This future is not surprising considering the current speed of healthcare innovations. It seems just about every week, we hear researchers make fresh discoveries, or begin clinical trials for a new therapy; and as we trek through the decades ahead, breakthroughs will occur at even faster rates than today.
Although technologies will eliminate disease and aging, they cannot protect us from accidents and violence. To eliminate all unwanted deaths, forward-thinkers believe we need to first replace much of our biology with non-biological ‘immortal’ tissues; and then develop an innovative brain-transfer system.
This brings us to 3 research efforts. The Blue Brain Project, where scientists seek to simulate the brain in a machine by reverse-engineering the human brain; the U.S. government’s Brain Activity Map, where researchers strive to demystify how neurons direct thoughts and physical actions; and Intel’s Human Brain Project where scientists hope to one day transmit thoughts direct from brain to machine.
Positive futurists believe that these projects will eventually lead to allowing a mind, with its consciousness and memories; everything that describes one’s humanness, to be transferred to a new body should disaster strike the old one. This would completely eliminate all unwanted deaths.
How might humanity advance after being freed from the Grim Reaper’s grasp? Astronomer Nikolai Kardashev devised the following ratings and capabilities for future civilizations based on energy use.
Type I. captures all of the solar energy that strikes their planet. This will increase today’s Earth energy supply by 100 billion. Advances in nanotechnology and development of warp-drive propulsion expected at this time will trigger a rush to space and promote unheard of cooperation between nations creating a peaceful global society more intent on exploring space than quarreling over cultural conflicts.
Type II. Exponentially-advancing technologies could help Earth reach this level in the next two hundred years. Surrounding the Sun with a Dyson Sphere, Type II’s mine all of the energy in their solar system increasing power 100 billion-fold again. Type III. Energy supply increases another 100-billion-fold. In his book, Parallel Worlds, Michio Kaku says Type III’s derive power from multiple stars and have learned to control unstable time and space. They traverse wormholes to reach vast distances in space instantly; and after resolving paradox issues where time traveler’s actions cause changes in the present, they can launch backward time travel trips without fears of disruption. Type III’s are a dominant galactic force, eager to populate the cosmos.
So, where is today’s Earth in this rating system? Physicists place us at Type 0.7, but with technology advances, forward thinkers predict we could reach Type I by 2100, Type II by 2200 and Type III by 3000.
Looking into this distant future, humans will enjoy Star Trek Holodeck-like virtual reality entertainment escapades, and changing physical appearance using only thought-command. Imagine, wishing for a radically different look. You could experience life as a member of the opposite sex; or maybe add wings so you could fly like a bird; or surround yourself with an invisibility cloak. The possibilities are endless.
Will the future occur in this timeline? Although it took 2-million years for us to abandon the forest and build a society, it may take only a few decades to leave our planet and begin this breathtaking adventure.

An exciting new study was just published in the Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine titled, "Effects of royal jelly supplementation on glycemic control and oxidative stress factors in type 2 diabetic female: a randomized clinical trial," and explored the healing effects of royal jelly in women with type 2 diabetes.

The researchers sought to confirm royal jelly's health benefits as both an antioxidant and blood sugar lowering agent, as has been previously reported in preclinical research.

The pilot study involved 50 female subjects with type 2 diabetes who were randomly allocated to receive either a 1,000 mg royal jelly soft gel supplement (25 women) or a placebo (25 women), for 8 weeks.

The women's blood sugar control indices, antioxidant and oxidative stress factors were measured before and after the intervention with the following results:

After royal jelly supplementation, the mean fasting blood glucose decreased remarkably (163.05±42.51 mg/dL vs. 149.68±42.7 mg/dL). Royal jelly supplementation resulted in significant reduction in the mean serum glycosylated hemoglobin levels (8.67%±2.24% vs. 7.05%±1.45%, P=0.001) and significant elevation in the mean insulin concentration (70.28±29.16 pmol/L vs. 86.46±27.50 pmol/L, P=0.01). Supplementation significantly increased erythrocyte superoxidase dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities and decreased malondialdehyde levels (P < 0.05). The authors described the effectiveness of royal jelly had in reducing fasting blood sugar (FBG) as "remarkable," concluding that "supplementation with RJ may be beneficial for diabetic patients."

They also discovered an insulin-like property to the royal jelly, which they could not determine was due to the stimulation of new insulin production by the beta cells in the pancreases of the test subjects, or the presence of an insulin-like component within the royal jelly itself.

This is the not the first study to identify an anti-diabetic property to royal jelly. In 2008, a study was published in Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin describing the amelioration of insulin resistance in fructose-fed rats, finding that "Royal Jelly could be an effective functional food to prevent insulin resistance associated with the development of hypertension."[i]

Also, in 2007, a study published in the Journal of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan found that royal jelly significantly decreased systolic blood pressure and serum levels of insulin in insulin resistant rats.[ii]

The evidence – now from both human and animal studies – indicates that royal jelly may provide a natural alternative for ameliorating type 2 diabetes. There will never be enough royal jelly, however, to provide sufficient 'remedy' to the hundreds of millions who are suffering from type 2 diabetes as a result of a biologically inappropriate diet and incessant chemical exposures, as it is a precious commodity produced by a species of insect that is collapsing under the weight of post-industrial civilization's toxic fallout.

What’s Behind the Disappearance of Malaysian Airliner MH370? Part One:

What really happened to the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370?

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has been said to have disappeared from the sky in the early hours of Saturday, March 8th, 2014, subsequently over Vietnamese airspace at 35,000 feet heading for Beijing. The flight was carrying some 227 passengers and 12 crew members.

This begs the question: How would it be possible in this day and age for a large airliner to just disappear off the radar without a beacon from the jet’s transponder, even if the crew was incapacitated?

Many aeronautical experts agree that this event is indeed ‘highly unusual’ if not outright unprecedented – at that altitude.

As air traffic controllers track commercial jets from two different types of radar. The primary radar tracks a plane’s position, while a secondary radar talks back and forth electronically with the locator or transponder on the plane, requesting more specific information from that device.

