(NaturalNews) Just as was predicted and described by InfoWars and Natural News, the LAPD has been caught red-handed committing premeditated arson and murder against homicide suspect Christopher Dorner.

The proof is in the police scanner audio which has now gone public. In this audio, LAPD officers are heard saying:

"We're gonna go forward with the plan with the burner."

"Like we talked about."

"Burners deployed, and we have a fire."

Repeated by dispatcher: "Burners deployed, and we have a fire."

"(unintelligible)...mission success."

"We have fire in the front. He might come out the back."

"Looks like it's starting to collapse."

"We're gonna start bringing fire in, about 200 yards out."

"Break 61 Lincon, 61 Charlie, you ready for fire?"

Infowars reporter Paul Joseph Watson also reported the following evidence:

In a separate clip carried by a local news channel, police are heard to say, "F#cking burn this motherf#cker," and "burn that f#cking house down." This audio appears to be from earlier in the siege following the initial shootout between Dorner and cops.

As the Guardian reports, tweets made by journalist Max Blumenthal, who was listening live to police scanner feeds, correlate with the audio from the YouTube clips.

Shortly after smoke was seen rising from the cabin, police ordered online scanner feeds to be cut having earlier barred networks like CNN from carrying live footage of the scene and telling journalists not to put out tweets.

LAPD caught in premeditated arson and murder

The evidence is now crystal clear: The LAPD knowingly planned and carried out an act of homicidal arson against a murder suspect. No attempt was made to arrest him. As Natural News has reported for several days, this was and always has been an execution operation against a former LAPD officer who obviously needed to be silenced at all costs.

Some of the idiotic online trolls who actually support all this don't get why this is such a powerful example of runaway law enforcement tyranny: The LAPD now operates as if it is judge, jury and executioner. No evidence has been presented to any court concerning the charges against Christopher Dorner. No trial has taken place. No sentence has been handed down by a judge. No jury has heard anything. This is an all-out premeditated murder by the LAPD of a murder suspect who the media had all but condemned to die.

What if they were all wrong? What if this was a setup? How do you know we aren't all being played? That's the whole point of an arrest and a trial, so that a man who stands accused has an opportunity to defend himself with evidence and testimony. I'm not saying Dorner is innocent, but how do we KNOW he isn't?

Keep in mind that during all this, the LAPD engaged in attempted murder of other innocent citizens by wildly firing into their vehicles and also ramming one man's vehicle with a police car. It's astonishing, actually, that nobody else was killed by the LAPD in their murderous rampage. This has all been a jaw-dropping example of LA police gone wild, abandoning all law and due process, and turning itself into an execution squad of armed, taxpayer-funded gang members.

As I have already pointed out in previous articles, during this manhunt, a typical LA citizen was more likely to be killed by the LAPD than by Dorner. The LAPD actually put far more people in harm's way than Dorner. After all, Dorner carefully selected his targets, but the LAPD was wildly shooting at seemingly anyone.

One more reason to get the hell out of California

Let it be known that law and due process have been completely abandoned in California. I know from investigating the "raw milk crimes" issue that both the LA County and Ventura County district attorneys are all exactly the same as the LAPD execution squad members: They operate completely outside of law, driven solely by revenge and personal vendettas against their selected enemies.

California has devolved into a Mad Max system of justice, where citizens have no rights, no trial and no due process. The police and the prosecutors have became the predatory aggressors, and it is they who are armed and dangerous, running around the city with itchy trigger fingers, dishing out "justice" at the end of a gun. This is now a verified fact.

The LAPD committed countless violations of state and federal law in this reckless, insane manhunt. Numerous LAPD officers deserve to be charged with attempted murder of innocent civilians. The entire police force has turned into a paramilitary terrorist organization that recognizes no law, no court system and no restraint. The LAPD, in essence, has become the enemy of the People.

And to think: State legislators want police to have ALL the guns

We are witnessing the collapse of civilized society and the rise of anarchy, with the LAPD leading the way in California. Think about where this is headed, folks: California legislators are working very hard right now to criminalize firearms ownership by private citizens. This is going to mean all the citizens will be disarmed while the raging execution squad known as the LAPD has a monopoly on guns.

What will the LAPD do with all that power over the people? Take a guess. "Burn that motherf#cker down" might give you a clue.

I was contemplating how many ways that we are under attack from the globalists and there are almost too many ways to count. Every aspect of our lives is under attack. I received a communication from a lady in northern Alaska and her remote community is being chemtrailed and Agenda 21 and ICLEI are running over the rights of her small community.  There is no escaping the tyranny even in the remote stretches of Alaska. After reviewing this brief summary of how many ways that we are under attack, I am certain that the readers will concur, there is nowhere to run or to hide from this oppressive tyranny that is sweeping across our country like a giant tsunami.

We are under attack from the skies and through the poisoning of our air through massive chemical spraying complete with Alzheimer’s and dementia causing aluminum sulfate and cancer causing barium. Fukashima radiation, Corexit spraying and the resulting toxic rain from the Gulf oil spill is running rampant over our country and not one ounce of mainstream media coverage is afforded to these dangers. Prevention and remediation from these dangers are not put into place by our present government.

Our water is being systematically removed from the country by companies like Nestle, and our water tables are being systematically compromised by environmental toxins and of course many Americans are consuming water permeated with IQ-lowering rocket fuel (i.e., fluoride).

Our food is being poisoned through the rampant use of cancer-causing MSG products, and the unlabeled, unregulated and cancer-causing Monsanto GMO’s.

Under the guise of fighting terrorism, Americans are now facing illegal detention, torture and murder. The Military Commissions Act and the John Warner Defense Authorization Act. The average citizen is now labeled as a terrorist by Homeland Security as their inspired documents, such as the MIAC Report, define domestic terrorism as the mere act of criticizing our governmental leaders, supporting Ron Paul, being a Libertarian, being a member of the Constitution Party, being a Second Amendment supporter and demanding that our leaders follow the Constitution. By virtue of the fact that you have visited this web site, you could now be considered to be a domestic terrorist.

Our national sovereignty and manufacturing base has been destroyed through NAFTA and CAFTA which has resulted in totally open borders culminating in the overwhelming of our infrastructure, hospital emergency rooms and our educational institutions by the human onslaught which will be soon be at unprecedented levels which promise to bring 150 million additional immigrants to our country by 2040. Where will the funds to build the needed infrastructure come from.

Obama’s administration has openly engaged in human smuggling as well as drug and gun trafficking to criminal cartels, in programs such as “Fast and Furious.” Bush and Obama have illegally entered America into the sovereignty snatching SPP through the implementation of the North American Union.

