Michael Allen “Mike” Adams a.k.a. The Health Ranger (born 1969 or 1967 in Lawrence, KS) is publisher of Natural News (formerly News Target) which promotes alternative health and natural lifestyle products online. He is an ardent anti-biotech, pro-organic advocate who claims biotech scientists “are the most despicable humanoids to walk the face of this planet” and that they promote corporate “junk science” and are anti-human.[1] In what Adams calls ‘murder by science’ if the precautionary principle is not observed, he warns that GMOs are a risk to all life that will cause ‘ecocide’ across the plant if allowed to be release.[2]
[Read latest GLP coverage of Mike Adams, May 16, 2014: NaturalNews’ Mike Adams bullies Forbes, GLP, maybe himself for libeling “quack” health practices
Adams conspiracy theories are not limited to GMOs, but, critics say, include anti-vaccine, Obama 'birther,' HIV/AIDS denial and even Global Warming denialism for which Science 2.0 blogger Mark Hoofnagle notes, Adams "anti-government conspiratorial tendencies with his overriding naturalistic fantasy to decide the government (and Al Gore) are conspiring to destroy our power infrastructure with carbon taxes..."[3]

Career

Mike Adams, the self-styled “Health Ranger”, is the founder and owner of NaturalNews. According to his own website his interest in alternative nutrition was sparked by developing type II diabetes.[4] He is a raw foods enthusiast and “holistic nutritionist”. He claims to eat no processed foods, dairy, sugar, meat from mammals or food products containing additives such as MSG[5] and has also contributed to Infowars.com. Adams neither cites nor provides any specifics as to formal education or training he may have other than to claim he “has a four-year bachelor of science degree from a prominent university in the Midwest. He has minors in mathematics and economics.” Adding, he “began to attend college before graduating from high school. His claims his early college coursework included microbiology and genetics” as support for his “strong academic background in the sciences.”[6]
According to his site, Adams got into top physical shape using natural products and exercise after curing himself of diabetes at the age of 30. He believes “the vast majority of all diseases can be easily prevented and even cured without drugs or surgery. His current self-promoted mission is to educate people about their health and uncover the “truth” about “harmful” prescriptions drugs and medical practices. Adams bases his U.S. operations in Cody, Wyoming and Tucson, Arizona while residing in various other reported locations including Austin Texas and Ecuador (see “personal” tab below).
Adams has promoted such causes as AIDS denialism, 9/11 truther conspiracies, Barack Obama citizenship ‘birther’ claims and is believer in ‘dangerous’ chemtrails and the ‘danger’ of vaccines. His site endorses conspiracy theories surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and has endorsed Burzynski: Cancer Is Serious Business, a movie about Stanislaw Burzynski and his clinic[7] promoting unproven cancer treatments linked to numerous FDA warnings and lawsuits for insurance fraud.[8] Physician blogger Steven Novella characterizes Adams as “a dangerous conspiracy-mongering crank.”Mike Adams Takes On “Skeptics”,

Adam’s “Lab”
Adams is a self-described holistic nutritionist, an advocate of consumer privacy laws, a supporter of the now-defunct California anti-spam law, and an avid writer and researcher on a variety of topics ranging from alternative health to political conspiracies. In 2014 he launched a “food lab” where he claims to conduct tests the results of which he publishes claiming he finds high heavy metal and other toxin levels in foods and products for which compares with lines of products offered for sale on his website which his tests conveniently claim are free from such products.
He claims that his websites employs 10 people and that he receive income from Google AdWords displayed on each page, although it is unlikely these contextual ads could support such a large staff and the activities engaged in by Adams. In 2007 Adams promised to launch a new US-based 501C3 non-profit charitable organization called “Nutrition For Expectant Mothers” (NFEM)[9] that he claimed would provide free educational materials about nutrition and health to birth centers across North America.[10] Adams appears to have registered www.nefm.org; however, there has been no formal 501c3 tax filings made with the IRS. The site is not yet live and the registration was done through a third-party, off-shore privacy service.
Adams SealMike Adams is also executive director of the “Consumer Wellness Research Center” (a.k.a. Terra Christa Communications, Inc.), which was created as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 1995 but has failed to filed IRS tax returns for the group since 2003.[11] The organization, however, continues to promote “grant making” activities listing recipients into 2011 while soliciting donations and listing sponsors on its website.[12] The site proclaims, “The CWC needs your support right now to launch its Prenatal Wellness Program.” Adams corporate sponsor on this site is Integrated Health Products, whose supplements carry the Mike Adams/Natural News Seal of Approval.[13]
In 1998 Adams launched the Y2K Newswire promoting apocalyptic claims of impending disaster[14] offering sales of emergency preparedness products and foods.[15] Similarly, following the 2011 Fukushima nuclear accident, Adams promoted claims of cancer-causing contamination reaching American cities and offering sales of “FDA approved” potassium iodide treatments and storable uncontaminated super foods for purchase from the Natural News online store.
Adams has been described in his own promotional materials as “a pioneer in the application of technology to online commerce.” He claims to have invented the PC’s first permission email marketing software application in 1993 and founded Cody, Wyoming & Tucson, Arizona-based Arial Software — now considered one of the most successful permission email software firms in the world. Adams business interests reportedly include e-mail marketing services used by nutraceutical, alternative health and natural products companies. Publicly Adams is an outspoken opponent of spam (although he is accused of being a spammer himself; see below) and a strong advocate of permission marketing, believing that customer trust is a prerequisite for constructive company / customer relations. Adams claims to be a firm believer in the power of the Internet to add value and meaning to the lives of people everywhere. “The Internet is the medium through which we can collectively improve the quality of life for people everywhere,” he has written. “The Internet allows us to share information, ideas and knowledge at the speed of thought, at virtually no cost.” Truth in Publishing NewsTarget (Natural News) is Adams’ flagship online marketing venture.