Sid McGuirk, an associate professor of air traffic management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida had this to say following the mysterious disappearance of flight MH370:

“The flight crews use combinations of high-frequency radio, satellite-based voice communication and text data networks to report to ATC ( air traffic control) the exact time, position and flight level when the crossing begins.”

Based on this information it seems that the public has not been given the full story as to what has happened to the missing flight, making it unlikely that the event was ‘sudden and catastrophic’ as the plane apparently turned around according to initial reports, traveling some 350 miles, making it to Malacca Strait, according to Malaysian officials. It would have taken 15 to 30 minutes for the plane to land according to reports, leaving a ghost pattern on radar as to their location and plenty of time for a distress signal if the plane wasn’t hijacked.

We’ve also been told by other media outlets that the transponder and tracking systems were turned off at some point while the plane was flying low.

When were they switched off and why where authorities searching in a different area if they had this information in the early stages of the investigation?

Air traffic controllers would have known the exact moment that something had changed during the course of this flight.

As the search intensifies for the missing flight, many theories are pointing towards foul play but what would be the motive?

Malaysia has seen an economic boom over the past few decades, as a majority of the people have a higher standard of living in recent years. The capital Kuala Lumpur, has a dense urban cityscape that would rival any city in the United States, as well as Europe, with its high-end shopping centers, condos and private schools. According to a census almost two-thirds of the population is Muslim. The average household income has nearly doubled since 1990. Like most places these days, there is a great divide among more affluent Malaysians and those who are poverty-stricken.

Malaysia is also rich with ’massive deposits of oil’ and is said to be one of the largest non-OPEC oil exporters in the world. This makes it an attractive place for the CIA and other clandestine activity to take place, as the West has been known to pressurize nations when seeking their precious natural resources.

It has been said that Western intelligence agencies allegedly controlled Islamists and pro-democracy activists in Malaysia, particularly during the coup in Egypt. This was evident in a large protest that took place in Kuala Lumpur in 2011.

In 2003 Malaysia’s former prime minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, named Israel as “the enemy allied with most powerful nations,”  during a 57-nation Islamic summit. The Malaysian leader further explained his beliefs about Israeli control, while also condemning the violence among Muslims:

“They invented socialism, communism, human rights and democracy, so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong, so that they can enjoy equal rights with others.
“With these they have gained control of the most powerful countries and they this tiny community, have become a world power.”
Mahathir had often blamed Israel and the United States for fueling violence in the Arab world.

In the middle of the 97-98 Asian financial crisis, Mahathir claimed there was a Western capitalist conspiracy to keep Malaysia under control, as the currency attack revealed the involvement of billionaire investor, Bilderberg consolidator and hedge-fund manager George Soros, as the Malaysian ringgit lost 15% over a two month period. Mahathir lashed out against Western meddling in the aftermath of the losses his country accrued:

“We never believe in applying pressure on people. Trying to starve a whole nation in order to force its government to behave, that is not our idea. If you want to act against the government, you act against the government…. You have to show them that the way others do things can bring benefits to the country without in any way undermining their authority.”

It has been reported that a security firm called Asiasoft has been involved in updating Malaysia’s police systems. Two of the company’s directors are both from Israel, Izhak David Nakar and  Ido Schechter. Nakar is stated to have won an Israeli defense award.

Well-known researcher Tony Cartalucci observed the Western fallout over the recent elections in Malaysia during 2013:

“Despite the US mobilizing the summation of its media power and pouring millions of dollars into the opposition party, including the creation and perpetuation of fake-NGOs such as Bersih and the Merdeka Center, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak sailed to a comfortable victory in this year’s general elections. The cheap veneer has begun peeling away from America’s “democracy promotion” racket, leaving its proxies exposed and frantic, and America’s hegemonic ambitions across Asia in serious question.”
Its clear from this analysis, that things didn’t go as planned for United States and its allies wthin Malaysia, as the unsettling elections could provide the impetus for some sort of unsavory Gladio-tension from Western backed intelligence agencies.

The previously unheard of Chinese Martyrs’ Brigade initially claimed responsibility for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Prompting the Chinese media to say it is ‘likely a hoax made up by opportunists looking to inflame ethnic tensions.’
China has recently seen a series of  vicious attacks in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur region and the mass stabbings within the capital of Kunming this past month leaving some 33 people dead.

Interpol secretary general Ronald Noble does not believe the missing plane to be a ‘terrorist incident.’ Shockingly, authorities now claim they are looking for ‘sabotage, hijacking or psychological problems among either the crew or the passengers’ as the possible motive for the missing plane.

This statement seems to prey on the naivety of a certain segment the public who are still unaware of - manufactured clandestine terror under the direction of intelligence agencies, those entities who’ve historically used these kinds of means to destabilize as well as to threaten the security of resource laden countries over the years.

To make matters even more incredible, there have been reports of two stolen passports, as two Iranians reportedly made their way through security undetected with stolen passports from Austria and Italy. They were said to have switched their passports from Iran, upon entering Malaysia. The younger of the two was said to have been seeking asylum in Germany and not linked to any terror outfit.

What do authorities really know about these men?

It appears there is some question as to who booked the flights for the two men, as a travel agent from Pattaya, in Thailand, is said to have booked the tickets for an ‘Iranian businessman.’ Its important to note that Thailand is a hotbed for CIA related activity.

Were these two men deliberately chosen by operatives to board the plane, in an effort to frame another part of the world for potential terror, in this case Iran?

Many people believe that Abu Nidal, the infamous Lockerbie bomber charged in the bombing of PanAm flight 103 was connected to the CIA.

In surreal fashion, the Malaysian flight story keeps changing directions at an unprecedented rate, as Ghost-like phone calls have also been reported as 19 families signed a joint statement saying that ‘their calls connected to their loved ones but that they rang out.’

Could this information provide the authorities with the ability to locate the GPS coordinates as well as disprove the incident as a sudden catastrophic event?

