and are partnered with the largest corporations are behind all the big PR rollouts of this nature.  Ford, Rockefeller, Annenberg, Aspen, Oppenheimer, Gates, etc., are the private power brokers, and they own the gubmint.  Remember the Ozone depletion fear from the 80s?  Farts and spray cans were destroying the ozone layer, and we’d all burn up from UV rays.  If that happened, I missed it, and where are the endless news clips about the annihilated ozone layer?  Ozone became hack material just like AIDS.
The androgyny is coming to you!
The androgyny is coming to you!
Depopulation is the one thing these foundations have in common, and with their army of think tanks and public relations rollouts, all the energy of the entire establishment is geared towards this one goal.  This goal encapsulates feminism and the inversion of gender, public schooling, transhumanism, geoengineering, climate change, AIDS, Obamacare, fiat banking and Wall Street, the New Age/one world religion movement, the CIA and on and on.  National governments do not exist, but foundations do, and the same foundation chairmen run the fortune 100.  They are permitted a degree of competition amongst them, to see who is the most rapacious social Darwinian viper, but the end goal is all the same – world government and a mass sacrifice of fattened sow masses.  Recalling “Spotted Horses,” it is astounding to watch all this transpire, as the unfazed populace transubstantiates from fool to androgynous goblin, all the while the foundation priests mutter the words of consecration, “This is my body, this is my blood,” as the offering is prepared for their master, the devil, the snake oil salesman of old.

The United States is No. 1 — But in What? Military Expenditure, Weapons Export and International Violence

& how long until the REST of the Planet..gets tired of our so~called "elites"  pushing their "agenda"  shit !   huh America! maybe just maybe "IT's" time we kick "their" asses outta "their" own party  ...lets try that 1  ...once  Oops

us flag bombs
American politicians are fond of telling their audiences that the United States is the greatest country in the world.  Is there any evidence for this claim?
Well, yes.  When it comes to violence and preparations for violence, the United States is, indeed, No. 1.  In 2013, according to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the U.S. government accounted for 37 percent of world military expenditures, putting it far ahead of all other nations.  (The two closest competitors, China and Russia, accounted for 11 percent and 5 percent respectively.)  From 2004 to 2013, the United States was also the No. 1 weapons exporter in the world.  Moreover, given the U.S. government’s almost continuous series of wars and acts of military intervention since 1941, it seems likely that it surpasses all rivals when it comes to international violence.
This record is paralleled on the domestic front, where the United States has more guns and gun-related deaths than any other country.  A study released in late 2013 reported that the United States had 88 guns for every 100 people, and 40 gun-related deaths for every 400,000 people―the most of any of the 27 economically developed countries surveyed.  By contrast, in Britain there were 6 guns per 100 people and 1 gun-related death per 400,000 people.
Yet, in a great many other areas, the United States is not No. 1 at all.
Take education.  In late 2013, the Program for International Student Assessment released a report on how 15-year old students from 65 nations performed on its tests.  The report showed that U.S. students ranked 17th in reading and 21st in math.  An international survey a bit earlier that year by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development found that the ranking was slightly worse for American adults.  In 2014, Pearson, a multinational educational services company, placed the United States 20th in the world in “educational attainment”―well behind Poland and the Slovak Republic.
American healthcare and health fare even worse.  In a 2014 study of healthcare (including infant mortality, healthy life expectancy, and mortality from preventable conditions) in 11 advanced industrial countries, the Commonwealth Fund concluded that the United States ranked last among them.  According to the World Health Organization, the U.S. healthcare system ranks 30th in the world.  Other studies reach somewhat different conclusions, but all are very unflattering to the United States, as are studies of American health.  The United States, for example, has one of the world’s worst cancer rates (the seventh highest), and life expectancy is declining compared to other nations.  An article in the Washington Post in late 2013 reported that the United States ranked 26th among nations in life expectancy, and that the average American lifespan had fallen a year behind the international average.
What about the environment?  Specialists at Yale University have developed a highly sophisticated Environmental Performance Index to examine the behavior of nations.  In the area of protection of human health from environmental harm, their 2014 index placed the United States 35th in health impacts, 36th in water and sanitation, and 38th in air quality.  In the other area studied―protection of ecosystems―the United States ranked 32nd in water resources, 49th in climate and energy, 86th in biodiversity and habitat, 96th in fisheries, 107th in forests, and 109th in agriculture.
These and other areas of interest are dealt with by the Social Progress Index, which was developed by Michael Porter, an eminent professor of business (and a Republican) at Harvard.  According to Porter and his team, in 2014 the United States ranked 23rd in access to information and communications, 24th in nutrition and basic medical care, 31st in personal safety, 34th in water and sanitation, 39th in access to basic knowledge, 69th in ecosystem sustainability, and 70th in health and wellness.
The widespread extent of poverty, especially among children, remains a disgrace in one of the world’s wealthiest nations.  A 2013 report by the United Nations Children’s Fund noted that, of the 35 economically advanced countries that had been studied, only Rumania had a higher percentage of children living in poverty than did the United States.
Of course, the United States is not locked into these dismal rankings and the sad situation they reveal about the health, education, and welfare of its citizens.  It could do much better if its vast wealth, resources, and technology were employed differently than they are at present.
Ultimately, it’s a matter of priorities.  When most U.S. government discretionary spending goes for war and preparations for war, it should come as no surprise that the United States emerges No. 1 among nations in its capacity for violence and falls far behind other nations in providing for the well-being of its people.
Americans might want to keep this in mind as their nation embarks upon yet another costly military crusade.