Publishing

Truth Publishing
Truth Publishing
Adams runs News Target (Natural News) health Web publishing organization ‘based’ overseas in Taiwan under the name Truth Publishing which lists its address as 2055 N. Kolb Road in Tuscon, AZ (a vacant building currently listed available for lease). Truth in Publishing appears to be a foreign business name which operated in the U.S. under “Webseed” — an Arizona “retail sales” corporation registered in Mike Adams’ wife’s name listing him as president and director at a private mail boxes location.[16] Via Natural News publishing Mike Adams makes a wide range of conspiracy claims ranging from government controlled “weather weapons”[17] to government-corporate conspiracies involving chemtrails and GMOs to commit genocide.
According to reports published by Adams, he became involved with Truth Publishing and became its “primary writer;” however, earlier postings by Adams refer to him as the organization’s founder and CEO. In addition to producing the NewsTarget.com alternative news site, Truth Publishing also publishes an array of cookbooks, natural health guides and other reports and books focusing on alternative health, natural and organic products. Adams claims half a million people read his articles each month. According to Adams, Google Adsense administers all the ads on NewsTarget, and he only earns a modest income from the site and his book royalties. There are several other Web sites with similar natural and alternative health information in the Truth Publishing family of sites, on which Adams is highly visible. However, Adams’ site(s) include a wide range of non-Google promotional advertising banners linked to alternative health sales sponsors whose products are then touted and endorsed by Adams in his various natural and alternative health “news” publications.
Adams cross-posts content and he frequently promotes the work of other alternative health influencers, including frequent pharmaceutical industry critics Dr. Joe Mercola and Sepp Hassleberg, and anti-GMO conspiracy activists such as Jeffrey Smith, who funds his one-man NGO the Insitute for Responsible Technology, and Ronnie Cummins of the Organic Consumers Association. He similarly supports and joins in lobbying and marketing efforts of such groups as the Organic Consumers Association and Cornucopia Institute (a non-profit front group for Organic Valley Cooperative) extending his reach beyond health to food and nutrition groups. He was a major supporter and noted funder of the California Prop 37 campaign to require labeling of GMO foods.
Adams has been called a “spammer” and fraud artist by “watch-dog groups, who note: “Adams is not a Medical Doctor he has registered or operates a string of fake health advice websites which include prenatalnutrition.org, expectant-mothers.com, NewsTarget.com, HoodiaFactor.com, EmergingFuture.com, SpamAnatomy.com, VitaminFactor.org, CounterThink.com, HealthFactor.info, JunkScience.info, BrainHealthNews.com, LowCholesterolDiets.DietsLink.com, PublicHealthNews.org, PharmaWatch.info, HomeToxins.com, PoisonPantry.org, DepressionFactor.org, webseed.com and ConsumerWellness.org to name a few.[18]
Adams main site information says: “The NewsTarget Network is owned and operated by Truth Publishing International, Ltd., a Taiwan corporation. It is not recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit in the United States, but it operates without a profit incentive, and its key writer, Mike Adams, receives absolutely no payment for his time, articles or books other than reimbursement for items purchased in order to conduct product reviews.”
However, Adams solicits various advertising fees and sponsorships via Truth Publishing Fulfillment based in Tuscon, Arizona via his website.[19]

Arial Software

Adams is the (former) CEO of Arial Software (he says he sold his ownership stake in 2007), which boasted such clients as Microsoft, Ebay, Gas Stations USA, DHL and XM Satellite Radio. The company claimed to have more than 10,000 customers who purchased his e-mail marketing software packages ranging in price from $985 to $5,000. One analysis pegged his company sales at between $10 and $50 million.[20] Arial’s email marketing software has been characterized as “spamware” which the company promotes as features that help marketers avoid sending email that look like and is blocked by spam filters.[21]
Arial Software was the original registrant for Adams “Webseed” venture and webseed.com domain under which he now operates Truth Publishing and Natural News in Tuscon, AZ.[22] Arial Software was acquired by San Clemente Technologies, Inc.[23]

Influence

Adam’s claims more than 360,000 “confirmed, double-opt-in” subscribers to his daily newsletter and more than 4 million unique monthly visitors to his website(s).[24] Third party rating service Compete.com estimates NaturalNews.com traffic alone at about 1.4 million visitors per month and ranks the site 1,814 (in the same category range as the Mayo Clinic ranked 1,476).[25] By comparison, the U.S. government’s official cancer website Cancer.gov gets about 1/2 the estimated monthly traffic (700,000) compared with Adams and the NIH National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine website receives only an estimated 73,000 visitors and is not even ranked.[26]
Beyond Adams various publication and online news syndicates, his articles frequently appear as news service slugged content in alternative and natural health publications,[27] indy news sources[28][29] and mainstream overseas news publications. Forbes Magazine green technology and environment contributor Jeff McMahon sometimes links to Adam’s stories in his articles and states he is “a reader and a fan of Natural News” while critical of how the site handles corrections.[30]

Advocacy

Adams has been active in various conspiracy campaigns.  Adams is a frequent and ardent opponent of vaccinations [31] promoting claims that flu and other vaccines are dangerous risks to human health and linked to autism and other disorders.[32]. He believes in the danger of chemtrails. Most recently he has focused much of his time on anti-GMO lobbying. Adams was a frequently noted as an influential player drumming up support and funding the Prop 37 anti-GMO labeling campaign in California.