The mystery  has deepened in the case of missing Malaysian airliner MH370, as the search has reportedly been expanded to an unprecedented scale, scouring some 27,000 nautical miles.
It has been more than a week since we learned that a large Boeing 777  from Malaysia to Beijing seemingly vanished into thin air, without a trace. As contradictory reports and false leads have dominated the headlines, we’ve had to wade through the distortion…

We’ve also been told at least 57 ships and 48 aircrafts have actively been looking for the missing Malaysian airliner MH370.

The search has now been stretched into the Andaman Sea, the Indian Ocean, as well as a ‘corridor’ from Thailand to the Kazakstan-Turkmenistan border, as “military radar suggested the plane was deliberately flown“ towards India’s Andaman Islands, apparently for an additional 7.5 hours, while continuing to send transmissions through the plane’s satellite-link that automatically transmits data from its onboard system known as (ACARS) Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System. Malaysian authorities reportedly received several ”pings” from this system on MH370.

The ACARS system was primarily developed to automatically detect and report changes to the four major flight phases, known as OOOI, (Out of the gate, Off the ground, On the ground and Into the gate) these phases are determined by algorithms tapped into aircraft sensors. Transmissions from ACARS are beamed to the ground radar through digital messages. Each new flight phase is recorded and sent to the ground via this system, the flight origin, the amount of fuel, as well as – the flight’s destination.

A former member of the US National Transportation Safety Board, John Goglia, has reported that the ACARS transmitter ‘continued sending out blips’ that were recorded by satellite ‘once every hour’ after the transponder was off. Reports suggest turning off the ACARS system is somewhat of a difficult task, as it is said to be located in the electronics bay beneath the cockpit. Goglia asserts, “That’s something a pilot wouldn’t normally know how to do.”

United States officials believe MH370 to be a case of ‘air piracy’ involving one or more people in the hijacking, however, Malaysian authorities have not been as quick to draw this conclusion, as Prime Minister Najib Razak and Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein are still investigating whether the flight had been taken over by hijacker’s but did acknowledge ‘deliberate action’ caused flight MH370  to change its pathway and subsequently lose contact with controllers on the ground.

As authorities have mulled over the flights pathway, they’ve enlisted the help of geospatial giant DigitalGlobe, once known as Earth Watch, a satellite imaging corporation that also doubles as a defense contractor. DigitalGlobe was tasked to locate the missing Boeing 777 via their crowdsourcing site  tomnod.com. We’re told their efforts have turned up empty, as amateur sleuths combed over millions of satellite images.

Perhaps the  true role for this ‘public search’ was to generate excitement for the security and defense surveillance industry - never letting a crisis go to waste. You can already hear the calls for more biometrics, security and surveillance in the wake of MH370, all to be rolled out in an airport near you.

Over the course of this investigation there have been numerous conflicting reports that have only served to keep the vast majority of the public in the dark as to the events leading to the disappearance of flight MH370. We’ve had false leads such as oil slicks, satellite images thought to be depicting plane debris, as well as the strange back and forth by authorities whether data could be transmitted via the Rolls Royce engines on the plane. Rolls Royce and Malaysian Airlines are said to have a partnership that requires the engine to transmit live data to its global engine health monitoring center in Derby, UK every 30 minutes. Investigators are said to have used the ACARS information uploaded to the engine maker.


There is also the question of air traffic control ground based radar systems and the likelihood of a country detecting a plane in its airspace. Particularly, the primary surveillance radar, (PSR) often refered to as ‘skin paint’ radar, which gets it name for the brightly colored blips it produces on a radar screen via radio frequency energy reflections. This type of radar does not require a talking back and forth feature with onboard data systems. The radar simply displays objects within its range. Nations track weather systems with this same skin paint radar system.

According to retired Indian air force officer Vinod Patney,  it is ‘unlikely’ for an aircraft to enter a country’s airspace undetected.

Why has there not been more discussion of this, as new reports suggest the plane could have flown over large bodies of land within a country’s airspace?

A skin paint radar system would have detected the whereabouts of a commercial airliner.

We’ve seen reports about the 20 Freescale Semiconductor employees confirmed to have been onboard flight MH370. Freescale is an Austin, Texas based tech giant, that designs embedded hardware, microprocessors, microcontrollers and sensors, among other tech based devices. The company has recently been involved in litigation over patents with Vantage Point Technology and Media Tek inc.

To make matters more confusing, there have been reports that four of Freescale’s patent holders were on the flight, however, after taking some time to review MH370′s passenger manifest, the names listed did not match those who were alleged to have been on the flight.

Freescale Semiconductor is said to have started out as a part of Motorola, designing semiconductor devices, for ground-based tracking, while this is a strange coincidence considering the circumstances, this information doesn’t by itself produce a motive to disrupt the plane’s systems. There is however, some question as to the consortium said to own majority shares in Freescale, namely, the Blackstone Group and the Carlyle Group.

Lord Jacob Rothschild is listed as a Member of the International Advisory Board at Blackstone. The Carlyle Group is one of the nation’s largest defense contractors, with investors that have included the Bush’s as well the Bin Laden family.  Naturally, with these ‘corporate bloodlines’ potentially being involved in the case of a missing airliner, it raises quite a bit of suspicion.
It has also been stated that Malaysian authorities have denied reports of the plane landing at the United States military base in Diego Garcia located in the Indian Ocean, fueling even more suspicion, as the plane is said to have been on heading on course towards Diego Garcia with its last listed radar contact near Silver Island.

Has the public been deliberately steered away from other possible locations of the plane, such as areas within or near the Indian Ocean?

Perhaps the most unsettling information in regards to the missing Boeing 777 comes from retired 35 year Delta pilot, Field McConnell, who states that since 1995, Boeing Uninterruptible Auto Pilots have been equipped in Boeing planes. This information was apparently not released until March of 2007, following a subsequent lawsuit by McConnell. The modification was reported to the FAA, NTSB and ALPA ( airline pilots association). According to McConnell’s documents, Boeing is said to have stated that by end of 2009 all Boeing planes would be fitted with the BUAP - making them impossible to manually hijack within the plane but susceptible to remote control by the military, according the flight veteran.