The Lie Machine: Trade “Partnerships” and the Hegemony of US Corporations Over the Laws of Foreign Countries

free trade
I have come to the conclusion that the West is a vast lie machine for the secret agendas of vested interests. Consider, for example, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and the Transpacific Trade and Investment Partnership.
These so-called “partnerships” are in fact vehicles by which US corporations make themselves immune to the sovereign laws of foreign countries in which they do business. A sovereign country that attempts to enforce its laws against an American corporation can be sued by the corporation for “restraint of trade.” For example, if Monsanto wants to sell GMO seeds in France or US corporations wish to sell genetically-modified foods in France, and France enforces its laws against GMOs, the Transatlantic Trade Partnership allows France to be sued in jurisdictions outside the courts of France for “restraint of trade.” In other words, preventing the entry into France of a prohibited product constitutes restraint of trade.
This is the reason that the US has insisted that the Transatlantic and Transpacific Partnerships be totally secretive and negotiated outside the democratic process. Not even the US Congress has been permitted knowledge of the negotiations.
Obviously, the Europeans and Asians who are agreeing with the terms of these “partnerships” are the bought-and-paid-for agents of the US corporations. If the partnerships go through, the only law in Europe and Asia will be US law. The European and Asian government officials who agree to the hegemony of US corporations over the laws of their countries will be so handsomely paid that they could enter the realm of the One Percent.
It is interesting to compare the BBC’s coverage (October 10) with that of RT (October 11). The BBC reports that the aim of the Transatlantic Partnership is to remove “barriers to bilateral commerce” and to stimulate more trade and investment, economic growth and employment. The BBC does not report that the removal of barriers includes barriers against GMO products.
Everyone knows that the European Commission is corrupt. Who would be surprised if its members hope to be enriched by the American corporations? Little wonder the European Commission declared that concerns that the Transatlantic partnership would impact the sovereignty of countries is misplaced.  http://www.bbc.com/news/business-29572475
RT, which is restrained in reporting truth because it operates inside the US, still manages to come to the point in its headline: “No TTIP: Mass protests slam US-EU trade deal as ‘Corporate power grab’.”
All over Europe people are in the streets in mass rallies against secret agreements by their corrupt governments for Washington to take over their lives and businesses. RT reports that “social networks have been mobilized for a mass campaign that has been calling on Europeans and Americans to take action against ‘the biggest corporate power grab in a decade’.”
RT quotes a leader of the demonstration in Berlin who says the secret agreements “give corporations more rights they’ve ever had in history.” As we all know, corporations already have too many rights.
“Protests are planned in 22 countries across Europe–marches, rallies and other public events–in over 1,000 locations in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, The Czech Republic and Scandinavian countries.”
Did you hear about this latest American corporate power grab from Fox “News,” CNN, New York Times, London Times, ABC? Of course not. Did you hear about the massive protests against it? Of course not. You only hear what the interest groups permit you to hear.
RT reports that the main aim of the international protests is “to reclaim democracy” and to put an end to the secret deals that are destroying life for everyone but the American corporations, organizations now regarded worldwide as the epitome of evil.
http://rt.com/news/195144-europe-protests-stop-ttip/
These phony “trade agreements” are advocated as “free trade removal of tariffs,” but what they remove are the sovereignties of countries. America is already ruled by corporations. If these faux “trade agreements” go through, Europe and Asia will also be ruled by American corporations.