Criticisms

Phil Plait accused Adams of using Sockpuppet (Internet) accounts to inflate vote counts in the Shorty Awards (Joe Mercola was also accused of doing this)[33] specifically in response to a skeptical campaign to upvote Dr. Rachel Dunlop. After he lost as a result of having his fraudulent votes revoked, he posted a number of articles criticizing the Shorty Awards.[34] Dan Berger draws alt-med cartoons for them, though Adams comes up with the concepts.
Among Adams most outspoken critics are David Gorski (Orac) of ScienceBlogs,[35] who says NaturalNews is “one of the most wretched hives of scum and quackery on the Internet,” and called him the most “blatant purveyor of the worst kind of quackery and paranoid anti-physician and anti-medicine conspiracy theories anywhere on the Internet”,[36] as well as Peter Bowditch of the website Ratbags,[37] and Jeff McMahon writing for Forbes.[38] Steven Novella has called NaturalNews “a crank alt med site that promotes every sort of medical nonsense imaginable. If it is unscientific, antiscientific, conspiracy-mongering, or downright silly, Mike Adams appears to be all for it – whatever sells the “natural” products he hawks on his site.”.[39]
Other critics of Adams’ website include astronomer and blogger Phil Plait,[40] PZ Myers,[41] and Brian Dunning, who listed it as #1 on his “Top 10 Worst Anti-Science Websites” list.[42] Adams is listed as a “promoter of questionable methods” by Quackwatch[43] and Robert T. Carroll at The Skeptic’s Dictionary has said, “Natural News is not a very good source for information. If you don’t trust me on this, go to Respectful Insolence or any of the other bloggers on ScienceBlogs and do a search for “Natural News” or “Mike Adams” (who is NaturalNews). Hundreds of entries will be found and not one of them will have a good word to say about Mike Adams as a source.”[44]

Mentions by scientists

  • Brian Dunning, as noted above, pointed out that NaturalNews is very influential, saying “For its frighteningly large influence, and abysmal quality of information, it earns the #1 spot on this list [of anti-science websites." This influence has led peer-reviewed papers to actually mention it, for example, Wayne Parrott of the University of Georgia in the journal New Biotechnology wrote an article defending genetically modified food and, as an example of the allegations he was addressing, included a NaturalNews article.
  • Maureen Watson et al. wrote an article in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health regarding the HPV vaccine Gardasil in South Australia, and used this article as an example of fear-mongering on this topic.
  • Neil Seeman et al. in the Canadian journal Healthcare Quarterly published a study called "Assessing and Responding in Real Time to Online Anti-vaccine Sentiment during a Flu Pandemic." NaturalNews has a long history of criticizing the flu vaccine as ineffective and dangerous. In appendix 1, they outline 20 search results about the safety of the H1N1 vaccine; an article on NaturalNews[45] appeared as #16 on the list.
Some counter conspiracy, conspiracy believers claim Adams is in fact a plant to undermine the natural products industry.[46]

Bibliography and Resources

Personal

Mike Adams marketing claim:  “Mike Adams is no stranger to traditional Western medicine. The son of a Pfizer contractor and a clinical trial tester for some of America’s biggest pharmaceutical companies, Mike grew up using prescribed pharmaceuticals, trusting doctors and believing what the FDA reported was safe and in the best interests of the country. All that would change when Mike was faced with his own personal health emergency, and the pillars of medicine he once trusted came crumbling down before him. Mike began his mission as the Health Ranger as a response to his own failing health. At the age of 30, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, a disease brought on by poor diet and severe lack of exercise. As a high-powered software executive, extreme levels of stress and cholesterol, depression and chronic back pain were common features of Mike’s past. Searching for answers to his health woes, Mike dove into research; he devoured thousands of books on nutrition, pharmaceutical drugs, wellness programs, the politics of food — anything he could find. Mike has now made it his life mission to share the most remarkable discovery he made on his quest: the vast majority of all diseases can be easily prevented and even cured without drugs or surgery. And that’s exactly what Mike did. He cured himself of diabetes in a matter of months and transformed himself into the picture of perfect health in mind, body and spirit.”

HOW TO IDENTIFY CIA LIMITED HANG OUT OP ?