Additionally, McConnell mentions an ‘autoland’ and ‘autobrake’ feature for the plane, making it possible for these planes to land safely or to be used as a potential weapon according to his information.

McConnell and his associates further explain the device used to control aircraft through his site abeldanger.net, stating that Hillary Clinton and Rose Law Firm had originally obtained the patent for the Quartz Rate Sensor apparently used in many military crafts:

“The QRS-11 GyroChip sensor is used on commercial aircraft to rotate the antenna to receive signals from satellites for the in-flight entertainment system, radar tracking and flight controls. If the aircraft is equipped with a uninterruptible autopilot, signals can be received from a satellite to remotely fly the aircraft.

The sensor provides stabilization, flight control, and guidance. It also is used in missiles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV ) and other military as well as space and industrial applications. Because of the sensitive nature of its military applications, the export of the technology is regulated.”

The site continues by asserting what the device is specifically used for:

“We allege that the QRS-11 can be used as part of a package of technology to guide aircraft equipped with uninterruptible autopilots turning them into weapons.”

The Quartz Rate Sensor information comes to our attention on the heels of stacked investigation into both pilots of MH370, mainstream media is now focused on how the transponder was apparently turned off by pilots after the last communication, as well as searching the pilots’ homes, ignoring much of the initial critical information that was revealed.

If the information on Abel Danger is accurate, then this new talking point by major media outlets could be another effort to hide something. It’s important to note, Abel Danger has had some controversial claims in recent years.

Additionally, if what McConnell alleges is true, why hasn’t this critical Boeing information been discussed among the many so-called experts in avionics and air traffic control on larger media outlets?
Also, What happened to the probe into the apparently photoshopped passport thieves? Did big media get caught trying to cook-up that story, as they now appear to be crafting a terror narrative to fit the two pilots of MH370?

Throughout week, media mogul Rupert Murdoch also weighed in on the missing 777 airliner by pushing certain memes making the circuit on the internet, while using it as an opportunity to invoke the much-lauded Bin Laden raid tale at the same time - this is where conspiracy goes mainstream, a ‘conspiracy to create a conspiracy.’ The Chairman and CEO of News Corporation has gotten “hands-on” with this story, and seems to be engaging in a propaganda push, fueling reckless speculation as to the whereabouts of the missing plane. That should raise a big red flag… if Murdoch has a media empire, why make the news himself (Citizen Kane comes to mind here). With this effort, public opinion is molded without discussion or investigation.

Here we see Murdoch exploiting the missing 777 airliner for his own political agenda, using it to pump overtly Western propaganda.





If this wasn’t enough, the media now appears to be ‘normalizing’ the disappearance of MH370 by digging up old missing flight stories that are clearly way before the recent technological advances that were mentioned above.

In our last post about the Malaysian airliner disappearance, we discussed possible motives for Malaysia to become a target.

The NGO Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal was established in 2007 by former Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and they recently conducted a tribunal in November of 2013, charging Israel with war crimes, listening to extensive testimony from 11 witnesses, as well as documentary evidence, in finding the “State of Israel guilty of genocide,” citing eyewitness accounts of crimes against Palestinians in the Lebanese refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila in 1982, and in Jenin and Nablus in 2002, as well as Operation Cast Lead which apparently targeted hundreds of civilians leaving some 1,400 dead.

Judge Lamin bin Haji Mohd Yunus (as seen on the left) had served as a  member of the panel of Judges on the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal in 2012 and explained his position on the ruling levied against Israel:

“As a tribunal of conscience, the Tribunal is fully aware that its verdict is merely declaratory in nature. The tribunal has no power of enforcement. What we can do under Article 34 of Chapter VIII of Part 2 of the Charter is to recommend to the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission to submit this finding of conviction by the Tribunal, together with a record of these proceedings, to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, as well as the United Nations and the Security Council.”

Given the gravity of the charges placed on Israel by the tribunal, Malaysia’s sovereign resources and the bizarre media reports since the plane’s disappearance, one should consider those who stand to benefit from a destabilized Malaysia.

Sexual Assaults In The Military Are At An All-Time High And Most Of Them Are Male On Male

There is a raging epidemic of sexual assault in the U.S. military.  A report released by the U.S. Department of Defense says that an astounding 12,000 women serving in the U.S. military were sexually assaulted in 2012.  This is a national disgrace, and any U.S. service member that rapes a woman deserves the death penalty in my opinion.  It has gotten so bad that a female service member serving in Afghanistan is more likely to be raped by a male service member than she is to be killed by the Taliban.  But that is only half the story.  Sexual assault against males is at an epidemic level in the U.S. military as well.  In fact, according to the same report that I just mentioned, there were 14,000 sexual assaults against men serving in the U.S. military during 2012.  That means that most of the sexual assaults in the military are actually male on male.  The following is an excerpt from an article in the New York Times…

According to the Department of Defense’s Military Sexual Assault Report for 2012, an estimated 26,000 members of the United States military, both men and women, were sexually assaulted in that year. The Pentagon survey almost certainly underreports the scale of the issue. Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men.

The study also found that male service members are far less likely to report when they are attacked, and when a report is made, military authorities are far less likely to go after the perpetrator…

These men — an estimated 13,900 last year alone — are far less likely than women to report an attack. Only 13 percent of reports last year were filed by men, military data show.
But the disparities do not end there. The Sun found that when men do report a sexual assault, military authorities are less likely to identify a suspect, to refer charges to court-martial or to discharge the perpetrator than in cases in which the victim is a woman.

Fortunately, after years of denial this issue is starting to come to the forefront.  Some prominent retired officers are even speaking out about this.
For example, Major General Dennis J. Laich says that the military brass “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands of victims that never got justice…

The chain of command “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands we have failed to serve and protect over the past 25 years, former Maj. Gen. Dennis J. Laich (ret.) told reporters during a press call. “When an American female service member serving in Afghanistan has a higher probability of being raped by a fellow soldier than being killed by the Taliban, I would submit that the chain of command has a problem,” he continued.

