Earlier
today Russian Navy, Coast Guard and Aerospace Forces intercepted and
captured three Ukrainian vessels as they attempted to pass through the
Kerch Strait en route to Mariupol. Russian authorities claim the
Ukrainians failed to coordinate the passage and illegally entered
Russian territorial waters. Ukraine claims their ships were illegally
seized during a routine transit of the Strait. A detailed account of the
incident, including a video of the deftly executed collision with the
tugboat, can be read on the SouthFront site and many other sites by now. These
types of incidents occur from time to time. Remember the Navy patrol
boats seized by the Iranians? They’re eventually resolved after much
huffing and puffing and diplomatic activity. What strikes me about this
incident is the lengths the Russians went to in stopping one Ukrainian
tugboat and two small gunboats. The passage under the Kerch bridge was
blocked by a large cargo ship. Two each Su-25 aircraft and Ka-52 attack
helicopters flew overhead. The surface fleet consisted of several Sobol
and Mangust class fast patrol craft, and a Svetlak class corvette. That
tugboat was not going to pass through the Strait or get close to that
new Crimean Bridge. Was there more to this than a mere provocation or
coordination SNAFU? The following anonymous comment is from a SouthFront

crazy. The commenter definitely has a flair for the dramatic. It may be
disinformation. But what if there’s some truth in it? If so, holy crap! ************************ Very important Info appeared briefly on Russian media (before being scrubbed) that a NATO SADM,
possibly a Diver deployable device, was being transported by Ukrainian
and British Special Forces to the Kerch Straight to be used on the
Crimean bridge. The device was being tracked by the Russians and they
knew it had been loaded on to a Ukrainian Tug (escorted by 5 warships!! -
3 in the Black Sea, including one NATO vessel, and 2 waiting in the Sea
of Azov). This is why the Russians acted! They
never react with force and have never blockaded the Sea of Azov. Ground
attack jets and Helicopter gunships, plus a warship armed with ASM and
Torpedos were waiting. This level of force would not be
used just for a tug and a few old Ukrainian ships. But a tug carrying a
tactical nuclear device about to bring down one of the worlds most
strategic bridges, a bridge hated by NATO - as per the recent Op Ed in
the 'Washington Examiner' (Ukraine should bomb the Crimean Bridge). Ukraine regularly provokes Russia to little effect, but today the Russians acted to stop a terrible event. Ukraine is now in panic mode and there may be direct NATO intervention if the to cover this, if the Russians make this public. The device may have come from the UK. The UK have been psychologically preparing their people for a war with Russia. The
SADM explosion would have brought down the bridge and melted the
foundations, but looked like a conventional IED blast from above due to
the underwater detonation and relatively low yield of less than 1KT. This was a WW3 level provocation STOPPED by the Russian FSB and SF's! All traces of these reports are being scrubbed as I write! Many
regular readers here have been bringing articles to my attention for
several months concerning 5G towers. Admittedly, this is not a subject
with which I'm very familiar, save only to know that many people have
been raising alarm about it. I've a steep learning curve here, so bear
with me. But this article shared by Mr. S.D. caught my attention,
largely for its assertion that a 5G test for "environmental harmfulness"
was quietly conducted in The Hague, The Netherlands:

About a week ago at The Hague, many birds died
spontaneously, falling dead in a park. You likely haven’t heard a lot
about this because it seems keeping it quiet was the plan all along.
However, when about 150 more suddenly died – bringing the death toll to
297 – some started to take notice.
And if you are looking around that park
you might have seen what is on the corner of the roof across the street
from where they died: a new 5G mast, where
they had done a test, in connection with the Dutch railway station, to
see how large the range was and whether no harmful equipment would occur
on and around the station. And harm happened, indeed.
Immediately afterward, birds fell dead from the trees. And the nearby
ducks that were swimming seemed to react very oddly as well; they were
simultaneously putting their heads underwater to escape the radiation
while others flew away, landing on the street or in the canal.
Again, almost at the exact same time that
those animals died, near the station, Holland Spoor was tested with a 5G
transmitter mast.