Our property rights and water rights as well as our right to farm in traditional ways are being destroyed through the implementation of the pseudo-environmentalist, Agenda 21 programs at the local level. As a result, massive food shortages and outright famines are right around the corner.

America is being de-industrialized through the global warming scam and the accompanying illegal cap and trade schemes. Meanwhile, as the New York Times reports, Ugandan villages are being burned down and replaced with trees in the name of saving the planet through carbon offset programs. This insane application of carbon trading is now being enforced by American military boots on the ground in Uganda. Next year, you will see roving blackouts and the doubling of utility rates as Obama makes good on his campaign promise of “necessarily skyrocketing utility rates.”

Americans will soon be subjected to the death panels of Obama care in which citizens over the age of 70 are officially referred to as “units” and are targeted for comfort care but not given life saving measures. This is an undeniable, unmitigated and naked version of Eugenics cast in the same flavor as that practiced by Margaret Sanger and Adolph Hitler.

In the meantime, our youth are under attack through mercury laden vaccines which also contains the immune system destroying properties of the flu vaccine adjuvants of MF 59, Squaylene and now we find that the active ingredient for Lyme disease is in the patent for the current flu vaccine. One in 58 boys are now autistic courtesy of the pollutants in the vaccines.

America is now witnessing the final stages of the installation of a police state surveillance grid through the creation and installation of video cameras and microphones in the Homeland Security funded Intellistreet light poles. The National Security Administration listens to our every call, their computers read every email and fax, courtesy of Echelon. Americans are being encouraged, by Big Sis, to spy on another as we purchase the Chinese slave labor products at Walmart.

Our homes are being stolen through the use of fraudulent MERS robo signers and illegal repossessions without the mortgage note in order that the six mega banks can double and triple their illegitimate profits off each home they are able to steal and resell again and again.

Americans have previously discovered that the Federal Reserve (i.e., Goldman Sachs) is giving our money away to their private banking interests, (aka) their subsidiary holdings, in Europe. Additionally, more of our money has been stolen with the complicit participation of ex-Goldman Sachs federal government overseers like Gary Gensler who has failed to deliver even one indictment of his ex-Goldman Sachs partner, John Corzine, and his MF Global theft ring resulting for the “loss” of $3 billion dollars in private accounts. John Corzine and his governmental partner in crime, Gary Gensler, have established the legal precedent of stealing from private American accounts. The net effect is that YOU have no retirement. YOU have no social security. YOU have no bank account. Soon, everything YOU own will all belong to the banksters! And just when you think it cannot get any worse, on August 9th of 2012, and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals (CCA) ruled that once a customer deposits their money into a bank, the bank can do what they please with that account including engaging in the theft of the depositors money.

Our “public servants” in Congress (e.g., Nancy Pelosi) self-admittedly, on 60 Minutes, routinely engage in stock market insider trading which they have made legal for themselves, but would send you to prison for doing the same.

Every day, the TSA conducts heinous acts against the American people, such as strip searching and injuring 85 year old ladies, grabbing the genitals of our children and wives and largely engaging in acts which, if performed by you, would land you in jail for five years. Your body and your self-respect belong to the globalists and their minions.

Even with all of these hideous events now hiding in plain sight, I have never called for a revolution against our increasingly illegitimate government, or, should I say against the banksters who have hijacked our Republic, until now. There are so many more heinous acts being committed against the American people that it is difficult to count all the ways that tyranny is being installed in America. Even Ray Charles could see the depth and scope of this all out war which has been declared on all of us.

Our Congress has an all-time low 9% approval rating and as a result, Congress has taken up sides with those who would exterminate most and enslave the remainder of us with the new indefinite detention bill, NDAA. Worse yet, the evidence is clear that many Americans have been the victim of mind control techniques and the plans are in the works to micro-chip every citizen, thus, making mind control absolute and a permanent part of the American landscape.

Very soon, we will live in an America in which the government can declare peaceful dissent, a terrorist activity, and the failure to comply to globalists’ trickle down tyranny as an act of terror in which YOU are subject to secret arrest, torture and even murder. The dead spirits of Mao, Stalin and Hitler are coalescing in the hall of congress and you are their newest target! These congressional criminals have declared war on you and your families. Many of our countrymen have been given a death sentence, but are sadly oblivious to the new place in history that we all occupy. The finishing touches of the establishment of a tyrannical government are being put into play as I write these words.

Many of you, because of your political and moral advocacy, have a bull’s eye on your back. As with all patterns of tyranny from Stalin to Hitler to Mao, the chess pieces have been laid into place for your final demise. The police state grid is in place as are the FEMA death camps. WWIIII could soon be upon us. They will be coming for your guns under the coming martial law which will accompany the coming war. As with all tyrannical governments which confiscate guns, they will be coming for you following the disarming of the American people. Read your history! The playbook of the globalists is located in your former 10th grade World History books. This is the unmistakable pattern of tyranny!!!

While in the Soviet Gulag Alexsandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn and his fellow victims, lamented that they did not mount a resistance when the Secret Police came and dragged people out of their homes and sent them to Siberia. We will likely be faced with the same choice.

In short, they are the modern day version of the money changers that Jesus chased from the Temple.

To the police and the military that are going to be told to enforce this globalist, tyrannical takeover and subsequent subjugation of America, I ask all of you: Which side of history will you be on? Are you going to mindlessly obey the soon-to-be illegitimate orders emanating from these despots, or, are you going to uphold your sworn oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic? Do you really think that your military retirements and police pensions are going to be waiting for you when your tyrannical deeds are done? Again, Mr. Law enforcement official read your history.

What did Hitler do with the very people who helped him gain control over the German government? The simple answer is that Hitler killed all of them without blinking an eye. If you, as a law enforcement official or member of the military obey these banksters and minions, you better hope that this globalist takeover is successful and complete.For if the real terrorists on this planet are not successful in gaining absolute control over America, there will be nowhere that you can hide if you commit despotic acts against our fellow Americans. Is It Fair For People On Food Stamps To Buy Prime Rib And Lobster While Working Families Barely Survive?