When we can’t even protect members of our own military, we have got a major problem on our hands.
During 2012, more than 85,000 military veterans were formally treated for sexual abuse that they suffered while serving in the U.S. military.
And even though they are less likely to come forward for treatment, 40 percent of those that were treated were men.
Things have gotten so bad at this point that even military recruiters have become known for sexually assaulting those that they are recruiting.  According to the Washington Post, the Pentagon is pledging to do something about this growing problem…

“The secretary has made it clear that we will spare no effort to rid our military of sexual abuse,” said George Little, the Pentagon press secretary. “The fact that there have been problems of sexual abuse during the recruiting process is simply intolerable.”

When you get sexually assaulted, it can absolutely shatter your life – especially if you never get any justice.  This is one of the reasons why the suicide rate in the U.S. military is so high.
Most people don’t realize this, but the number of active members of the U.S. military that kill themselves each year now exceeds the number that are dying on the battlefield.
And according to one absolutely shocking study, 22 military veterans kill themselves in the United States every single day.
Clearly something is very wrong with the U.S. military.
Most of the time, the stories of these victims of sexual assault in the military never get told.  But fortunately a few of them are starting to get out there.  For example, consider what happened to former Marine Lance Corporal Jeremiah Arbogast…

His eyes low, focused on the prepared statement in front of him, Arbogast recounted the details of his own sexual assault and its equally horrifying aftermath. He was drugged to the point of incapacitation and sexually assaulted by a fellow marine, a former staff sergeant, while on active duty. “I was humiliated at the thought of my helplessness,” he said.
Two months after the attack, incessant nightmares, anxiety, depression and confusion finally overpowered his fear and embarrassment and Arbogast confronted a base social worker who reported the attack to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which investigates crimes involving Naval or Marine Corps personnel. This would only further his humiliation, Arbogast came to find out. He said he was forced to make recorded phone calls to his rapist and even confront him at his house while wearing a wire in order to get a confession. He accomplished his mission, but his nightmare was far from over. Arbogast’s attacker was arrested and hit with several charges including sexual assault and sodomy, but after only a week in court, evidence shed light on his 23 years of service and he walked away with a bad conduct discharge and no jail time. Arbogast said his rapist was ordered to NCIS headquarters for fingerprinting only to reveal that he’d dulled the skin on his fingertips, and that he managed to refuse to register on the sex offender database by simply saying, “No, I don’t have to.”

This has got to stop.
The U.S. military is supposed to be the most highly disciplined fighting force on the planet, and there is no excuse for this.
Sadly, the reality is that what is going on in the military is simply a reflection of society as a whole.
America has become a giant cesspool of filth and corruption, and this is manifesting itself in thousands of different ways.
If it was up to me, every member of the U.S. military that rapes someone would get the death penalty.
But it is not up to me.  Instead, political correctness has taken over the U.S. military and we have an administration that treats military veterans like absolute garbage.
So let us hope that things in the military start to get better, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Information, Disinformation and the Credibility Crisis. Where is the Truth in Today’s News Reporting?

Where is the truth in news reporting today? A large percentage of the American population no longer trusts mainstream news outlets either on television or in print. A June 2013 Gallup poll indicates nearly 4 out of 5 Americans among younger generations from age 21-64 cannot trust the major news networks, not when the likes of NBC and MSNBC are owned by General Electric, Comcast and possibly Time Warner in this age of super-mergers. Both the circulation and very survival of America’s news print organizations have shriveled or dried up completely.

Amongst the nation’s largest cities, few traditional newspapers are still left today. Even the perennial powerhouse dailies like the New York Times, Washington Post and LA Times have gravely suffered, and in an attempt to keep up with the changing times, years ago moved to the internet as their mainstay means of surviving the computer age. Time Magazine and Newsweek similarly have been forced to downsize with Newsweek permanently suspending its print circulation. In recent years Time Magazine in print has been reduced in size to a mere skimpy little shadow of what it once was.

To a significant portion of Americans, all the mainstream news corporations have been rendered state propaganda and disinformation tools for the US government. Indeed their embedded (alias “in-bed”) news reporting has become a cynical joke amongst the populace. Entertainment fluff and filler space have come to obscure and replace real news and real issues that vitally affect the well being, safety and concerns of the American public. The controlling powers behind mainstream media outlets have made a concerted effort to keep American citizens the last to know especially when it comes to world events and developments.

According that that same Gallup poll from last year, this growing distrust that Americans have towards mainstream news is only exceeded by their distrust towards big business, HMO’s and US Congress. Even last month’s Gallup poll shows President Obama’s approval rating dipping to an all time low of just 39% with the majority of Americans now disapproving of his job performance. This negative, across-the-boards view reflects both a generalized discontent and disconnect with today’s status quo power structure. And as a result, a mass exodus of US citizens have switched viewing their world through the known distorted lens of traditional news coverage to that of the world wide web, currently celebrating its quarter century anniversary this week.

Hence, in recent years a growing number of people have been turning to online sources as their primary means for news information and current world events. Despite unlimited numbers to choose from of websites portending to depict accurate coverage of domestic and international events, in today’s world the notion of objective, unbiased news coverage becomes highly suspect. Thus, an informed public must be extremely discerning when it comes to believing what is the truth and what are the lies based on propagandist manipulation. Ultimately individuals will naturally gravitate toward whatever sources of news best fit their particular biases and beliefs based on their world paradigm. So one’s sense of reality and truth about the world becomes both highly elusive and subjective, if not impossible to tease out and grasp.

To compound this already perplexing, complex problem, the systematic dumbing-down of America has produced a mounting population that all too frequently gullibly accepts either the spoon-fed deception and lies of mainstream media or often equally biased non-mainstream news outlets. For decades now Americans have been conditioned to no longer think critically and discriminately to sort out facts from fiction.