20130619-075507.jpg
By Webster Griffin TARPLEY, for PressTV
The operations of secret intelligence agencies aiming at the manipulation of public opinion generally involve a combination of cynical deception with the pathetic gullibility of the targeted populations.
There is ample reason to believe that the case of Edward Joseph Snowden fits into this pattern. We are likely dealing here with a limited hangout operation, in which carefully selected and falsified documents and other materials are deliberately revealed by an insider who pretends to be a fugitive rebelling against the excesses of some oppressive or dangerous government agency.
But the revelations turn out to have been prepared with a view to shaping the public consciousness in a way which is advantageous to the intelligence agency involved. At the same time, gullible young people can be duped into supporting a personality cult of the leaker, more commonly referred to as a “whistleblower.” A further variation on the theme can be the attempt of the sponsoring intelligence agency to introduce their chosen conduit, now posing as a defector, into the intelligence apparatus of a targeted foreign government. In this case, the leaker or whistleblower attains the status of a triple agent.
Any attempt to educate public opinion about the dynamics of limited hangout operations inevitably collides with the residue left in the minds of millions by recent successful examples of this technique. It will be hard for many to understand Snowden, precisely because they will insist on seeing him as the latest courageous example in a line of development which includes Daniel Ellsberg and Julian Assange, both still viewed by large swaths of naïve opinion as authentic challengers of oppressive government.
This is because the landmark limited hangout operation at the beginning of the current post-Cold War era was that of Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon papers, which laid the groundwork for the CIA’s Watergate attack on the Nixon administration, and more broadly, on the office of the presidency itself. More recently, we have had the case of Assange and Wikileaks. Using these two cases primarily, we can develop a simple typology of the limited hangout operation which can be of significant value to those striving to avoid the role of useful idiots amidst the current cascade of whistleblowers and limited hangout artists.
In this analysis, we should also recall that limited hangouts have been around for a very long time. In 1620 Fra Paolo Sarpi, the dominant figure of the Venetian intelligence establishment of his time, advised the Venetian senate that the best way to defeat anti-Venetian propaganda was indirectly. He recommended the method of saying something good about a person or institution while pretending to say something bad. An example might be criticizing a bloody dictator for beating his dog – the real dimensions of his crimes are thus totally underplayed.
Limited hangout artists are instant media darlings
The most obvious characteristic of the limited hangout operative is that he or she immediately becomes the darling of the controlled corporate media. In the case of Daniel Ellsberg, his doctored set of Pentagon papers were published by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, and eventually by a consortium totaling seventeen corporate newspapers. These press organs successfully argued the case for publication all the way to the United States Supreme Court, where they prevailed against the Nixon administration.
Needless to say, surviving critics of the Warren Commission, and more recent veterans of the 9/11 truth movement, and know very well that this is emphatically not the treatment reserved for messengers whose revelations are genuinely unwelcome to the Wall Street centered US ruling class. These latter are more likely to be slandered, vilified and dragged through the mud, or, even more likely, passed over in complete silence and blacked out. In extreme cases, they can be kidnapped, renditioned or liquidated.

