RIA NOVOSTI ON THAT EBOLA THING: OTRAG, GORBACHEV, DEBUS, EBOLA, AND THE CDC: THE RUSSIANS RAISE SOME QUESTIONS…

Our favorite Ms. George Ann Hughes of the Byte Show sent me this one, and it’s one of those curious articles that raises many implicit questions. This article appear in the Russian news service RIA Novosti, and though while short, it makes one wonder:

It’s worth citing the relevant passages:

“…a University of Illinois College of Law scholar told RIA Novosti on Wednesday:
“‘US government agencies have a long history of carrying out allegedly defensive biological warfare research at labs in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This includes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is now the point agency for managing the Ebola spill-over into the US,’ Prof. Francis Boyle said.
“‘Why has the Obama administration dispatched troops to Liberia when they have no training to provide medical treatment to dying Africans? How did Zaire/Ebola get to West Africa from about 3,500km away from where it was first identified in 1976?’
“The US has pledged as many as 4,000 troops to the region. Thomas Duncan, 42, the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the US, died on Wednesday. He caught the virus in his native Liberia and traveled to see relatives in the US.
“‘Why is the CDC not better-prepared for this emergency after the US government spent about $70 billion since the anthrax attacks of October 2001 to prepare for this exact contingency?’ Boyle said.” (Emphasis added)

First things first: as the article notes, the first cases were reported in Zaire in 1976. This is interesting to me, since Zaire, or the Congo, was also later the home of the OTRAG organization, which owned a tract of land of approximately 200,000 square miles. Now, in case you’re wondering “What the heck is OTRAG?”, bear with me. OTRAG stands for Orbital Transport und Raketen, A.G., a West German firm that was designing low-cost boosters, ostensibly for cheap satellite launch capability, for the West German government in the early 1980s. None other than NASA Paperclip scientist and engineer Dr. Kurt Debus was on its board, after his retirement from NASA. Readers of my books will recall that Debus was also involved in Top Secret plasma research in Nazi Germany during the Second World War, research which my own investigations have tied to the Allgemeine Elektricitats Gesellschaft, and to the Nazi Bell project.
OTRAG was first exposed by the then Soviet Premier and General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev as being a kind of “privately owned” front for what was, in effect, a West German version of Area 51. In his charges, Mr. Gorbachev indicated that much more than cheap satellite launching capability was being researched; he also accused West Germany of being involved with technology transfers from US corporations to Germany of cruise missile technology, and additionally, Mr. Gorbachev accused the West of conducting chemical and biological warfare research at the OTRAG facilities… in (once again) Zaire. Thus, the outbreak of ebola in that country is, in the light of Professor Boyle’s allegations, at least extremely suspicious.
So now comes the real question, that posed by Professor Boyle in his statements to RIA Novosti: “Why is the CDC not better-prepared for this emergency after the US Government spent about $70 billion since the anthrax attacks of October 2001 to prepare for this exact contingency?”
Indeed, why isn’t it? One may entertain all sorts of speculations here, but my high octane speculation and suspicion meter has been in the red zone ever since the first reports of ebola in North America first appeared. A dangerous contagion outbreak in the USA – whether real or one hyped in the media – would serve at least one purpose, that of locking in the population of the country as other countries shut their borders to travel from infested countries. But I suspect something far more insidious: what if that $70 billion was not wasted after all: what if we are looking at what it really went for, namely, a created crisis, a suspiciously suddenly-appearing vaccine, and an excuse for American military intervention in central Africa? Or was the whole “anthrax crisis” simply another manufactured crisis to syphon even more money from the federal budget into the black projects/black budget/covert operations world?
Whatever the answers to these questions may be, the fact remains that the current leadership class is either criminally negligent and criminally incompetence, or just criminally insane.    (me)   :) r  Oops or the "folks" who keep vot~in  em in ???

NEW YORK, October 8 (RIA Novosti) – The United States may be behind the deadly Ebola outbreak in Liberia and Sierra Leone, two West African countries known to host American biological warfare laboratories, a University of Illinois College of Law scholar told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
"US government agencies have a long history of carrying out allegedly defensive biological warfare research at labs in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This includes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is now the point agency for managing the Ebola spill-over into the US," Prof. Francis Boyle said.

More than 3,860 people have died in the worst Ebola outbreak in history and the first to have occurred in West Africa. It began in southern Guinea in February and spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. The World health Organization (WHO) says it could infect some 20,000 people before it is brought under control.