Should we all quit working and jump on board the Obama gravy train?  Of course I am being facetious, but when you are barely surviving does there come a point when it just becomes easier to give up and totally rely on the government?  Today, the federal government runs nearly 80 different means-tested welfare programs, and many state and local governments have their own welfare programs on top of that.  If you become an expert on those programs and you learn how to game the system, can you live more comfortably than someone that lives honestly and works as hard as they can and yet still makes less than 10 dollars an hour?  Now, right from the outset of this article, let me make it abundantly clear that I do not believe that most people are abusing the system.  As I have written about over and over, the number of Americans living in poverty is rapidly increasing because there are not enough jobs.  There are not enough jobs because we are shipping millions of them out of the country to the other side of the globe, and we are also losing millions of jobs to technology.  There have always been those that need our help, and because of the foolish decisions that we have made as a nation, the ranks of the poor will continue to expand.  But it is also true that there are some people out there that are very brazenly abusing the system.  For example, is it really fair for people on food stamps to buy prime rib and lobster while many working families barely survive?  People like that are taking advantage of their fellow Americans, and they are making it harder for the people that really need the help to be able to get it.
Unfortunately, we are rapidly becoming an "entitlement society".  Close to half the country lives in a home that receives some sort of monetary benefits from the federal government each month at this point.
In particular, the food stamp program has experienced explosive growth in recent years.  Since Obama has been president, the number of Americans on food stamps has grown by more than 49 percent, and more than 11,000 people a day have enrolled in the food stamp program since Obama entered the White House.
And if you can believe it, the number of Americans on food stamps now exceeds the entire population of Spain.
Will we all eventually be on food stamps?
Actually, the truth is that there are millions upon millions of hard working American families that are desperately trying to make it on their own and that don't want to become financial dependents of the federal government.  Unfortunately, it can be a little disheartening when you are barely making it from month to month and yet you see others using government benefit cards to buy luxury items.
The other day my wife came across a discussion on Facebook that really caught her attention.  I thought that I would share with you all the post that got that discussion going.  As far as I can determine, this woman shared what she believed she actually saw at her local grocery store, but I have no way of determining if this story is true or not.  But I have seen quite a few similar stories of food stamp abuse in the past.  Either way, I think the following story will be good to help spark a conversation about whether our current system is broken or not.  All of the names have been removed so as to protect the identity of the woman that originally posted this on Facebook...

Okay...so, I'm going to go on a rant for a minute...just to get it off my chest...

**** & I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things because we were getting low...sooo, we pick up our 40% off chicken and buy one get two free items and proceed to checkout.

There is a woman ahead of us with a child about 4 years old. The woman, I couldn't help but notice....had beautiful fingernails, clearly professionally done...and I also noticed her brand new IPHONE...which she was talking on, and I think that is rude while you are being checked out. Her little girl was commenting on the TWO live lobsters in a bag on the checkout, asked if it was going to hurt when they get cooked, her mom brushed her off...at that time I took a look at what else she had on the counter...A HUGE roast, sirloin tips, shrimp, beef ribs and pork ribs...only the prime cuts... I thought to myself....mmmmmm someone is having a yummy dinner and must have a great job as I could not afford these things (not that I'd get my nails done anyway)....

So...the cashier gives her a total and what does she pull out of her wallet but a BENEFIT card!!!!!!! I had all I could do to contain myself...

Sometimes people need help, and I'm okay with that, and those who need it should get it....BUT...if you can afford the latest IPHONE and fancy nails then why in the world are the taxpayers paying for your LOBSTER?!!!! If she really needed help and food, she should have been buying the "sale" items...40% off chicken, buy one get one free cheese ravioli...you know, like the rest of us working class have to buy!

It especially makes me mad because there ARE PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP and can't get it...My son and his girlfriend and brand new baby aren't eligible for an ounce of help...they tried, she works days and he works nights so that they don't have to pay for day-care, they use inexpensive diapers and try to save money anyway they can, they struggle to make ends meet and to pay for their straight talk phones and to boot are paying off college loans...but they supposedly make too much...c'mon, really, he works at McDonalds and she works in a nursing home...lets be real here...those are the type that SHOULD get help...UGHHHH Our system is broken and something needs to be done about it!!!

In response to her story, dozens of people posted comments.  Quite a few people said that they had seen similar things where they lived.

So is this kind of thing fair?
If not, what can be done about it?
What everybody can agree upon is that the number of food stamp recipients is absolutely exploding.  The following is from a recent CNS news article...

When Obama entered office in January 2009 there were 31,939,110 Americans receiving food stamps.  As of November 2012—the most recent data available—there were 47,692,896 Americans enrolled, an increase of 49.3 percent.

But this didn't just start under Obama.  Back in the year 2000, there were just 17 million Americans on food stamps.
30 million more have been added to the program since then.
And of course food stamps is not the only federal welfare program that is being abused.
According to the Wall Street Journal, there has been a tremendous amount of abuse in the free cell phone program as well.

The U.S. government spent about $2.2 billion last year to provide phones to low-income Americans, but a Wall Street Journal review of the program shows that a large number of those who received the phones haven't proved they are eligible to receive them.
The Lifeline program—begun in 1984 to ensure that poor people aren't cut off from jobs, families and emergency services—is funded by charges that appear on the monthly bills of every landline and wireless-phone customer. Payouts under the program have shot up from $819 million in 2008, as more wireless carriers have persuaded regulators to let them offer the service.

A lot of people refer to those free cell phones as "Obamaphones", but the truth is that the program has been going on for a long time.  It just has accelerated greatly under Obama.
So what is the solution to all of this?
Well, what we really need are a lot more jobs, but in the State of the Union address last night Obama simply rehashed a lot of the same tired proposals that he and our former presidents have been promoting for years.
If we continue to do the same things that we have been doing, we are going to continue to get the same results.
There is a reason why the percentage of the civilian labor force in the United States that is employed has been steadily declining every single year since 2006.  We keep pursuing foolish policies, and those policies are steadily destroying our economy.
Sadly, many of our politicians appear to be engaged in some form of "doublethink".  The things that they tell us will solve our problems are actually the things that are making our problems even worse.
For example, Barack Obama says that we need even more "free trade agreements" and that we need to integrate our economy into the emerging one world economic system even more deeply.
But as I have shown in article after article, the "free trade" agenda of the global elite has resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of U.S. businesses and millions of good paying U.S. jobs.

And of course Obama once promised that he would never "rest" until he had fixed our employment problems, but that hasn't exactly been the truth either.  The following is from a recent article by Dan Gainor...

Back in 2009, the president promised never to "rest" until the job situation was fixed. Nearly four years later, he's done a lot of resting.
According to The Weekly Standard, Pres. Obama has had 83 vacation days overall and Factcheck.org says he took 26 of those in 2009. That means the president has taken at least 57 vacation days since his vow not to "rest."

But hey, he needs his rest.  Life is rough.  U.S. taxpayers only spend about a billion dollars a year on the Obamas.  How is he supposed to scrape by on such limited resources?
Meanwhile, Americans are still incredibly pessimistic about the economy.  The following is what one recent survey found...