I've written many times on this website
about various mind control technologies which use microwaves in
interferometry to produce entrainment effects, and even remote "voice of
God" technologies for broadcasting thoughts directly into brains. My
most recent book, Microcosm and Medium discusses some of these
technologies and their possible applications at some length, and I've
also written on this website about my suspicions that the Cuban embassy
attacks were the result of the use of similar types of technologies.
So herewith some high octane speculation:
It is a short step from that basic concept
to a similar use of microwave technologies - perhaps again involving
interferometry - to produce beat frequencies which could interfere with,
or actually shut down, the electrical functioning of organisms' nervous
systems, including organs such as the heart. And that's what is so
alarming here: birds might be resonant to certain such frequencies,
other organisms to other frequencies. All one needs to do, so to speak,
is to "dial in" the right frequency, and one could eradicate a regional
population of dogs, cats... or even humans.
So herewith some more high octane speculation:
A few years ago I blogged about the strange deaths of geese and other birds in midflight in remote places such as Idaho (see YOU TELL US: BIRDS “FALL FROM THE SKY” IN IDAHO, STONE ...).
There was also an episode a few years ago of a flight of birds that
fell dead to the ground in Tennessee, simultaneously. At the time of the
strange incident in Idaho, the theory was quickly advanced by the
"lamestream" that the birds had contracted a sudden-onset flu of some
sort, and came crashing to the ground (again, simultaneously!) because
of it. A moment's reflection on this story from The Netherlands reveals
the possibility that these earlier incidents may have been similar - and
very secret - tests, perhaps of some prototype 5G technology.
If so, then that contains a frightening
implication, namely, that the effects of the technology were well known,
far in advance of this most recent incident, and that "they" have gone
ahead with their plans anyway.
There
is no doubt about it: by far and away the largest group of articles I
received this week were about the California fires, and the strangeness
some people are seeing, reporting, or speculating about them. The
theories are now almost as strange as the fires themselves, and now
include disappearing people and smart meters as well as exotic and/or
directed energy weaponry, to failing power grid infrastructure and
incompetent governance and forestry.
Here's what's accumulated so far (and my
thanks to all of you who have passed on articles, personal observations,
and speculations):
(1)The Exotic/directed energy hypothesis:This article has some excellent pictures from the area plus a video shot from space:
The question everyone is asking (including
myself), is how fires hot enough to burn and melt houses and metal rims
in automobiles, can leave nearby trees untouched. One gentleman kindly
wrote me and offered the pictures from the fires from Chicago and San
Francisco over a hundred years ago as proof that such things can happen
naturally, no exotic energy technologies needed. I asked him to post his
comment under last week's blog on the fires, and I don't know whether
he did or not, but I'm grateful nonetheless, for any input on these
freakish fires and any data is helpful. Nature is full of surprises, to
be sure, and I've no doubt there are any number of scientists willing to
step forward and offer naturalistic explanations. The trouble is, I'm
still not buying; these types of explanations seem to me to have the
same gritty feel and malodorous smell that the 9/11 twin towers
collapse-by-burning-airplane-fuel have.
But there's a new entry into the hypotheses being advanced to explain these fires:

My theory is this: the drones
or satellites with these weapon systems can target electronic digital
signatures on the ground in the form of . . . wait for it . . . “SMART
METERS” which give off a radio / WIFI field signature even in the dark!
So when the grid goes down these embedded transceivers go dark and
cannot be targeted? You have to ask the question: Is PG&E on to this
silent warfare scenario and just trying to cover their corporate asses?
How else do these brick and stone
structures with tile or metal roofs burn to the ground in the middle of
parking lots with no flammable forest around? Hmmmmm??? We are being
targeted for destruction by whoever is controlling these weapon
platforms and they’re targeting the most conservative parts of
California and the good hardworking people who live here! Entire towns
have been completely destroyed, ie. Santa Rosa, Middletown, parts of
Redding and now Paradise?
You may be thinking, OK, what is this old
guy smoking here? So to prove my point I submit to you a link to a
32-second video posted by the Sacramento Bee that shows a NASA GOES
satellite view of northern California on the morning of the start of the
“Camp Fire”! Has a quaint ring to it, a camp fire? Makes me feel all
warm and cozy, how about you? Take a look...
At this juncture, while no link is cited
in the article, it appears that "GW", the author or authoress of the
article, appears to be referring to the video which leads the first
article linked above. If one watched closely, there appear to be blue
dots that appear at the beginning of the video, one of which appears
close to the origin point of the Camp Fire fire. But whether these are
laser points or some sort of photographic markers is unclear. Also,
strangely enough, if one watches the video closely, in the upper left
quadrant of the video, there is a "something" which is clearly not a
cloud, and clearly moving at tremendous velocity.
In any case, "GW" ends his or her post
with this lapidary observation, which is as good a way of summarizing
what the problem is for many of us observing the torching of California
from afar:
How does a huge logging truck
burn to the ground on I-5 near Lake Head, actually melt down and yet the
logs did not burn up? Logs = wood = sources of fire and heat in a
“campfire” or wood stove? Not even charred? A little common sense and
observation tell me there is something very wrong with that picture?
No question about it, there is something wrong with this picture.
I cannot resist stepping right to the end
of the twig of high octane speculation on this one, for last week I also
blogged about the appearance near Milford Texas of a wireless power
transmission tower, shades of Nicola Tesla's Wardenclyffe tower (and the
resemblance is more than palpable). Tesla's idea was, you'll recall, to
broadcast electrical power; no need to plug your appliance into the
wall socket, just "tune" it like a radio to the correct frequency, and
the circuit was closed and the appliance functioned. Now, as "GW" noted,
PG&E(Pacific Gas and Electric) was turning off power in various places as a "precaution" against fires:
PG&E has recently
implemented a program here in the north state (which just so happens to
be the most conservative area of California) where in “wind events” like
this forecasted again tonight, they shut down the grid as a
“precaution” to allegedly mitigate wind damage and fire from falling
trees, limbs etc on power lines? You wanna buy a bridge…in Brooklyn?
My theory is this: the drones or

So in addition to my own high octane speculations on the how, one has to wonder about the why, the motivation,
and whether - as GW suggests - the fires are for "social engineering",
i.e., to drive out one type of population to be supplanted by another,
and in addition to that, a deliberate assault on PG&E and various
hedge funds?

meter theory, with a picture toward the end of the article of a fire
near an external electrical junction:

(3)The High Speed Rail Coincidence Theory:
This one I mentioned last week when
someone tweeted a comparison of the regions of the fires and the high
speed rail routes. One individual also wrote and said that a closer look
would reveal that the route of the rail and some of the fires in the
central valley are not coterminous, and on closer look, it
looks that way to me too. So chalk that one up in the "miss" column, but
the theory is out there, and it should be mentioned.
(4) The Terrorism Theory:
You knew it had to happen; with so many
suspicious anomalies surrounding the fires, eventually someone would
claim terrorism is the source:
Well, when in doubt, blame the Russians, and if that won't work, blame Islamicism.
And finally, there is the