Creative questioning, exploring curiosity or daring to challenge authority is entirely absent from the current US public education system bent on homogenized conformity and socialization toward robotic compliance. And as a consequence, too many Americans blindly accept as gospel truth anything they read, that is if they still read at all, naively assuming it would not be fit to print on the internet, in books, magazines or newspapers or seen on TV, if it were not all true.

In a related matter of a few decades US academic standards have plummeted from near the global top to far down the list. Based on a 2009 Harvard study, American students rank 25^th out of 34 developed nations in math and science. Likewise over the same period, the quality of written English skills of incoming college freshmen has also significantly deteriorated while an alarming increase in illiteracy rates amongst US high school graduates has been observed. The US Department of Education revealed that in 2010 twenty-six percent of 12^th graders fell well below the basic reading level, indicating that over a quarter of high school graduates these days do not possess the necessary skills to perform basic, everyday literacy functions.

An extremely strong correlation between this steady decline in academic standards and increased poverty rates in America largely accounts for these dismal recent trends in US education. Then it logically follows that the millions of Americans who are struggling to survive in today’s hectic, pressured world neither have the time nor attention span to engage in the extra burden of fact-checking and cross-checking news sources. Yet to arrive at a closer proximity of what is actually occurring in the world and stay informed, it seems necessary.

An overwhelming, interrelated, co-existing factor further complicates this already muddled filter that distorts reality and events as they are – the growing chasm between the 1% haves in this status quo economic-political system, and the rest of us 99 percenters who struggle to survive within this same inequitable, broken system. The rapidly widening disparity between the rich and poor is driving up unprecedented levels of anxiety, powerlessness and cynicism amongst the population. The cultural values that have historically brainwashed consumers toward indiscriminate buying and crass materialism no longer have the same effect when the increasing economic gap between the 1% elite and the 99% have-nots is sinking the middle class into a swelling underclass of Americans literally fighting for survival.

For the first time in US history, the standard of living and upward mobility that have been a constant given for every previous younger generation in America is now sadly a phenomenon of the past. Also for the first time a growing segment of citizens is recognizing that the status quo system is non-sustainable over the long run. They have come to painfully realize that the economic-political system of trickle down economics and so called free enterprise democracy – rooted in exploitation, competition, greed and sociopathy – no longer serves them or is even working. Hence, vast increasing numbers of desperate Americans have become so skeptical, cynical and disenchanted, they do not believe in much of anything except in their own bleak future.

Songwriter Paul Simon once wrote, “Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio?” reacting to the absence of American heroes. Virtually all the greatest modern superstar athletes have broken records by cheating on performance-enhancing drugs. Film and singing idols have their dirty laundry viewed and aired daily in public. And America’s most powerful leaders – politicians and generals – have long been viewed alongside the lowly used car salesmen as the most notorious liars, swindlers and cheats.

Feeling betrayed by their own government, the growing masses have finally come to realize the scam of American democracy, that their government they once trusted represents and protects only the special interests of the powerful elite, having systematically bought off their government representatives only to do the elite’s shady, unfair bidding. They see the dominoes of austerity spreading throughout southern Europe, fast concluding that the writing on the wall for a very grim tomorrow awaits them as well. They witness the ravages of climate change and the inability of the government to protect them from free falling disasters. They observe the rising political unrest in today’s rapidly polarizing world, the re-emergence of explosively tense cold war hostilities between East versus West, and potential World War III’s triggered at any moment in any number of places, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, North Korea. Take your pick.

Without the illusion of security to buffer them and nothing and no one left to trust, where can the public turn to in order to understand and comprehend their ever changing world that to them is spinning out of control? If mainstream media can no longer be trusted, is the infinite number of blog sites and alternative news sites spewing out their own versions of reality any more accurate in delivering the truth to a lied to, skeptical and forsaken world? A proliferation of bogus, off-the-wall, conspiracy theories-gone-mad websites are currently feeding a frenzied, disenfranchised, albeit fringe element. Meanwhile, hundreds of small alternative news sites have mushroomed to serve an expanding market of news consumers desperately searching for honest and accurate depiction of real world events and developments as they really are.

One of them, the RT news outlet, launched in the US in 2010 became an overnight sensation largely due to its coverage of the Occupy Wall Street movement, instantly becoming the biggest source of news for a growing young population watching RT on youtube. Yet unbeknownst to many RT fans for obvious reasons, RT stands for Russia Today. On RT’s most popular show “Breaking The Set,” its host Abby Martin recently criticized Russian President Putin for his overt act of military aggression. Russian troops invading Crimea, a region inside Ukraine along the Russian border comprised mostly of fellow ethnic Russians, is seen as a violation of the sovereign independent nation. Of course the recent coup overthrowing democratically elected leader Viktor Yanukovych covertly committed by the West was also a clear violation of international law.

A couple days after Abby made her controversial comment, in solidarity with her colleague, another RT anchor chimed in to spontaneously announce her on the air resignation. In the meantime, the world is still waiting for any detectable recrimination from Moscow that would instantly be construed as unfairly targeting Martin for her bold honesty. Thus far no punishment has come her way, much to Western media’s chagrin. But what has been widely viewed as a legitimate alternative news source delivering independent global news to the world by its viewers is now under utmost scrutiny. Additionally, a wave of mainstream press has attacked Abby Martin in an attempt to undermine her reputation and credibility, branding her an extremist as a 9/11 Truth-er kook. Suddenly mainstream press dragged out a several year old video of Ms. Martin interviewed while vehemently protesting “the inside job” of 9/11.

In damage control mode, Abby took to tweeting that she has since backed off from her earlier hard-line stance, much to the dismay of those in the truth movement contending that 9/11 was fully orchestrated by neocon government insiders. So this last week the RT anchor has been caustically blasted from both sides. The vicious zealotry of jabs from mainstream media exposes its own unethical ploys to, in one fell swoop, falsely discredit Abby Martin, RT, Putin and his Russia.