• Eight in 10 Americans are skeptical that career and employment opportunities will be better for the next generation.
• More than half of Americans say the economy will not fully recover from the 2007-2009 recession for another six years; 29% believe the economy will never fully recover.
• 73% of Americans were directly impacted by the recession: individuals surveyed had either lost a job themselves or a family member/close relative had been out work because of the economic downturn.
• The majority of survey participants said college would become unaffordable for most young Americans.
• 56% reported having fewer savings than before the recession.
• More than half of those who were laid off or lost a job said they cut back on medical treatment or doctor visits.
• 40% of Americans have borrowed money from family or friends.
• Nearly 25% of participants said they have sought professional help for stress or depression.

And as you can see from the charts in this article, U.S. businesses remain very pessimistic about the future of the economy as well.
Unfortunately, those that are pessimistic about the economy have very good reasons to be so.
And as bad as things are right now, they are going to be getting much, much worse.
That means that millions more Americans are going to be wanting to sign up for food stamps and other welfare programs.
But what will happen someday when the safety net breaks and all of those welfare programs start getting cut back dramatically?
What kind of riots will we see in major U.S. cities when the international community insists that the U.S. implement its own version of "austerity" in response to a massive debt crisis?
Will we eventually end up just like Greece and Spain or even worse?

Report Confirms Food Corps Using Junk, Misleading Science to Protect Profits

Thanks in part to pumping millions upon millions into lobbying the government in order to prevent legislation that would help to protect the public and ‘building relationships with health organizations’, The Indepdendent reports that multinational ‘Big Food’ corporations have been getting away with what could be argued as literal murder through the onset of chronic disease as a result of pushing their dangerous products on the public without restraint.

Corporations Using Junk Science to Protect Profits

The report states that these Big Food corporations are using techniques extremely similar to those utilized by Big Tobacco companies who sought to use fake ‘science’ in order to claim that cigarettes were not the cause of disease in order to secure profits. Tactics that are similar to those used by the author of the debunked study claiming that organic was the ‘same’ as non-organic, Ingram Olkin, a Stanford scientist who actually developed the ‘Dr. Ingram Olkin multivariate Logistic Risk Function’, the function was used by Big Tobacco to skew statistics. 
The “multivariate” statistical algorithm has been dubbed a way to ‘lie with statistics’. As one page on the subject described, “Obviously, if one chooses convenient mathematical functions, the result may not conform to reality.”

Published in The Lancet, the report is sure to garner the negative attention of many corporations like PepsiCo and likely be attacked on all fronts by phony ‘corporate scientists’ that seek only to push phony science. Led by adventurous researcher Professor Rob Moodie, of the University of Melbourne in Australia, the findings even list certain multinational corporations like Kraft, Nestlé, Mars and Unilever and their impacts on consumers around the world. Moodie states that the top 10 largest companies now have control of over 15 percent of all food sales, with over 75% of said ‘food’ being heavily processed foods.

Report: Corporations Spend Millions to Distort Research, Deceive Consumers, Lobby Government

Sodas, fast food burgers and pizzas, biscuits, and processed snack foods being sold from these companies are seeing surges in low-income countries, which the report highlights as the focus for many junk food corporations. Furthermore, the write-up speaks out against the serious lack of progress being made on the subject. The report states:

“There is little objective evidence that public-private partnerships deliver health benefits, and many in the public-health field argue that they are just a delaying tactic of the unhealthy commodity industries”

Writers go on to call out corporations for spending millions to distort research, deceive customers, and lobby politicians to keep their mouths shut. For many readers, this comes as no surprise. The sad reality, however, is that many consumers continue to believe the junk science put out by corporations and even embrace it vehemently to justify their food addictions. To admit that the corporation is deceiving customers with junk science is to admit that they have been tricked, which is hard for many to come to terms with.
As a result, they instead cling to the rhetoric put out by the companies to resist the feeling that they have been fooled. It is similar to many people who fall victim to E-mail scammers requesting bank wires from other nations, often sending hundreds of thousands of dollars in finances with the small hope that they may someday be paid back as the scammer promises.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but many are becoming privy to the reality of human nature. If the companies actually admitted that their ingredients were dangerous and made beneficial adjustments, they would be admitting that they had caused disease among consumers. Lawsuits would ensue through a class action format, and competing companies would be held accountable as well. In fact, if the government were competent in protecting against things like GMOs and artificial sweeteners instead of high calorie counts and saturated fat, this could be done through legislation.
But let’s talk about the ‘big offenders’ that the report talks about.

The Big Offenders

The report details many of the big junk food offenders, a couple of which you may not be entirely aware of due to their British roots.
PepsiCo: In addition to putting high-fructose corn syrup in their sodas and using artificial sweeteners for their diet alternatives, Pepsi spent a whopping 9 million dollars lobbying the government via the United States Congress in order to keep selling consumers unregulated junk. They even spent $547,700 funding candidates for federal office through a third party organization in order to secure politicians who will secure their agenda. Thanks, Pepsi.
Tesco: This is Britain’s biggest retailer. Tesco spent a total of five years and 4 million Euros making sure that labels indicative of nutritional values were not placed on food items, knowing full well that their products would sell less due to extremely worthless nutritional content.
SAB Miller: The Lancet findings report that SAB Miller continues to look out for industry interests over public health, being instrumental in writing the very policies regarding the control of alcohol for public health.

Obama’s Expanding Kill List

Prosecutors always expand laws far beyond their intent. Attorneys in civil cases do the same. For example, the 1970 Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act was passed in order to make it easier for the government to convict members of the Mafia.

However, the law, despite its intent, was quickly expanded by prosecutors and attorneys and used in cases against pro-life activists, Catholic bishops, corporations accused of hiring illegal immigrants, and in divorce cases. “Junk bond king” Michael Milken, a person with no ties to organized crime, was threatened with indictment under the RICO Act. Prosecutors have found that the asset freeze provision in the Act is a convenient way to prevent a defendant from being able to pay attorneys and, therefore, makes it easier for prosecutors to coerce innocent defendants into a guilty plea.

We are now witnessing the expansion of Obama’s Kill List. The list began under the Bush regime as a rationale for murdering suspect citizens of countries with which the US was not at war. The Obama regime expanded the scope of the list to include the execution, without due process of law, of US citizens accused, without evidence presented in court, of association with terrorism.

The list quickly expanded to include the American teen-age son of a cleric accused of preaching jihad against the West. The son’s “association” with terrorism apparently was his blood relationship to his father.

As Glenn Greenwald recently wrote, the power of government to imprison and to murder its citizens without due process of law is the certain mark of dictatorship. Dictatorship is government unconstrained by law. On February 10 the Wall Street Journal revealed that the Obama dictatorship now intends to expand the Kill List to include those accused of acting against foreign governments. Mokhtar Belmokhtar, an “Algerian militant” accused of planning the January attack on an Algerian natural gas facility, has been chosen as the threat that is being used to expand Obama’s Kill List to include participants in the internal disputes and civil wars of every country.