Cass Sunstein present at the creation of Wikileaks
As for Assange and Wikileaks, the autumn 2010 document dump was farmed out in advance to five of the most prestigious press organs in the world, including the New York Times, the London Guardian, El Pais of Madrid, Der Spiegel of Hamburg, and Le Monde of Paris. This was the Assange media cartel, made up of papers previously specialized in discrediting 9/11 critics and doubters. But even before the document dumps had begun, Wikileaks had received a preemptive endorsement from none other than the notorious totalitarian Cass Sunstein, later an official of the Obama White House, and today married to Samantha Power, the author of the military coup that overthrew Mubarak and currently Obama’s pick for US ambassador to the United Nations. Sunstein is infamous for his thesis that government agencies should conduct covert operations using pseudo-independent agents of influence for the “cognitive infiltration of extremist groups” – meaning of those who reject in the establishment view of history and reality. Sunstein’s article entitled “Brave New WikiWorld” was published in the Washington Post of February 24, 2007, and touted the capabilities of Wikileaks for the destabilization of China. Perhaps the point of Ed Snowden’s presence in Hong Kong is to begin re-targeting these capabilities back towards the original anti-Chinese plan.
Snowden has already become a media celebrity of the first magnitude. His career was launched by the US left liberal Glenn Greenwald, now writing for the London Guardian, which expresses the viewpoints of the left wing of the British intelligence community. Thus, the current scandal is very much Made in England, and may benefit from inputs from the British GCHQ of Cheltenham, the Siamese twin of the NSA at Fort Meade, Maryland. During the days of his media debut, it was not uncommon to see a controlled press organ like CNN dedicating one third of every broadcast hour of air time to the birth, life, and miracles of Ed Snowden.
Another suspicious and tell-tale endorsement for Snowden comes from the former State Department public diplomacy asset Norman Solomon. Interviewed on RT, Solomon warmly embraced the Snowden Project and assured his viewers that the NSA material dished up by the Hong Kong defector used reliable and authentic. Solomon was notorious ten years ago as a determined enemy of 9/11 truth, acting as a border guard in favor of the Bush administration/neocon theory of terrorism.
Limited hangouts contain little that is new
Another important feature of the limited hangout operation if that the revelations often contain nothing new, but rather repackage old wine in new bottles. In the case of Ellsberg’s Pentagon Papers, very little was revealed which was not already well known to a reader of Le Monde or the dispatches of Agence France Presse. Only those whose understanding of world affairs had been filtered through the Associated Press, CBS News, the New York Times, and the Washington Post found any of Ellsberg’s material a surprise.
Of course, there was method in Ellsberg’s madness. The Pentagon papers allegedly derived from an internal review of the decision-making processes leading to the Vietnam War, conducted after 1967-68 under the supervision of Morton Halperin and Leslie Gelb. Ellsberg, then a young RAND Corporation analyst and militant warmonger, was associated with this work. Upon examination, we find that the Pentagon papers tend to cover up such CIA crimes as the mass murder mandated under Operation Phoenix, and the massive CIA drug running associated with the proprietary airline Air America. Rather, when atrocities are in question, the US Army generally receives the blame. Politicians in general, and President John F. Kennedy in particular, are portrayed in a sinister light – one might say demonized. No insights whatever into the Kennedy assassination are offered. This was a smelly concoction, and it was not altogether excluded that the radicalized elements of the Vietnam era might have carried the day in denouncing the entire package as a rather obvious fabrication. But a clique around Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn loudly intervened to praise the quality of the exposé and to lionize Ellsberg personally as a new culture hero for the Silent Generation. From that moment on, the careers of Chomsky and Zinn soared. Pentagon papers skeptics, like the satirical comedian Mort Sahl, a supporter of the Jim Garrison investigation in New Orleans and a critic of the Warren Commission, faced the marginalization of their careers.
Notice also that the careers of Morton Halperin and Leslie Gelb positively thrived after they entrusted the Pentagon papers to Ellsberg, who revealed them. Ellsberg was put on trial in 1973, but all charges were dismissed after several months because of prosecutorial misconduct. Assange lived like a lord for many months in the palatial country house of an admirer in the East of England, and is now holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. He spent about 10 days in jail in December 2010.
Assange first won credibility for Wikileaks with some chum in the form of a shocking film showing a massacre perpetrated by US forces in Iraq with the aid of drones. The massacre itself and the number of victims were already well known, so Assange was adding only the graphic emotional impact of witnessing the atrocity firsthand.
Limited hangouts reveal nothing about big issues like JFK, 9/11
Over the past century, there are certain large-scale covert operations which cast a long historical shadow, determining to some extent the framework in which subsequent events occur. These include the Sarajevo assassinations of 1914, the assassination of Rasputin in late 1916, Mussolini’s 1922 march on Rome, Hitler’s seizure of power in 1933, the assassination of French Foreign Minister Barthou in 1934, the assassination of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945, in 1963 Kennedy assassination, and 9/11. A common feature of the limited hangout operations is that they offer almost no insights into these landmark events.
In the Pentagon Papers, the Kennedy assassination is virtually a nonexistent event about which we learn nothing. As already noted, the principal supporters of Ellsberg were figures like Chomsky, whose hostility to JFK and profound disinterest in critiques of the Warren Commission were well-known. As for Assange, he rejects any further clarification of 9/11. In July 2010, Assange told Matthew Bell of the Belfast Telegraph: “I’m constantly annoyed that people are distracted by false conspiracies such as 9/11, when all around we provide evidence of real conspiracies, for war or mass financial fraud.” This is on top of Cass Sunstein’s demand for active covert measures to suppress and disrupt inquiries into operations like 9/11. Snowden’s key backers Glenn Greenwald and Norman Solomon have both compiled impressive records of evasion on 9/11 truth, with Greenwald specializing in the blowback theory.
The Damascus road conversions of limited hangout figures
Daniel Ellsberg started his career as a nuclear strategist of the Dr. Strangelove type working for the RAND Corporation. He worked in the Pentagon as an aide to US Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. He then went to Vietnam, where he served as a State Department civilian assistant to CIA General Edward Lansdale. In 1967, he was back at RAND to begin the preparation of what would come to be known as the Pentagon papers. Ellsberg has claimed that his Damascus Road conversion from warmonger to peace angel occurred when he heard a speech from a prison-bound draft resister at Haverford College in August 1969. After a mental breakdown, Ellsberg began taking his classified documents to the office of Senator Edward Kennedy and ultimately to the New York Times. Persons who believe this fantastic story may be suffering from terminal gullibility.
In the case of Assange, it is harder to identify such a moment of conversion. Assange spent his childhood in the coils of MK Ultra, a complex of Anglo-American covert operations designed to investigate and implement mind control through the use of psychopharmaca and other means. Assange was a denizen of the Ann Hamilton-Byrne cult, in which little children that were subjected to aversive therapy involving LSD and other heavy-duty drugs. Assange spent his formative years as a wandering nomad with his mother incognito because of her involvement in a custody dispute. The deracinated Assange lived in 50 different towns and attended 37 different schools. By the age of 16, the young nihilist was active as a computer hacker using the screen name “Mendax,” meaning quite simply “The Liar.” (Assange’s clone Snowden uses the more marketable codename of “Verax,” the truth teller.) Some of Assange’s first targets were Nortel and US Air Force offices in the Pentagon. Assange’s chief mentor became John Young of Cryptome, who in 2007 denounced Wikileaks as a CIA front.
Snowden’s story, as widely reported, goes like this: he dropped out of high school and also dropped out of a community college, but reportedly was nevertheless later able to command a salary of between $120,000 and $200,000 per year; he claims this is because he is a computer wizard. He enlisted in the US Army in May 2004, and allegedly hoped to join the special forces and contribute to the fight for freedom in Iraq. He then worked as a low-level security guard for the National Security Agency, and then went on to computer security at the CIA, including a posting under diplomatic cover in Switzerland. He moved on to work as a private contractor for the NSA at a US military base in Japan. His last official job was for the NSA at the Kunia Regional SIGINT Operations Center in Hawaii. In May 2013, he is alleged to have been granted medical leave from the NSA in Hawaii to get treatment for epilepsy. He fled to Hong Kong, and made his revelations with the help of Greenwald and a documentary filmmaker Laura Poitras. Snowden voted for the nominally anti-war, ultra-austerity “libertarian” presidential candidate Ron Paul, and gave several hundred dollars to Paul’s campaign.
Snowden, like Ellsberg, thus started off as a warmonger but later became more concerned with the excesses of the Leviathan state. Like Assange, he was psychologically predisposed to the world of computers and cybernetics. The Damascus Road shift from militarist to civil libertarian remains unexplained and highly suspicious.
Snowden is also remarkable for the precision of his timing. His first revelations, open secrets though they were, came on June 5, precisely today when the rebel fortress of Qusayr was liberated by the Syrian army and Hezbollah. At this point, the British and French governments were screaming at Obama that it was high time to attack Syria. The appearance of Snowden’s somewhat faded material in the London Guardian was the trigger for a firestorm of criticism against the Obama regime by the feckless US left liberals, who were thus unwittingly greasing the skids for a US slide into a general war in the Middle East. More recently, Snowden came forward with allegations that the US and the British had eavesdropped on participants in the meeting of the G-20 nations held in Britain four years ago. This obviously put Obama on the defensive just as Cameron and Hollande were twisting his arm to start the Syrian adventure. By attacking the British GCHQ at Cheltenham, Britain’s equivalent to the NSA, perhaps Snowden was also seeking to obfuscate the obvious British sponsorship of his revelations.
Stories about Anglo Americans spying on high profile guests are as old as the hills, and have included a British frogman who attempted an underwater investigation of the Soviet cruiser that brought party leader N. S. Khrushchev for a visit in the 1950s. Snowden has also accused the NSA of hacking targets in China — again, surely no surprise to experienced observers, but guaranteed to increase Sino-American tensions. As time passes, Snowden may emerge as more and more of a provocateur between Washington and Beijing.
Limited hangouts prepare large covert operations
Although, as we have seen, limited hangouts rarely illuminate the landmark covert operations which attempt to define an age, limited hangouts themselves do represent the preparation for future covert operations.
In the case of the Pentagon papers, this and other leaks during the Indo-Pakistani Tilt crisis were cited by Henry Kissinger in his demand that President Richard Nixon take countermeasures to restore the integrity of state secrets. Nixon foolishly authorized the creation of a White House anti-leak operation known as the Plumbers. The intelligence community made sure that the Plumbers operation was staffed by their own provocateurs, people who never were loyal to Nixon but rather took their orders from Langley. Here we find the already infamous CIA agent Howard Hunt, the CIA communications expert James McCord, and the FBI operative G. Gordon Liddy. These provocateurs took special pains to get arrested during an otherwise pointless break-in at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in the summer of 1972. Nixon could easily have disavowed the Plumbers and thrown this gaggle of agent provocateurs to the wolves, but he instead launched a cover up. Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, equipped with a top secret security clearance from the Office of Naval Intelligence, then began publicizing the story. The rest is history, and the lasting heritage has been a permanent weakening of the office of the presidency and the strengthening of the worst oligarchical tendencies.
Assange’s Wikileaks document dump triggered numerous destabilizations and coups d’état across the globe. Not one US, British, or Israeli covert operation or politician was seriously damaged by this material. The list of those impacted instead bears a striking resemblance to the CIA enemies’ list: the largest group of targets were Arab leaders slated for immediate ouster in the wave of “Arab Spring.” Here we find Ben Ali of Tunisia, Qaddafi of Libya, Mubarak of Egypt, Saleh of Yemen, and Assad of Syria. The US wanted to replace Maliki with Allawi as prime minister of Iraq, so the former was targeted, as was the increasingly independent Karzai of Afghanistan. Perennial targets of the CIA included Rodriguez Kirchner of Argentina, Berlusconi of Italy, and Putin of Russia. Berlusconi soon fell victim to a coup organized through the European Central Bank, while his friend Putin was able to stave off a feeble attempt at color revolution in early 2012. Mildly satiric jabs at figures like Merkel of Germany and Sarkozy of France were included primarily as camouflage.
Assange thus had a hand in preparing one of the largest destabilization campaigns mounted by Anglo-American intelligence since 1968, or perhaps even 1848.
If the Snowden operation can help coerce the vacillating and reluctant Obama to attack Syria, our new autistic hero may claim credit for starting a general war in the Middle East, and perhaps even more. If Snowden can further poison relations between United States and China, the world historical significance of his provocations will be doubly assured. But none of this can occur unless he finds vast legions of eager dupes ready to fall for his act. We hope he won’t.

Batman: Dark Knight Rises – Esoteric Analysis

Note the class warfare element of the poster. Very Ayn Randian.

False Flag shooting event analysis broken here first.
-Spoiler Alert-
Update: The blending of fiction and programming has extended into reality like I predicted, with the New York Police Commissioner (like Commissioner Gordon) saying the villain was “The Joker,” and the NYPD will keep everyone safe from “The Joker” and/or Bane.

Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is the final installment in the Christopher Nolan trilogy and, in my opinion, is excellent.  Like the previous two, the concluding film is just as esoteric and filled with predictive programming as the others, yet stands out as preeminent.  This final film is the climax of this version of revelation of the method par excellance.  The entire essence of this film is concerned with how the system itself operates on the deepest levels—levels far beyond what most people are able to comprehend.  Like the rest of Nolan’s films, this one resonates with a particular Jungian ethos, almost to the level of Inception. In fact, Dark Knight Rises is very similar to Nolan’s Inception, and, believe it or not, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth
In fact, Nolan even takes Dark Knight to the higher esoteric level of including actors from previous films and roles to play them again in this film.  As I myself and Ross have discussed on Jay’s Analysis, this often turns out to be the case, especially in the case of the top Hollywood figures—figures like Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and now, it seems, Rachel Weisz.  Among males you can see it with Robert DeNiro Nicolas Cage, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise.  Granted, some roles are chosen on the basis of having a certain “look” adapted from another role, but as I argue, and as we see in films like Mulholland Drive, roles are often chosen for deeper, occult reasons.  Think about Heath Ledger in Batman: The Dark Knight, and then his role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and then his strange death.
What?” you say, “Why, that’s wacky.”  That’s because your view of the world isn’t the same as those who understand liturgy and ritual.  The study of liturgics is not some dry, dusty, arcane academic discipline for old religionists to haggle about.  Liturgics to those who know, is the very heartbeat of the universe itself.  It is itself the meaning of things.  Granted, one can learn about metaphysics or science in philosophy or at some university, yet these are merely fields that operate in the realm of bare knowledge.  Knowledge itself is lacking in that it is static and merely one of the divine energeia.