“De-Dollarization”: Iran, Russia Planning to Establish Joint Bank

Fall of the Dollar on G-20 Finance Ministers Agenda
Iran and Russia plan to establish a joint bank as an effort to multiply bilateral trade and bypass sanctions on the Islamic Republic’s banking sector.
Head of the Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce Asadollah Asgaroladi said that Tehran and Moscow are studying the possibilities of opening a new chapter in trade relations that could break the domination of Western currencies over bilateral exchanges.
“Since Russian banks fear the implications of working with Iran due to sanctions, we want to establish the joint Iran-Russia bank with the help of our central banks and private sectors,” Asgaroladi said.
“Such a bank would be able to exchange money between the two sides using rials and rubles and put aside dollars, euros and pounds,” he added.
Unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran’s banking sector by the US and the European Union over Tehran’s nuclear energy program and the recent Western bans against Russia over Ukraine have prompted the two countries’ trade officials to boost economic cooperation.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have held four meetings on different occasions after the Iranian president took office in 2013.
“We are responsible for our nation’s prosperity. Before the sanctions, we had 150 billion euros of deposits in the banks of West and Europe. When they sanctioned us, we transferred the money to other countries exactly where they don’t want to be,” Asgaroladi said.
Iran’s Minister of Economy Ali Tayyeb-Nia said the Islamic Republic has already traded with some of its partners through the exchange of national currencies and will welcome the plan to establish the joint bank with Russia.
“I’m glad that our country is less dependent on several currencies and this process will continue in the future,” Tayyeb-Nia said.
In September, Iran and Russia agreed to use national currencies in bilateral trade.

Meet Belgium’s new Minister of Health!           ~ yup ! um hummm  OK  Oops  WTF Lol

Among several dictionary definitions of the word “irony” are these:
5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.
6. the incongruity of this.
Two days ago, on Oct. 11, 2014, at the Royal Palace in BrusselsMaggie De Block was sworn in as Belgium’s new Minister of Social Affairs and Health.
Maggie de Block, Health Minister
Maggie de Block, Health Minister

Oh, the irony. The irony.
Belgium’s new center-right government took office on Saturday, promising to raise the retirement age and slash costs by about 8 billion euros ($10 billion) to balance the national budget by 2018 and cut the country’s debt. (Source:Reuters)
52-year-old De Block entered politics in 1999 when she was elected a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the electoral district Brussels-Halle-Vilvoorde.
Before that, she was a general practitioner for 25 years after having studied medicine at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Double the irony!

RUSSIA AND CHINA IN FORMAL TALKS TO ESTABLISH AN ALTERNATIVE TO SWIFT FOR INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CLEARIN   ~ "we" got prob's folks these so~called "elites" ass pipes run~in things (west) r not only in~bred fucking crazies (& "their" lack~eeys) ..but "they "('elites') r crazy stupid !!!! :o & just how long  folks before "they" manage 2 pisssss the rest of the Planet (& off planet) ...off    hum ....we's going the wrong way folks ...it's just an matter of ...time  huh ?