Now, I've no doubt that a lot of the fire problem is
related to poor forestry; it can and does happen. My problem here is
the same as my problem with the Chicago fires explanation: it may
explain some, but not all of what we're seeing.
Finally, I mention this article, not for
its "political message", but rather for the summary of the timeline of
events it contains:
A month or two before the fire, something
was dropped from the sky, (in summer time) that looked like snow and
tiny worms. Some stuck to her sliding glass door, and it was so peculiar
she took photos of it. (Was it a fire accelerant???)
A week or two before fire: Helicopters hovering over Paradise Town, doing circles like they were surveying the land.
3 Days before the Fire, PG&E Called
and Emailed residents of Paradise warning them of a fire potential on
Thursday and telling people to have their fire plans ready. Each day of
the 3 days before the fire, PG&E called the residents, repeatedly
with these warnings, as well as multiple emails of warnings of a fire on
Thursday.
Thursday the day of the fire, she noticed
smoke at 7am going on what appeared to be a ridge a couple of mountains
ridges away. She thought she was safe, but as a precaution, she drove to
town to fill her gas tank. The town was not on fire, and it did not
appear threatened at all. When she got home, about 8am, she also filled
her bathtubs and sinks with water and sprayed down her house and
surrounding area with a garden hose as a precaution. At this time she
started to see things falling from the sky that looked like black tar
paper or something.
About 11am she received a phone call of a mandatory evacuation for everyone in Paradise.
Paradise is a canyon surrounded by
mountains on all sides, with few exits. As she was exiting the town she
said she noticed that at the top of the telephone poles, all the
transformer boxes were on fire. Flames coming out of the transformer
boxes on the top of the telephone poles. She thinks these must have been
triggered remotely, because there weren’t any fires near the poles at
this time. Just the top of each pole was on fire. She said it looked
like DEWs were used to set fire all around the perimeter of Paradise, to
prevent people from escaping the canyon. She saw isolated houses on
fire, with nothing on fire near the house, no fires leading up to the
burning house.
What's of interest here is the claim that a
witness sees electrical fires breaking out in transformers and phone
poles with no nearby natural fires that could be presumed as sources for
these fires. This would tend to corroborate the "smart
meters-electrical circuit" theory that is being advanced and that I
speculated on above.
Additionally, this claimed witness's
sighting of "stuff" falling from the sky in the month prior to the fire
could perhaps be corroborated by this article, which claims that
particulate aluminum and other heavy metals being sprayed in
California's chemtrails (and I've seen - and smelled - some of them myself) could also be partially to blame:
The bottom line for me is that there's too much here- especially when taken in consideration with the similar signatures of last
year's California fires - that is anomalous and difficult to explain on
the basis of exclusively natural causes. When put together, the various
theories spell out a combination of geoengineered accelerants, closed
electrical circuits, and possibly exotic and or directed energy
technologies. The "who?" is fairly obvious: anyone with access
to such technologies: a few governments, and corporations and/or other
powerful extra-territorial entities. We can probably all name those
governments and corporations and extra-territorial entities without too
much thought. The why? is now the problem that needs to be considered and speculated upon carefully.

geoengineered firestorms proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the
U.S. citizenry is being systematically killed by highly advanced
weaponry. They really have no clue as their homes are demolished and
businesses annihilated. Some of these sophisticated weapons are
referred to as Directed Energy Weapons or DEWs. Evidence also points to
some of them being laser-based while others may be scalar wave
weaponry. The critical point is that indisputable proof now exists
which confirms that whole communities have been completely destroyed by

only does the hard evidence on the ground reflect this relatively new
reality, the anecdotal evidence also paints a truly harrowing picture.
Of course, the circumstantial evidence of these calamitous attacks
overwhelmingly points to a force that has usurped all levels of command
and control within every government entity responsible for the security
of the United States of America and safety of the citizenry. With
so much scientific proof now widely available, it ought to be quite easy
to compel the U.S. Federal Government to arrest and prosecute the NWO
cabal behind so much death and destruction. Why then is there no
traction to get to the bottom of these regular invasions? In this
digital age there really are no secrets. Everything that goes on in the
world has a digital record. These particular attacks throughout
California produced damage so profound and pervasive that the perps
inevitably left their fingerprints all over the place.
Therefore,
what’s now needed is the allocation of investigative and prosecutorial
resources to ferret out the traitors among US. These attacks in
California simply could not have taken place without the tacit approval
of the California State Government. Given the total control over
American airspace, the rogue elements within the federal government are

much evidence of destruction directly caused by Directed Energy Weapons

are these cars on fire? There are no flames on either side of the
freeway. Cars racing down a freeway even through flames will probably