If the Obama regime is on the side of the government, as in Algeria, it will kill the rebels opposing the government. If the Obama regime is on the side of the rebels, as in Libya, it will kill the government’s leaders. Whether Washington sends a drone to murder Putin and the president of China remains to be seen. But don’t be surprised if Washington has targeted the president of Iran.

The elasticity of the Kill List and its easy expansion makes it certain that Washington will be involved in extra-judicial executions of those “associated with terrorism” over much of the world. Americans themselves should be alarmed, because the term “association with terrorism” is very elastic. Federal prosecutors have interpreted the term to include charitable contributions to Palestinians.

The next time former US Representative Cynthia McKinney gets on an aid ship to Palestine, will Washington give the green light to Israel to kill her as a terrorist agent for her association with aid to Gaza, ruled by the “terrorist organization,” Hamas?

Already a year or two ago, the director of Homeland Security said that the federal police agency’s focus had shifted from terrorists to “domestic extremists,” another elastic and undefined term. A domestic extremist will be all who disagree with Washington. They also, are headed for the Kill List.

Where is the government going with this?  The most likely outcome is that everyone disliked or distrusted by those who have the power to add to the Kill List will find themselves on the list. The government can expand the Kill List beyond the original intent as easily as the RICO Act was expanded beyond its original intent.

As the Founding Fathers knew and the American people have forgot, no one is safe in a dictatorship.

Clearly, the American public lacks sufficient comprehension to remain a free people. All indications are that the large majority of Americans fear alleged terrorists in distant lands more than they fear their government’s acquisition of dictatorial powers over them–powers that allow government to place itself above the law and to be unaccountable to law. This is despite the fact that 99.999% of all Americans will never, ever, experience any terrorism except that of their own government.

According to a recent poll of registered American voters, 75% approve of Washington’s assassination of foreign citizens abroad based on suspicion that they might be terrorists, despite the fact that the vast majority of the Gitmo detainees, declared by the US government to be the most dangerous men on earth, turned out to be totally innocent. Registered voters have a different view of the extra-judicial murder of US citizens. In what the rest of the world will see as further evidence of American double-standards, 48% believe it is illegal for Washington to murder US citizens without due process of law. However, 24% agree with the Obama regime that it is permissible for the government to murder its own citizens on accusation alone without trial and conviction of a capital crime. Are we to be reassured or alarmed that 24% of registered voters believe that the terrorist threat is so great that suspicion alone without evidence, trial, and conviction is sufficient for Washington to terminate US citizens?  Should not we be disturbed that a quarter of registered voters, despite overwhelming evidence that Washington’s wars are based on conscious lies–”weapons of mass destruction,” “Al-Qaeda connections”–are still prepared to believe the government’s claim that the person it just murdered was a terrorist? Why are so many Americans willing to believe a proven liar?

If we add up all the costs of the “war on terror,” it is obvious that the costs are many magnitudes greater than the terror threat that the war is alleged to contain. If terrorists were really a threat to Americans, shopping centers and electric substations would be blowing up constantly. Airport security would be a sham, because terrorists would set off the bombs in the crowded lines waiting to clear security. Traffic would be continually tied up from roofing nails dispensed on all main roads in cities across the country for each rush hour. Water supplies would be poisoned. Police stations would be bombed and police officers routinely terminated on the streets. Instead, nothing has happened despite Washington’s killing and displacement of huge numbers of Muslims in seven or eight countries over the past 11 years.

The cost of the “war on terror” is not merely the multi-trillion dollar financial bill documented by Joseph Stiglitz and Linda Bilmes. The cost of Washington’s wars is the main reason for the large national debt, the threat of which politicians are using to destroy the social safety net. This is a huge cost for a pointless war that pleases Israel and enriches the armament companies but does nothing for Americans.

The financial cost is huge, but how important is this cost compared to another cost–the domestic police state supported by a significant percentage of the population and a majority in Congress and the media? Is the war on terror worth the evisceration of the US Constitution?  A war that costs us the Constitution means our total defeat.

The cost in human life has been enormous. Millions of Muslims have been killed, wounded, orphaned, and displaced, and entire countries have been destroyed as socio-political entities. Washington locked Iraq in sectarian murder. Libya has no government, just warring factions, and now Syria is in the process of being disintegrated. The prospects for people’s lives in these countries have been ruined for years to come.

The cost in American lives has also been high. More than 400,000 American lives have been adversely affected by 11 years of pointless war. The deaths of 6,656 US troops, the 50,000 wounded, the 1,700 life-changing limb amputations, and the suicides http://www.globalresearch.ca/record-numbers-of-us-military-and-veteran-suicides/5322544  are just the tip of the iceberg. Since the Bush-Obama wars began, 129,731 US troops have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. And now we learn from a new Congressional Research Service report that more than a quarter million of US troops have experienced Traumatic Brain Injury. These lost, ruined and impaired lives affect also the lives of many others–spouses, children, parents, siblings, and those disheartened by their government’s pointless wars who have to care for the damaged.  There are many Americans who have been collaterally damaged by Washington’s pointless wars.

Will Americans wake up in time?  I wish I could answer, “yes,” but I regret that Americans are an insouciant people. They are unaware.  Americans are more concerned with sports events, sales, and which celebrities are sleeping together than they are with their liberty. Washington can create a police state, because there are insufficient citizens with the intelligence, education, and awareness to stop Washington.

Congress has accepted the police state and has given up too much of its power to the executive branch and is too beholden to the special interests that benefit from the police state to do anything about it.

The federal judiciary has proven to be almost as impotent. Federal judges did not ask federal prosecutors why, in violation of the whistleblower protection laws, they were prosecuting National Security Agency senior executive Thomas Drake for blowing the whistle on the NSA’s illegal spying on US citizens instead of the officials who broke the law and committed felonies.  Judges did not ask why CIA agent John Kiriakou was prosecuted for blowing the whistle on the torture program instead of those who committed crimes by authorizing and committing torture. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article33894.htm

The innocent and the truth-tellers were prosecuted. The criminals and the liars were not.

The destruction of truth and the law in the US is the legacy of 9/11. Both conservatives and the left-wing have bought into the government’s preposterous story that a few Saudi Arabians, unsupported by any government or intelligence agency, outwitted every institution of the National Security State and inflicted the most humiliating blow against a superpower in human history. They buy into this story despite unequivocal evidence that WTC building 7 came down at free fall speed, an event that can only occur as a result of controlled demolition.