Well…. it’s finally happening, and now, more or less official: Russia and China are in formal talks to establish an independent system of international financial clearing. Regular readers here know that this is a step that I’ve been advocating the BRICSA bloc in general and Russia and China in particular would inevitably take. Thus far, however, we have watched the indicators that this was happening, signaled by three things: (1) Russia’s stepped up plans to implement its own nationwide internal electronic clearing system, as an alternative to Visa and Mastercard, (2) its more recent requirement that Visa, if it wishes to continue doing business in Russia, has to build a clearing center in Russia, and finally (3) the BRICSA establishment of their own development bank in Shanghai as a counterpart to the IMF and World Bank.
All these things, I’ve argued, are the stages and steps to the establishment of a parallel system of international financial clearing, one that eventually the BRICSA bloc, and in particular, Russia and China, would eventually have to implement.
Now, the cat is out of the bag; it’s official(Thanks to Ms. C.Z. for sharing this important story):
Russia in Negotiation with China for alternative SWIFT Bank system
The article minces no words:
On September 10, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov met in Beijing with his Chinese counterparts to discuss setting up a system of interbank international transaction clearing that would replace or could, in event of increased US and EU sanctions, replace the SWIFT interbank payment mechanism. According to Shuvalov after his talks in Beijing he stated to the press, “Yes, we have discussed and we have approved this idea.”(Emphasis added)
You’ll note that this meeting took place a little over a month ago, and doubtless you’ll reflect that little or nothing was said by the lamestream Western media about this significant development.
But wait, there’s more, for interestingly enough, the real concern, as the article indicates, is to drive a wedge between Germany and Russia, the fourth and eighth largest economies in the world:
“Russia is reacting to the current escalating financial warfare being initiated via Washington economic sanctions against key leading Russians as part of the current Washington agenda of recreating the tensions and confrontations of the Cold War in their effort to drive a bloody wedge between the EU countries, especially Germany, and Russia. This past March, under strong US pressure, the EU unanimously adopted a series of sanctions against key Russian individuals close to President Putin. The sanctions came as a response to the independence referendum in Crimea in which the vast majority, some 93% of voters opted to request membership in the Russian Federation and secession from Ukraine.
But that’s still not all:
“The latest Beijing talks reveal that Moscow is not naïve about the intent of certain Washington circles to escalate the pressures on Russia to a new Cold or even Hot War. China and Russia are also in discussions around creation of a new international credit rating agency independent of the politically-manipulated US credit agencies, Moody’s and Standard & Poors. These moves between the two leading members of the Eurasian Shanghai Cooperation Council countries, and also the two major countries of the BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa—follow the decision this July in Brazil by all BRICS states to found an alternative to the Washington-controlled IMF and World Bank, creating a BRICS Infrastructure Bank and currency fund.
“Parallel to these moves to decouple from the chokehold of the dollar system, Russia and China are negotiating agreements to conduct major energy trade in their own currencies and not, as has been the accepted practice since the 1944 creation of Bretton Woods System, via the US dollar. Since August 1971 when President Nixon decided to break the legal tie between the US dollar and gold, US power has rested on a system where, whether the dollar rose or collapsed, all nations would be forced to trade using US dollars for oil, commodities and ordinary trade.
“When the Euro first challenged that “reserve currency” role of the US dollar after the 2008 financial crisis, Wall Street and the economic warfare unit of the Obama Administration, the Working Group on Financial Markets, known in Washington as the “Plunge Protection Team,” headed by the Secretary of the Treasury and including the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Chairman of the SEC and Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, coordinated what became the “Greek crisis,” de facto Washington and Wall Street full-scale financial warfare attack on the stability of the Euro, using the Federal Reserve, rating agencies, Wall Street-financed hedge fund speculators and the Treasury of the United States to create the Euro crisis. The dollar rose dramatically as a result and the Euroland economies have been devastated and weakened ever since.”  (Emphases added)
In other words, China and Russia are not stopping with international clearing, but rather, intend to put into place an entirely independent system of international credit rating to challenge the West’s monopoly here as well. And finally, you’ll note the concluding paragraph: the Greek crisis was – at least in the view of East Asia if not Russia as well – full scale American economic warfare against Europe and the euro, and that means, like it or not, that it was full scale economic warfare against the locomotive of Europe, Germany.
Small wonder then, that the German defense minister, Ursula von-der Was-ist-Irhe-Name, recently informed the rest of NATO that Germany would be unlikely to be able to meet any NATO contingencies or emergencies. That bit of news, coupled with this interesting bit of analysis, means that the midnight oil is probably burning in Berlin over these announcements.
So here’s the high octane speculation of the day: over the long term, as Germany continues to walk that typically German diplomatic tightrope, juggling and balancing East-West interests, one might expect, I imagine, for that country to begin quiet talks and negotiations to be able to participate in some capacity in those parallel systems of international clearing and credit rating. Time, of course, will tell, but it’s one to watch closely.