But really it is a feeble attempt to cover up its own desperate fear that she and others in alternative news outlets will continue spreading the truth to the masses, gain more popularity and trust in the process and seriously erode the establishment’s credibility that “the jig may be up” for them. Mainstream reactivity is but a barometer of the very real threat that honest investigative journalism and dissemination of exposed truth pose for the powers-that-be who are in fact pulling virtually all the strings behind the curtain of censorship and control.

Meanwhile, former Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald of Edward Snowden fame who this last year fast became a rising star in the alternative news world, recently tweeted his support for Abby calling her a courageous broadcast journalist. When Secret Wars author and Oscar nominated documentarian Jeremy Scahill along with high profiled Greenwald were hired by eBay billionaire Pierre Omidyar several months ago to lead their own startup news organization the Intercept to focus on national security issues, the buzz inside the alt-news world began speculating that Scahill and Greenwald were selling out with the foregone conclusion that unbiased reporting from them in the future would be necessarily compromised and tainted.

That is typically how the status quo power structure handles its opposition, ultimately when most threatened resorting to either the full onslaught of character assassination as in Abby’s case, or to actual assassination by murder as more than likely in Michael Hasting’s case, or through the much softer, subtler, “honey is sweeter than vinegar” method of courting and buying out the opposition as potentially in Glenn and Jeremy’s case.

The Intercept’s senior policy analyst Marcy Wheeler recently went on record in the aftermath of last month’s Ukrainian revolution speculating that the regime change came as the result of “deep dark forces” at work, implicating a coalition of groups funded by the West. On a February 23^rd tweet she identified the deep funding source for the revolution to be “Pax Americana,” a nebulous term for American Empire. Mark Ames from internet news independent Pando then broke a February 28^th story asserting that those deep pockets at least in part came directly from Marcy’s billionaire boss Pierre Omidyar.

The Ames article included financial records of the major funding sources of the various Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s) that were instrumental in the Ukraine coup. The Kyiv Post last month printed the specific breakdown of 2012 monetary contributions from the three largest funding sources of one of the more prominent Ukranian NGO’s, the Centre UA, used to overthrow the government.

Those funding sources are the taxpayer financed US Agency for International Development (USAID) at 54%, the Omidyar Network at 36% which owns both First Look Media and the Intercept, and the also tax paid for National Endowment for Democracy (NED). These funding sources financed the same opposition groups that last month ousted the existing democratically elected Ukraine government from power.

What the Intercept’s senior policy analyst in her February 23^rd tweet conversation failed to mention was that a significant portion of monies for the overthrow came directly from Pierre Omidyar, who for several years had been pouring millions into various neo-liberal NGO’s in Ukraine. It was this interlocking coalition of neo-Nazi groups working on the ground with Omidyar’s backed neo-liberals in Ukraine months in advance of the coup that currently makes up the newly formed coalition government.

This reality certainly does shed light on those “deep dark forces” at work all around the world in the form of one billionaire’s money helping to shape US foreign policy, the same US foreign policy that is synonymous with the neocon agenda for regime change in every nation on earth where a US installed puppet government has not already become a US induced coup benefactor. Despite what Wheeler and Greenwald say, these “deep dark forces” do simultaneously cast a long dark shadow on the professed free press independence of their billionaire owned Intercept.

After the Pando article Ms. Wheeler subsequently responded in a tweet that the allegations connecting her boss to financing the Ukraine coup were inaccurate, yet apparently did not elaborate beyond her cursory denial. Instead within twenty-four hours, Glenn Greenwald on the Intercept was pointing out that Pierre Omidyar disclosed his financial contributions to the Ukrainian “pro-democracy” groups on the Omidyar Network website way back in September 2011, insisting that because there was complete transparency from the beginning with Omidyar’s Ukraine investment, there really was no story at all. Even to the most casual observer a regime changing billionaire as the boss of the only two holders (Greenwald and colleague Laura Poitras also at Intercept) entrusted with all of Snowden’s NSA documents might create a conflict of interest. Minimally, it raises viable questions about unbiased press and conflict of interest. That said, it is important to also point out that reporter Mark Ames’ Pando website is also financed by a bunch of Silicon Valley billionaires, one of whose views Ames’ admitted are “repugnant” to him. But as Pando editor Paul Carr asserted in his March 1^st rebuttal to Greenwald, the Pando financiers stay far and away out of their newsroom whereas Jeremy Scahill openly admitted to the Daily Beast that, “Pierre writes more on our internal messaging than anyone else,” which sounds very “hands-on” in implementation of his boss’ vision that Scahill also alludes is so important to Omidyar.
 
So we now know that Omidyar the billionaire is passionate about co-financing regime changes with the US government and with hands-on passion also invests another quarter million dollars on a media outlet that his hired guns claim will battle that very same US government. More conflict of interest?
 
If an independent journalist unencumbered by his or her boss writes about anything that is honestly reported, exercising first amendment right of free press, then the particular boss should become a non-issue. However, who is to know? The differential power influence between an owner-supervisor over an employee may be so subtle that it is even too imperceptible for the employee’s awareness to discern. It certainly poses another gray area in life if not a dangerous slippery slope where the need for honest transparency is essential.

Much has been written and said about all the onetime free spirited, independent-minded mavericks from the world of politics (“elected-on-hope” Obama and current right wing reactionary McCain come to mind), to journalists, inventors, entrepreneurs and artists with initially spotless reputations for integrity and ultra-independence, being courted and then co-opted with enormous cash buyouts, and subsequently subsumed and controlled by larger powerful forces and entities.

These latest developments within the alternative news world may in fact give impetus to the need for increased oversight if not producing an outright credibility crisis that thins the ranks of so called truthful, accurate reporting while inflating the ranks of the less than honest, controlled media outlets coming from both the political left and the political right. Ultimately in today’s complicated world responsible consumers are relegated to having to do their own homework, taking the extra time to seek out and critically examine the more rarefied, still reputable, less biased news sources. Readily available truth in the modern world is very hard to come by.