is hard to say how this evolved, but it really does look like the fires
in California were started by directed energy weapons that used the
metal in cars to interact with and get them burning, which then started
forest fires. This is because there are simply too many cars that are
totally melted and burned to a crisp in the same place where there are
trees that are not that badly hurt. It looks like the cars themselves
started the fires after being torched by something and whatever happened
to the trees is whatever happened. I have seen lots of fires on
roads like this, with everything torched to a crisp on the sides of the
roads, with ZERO burned cars. even though they had to drive through the
fire zone. As long as you don’t stop anywhere, it is not likely there
will be a problem. It appears obvious that these cars were burned to a
crisp while they were moving down the highway which is highly unlikely
to happen naturally. On a road of the type in this video below, even if
you do drive through a wild fire, there’s little chance your car, which
is substantially away from anything that is burning, will simply torch
off before it can even roll away from it. There are no trees downed
across the road (which would be doom, if you stop you’ll obviously take a
chance of getting burned) However, the road is instead perfectly clean,
with relatively good condition trees on both sides in several areas

If it was a real scenario, trees would have burned through and fallen

enormous fire”, the burned out cars make it look like it was an alien

Robert
Kennedy Jr., who helped win the recent lawsuit against Mon(ster)santo,
has also won another landmark lawsuit, and this one is good news for
those of you, who like me, have some major concerns about that industry
and the safety of their products. This article was shared by Mr. V.T.,
and I'm passing it along because we'll soon be bombarded with the usual
seasonal "get your flu shot" campaigns. And if you're one of those who
are perhaps unaware of the debate that has been occurring in recent
years on the safety of vaccines, or of the possible autism-vaccine link,
then I urge you to consider carefully the implications of this article:

F. Kennedy Jr., Del Bigtree, producer of the suppressed anti-vaccine
documentary, Vaxxed and the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) are
credited with this victory. They demanded the relevant government
documents proving that all federally approved vaccines had been tested
for quality over the past 32 years — and there were none. (Emphasis added)
Now, before I go on with this article,
pause and ponder the implications just of this one paragraph, for their
are three main possibilities: (1) there were no records ever kept, and
the goobernment, and its agencies- the Food and Drug Administration, the
National Institute of Health and so on - have been deliberately lying
to the public; or (2) there were records, but they were all
destroyed, either through incompetence of some sort, which doesn't speak
very highly of any results that might have been obtained,; or (3) there were
records, and they were all destroyed because they contained information
contraindicating the publicly claimed safety of said vaccines. In turn,
this means that the same corporate-goobernment "revolving door" that is
so evident between the FDA and the GMO corporations like Mon(ster)santo
is also in play in the case of vaccines, and possibly (and I think
probably) pharmaceuticals at large. If that seems like a stretch(and
I've pointed this out before), just recall all those "miracle drug"
commercials on television which end by listing all the potential side
effects: take this drug and you might go blind, or die of a heart
attack, stroke, petrification, or terminal flatulence.
Ok, I exaggerate, but you get the idea.
But wait! There's more!
This means that vaccine makers
have been fraudulently exempt from what all other pharmaceutical drug
makers have been forced to do concerning biannual recertification for
quality and effectiveness — meaning that that their vaccines have never
been tested for quality and have had no proven safety or effectiveness
for over 30 years;
o This case can now be legally cited by
all parents fraudulently mandated by any government/organizational
regulation/requirements that they must vaccinate their children for
school or any other activity to stop
the forced vaccination of their children;
o This case can now be legally cited by
all employees being mandated by their employers to be vaccinated in
order to retain their jobs...
And that, of course, is good news. But the biggest implication - and it's a whopper doozie - is this:
This means that the US
Department of Health and Human Services and all vaccine makers have been
lying to the American people for over 30 years about the effectiveness
and safety of vaccines;this may ultimately mean that continuing the
existence — at least in their current form — of five US “healthcare”
agencies are now in doubt: the CDC, the FDA, the IOM, the NIH and the
“Health” part of DHHS itself; this may also threaten the existence of
state medical boards and exclusive medical guilds like the AMA... (Emphasis added)
And it's high time, too. In effect, your
tax dollars have been funding agencies which, thanks to Mr. Kennedy's
vaccine win, have not just not been doing their jobs, but from
all appearances, have been criminally complicit and negligent in the
performance of their duties... and quite possibly in collusion with the
vaccine manufacturers in so (not) doing.
Now, I'm not a lawyer like Mr. Kennedy,
but I cannot resist tossing in my amateurish two cents of high octane
(legal) speculation here: why not start serving writs of mandemus on
those government and elected officials who have been either complicit or
negligent in their duties, and do so at all levels, from cities,
counties, states and all the way up the ladder to the federal level.
And of course, that would work for corporations too: serve writs that
demand they quit saying their products are safe, since there's no
corroborating evidence. That, I suspect, would get their
attention (and get the attention of the corporate media which profits so
much from their advertizing. Of course, the corporations might respond
by serving up their "internal studies" on product safety.
But that didn't turn out too well for Mon(ster)santo...
Every
now and then, something so odd, so stunning, comes into my email inbox
that I have to pass it along, even though it lacks that kind of direct
corroboration that one wants when a stunning claim is made. That's the
case with this article, or rather, letter, that was spotted by Ms. D.W.
and shared with me. It concerns rap music. Most regular readers here
know that I'm not a fab. I find its unrelenting iambic pentameter, its
oftentimes gutter "lyrics", the baseness and coarseness of the "values"
it promotes up to and including violent assault and murder, the constant
thumping of a drum beat, to be mind-numbing and irritating. I can't
listen to more than a few seconds of it.
The mind-numbing aspect of it I have always thought to be deliberate.
And if this letter is to be believed, then that thought was confirmed:
It's almost too much to believe, but the author or authoress of the letter leaves no doubt what (allegedly) happened:
Quickly after the meeting
began, one of my industry colleagues (who shall remain nameless like
everyone else) thanked us for attending. He then gave the floor to a man
who only introduced himself by first name and gave no further details
about his personal background. I think he was the owner of the residence
but it was never confirmed. He briefly praised all of us for the
success we had achieved in our industry and congratulated us for being
selected as part of this small group of “decision makers”. At this point
I begin to feel slightly uncomfortable at the strangeness of this
gathering. The subject quickly changed as the speaker went on to tell us
that the respective companies we represented had invested in a very
profitable industry which could become even more rewarding with our
active involvement. He explained that the companies we work for had
invested millions into the building of privately owned prisons and that
our positions of influence in the music industry would actually impact
the profitability of these investments. I remember many of us in the
group immediately looking at each other in confusion. At the time, I
didn’t know what a private prison was but I wasn't the only one. Sure
enough, someone asked what these prisons were and what any of this had
to do with us. We were told that these prisons were built by privately
owned companies who received funding from the government based on the
number of inmates. The more inmates, the more money the government would
pay these prisons. It was also made clear to us that since these
prisons are privately owned, as they become publicly traded, we’d be
able to buy shares. Most of us were taken back by this. Again, a couple
of people asked what this had to do with us. At this point, my industry
colleague who had first opened the meeting took the floor again and
answered our questions. He told us that since our employers had become
silent investors in this prison business, it was now in their interest
to make sure that these prisons remained filled. Our job would be to
help make this happen by marketing music which promotes criminal
behavior, rap being the music of choice. He assured us that this would
be a great situation for us because rap music was becoming an
increasingly profitable market for our companies, and as employee, we’d
also be able to buy personal stocks in these prisons. Immediately,
silence came over the room. You could have heard a pin drop. I remember
looking around to make sure I wasn't dreaming and saw half of the people
with dropped jaws. My daze was interrupted when someone shouted, “Is
this a f****** joke?” At this point things became chaotic. Two of the
men who were part of the “unfamiliar” group grabbed the man who shouted
out and attempted to remove him from the house. A few of us, myself
included, tried to intervene. One of them pulled out a gun and we all
backed off. They separated us from the crowd and all four of us were
escorted outside. My industry colleague who had opened the meeting
earlier hurried out to meet us and reminded us that we had signed
agreement and would suffer the consequences of speaking about this
publicly or even with those who attended the meeting. I asked him why he
was involved with something this corrupt and he replied that it was
bigger than the music business and nothing we’d want to challenge
without risking consequences. We all protested and as he walked back
into the house I remember word for word the last thing he said, “It’s
out of my hands now. Remember you signed an agreement.” He then closed
the door behind him. The men rushed us to our cars and actually watched
until we drove off.