But evidence and expert testimony no longer have authority in the US, which now has its own form of Lysenkoism.

Lysenko was a quack Soviet scientist, a charlatan who successfully persecuted Soviet geneticists for “setting themselves against Marxism” by not having a Marxist theory of genetics. Soviet geneticists were arrested and executed for being “against the people.” Even the world famous Soviet geneticist, Nikolai Vavilov, was arrested and died in prison.

Americans don’t know any more about physics and structural architecture and engineering that the Soviet population and Stalin knew about genetics. Today “Lysenkoism” is used as a metaphor to denote the corruption of science in behalf of a social, political, or ideological purpose.

Lysenko used lies to gain power, just as Ponzi scheme operators use lies to gain wealth. Power is an Aphrodisiac, and everyone in Washington wants it.  All indications are that they have it.

New Report: Brennan’s ‘Black Ops’ In Libya Caused “Benghazigate”, Stevens Death

Benghazigate’ continues to unravel, and the man who’s front and center at this week’s Washington DC hearings is now being blamed for the villa siege last September…
According to a new investigative book published by two former US special operations soldiers, and serialised exclusively in yesterday’s Daily Mail, former CIA Director, David Petraeus, was blackmailed by two senior CIA officers into resigning and was made to publicly admit to his affair with intelligence operative Paula Broadwell. Of course, this angle of the story will surely drive book sales, but it’s not the most significant revelation in the story…

Drone-Master J: John Brennan

In their book which is due to be release tomorrow entitled, Benghazi: The Definitive Report, authors Jack Murphy (Army Green Beret) and co-author Brandon Webb (Navy SEAL and friend of Glen Doherty who died in the Benghazi siege) also revealed that ‘Drone-Master J’, John O. Brennan - President Barack Obama’s current CIA Director nominee who was the President’s own deputy NSA advisor at the time, had been authorizing covert ‘unilateral operations outside of the traditional command structure’, using the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) across Libya and North Africa. It is Brennan’s black ops that are said to have prompted retaliation inside Libya that led to the September 11 Benghazi compound siege that killed four Americans, including ‘Ambassador’ Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
It’s worth noting here that the Benghazi siege was initially blamed by Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and the entire US media and the BBC at the time – on a highly deceptive YouTube film entitled, “The Innocence of Muslims”. That was the first stages of the cover-up.
So, according to the new book, it’s John O. Brennan who was the architect of events that led to the debacle known as Benghazigate? Apparently, yes, but not quite…
Murphy and Webb’s book, although very hard-hitting and well-researched, through what the authors describe as “a vast network of military insiders and intelligence officers to uncover the ‘untold’ story behind the attacks”,focuses on the Petraeus Affair, but only provides surface detail on the actual nature of US Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’s mission there in Libya.
Nor do the authors explain that the compound in question was not an “Embassy” in Benghazi as the Obama White House first referred to it, nor was it a “US Consulate”, or a “CIA safe house” as came to be known in later reports. Susanne Posel of OccupyCorporatism.com, reports what is more likely to be the real story:

“In Benghazi, Stevens stayed at a gated-villa, leased by the US State Department from a local man named Mohammad al-Bishari. The villa in Benghazi was not a US Embassy, diplomatic mission or extension of the embassy. In fact, the nearest US Embassy is Tripoli. This location housed Stevens where he spoke with the NTC, a defaco-government in Libya that assisted the US in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
Stevens had previously been designated as a special representative to the NTC during the US-controlled Libyan revolution. To mask Stevens new role, he was given US Ambassador status by Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, and stationed in Tripoli.
Bishari has confirmed that Stevens would stay at the villa when he met with the NTC. Stevens’ mission in Benghazi was to gather intelligence for the CIA “conducting surveillance and collecting information on an array of armed militant groups in and around the city.”

Hand in the honey pot: Petraeus and Broadwell.

According to The Mail story, Petraeus’s ousters were,’high-level career officers on the CIA who got the ball rolling on the investigation’. The Mail exclusive goes on to explain how the Petraeus story unfolded and triggered a ‘palace coup’:

“The authors say that senior intelligence officers working on the 7th floor of Central Intelligence headquarters in Langley, Virginia, used their political clout to ensure that the FBI investigated the former Army general’s personal life.
They then told Petraeus that they would publicly humiliate him if he didn’t admit the affair and resign.
‘It was well known to Petraeus’s Personal Security Detachment (bodyguards) that he and Broadwell were having an affair. He wasn’t the only high-ranking Agency head or general engaged in extramarital relations, but when the 7th floor wanted Petraeus out, they cashed in their chips,’ Webb and Murphy write.
The book continues: ‘The reality of the situation is that high-ranking CIA officers had already discovered the affair by consulting with Petraeus’s PSD and then found a way to initiate an FBI investigation in order to create a string of evidence and an investigative trail that led to the information they already had—in other words, an official investigation that could be used to force Petraeus to resign.’
… Senior officials were furious over the way he had been running the agency since he was appointed in September 2011… He was turning the agency’s focus from intelligence gathering and analysis to paramilitary operations, including drone strikes.”

What they reveal about the Petraeus scandal is that the sensational extramarital affair was deployed in the media in order to keep the public distracted from the real story.
Chris Stevens and CIA gun-running
According to the Daily Mail, Webb and Murphy’s book does document that “Stevens likely helped consolidate as many weapons as possible after the war to safeguard them, at which point Brennan exported them overseas to start another conflict”.
Although both authors, who run a website called SOFREP.com - a news site written and edited by current and former members of the special operations community, appear to be ‘well-positioned’ to access classified insider information about events and a ‘vast network’ of contacts in the game, they could have gone a lot deeper into what are now mainstream allegations: that Chris Stevens was CIA point man for running illegal guns out of Libya via Turkey into Syria for the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Even Kentucky Senator Rand Paul challenged Hillary Clinton on these charges, but was stonewalled by the outgoing Secretary of State.
The book says that Stevens was aiding John Brennan in highly illegal international gun-running, a fact alone that should (in theory, anyway) kill Brennan in the CIA directorate conformation hearings this week in Washington DC. It’s amazing how this aspect of the story is given a back seat to a sex scandal – which makes us suspicious of this book, and its peculiar timing.
Posel also explains Stevens role as CIA gun-runner:

“Some of Stevens’ deals for arms can be realized in the artillery and weapons being funneled to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Syria who are fighting the proxy war for the US. Stevens became the “liaison” between US-sponsored terrorist factions and the movement of arms to Syria to assist the FSA.
Shipments to the FSA have come from Saudi Arabia where the Salafi terrorists originated and the Partisans of Sharia is used to further subversive interests. Thanks to the US, the Saudi government and Stevens, the FSA are the most heavily armed state-sponsored jihadist group in the Middle East.
In reality, Islamic terrorist factions that work with the US were employed by the Saudi Arabian government to take out one of Petraeus’ CIA spies. That spy’s name was J. Christopher Stevens.”