All the bad guys rolled into one.
To combine will and action in harmony with intended purpose in the service of God in symbolic act is meaning, and thus all of life becomes a liturgical ritual.  Most ancient religious traditions have some notion of this.  Thus the standard exposition most “conspiracy theorists” and/or critics give is done at the most basic level of plot, interpretation of meaning, technical achievements, and possible “Illuminist” symbols.  While there is a place for all of that, none of them understand the principle of the film itself, including the actors and their own experiences, the set, the script, etc., all coming together at a certain time, with a certain zeitgeist behind it. A couple good books on this I would recommend would be Mircea Eliade’s The Sacred and the Profane, Abraham Heschel’s The Sabbath, and any basic introduction to liturgy.   Such a radical alteration of perception is only achieved by investigation into, and participation in, liturgy.  Those who have experienced this will understand, and those who haven’t will not.  But regardless, films are themselves a kind of ritual ‘working,’ and whether the 99% of the critics out there acknowledge or know this is irrelevant: it is true.

“Baroness, why do I feel like Cobra Commander is wearing a Bane mask and once again ripping off my style and screwing us over?”
In fact, as I write this, it has just happened that several people have been killed in a Dark Knight Rises premier in Colorado.  Readers of this blog will be aware of Colorado being outlined in other films and in reality as a new, more secretive command base for various elite factions.  Think of the Denver Airport and the Columbine events.  The RT article states:

“Police say that the assailant initially opened a gas canister. Witnesses recounted hearing a hissing sound and smoke, and then the shooting started.

Some say that when they first heard the gunfire, they thought it was some new type of special effect.
It was chaotic, it was surreal, it was like in a movie,” one of the witnesses told 9news Denver TV station.
Initial media reports suggested that two gunmen were involved in the rampage. But police later said there was only one person involved as far as they know. The gunman was carrying a rifle and a handgun at the time of his arrest, police said at a media conference. One suspect was taken into police custody.
Witnesses reported seeing a tall, shotgun-wielding man clad in body armor and wearing a gas mask in the theatre. The attacker have set off some kind of a tear gas canister.
An apartment building was evacuated after the suspect told police there were explosives planted there following his apprehension. So far police have failed to find any traces of the alleged bombs.
Police responding to the shooting evacuated the area over fears that an explosive device might be on the premises.
Ten of the victims were killed right on the spot while four others died from injuries in hospital.
Aurora medical services were alerted to attend to the large number of injured. At least 50 people have been taken to hospital following the shooting, although it is not clear yet how many of them are in serious condition.”
(The number “6″ shows up prominently in the film, as a side note.)
Amazingly, this would seem to fit into the plot of the film itself, as the article even explains people stating that it was “like a movie.” Was this a ritual attempt itself?  Was this something planned?  As more details emerge, it will become clearer, but it’s interesting that the shooter was wearing body armor and a gas mask, reminiscent of Bane, the film’s villain.
Bane is who we see immediately, murdering the CIA agent on the plane.  The CIA, representing the classical enemy of the communists, are symbolically disposed of here. We learn eventually that Bane inhabits the underground—appropriate, given that communist syndicates and cells are also the “underground,” much like the Weather Underground.  The underground is preeminent in the film, representing the criminal underground, the underworld of Hades and the underworld of the subconscious.  Bane looks like a cross between Destro (From G.I. Joe), Humongous (from Road Warrior), and Darth Vader.

“Dear Warner Brothers…you have nothing to fear. Please open the door. Cast me as Bane. No one will get hurt. I was Bane before Bane was Bane.”
As archetypal evil, Bane has emerged from the hardship of being born in an underground prison and has risen from “the pit” (it’s referred to the pit and the abyss in the film) to challenge “Western civilization,” which has fallen into a decay and in need of revolution.  This brings to mind the references in the book of Revelation to the demon from the abyss, Apollyon or Abaddon. Bane is several times referred to as a “shadow” a “shade,” a thing from the “dark,” and from the underworld.  Bane is a Satan character, and a member of the League of Shadows.  As you recall, the League of Shadows represents anti-western (far Eastern) secret societies that actually do exist, outlined in my Batman Begins analysis, and used in Alex Jones’ analysis here.  Bane, it’s important to understand, is like the Joker—they are chaotic evil. As chaotic evil, Bane cannot be the evil mastermind.  We will discover that he is not.
Bane leads a literal, all out communist, Leninist, violent revolution with the siege of Gotham (New York).  The violent revolution takes on an eerily similar approach to the French Revolution.  Having studied the French Revolution in-depth in upper level history courses, I was amazed at the similarities.  Bane operates like a Marat, Danton or Robespierre, first by utilizing terror, and freeing the inmates in a move echoing the storming of the Bastille, where the revolutionaries claimed many of the oppressed had been imprisoned by the monarchy (which actually wasn’t true—only a few people were in the old prison).  Scarecrow performs the role of revolutionary judge like Robespierre, sentencing the wealthy to exile or death (exile in this case means death).  In fact, when Bane emerges in the midst of the football game, the camera pans past a section that reads “RED ZONE” – appropriate, given the openly communist nature of Bane.  (Bane is also played by Tom Hardy, who played Eames in Nolan’s Inception.)