V for Vendetta (2005): Managed Dialectics

Let me take a little off the top!
Let me take a little off the top!
By: Jay
At first, I was going to engage in a lengthy, protracted analysis of the symbols and imagery of V for Vendetta, but I have changed my mind.  While it does contain a good bit of esoteric imagery and significant depth beyond most Hollywood trash, the meaning and purpose of the film is much simpler.  The film is based on the famous graphic novel by ritual magician and Crowley adept, Alan Moore.  While Moore is a talented artist and storyteller, the notion that his story is geared towards human liberation, as masses of ignorant fans assume, is laughable.  Fans and reviews offer a wide array of online speculation as to its meaning and imagery, but few will be able to decode it without understanding the ritual element, which I so often highlight.
V for Vendetta is a manifestation of sophisticated managed dialectics and ritual psychodrama that deludes the rebellious young pop mind into thinking it is part of an anti-establishment “V Mask” movement, known as anarchism.  True Satanism is anarchic, and certainly given the ridiculous, backwards “civilization” we live in, this is understandable.  Yet the solution to three hundred years of “revolutions” and full spectrum subversion can in no way be more of the same.  My friend Mark Hackard has highlighted this in his recent essay translation on monarchism and republicanism/democracy, and I commend readers to consider its import.  Political solutions are understandable, given that we are weary of past engineered attempts that ended in miserable failure – communism, fascism, and now world socialism/egalitarianism.  But the other option – anarchism, is no different, as it has the same starting point – universal human egalitarianism.  Ironically, anarchists tend to be the most elitist after a few years, recognizing their fellow cell members are dupes of larger foundation-run interests.
I do have a soft spot for anarchism, due to it being the ultimate high point of the left – they are the most likely to realize the vacuous nature of modernity.  Yet anarchism is a worldview of ultimate atomism, where the individual reigns supreme in a meaningless universe of self-imposed meaning.  This atomized, pseudo-ubermensch mentality is generally short-lived, as the entirety of one’s experience soon comes in to dispel this teenagey, mytholological fantasy worldview.  Anarchism is the worldview par excellence of the elite, as it is the most destructive.  Anarchism is chaos magick, intent on releasing the forces of destruction under a self-deluded belief in engineering a mass “dark night of the soul” to create the “New Man.”  It is the final manifestation of the revolutionary faith 1789 and 1776 began.  As an occultist, Moore is well aware of the effect such semiotic acts of aesthetic terror can have.  How quickly the intellectual leftist revolutionary realizes his comrades are morons, and then purges them.  Anarchism is therefore the fullest manifestation of Jacobin “lady liberty” living.  Yet Jacobin lady liberty living leads to self-destruction when taken to its fullest.   The chaos unleashed upon society comes home to roost in the lives of the “revolutionaries.”
Winston from 1984 becomes O'Brien.
Winston from 1984 becomes O’Brien.
So this is the real masonic mystagogy of V for Vendetta: V is Satan, as the graphic novel even states.  V initiates Evey, as a new Eve, into the cult of liberty. V utilizes all the same mind control techniques and torture the system uses to “free” Evey.  This is why Evey is “locked up” and has her head shaved, as we have seen with many Hollywood brainwashed starlets.  The cult of liberty is a harsh master, however, as absolute liberty is really absolute slavery to the passions.  Meanwhile the establishment in the film and novel is a far right establishment which persecutes homosexuality and tries to enforce Christianity as a state religion in the UK.  This is utterly laughable, except in the sense that the neo-conservative establishment in the US does wear a thin veneer of evangelical covering.  However, that is quickly wearing thin, and as the film is set in the near future where the US has collapsed and the UK is under a theocracy, its thesis is absurd.  As with other Wachowski films like The Matrix or Cloud Atlas, the message conveyed is that all law is slavery – even that of gender.  To be male or heterosexual is to be a slave to imposed social constructs, not to the fulfillment of natural order.  This transformation process is symbolized by Evey being shown with butterflies following her mind control torture.
Brittney?
Brittney?
From this perspective, we can also gain insight into the staged bio-release theme.  The plot revolves around a pharmaceutical establishment and political elite that have staged a bio-release to gain political power.  This aspect of the film does have contemporary esoteric significance, as that is what we are presently seeing in the US with the hyped Ebola fear.  As Jon Rappoport has shown, the tests for Ebola are themselves questionable at the least, and speak to older managed crises like AIDS and H1N1 that never delivered on their presaged apocalyptic doom.  However, don’t put it past the establishment to release a real bio-attack!   While that is yet to come, my analysis of the present Ebola crisis is that it is not what it is said to be, but rather, a cover for AFRICOM intervention as the hilarious Kony propaganda was.  And to further add to this point, Webster Tarpley has a reasonable thesis in his Synthetic Terror that Guy Fawkes himself was an agent of British intelligence who ran a false flag to frame Catholics as “terrorists.”  V, then, as Satan, is merely a ruse of managed anti-establishment rebellion that plays into the hands of the establishment like putty.  Prompting the V Mask wearing rebels in the populace to engage in terror acts only fuels the establishment’s designs.  Therefore, for V for Vendetta, I’m avoiding all the symbolism and esoterica and looking at the main point – managed, Hegelian dialectical faux rebellion. So put your mask on and grab your Dawkins and your comic books, the revolution will be televised! V is Hot Topic mall rebellion.
As Oswald Spengler stated:
“There is no proletarian, not even a Communist movement, that has not operated in the interests of money, and for the time being permitted by money – and that without the idealists among its leaders having the slightest suspicion of the fact.”