As the months passed, rap music had
definitely changed direction. I was never a fan of it but even I could
tell the difference. Rap acts that talked about politics or harmless fun
were quickly fading away as gangster rap started dominating the
airwaves. Only a few months had passed since the meeting but I suspect
that the ideas presented that day had been successfully implemented. It
was as if the order has been given to all major label executives. The
music was climbing the charts and most companies when more than happy to
capitalize on it. Each one was churning out their very own gangster rap
acts on an assembly line. Everyone bought into it, consumers included.
Violence and drug use became a central theme in most rap music. I spoke
to a few of my peers in the industry to get their opinions on the new
trend but was told repeatedly that it was all about supply and demand.
Sadly many of them even expressed that the music reinforced their
prejudice of minorities.
The implications of the allegations are
clear: There was a clear social engineering program to (1) infiltrate a
popular trend, to co-opt it, and to redirect its focus into advocacy of
criminal behavior in order (2) to fill up private prisons and turn
profits for the shareholders, and, (3) as a "side benefit", to exploit
the criminalizing trend to create a stereotype of minorities and
economic classes and further culturally divide the country. The private
prisons soon filled, mostly with young kids, at first predominantly
African-American, then reaching out to grab other young people who were
exposed to the "music", whites, Hispanics, and so on. We all know how
peer pressure works, especially in high school, where to be "cool" and
"accepted" means you listen to the latest "cool" music group. The social
engineers could count on this to spread the contagion.
To the letter-writer's list of the aims
and effects of this "program" one might add a fourth possible long-term
goal: to so barbarize music that those who exposed themselves constantly
to it were "dumbed down" and cut off from other more genuine musical
forms with a history and tradition: jazz, rock, country, and (here it comes) "classical."
The question is, does one believe the letter?
I do, and here's why: in my last book Microcosm and Medium I pointed out how the "deep state" made a deliberate post-war effort to
penetrate and manipulate the world of the arts and music, and to drive
them deliberately into modernist forms; "traditionalists need not
apply." It happened everywhere, and the goal was to promote a kind of
antinomian freedom from all previous tradition, rules, canon, custom,
and mores in order to demonstrate that the West - as opposed to the
Soviet bloc - was genuinely free. In other words, decadence and
antinomianism were drafted; the west was "free" because it could flout
all traditional artistic boundaries. In the process of researching that
book, I ran across David McGowan's Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon,
a book that exposes the stunning manipulation of the rock groups
associated with Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and 1970s. Every one had
clear ties to the "military-industrial complex", and no group's art went
anywhere near politics or cultural critique. It looked to me then - as I
wrote my own book - and looks to me now, as if this was the "popular
prong" of the same effort to manipulate art and music and to socially
engineer the culture by means of it. By any measure, those early efforts
were successful.
This letter, taken in that context, is
showing the same pattern; it is contextually-historically corroborated,
if nothing else. And it also says something else: those early "social
engineering experiments" at the deliberate manipulation and promotion of
certain types of art were so successful, that they were able to fine
tune it for specific goals.
So, yes, I believe this meeting took
place, and that the deliberate effort was made. Art, and music, are
potent forms of mind manipulation and social engineering, and this
letter is a reminder that art can both reflect, and create, a state of
the soul. With enough exposure to ugliness, the soul becomes ugly. Ms.
S.T. commented on my book Microcosm and Medium that "emptiness is the host to entrainment."