Bane is the Satanic red bloody revolutionary seeking radical egalitarianism and total class warfare.
Much like Eyes Wide Shut as I noted in my analysis, masks are common in the film in the background, often on bookshelves.  Masks in Jungian and existentialist analyses refer to the alter ego and or the demonic side.  The dark side is hidden and must be channeled in some form or fashion, lest the “inner Bane” emerge.  In fact, there are even lines in the film to this effect—that Bane emerges from the dark underside of the subconscious.  Dark Knight Rises also has a masked ball scene reminiscent of Eyes Wide Shut, where Batman begins to merge with his anima, who in this film will be Catwoman. As is common in Jungian and alchemical frameworks, the male principle is lacking and imbalanced without the union with the feminine principle.

Athena with the owl of wisdom.
Just as there are communist images behind Bane, there are capitalist and imperial symbols behind Bruce Wayne in many scenes.  Athena can be seen, who from an esoteric perspective fits well into this narrative, as well as Catholic saints like Mary and Paul or Peter. Traditionally seen as the establishment and capitalist, the red revolutionaries opposed these forces as imperial and corrupt.  In Dark Knight Rises, both Bane and Catwoman learn that their communist terrorstorm was a failure—Catwoman in particular realizes the revolution is a failure and is reconciled to Batman and becomes his lover.
It should also be mentioned that in Catwoman’s bedroom a book titled “Labyrinth” is visible, which hearkens to both Labyrinth and Christopher Nolan’s Inception, which is very similar.  (See my analysis of Inception here.) In fact, one of the most fascinating turns is that Batman’s seeming love interest Miranda (Marion Cotillard) is the shade character, and who also turns out to be the Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter.  Marion Cotillard played the shade character in Inception!  The Ra’s al Ghul is a kind of Satan and shade character, and Miranda turns out to be a kind of communist sleeper agent who actually runs the League of Shadows following the death of Ra’s al Ghul.  In regard to Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, the prison where Bane was born, and where Bruce Wayne is banished, is itself laid out like the M.C. Escher based maze in the Henson Labyrinth.  In this Labyrinth, Bruce Wayne must face even deeper personal demons and emerge from the underworld/subconscious prison like Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) had to do.
In “The Process of Individuation” by M.L. von Franz in Carl Jung’s Man and His Symbols, explains of the meaning of the labyrinth as subconscious:
The maze of strange passages, chambers, and unlocked exits in the cellar recalls the old Egyptian representation of the underworld, which is a well-known symbol of the unconscious with its abilities. It also shows how one is “open” to other influences in one’s unconscious shadow side and how uncanny and alien elements can break in.” (pg. 176)

The M.C. Escher/Labyrinth-like prison of Bane – representing the subconscious and the Underworld.
Another important element is the free energy conspiracy, which Bruce Wayne feels the world isn’t ready for.  It’s mentioned as a kind of “fusion” (cold fusion?), which is perfectly clean and free.  Bane kidnaps a Russian scientist who invented it and forces him to arm it. This brings to mind both Mission Impossible 4, The Saint, and The Sum of all Fears—particularly the last in regard to the bomb going off at the NFL game.  In The Sum of all Fears (also starring Morgan Freeman), it’s a nuke during a football game. Bane also engages in an actual armed attack on the NYSE, as well as using a backdoor program to attack the stock market and wipe Wayne Enterprises clean, causing Bruce to go bankrupt.  From a predictive programming perspective, be on the lookout for backdoor attacks on the markets like we see in Live Free or Die Hard, or attacks during a big football game.  Batman and other summer blockbuster films are generally big-time indicators for upcoming terror events. This film in particular should be all the more analyzed, due to the mass murder that just occurred in Colorado at the premier.

Robespierre and his ad hoc national convention.
Bane refers to himself as “necessary evil,” and as the harbinger of a “new form of western civilization.”  This is no mere film, but a powerful working intended to signal coming events—look for a monetary attack and a terror attack intended to bring down western civilization by radical communists influenced by the eastern doctrines of total relativism.  While this film has suddenly been given a lot of bad press, the film is anti-communist.  It does not portray Bane as a good guy, even though the audience is supposed to sympathize with him.  It could be that the film is trying to portray patriots as evil as some have said, but Bane is an all-out, clear-cut radical Jacobin.  Bane is not a Ron Paul style capitalist: He is the antithesis of capitalism and Bruce Wayne.  One of the corporate heads who gets killed is Mr. Fox – as in Fox News. Bane brings to mind Rousseau, in that he constantly claims his revolution is “for the people,” and which amounts to a dictatorship of the proletariat. It is also worth noting that the polive are turned against the people.  Ironically, this is preciely the method that will be used to divide and conquer the U.S.  However, Bane’s revolution fails, as do all communist revolutionaries.  Bruce Wayne, the John Galt character, triumphs. The radical red revolution is crushed: as it should be.
The film ends with Commissioner Gordon reading the famous line from Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities about the French Revolution, quoting him before his guillotine death in the French Revolution:
“It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.”