Chemical Weapons to Syria
The other obvious and very big aspect of this story which they also miss, is the very visible thread which first appeared in early Dec 2012 of reports ‘chemical weapons in Syria’, and these are likely to have originated in Libya – in the form of Gadaffi’s aging chemical weapons stocks being smuggled out of Libya and into the hands of the FSA in Syria… in order to blame Syria Assad government for using “chemical weapons against his own people”.
In late December, the US intelligence community, via the US General Console in Istanbul, Turkey, appears to have set-up the thread for the Assad chemical weapons story to go public, but quickly began to back track on this talking point, practically abandoning it altogether in the end.
In ‘Benghazi: The Definitive Report’, it does appear that the authors have opened up the door to some incredible and perhaps crucial insights into events surrounding Benghazigate – and their book will make a big media splash but it seems like black-ops ‘insiders’ Murphy and Webb missed the biggest story in all of this – which just happens to be the very scandal that would certainly bring down the Obama Administration in one swoop. Amazing how these events are borne out - and not borne out in the media, as the case may be.
More and more these days, we see an endless parade of ex-Navy SEAL and ex-Special Ops commando authors – who may very well have a great black book when comes to inside info but they are not journalists, and in some cases their relationship to the special operations world may be a little too close for comfort to consider them objective and independent investigators.
To authors Murphy and Webb, you cannot call it a “Definitive Report” a few months after the event. It’s a bit cock-sure, to be sure.
We’re waiting for the sequel, the book which blows the lid on the real story.

Until then, this might just be a ‘controlled media detonation’.

Film, Literature and the New World Order

NOTE: The following interview was recently conducted by Devon DB and originally posted on the What About Peace blog on February 6, 2013. It concerns James Corbett’s new podcast entitled Film, Literature and the New World Order and discusses the first episode of the podcast in which Mr. Corbett examines the Jack London book The Call of the Wild.
Devon DB: Why did you decide to start this podcast?
James Corbett: The concept of “predictive programming” is one that I have long been fascinated with. Perhaps my background as an English literature major gives me an insight into the ways that language and story shape our perception of the world and influence our understanding of what is possible (politically and otherwise). Orwell famously wrote about Politics and the English Language and had a keen understanding of how propaganda (both subtle and blatant) can direct society, so I feel in good company when exploring this subject.
Also, many more people are interested in books and movies than are interested in detailed explorations of parapolitics. We can lament this fact and bemoan people’s lack of interest in these important issues, but it does not make it any less of a fact. Thus it is arguably more productive to harness people’s natural interest in these stories and pop culture phenomenon to invite them into an exploration of these themes and topics. By doing so, we can help spread awareness of these ideas to an audience that would not normally be seeking it out.
Devon DB: You chose Call of The Wild as the first book to premiere on FLNWO. Why specifically did you choose that book as the first to start off your podcast (if there was any special meaning to it at all)?
James Corbett: Although the podcast series is new, I started Film, Literature and the New World Order as a video series some time ago so I have already explored works like Kafka’s The Trial and the Hollywood film “The Insider.” As far as why I have started the audio series with “The Call of the Wild,” I’m afraid there is no grand scheme behind it. I was given a second edition of the book (dating from 1910) as a gift from Aaron Franz of TheAgeofTransitions.com, so I thought it would be appropriate to begin the series with a conversation with Aaron about the book and its deeper meanings.
Devon DB: In the first episode you talked about the domestication of animals and humans, going into how the current systems we have in place create humans that are, in fact, domesticated. Do you think there is a way to undo this domestication, specifically in an intellectual sense?
James Corbett: That we have been subjected to conditioning on a societal scale for decades (at the very least) is beyond question. We know directly from the writings of social theorists like Walter Lippmann and the actions of public relations pioneers like Edward Bernays and by practicing psychologists like B.F. Skinner that a concerted effort has been made to influence and shape people’s behaviors through various conditioning techniques. The question of how to break this conditioning is an extremely complex one, but perhaps the simplest answer is simply to become aware of it. If we are aware of various messages and propaganda as techniques of conditioning, and are able to apprehend them in that light, they are much less likely to be effective on us. Other answers suggest themselves in the work of Martin Seligman on the topic of “learned helplessness.” If people can be conditioned into internalizing powerlessness, they can also be reverse conditioned into understanding the power and effect of their actions. Is fighting fire with fire (or conditioning with reverse conditioning) a viable answer? That is not a rhetorical question, but I will leave it as such for now.
Devon DB: You also talk about people who are domesticated and how they are somewhat needed, for if not we wouldn’t have civilization. How do you balance the need of the suppression of instincts with the social engineering that has and is going on?
James Corbett: To be clear, I was not making the case for the necessity of “domestication” in this conversation so much as summarizing Freud’s ideas on the origin of civilization from his most famous work, “Civilization and Its Discontents.” Must we really frame the argument as one of suppressing instincts in order to achieve society? Perhaps there are other ways of conceptualizing our social constructs. It may be more useful, for example, to look at the problem from the perspective of the individual rather than making blanket statements about humanity as a whole. After all, how many problems have you ever encountered that can truly be solved with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution for everyone on the planet? I would venture to say “not many.” Counterintuitively, the problem of man in society might only be resolvable by understanding that society is itself a fictional concept, and that in the end only the individuals that comprise it really exist. In such a formulation it is up to each individual to understand how best his/her individual desires and sublimated urges can be “balanced” with those around them.
To some extent, this is what we are observing in the course of “The Call of the Wild.” From such a perspective, the book is about Buck discovering how he can best balance his own urges with the needs to fit in with those around him. That looks different in each situation: with Mr. Miller in California, with Perrault and Francois in Alaska, with Thornton, and finally with the wolf pack. Interestingly, the question is not necessarily whether Buck was “suppressing” his true feral nature when he lived on Miller’s property, so much as whether that feral nature would have made any sense or benefited him in any way at Miller’s house. If one’s “nature” is taken to be a contextual construct rather than a reified universal, we arrive at a very different reading of the book.