Hello, After
more than 20 years, I've finally decided to tell the world what I
witnessed in 1991, which I believe was one of the biggest turning point
in popular music, and ultimately American society. I have struggled for a
long time weighing the pros and cons of making this story public as I
was reluctant to implicate the individuals who were present that day. So
I've simply decided to leave out names and all the details that may
risk my personal well being and that of those who were, like me, dragged
into something they weren't ready for.
Between the late 80's and
early 90’s, I was what you may call a “decision maker” with one of the
more established company in the music industry. I came from Europe in
the early 80’s and quickly established myself in the business. The
industry was different back then. Since technology and media weren’t
accessible to people like they are today, the industry had more control
over the public and had the means to influence them anyway it wanted.
This may explain why in early 1991, I was invited to attend a closed
door meeting with a small group of music business insiders to discuss
rap music’s new direction. Little did I know that we would be asked to
participate in one of the most unethical and destructive business
practice I’ve ever seen.
The meeting was held at a private
residence on the outskirts of Los Angeles. I remember about 25 to 30
people being there, most of them familiar faces. Speaking to those I
knew, we joked about the theme of the meeting as many of us did not care
for rap music and failed to see the purpose of being invited to a
private gathering to discuss its future. Among the attendees was a small
group of unfamiliar faces who stayed to themselves and made no attempt
to socialize beyond their circle. Based on their behavior and formal
appearances, they didn't seem to be in our industry. Our casual chatter
was interrupted when we were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement
preventing us from publicly discussing the information presented during
the meeting. Needless to say, this intrigued and in some cases disturbed
many of us. The agreement was only a page long but very clear on the
matter and consequences which stated that violating the terms would
result in job termination. We asked several people what this meeting was
about and the reason for such secrecy but couldn't find anyone who had
answers for us. A few people refused to sign and walked out. No one
stopped them. I was tempted to follow but curiosity got the best of me. A
man who was part of the “unfamiliar” group collected the agreements
from us.

A million things were going through my mind
as I drove away and I eventually decided to pull over and park on a side
street in order to collect my thoughts. I replayed everything in my
mind repeatedly and it all seemed very surreal to me. I was angry with
myself for not having taken a more active role in questioning what had
been presented to us. I'd like to believe the shock of it all is what
suspended my better nature. After what seemed like an eternity, I was
able to calm myself enough to make it home. I didn't talk or call anyone
that night. The next day back at the office, I was visibly out of it
but blamed it on being under the weather. No one else in my department
had been invited to the meeting and I felt a sense of guilt for not
being able to share what I had witnessed. I thought about contacting the
3 others who wear kicked out of the house but I didn't remember their
names and thought that tracking them down would probably bring unwanted
attention. I considered speaking out publicly at the risk of losing my
job but I realized I’d probably be jeopardizing more than my job and I
wasn't willing to risk anything happening to my family. I thought about
those men with guns and wondered who they were? I had been told that
this was bigger than the music business and all I could do was let my
imagination run free. There were no answers and no one to talk to. I
tried to do a little bit of research on private prisons but didn’t
uncover anything about the music business’ involvement. However, the
information I did find confirmed how dangerous this prison business
really was. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Eventually, it
was as if the meeting had never taken place. It all seemed surreal. I
became more reclusive and stopped going to any industry events unless
professionally obligated to do so. On two occasions, I found myself
attending the same function as my former colleague. Both times, our
eyes met but nothing more was exchanged.

I officially quit
the music business in 1993 but my heart had already left months before.
I broke ties with the majority of my peers and removed myself from this
thing I had once loved. I took some time off, returned to Europe for a
few years, settled out of state, and lived a “quiet” life away from the
world of entertainment. As the years passed, I managed to keep my
secret, fearful of sharing it with the wrong person but also a little
ashamed of not having had the balls to blow the whistle. But as rap got
worse, my guilt grew. Fortunately, in the late 90’s, having the internet
as a resource which wasn't at my disposal in the early days made it
easier for me to investigate what is now labeled the prison industrial
complex. Now that I have a greater understanding of how private prisons
operate, things make much more sense than they ever have. I see how
the criminalization of rap music played a big part in promoting racial
stereotypes and misguided so many impressionable young minds into
adopting these glorified criminal behaviors which often lead to
incarceration. Twenty years of guilt is a heavy load to carry but the
least I can do now is to share my story, hoping that fans of rap music
realize how they’ve been used for the past 2 decades. Although I plan on
remaining anonymous for obvious reasons, my goal now is to get this
information out to as many people as possible. Please help me spread the
word. Hopefully, others who attended the meeting back in 1991 will be
inspired by this and tell their own stories. Most importantly, if only
one life has been touched by my story, I pray it makes the weight of my