March 17, 2014 – I”m amazed the amount that people mock God on television.  Bill Maher has always made it clear that he is an atheist so I am not shocked at his words.  However, if you look around at who is with him you will see people that have a lot of influence in the entertainment industry. Remember, these people have shows that are watched by the millions.
It is important that we pay attention to who we let influence us.  If they are openly against God, we need to consider cutting that out of our lives completely.

Late night comedian Bill Maher expressed disbelief Friday that 60 percent of Americans are “stupid” enough to believe the tale of Noah’s ark is literally true and questioned why individuals worship God, who he described as a “psychotic mass murderer.”
“Isn’t life hard enough without making s*** up out of thin air to f*** with yourself?” he asked.
Maher — who is atheist and produced an anti-religion film years ago — said he believes that the tale of Noah’s ark is not only false, but also “immoral.”

“It’s about a psychotic mass murderer who gets away with it and his name is God.”

Living Tissue Emerges From 3-D Printer

March 16, 2014 – Harvard bioengineers say they have taken a big step toward using 3-D printers to make living tissue. They’ve made a machine with multiple printer heads that each extrudes a different biological building block to make complex tissue and blood vessels.
Their work represents a significant advance toward producing living medical models upon which drugs could be tested for safety and effectiveness.
It also advances the ball in the direction of an even bigger goal. Such a machine and the techniques being refined by researchers offer a glimpse of the early steps in a sci-fi healthcare scenario: One day surgeons might feed detailed CT scans of human body parts into a 3-D printer, manipulate them with design software, and produce healthy replacements for diseased or injured tissues or organs.

“This is the foundational step toward creating 3-D living tissue,” said Jennifer Lewis, senior author of the study published Feb. 18 in the journal Advanced Materials, in a university release.
The work, performed at Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, allows engineers to embed vascular networks into 3-D printed cellular agglomerations. These tiny vessels are critical to increasing the size of synthesized tissues because they provide a path for nutrients in and wastes out of cells laid down deep inside the printed products. Such networks mimic those found in natural tissues.
To make the tissue construct, Lewis’s team produced three “bio-inks” that are laid down by separate printer heads. One ink contains extracellular matrix, a complex mixture of water, proteins and carbohydrates that connects individual cells together to form tissues. Another contains extracellular matrix and living cells. A third used to make the vessels unusually melts as it cools so that researchers could chill the sample and suck out the ink to leave behind hollow tubes.
Lewis and her team can then seed the hollow tubes with endothelial cells, which grow into blood-vessel lining.
“Tissue engineers have been waiting for a method like this,” said the Wyss Institute’s Dr. Don Ingber. “The ability to form functional vascular networks in 3D tissues before they are implanted not only enables thicker tissues to be formed, it also raises the possibility of surgically connecting these networks to the natural vasculature to promote immediate perfusion of the implanted tissue, which should greatly increase their engraftment and survival.”

Report: 9/11-style plot linked to missing Malaysian jet

March 16, 2014 – An alleged plot by Malaysian Islamists to hijack a passenger jet, in a similar style to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, has been linked to the disappearance of Flight MH370, Britain’s Telegraphreported on Saturday.
The connection to the Malaysia Airlines flight, which went missing on March 8, is now being investigated following claims from an al-Qaeda “supergrass” who spoke of a Malaysian plot in a New York court last week.
Saajid Badat, a British-born Muslim from Gloucester, had said that four to five Malaysian men had been planning to take control of a plane, using a bomb hidden in a shoe to blow open the cockpit door, according to the newspaper.
But in one of the most shocking revelations, Badat said that he had met the Malaysian jihadists in Afghanistan, given them a shoe bomb to use to take control of an aircraft, and that one of them was a pilot.
Badat had been giving evidence at the trial in New York of Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law. He told the court via video- ink that he believed the Malaysians, including the pilot, were “ready to perform an act.”
During his meeting with the Malaysian jihadists, Badat said the possibility was raised that the cockpit door might be locked. He told the court: “So I said, ‘How about I give you one of my bombs to open a cockpit door?’
“I gave one of my shoes to the Malaysians. I think it was to access the cockpit,” he said. Badat was jailed for 13 years in 2005 for his part in a conspiracy with the “shoe bomber” Richard Reid to blow up a transatlantic jet.
The Telegraph reported: “Badat, who spoke via video link and is in hiding in the UK, said the Malaysian plot was being masterminded by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the principal architect of 9/11.
“The disclosure that Malaysians were plotting a 9/11-style attack raises the prospect that both pilots were overpowered and the plane intended for use as a fuel-filled bomb. One possible target, if the scenario is correct, will have been the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, a symbol of Malaysia’s modernity and the world’s tallest buildings from 1998 until 2004,” The Telegraph added.
Speaking to The Telegraph, an unnamed British security source said: “These spectaculars take a long time in the planning.”
The information comes amid mounting evidence that Flight MH370 was hijacked as Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razakrevealed on Saturday that the Boeing 777’s communications systems had been deliberately switched off “by someone on the plane” and that the plane flew for up to seven hours after civilian radar lost touch with it.
Najib’s revelations effectively ruled out earlier theories of a catastrophic mechanical failure or mid-air explosion, but raised the disturbing scenario of a potential hijack, attempted terror attack or rogue action by a member of the crew.

All eyes on the pilot

The pilot of the flight, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, is also increasingly being spotlighted by the media, after it was reported by Britain’s Mail on Sunday that he was an ‘obsessive’ supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim.
According to the report, Shah had also attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years just hours before he took control of Flight MH370. Police sources now fear that Shah was “profoundly upset” by the court ruling.
In a police search of his house in the upmarket Kuala Lumpur suburb of Shah Alam, a home-made flight simulator was reportedly found.
“Investigators had already spent much of last week examining two laptops removed from Shah’s home. One is believed to contain data from the simulator,” the Daily Mail reported.
Information disclosed on Saturday by Malaysian included news that plane flew towards either Indonesia or to Kazakhstan after the transponder and messaging systems were disabled.