Devon DB: One of the themes in the book is ritual abuse, specifically how Buck is abused and how this abuse drives him to become a tougher animal. Would you say there is ritual abuse today in our modern society and if so, what effects would you say it has on us?
James Corbett: I’m not sure of the definition of “ritual” in this context, and am not sure it is necessary either way, but certainly the effects of abuse in conditioning the mind are well documented. This ties in with the “learned helplessness” I mentioned earlier: the abused dog in Seligman’s experiments eventually gave up trying to escape his “fate.” It is not a huge leap to extrapolate to our current political situation: election after election, people go to the polls hoping to be able to shape society in their image. Election after election, people vote for a candidate who promises them the moon. Election after election, people are let down by politicians who fail to deliver on their promises.
When this process is repeated over and over throughout the course of one’s life, the implication is clear: nothing you do will alter the situation, so stop trying. This to a large extent explains the baffling levels of apathy we see in the general public even as institutions of nightmarish proportions (the Department of Homeland Security, the globally-expanding NATO alliance, the takeover of the world economy by central banks) continue to grow. The answer, of course, is to realize that the political process as we have been presented it is precisely meant to have no fundamental effect on the direction of society. Once that is realized, and the corollary that all true change happens from the concerted actions of motivated individuals (not from the pulling of a lever in a voting booth), people can once again learn their true power to shape the world around them and reverse the “learned helplessness” conditioning that has resulted from this political abuse.
Devon DB: Finally, you bring up the topic of losing our past. Now, we all know that important events consistently go down the societal memory-hole, never to be bought up again, but would you say there are any extremely important events that connect humanity as a species that have been forgotten? Do you think there is a way to remedy this?
James Corbett: In a very real sense we are in danger of losing “humanity” itself. I do not mean this in an abstract sense, but in the most literal and concrete terms. Now that we are experimenting with the alteration of our genome (and that of the planet generally), we are on the cusp of a revolution that few, if any, can yet imagine the implications of. One of the very obvious implications is that all of the things that biologically and empirically have defined us a species are now up in the air for alteration. This leaves us in the position of having to directly confront for the first time in the history of the species the old philosophical conundrum of what it means to be human in the first place. Is there a human spirit at all? Is there something that transcends our genetic coding, or are we an infinitely malleable biological machine? This is a question that has long been rhetorical, but which we are about to find the answer to one way or another whether we like it or not. In many ways, this is the giant brick wall that we are collectively hurtling toward at 100 miles per hour. I cannot provide any answers to these questions, of course, but I do know that if we do not begin to tackle these problems in a sustained societal conversation we will stumble into the future blindly rather than making rational decisions with regards to what is in our best interests. Hopefully, explorations like this one about “The Call of the Wild” will help to motivate more people to join that conversation.

Bigfoot genome paper “conclusively proves” that Sasquatch is real

And it only took founding a new journal to get the results published.

It's not often you come across a scientific paper which notes that the information it covers is like something "seen on the television series Monster Quest." And you rarely read a paper which concludes, "The data conclusively proves that the Sasquatch exist as an extant hominin and are a direct maternal descendant of modern humans." But today, we have such a paper—and there's nothing usual about it, including the journal where it appears.
Back in December, our own Nate Anderson drove me to the bottle with a flurry of questions about cryptozoology. One of the big motivators of Nate's interest in sasquatch was a report that a Texas group had sequenced the creature's genome. Not surprisingly, the team behind this startling research had some trouble publishing a paper describing their results.
By all appearances, they've solved that problem... by establishing a brand new journal, called De Novo (I'm not kidding; they apparently bought an existing journal and renamed it). The journal's site appears to be a mix of clip art and some basic HTML. Though it claims to be "open access," the site actually charges $30 to see the bigfoot paper (although their press person was kind enough to provide Ars with a free copy). Payment requires a Google Wallet account.
Currently, the sasquatch genome report is all you can see. It's the only paper in Volume 1, Issue 1 of De Novo.

Running the data

Normally, publishers require genetic sequences to be submitted to a public database before a paper's publication, but there's a slight hitch here: the big public database requires a species identification, and sasquatch isn't officially a species. While the research team works on sorting out the species issues, it has provisionally settled on Homo sapiens cognatus. Some of the sequence data from the alleged bigfoot is available as downloadable supplements.
We're currently working with someone who has relevant genomics experience to do an analysis on those sequences, but much of the paper speaks for itself—and it says some very strange things. Figures in the paper show everything from iconic large footprints to old engravings of mythical ape-like creatures. There's even a photo of what seems to be a very shaggy carpet sleeping in the woods (with an embedded video, naturally).

Sasquatch Genome Project

The researchers (primarily a mix of forensics experts) have been collecting alleged bigfoot samples for years, accepting submissions from across North America. These include everything from stray hairs to clumps of fur with flesh attached to a pool of blood (collected after—wait for it—a sasquatch chewed on a pipe).
The team used fairly standard forensic techniques on these items: minimize contamination, gather the DNA of those who collected the samples, then ship everything out to contract facilities for analysis, with a large variety of tests being performed.
At this point, we get into some actual biology with enough details to analyze. And the details appear to point in the exact opposite direction of the authors' conclusions that bigfoot represents a recent hybridization between modern humans and an unknown species of primate.
To begin with, the mitochondrial DNA of the samples (when it can be isolated) clusters with that of modern humans. That isn't itself a problem if we assume that those doing the interbreeding were human females, but the DNA sequences come from a variety of different humans—16 in total. And most of these were "European or Middle Eastern in origin" with a few "African and American Indian haplotypes." Given the timing of the interbreeding, we should only be seeing Native American sequences here. The authors speculate that some humans may have walked across the ice through Greenland during the last glaciation, but there's absolutely no evidence for that. The best explanation here is contamination.
As far as the nuclear genome is concerned, the results are a mess. Sometimes the tests picked up human DNA. Other times, they didn't. Sometimes the tests failed entirely. The products of the DNA amplifications performed on the samples look about like what you'd expect when the reaction didn't amplify the intended sequence. And electron micrographs of the DNA isolated from these samples show patches of double- and single-stranded DNA intermixed. This is what you might expect if two distantly related species had their DNA mixed—the protein-coding sequences would hybridize, and the intervening sections wouldn't. All of this suggests modern human DNA intermingled with some other contaminant.
The authors' description of the sequence suggests that it's human DNA interspersed with sequence from some other primate—hence the interbreeding idea. But the best way to analyze this would be to isolate the individual segments of non-human DNA and see what species those best align with. If the authors have done that, they don't say. They also don't mention how long the typical segment of non-human DNA is. Assuming interbreeding took place as the authors surmise, these segments should be quite long, since there hasn't been that much time to recombine. The fact that the authors don't mention this at all is pretty problematic.
It's impossible to say anything for certain until we can get the sequences analyzed; hopefully, we'll have an update on that before the week is out. At the moment, though, all indications suggest that the sasquatch hunters are working on a mix of human DNA intermingled with that of some other (or several other) mammals.
