How business owners are turning mobile transactions into an industry standard
Small retailers are taking advantage of a high-value offer from Intuit on the company's QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013.
The product has been hailed for its ability to deliver an affordable
end-to-end retail solution that includes desktop POS, merchant services
and mobile payments through their GoPayment product. Now they're putting
even more skin in the game, with their free hardware deal (worth about $600).
We're not sure how long the offer will go, but we do know that when you buy the software and sign up for QuickBooks Point of Sale Payments, they'll throw in all the hardware (cash drawer, bar code scanner, credit card reader, receipt printer and mobile credit card reader) at no charge. Apparently, the offer is only available by phone (866 379-6636).
The product is also priced right: The basic version runs at roughly $1100, and their Pro version goes for around $1600.
"So is it worth it?" you ask.
We gave it a resounding thumbs-up—but of course you'll want to see if it's right for you. Use our Small Retail Checklist to evaluate QuickBooks POS 2013:
