There is something wrong with this Mall shooting in Kenya. As you go through the pictures, you see perfectly focused pictures taken in perfect light by perfect cameras. Remember you're in a terror attack with many fully automatic AK47's blasting everywhere. You know you need pictures so you stop, stand in the open and photograph all the fine details. The police let you in secure areas to mope around for the perfect exposure. They have you follow along as they do a high risk take down of the Mall under fire just in case they catch one stray round so the news can see the blood splatter. IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!

In Kenya we have three photographers for every policeman to follow them everywhere they go just in case we lose one or two in the confrontations in combat. They are on call 24/7.

I was an understudy for the Boston Marathon bombing. I got a leading role at the Mall. Notice the blood over the wound has dried. That takes hours. The main point is the eyes. In a trauma case you bleed internally. The whites of the eyes would be red with blood. You bleed from the nose, mouth and the ears even. It is a nice try to for those who believe the lies.

Power Grid Threats: EMPs, Terror Attacks and Grid Failures
Power
grid failures are nothing new; during the winter of 1965 the United
States experienced one of the worst power outages in its history. Over
30 million people from seven northeastern states, and the province of
Ontario in Canada, were plunged into darkness when maintenance workers
mistakenly tripped a safety relay. Almost forty years later, the same
area was hit by the great Northeast blackout of 2003, where over 55 million people experienced power outages as a result of a software bug.Although most power outages are still caused by storms or utility mistakes, a growing number of these outages are being blamed on everything from our deteriorating electrical infrastructure to terrorists and hackers.
History of Major United States Power Outages
Over the last couple of decades, power outages have affected just about every American. These outages cause the average U.S. electrical utility customer to go without power for an estimated 214 minutes every year, costing the U.S. economy up to an estimated $55 billion annually.
- July 1977: 9 million New Yorkers lose power for over 24 hours after lightning strikes an electrical substation on the Hudson River
- January 1981: Almost the entire state of Utah goes dark after prisoners on a work assignment accidentally knocked out transmission lines. 1.5 million people, in almost all of Utah, as well as parts of southeastern Idaho and southwestern Wyoming lost power.
- October 1989: The Loma Prieta earthquake knocked out power to over 1.4 million people in Northern California due to damaged electrical substations.
- January 1998: Over 3.5 million people were affected by blackouts that hit northeastern North America, when transmission towers were destroyed by ice.
- 2000-2001: The Western U.S. Energy Crisis of 2000 and 2001 hit California causing rolling blackouts that lasted for over 12 months.
- August 2003: Power line problems in the Midwest triggered the worst blackout in U.S. history, cutting power to 55 million people in eight states and Canada, some for more than a day.
- September 2011: Days before the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the largest Blackout in California history left nearly seven million people without power, in what many believe was act of Terrorism. No official cause has ever been given.
- 2012: Hurricane Sandy and the Midalantic storms of 2012 leave over ten million people without power, some of them for weeks.
Electrical Grid Threats
Aging Power Grid: One
of the largest threats we face, is an old failing electric grid that
still relies on 1960s and 70s technology to power a great majority of
the country. The electric grid in the United States is made up of a
patchwork of interconnected power generation plants, transmission
facilities, distribution facilities and over 400,000 miles of electric
transmission lines, some of which actually dates back to the 1880s.According to an article at the Washington Post, U.S. electric customers are now paying 43 percent more to build and maintain local power grids than they did back in 2002. At the same time, the grid is also becoming less reliable, with blackouts now taking 20 percent longer to fix.
Cyber / Terror Threat: It’s really not a secret; our power grid is incredibly vulnerable to attacks from terrorists, hackers and rogue nations.
According to a report from the National Academy of Sciences, which was sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, our power grid is incredibly vulnerable to an attack which could cause widespread blackouts for weeks, maybe even months. This is incredibly worrisome, especially when you consider that most Americans says they wouldn’t be able to survive for longer than 2 weeks without power.
Last year, cyber security expert Eugene Kaspersky warned about the very real threat of crippling attacks against key infrastructure throughout the world. He said that the threat of cyber terrorism had reached a point that could spell “the end of the world as we know it”.
EMP Threat: An electromagnetic pulse (commonly
referred to as an EMP) is a burst of electromagnetic radiation caused
by the detonation of a nuclear device above the earth surface. In my
opinion, this is one of the worst case scenarios that we can think of.
If a terrorist group or rogue nation were able to detonate one, it could
shut down the entire country’s power grid for years, possibly
permanently.An EMP attack over the United States could literally put an end to the world as we know it in a matter of minutes. The damage caused by an EMP would be catastrophic. In a matter of minutes, everything our country depends on would come to a screeching halt.
From
ATM’s and banking systems to key infrastructure like, power, water and
gas utilities, you would immediately see failures across the board. Our
way of life would change in the blink of an eye, and it would take years
to even begin to repair the damage.In testimony late last year, Brandon Wales, director of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Infrastructure Threat and Risk Analysis Center, admitted that DHS is not adequately prepared to deal with an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) event or attack.
Wales testified that the United States power grid is even more vulnerable to attack than it was only a few years ago, and that DHS had no real plans to deal with the possibility of an attack.
The situation is pretty clear, and it’s pretty grim. We have severely neglected key infrastructure throughout the country. On top of that, our government is either ignoring, or is willfully negligent in protecting the county’s power grid from attack. This has left a large portion of our country, who has become incredibly dependent on these systems, extremely vulnerable if they fail.
Pentagon, Military Actively War Gaming ‘Large Scale Economic Breakdown’ and ‘Civil Unrest’
The majority of Americans believe that recent government
intervention into financial markets, the economy and corporate
insolvency has reversed the economic downturn which was described by former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson
as being “on the brink” in 2008. The stimulus, bailouts and unrelenting
quantitative easing by the Federal Reserve have thus far been perceived
as having averted the further erosion of the U.S. real estate and
equities markets. And though the Federal Reserve and economic analysts
have recently readjusted their economic growth forecasts downward for
the next six months, Americans no longer have to worry about, as Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) said on the house floor in October of 2008, the sky falling, multi-thousand point drops in stock markets and martial law in America.
The recovery – if our government, the Federal Reserve and mainstream media are to be believed – is on the road to recovery – albeit slowly and with some more pain ahead.
If we’ve “prevented economic collapse” and “avoided the depression many feared,” according to President Obama, inquiring minds are asking why the Pentagon and US Military are actively and aggressively engaged in planning responsive action to large scale economic breakdown and civil unrest scenarios:

The EU, in 2006, commissioned the building of a “Doomsday Seed Vault” in a mountainside several hundred feet above sea level. The facility was built and fully stocked with millions of seeds from around the world within 18 months.
Though the activities of global governments in recent years could potentially be chalked up to standard national security preparedness and contingency planning, the most alarming indicator that the U.S. government is not just looking at one-in-a-million possibilities in terms of economic collapse is the training of several thousand U.S. Army soldiers to respond to domestic policing and enforcement issues that may include evacuation, detainment and riot response. The real possibility of the need to deploy U.S. military under martial law exists, and the U.S. government is spending millions of dollars training and equipping soldiers to do so if necessary.
For those who may have their doubts about some of the scenarios these soldiers are training for, we point out the sign being held by one of the riot role players below.

It is hard to imagine an America under an
economic attack so serious that the U.S. economy could suffer a collapse
that would essentially put an end to the world as we have come to know
it. But for those who think rationally, especially given the current
malaise in financial markets and the U.S. dollar, the possibility cannot
be ruled out.
As such, any government acting in the
interests of national security would take steps to deal with and respond
to such an event(s).
For the average populace prole, however,
there may not be any real assistance should something like this occur.
First and foremost, any government response to an attack on our
financial and economic systems will have the primary goal of maintaining
order and the rule of law, as well as continuity of government. This is
a given.
This means that if, for whatever reason, be
it a collapse of the US dollar that leads to disruptions in the flow of
U.S. food supplies or an economic war that goes “hot” leading to
worst-case scenarios like cyber attacks on U.S. infrastructure elements
like electric and water utility plants or an EMP attack, the
government’s mandate will not be to provide food and security for your
family, but rather, for those who are deemed essential to accomplishing
the primary goals.
This means that when and/or if it hits the fan, you’re going to be on your own.
If you haven’t yet, we recommend taking the advice of FEMA (pdf),
who suggest that every family have emergency preparedness supplies on
hand, including food and water, for at least a couple of weeks.
For the hard core “preppers” amongst us,
you may have already considered this possibility and the chance that the
fallout from an economic collapse may lead to an inability to perform
daily transactions with the U.S. dollar, food supply disruptions,
violence and looting, and even a completely ‘down-grid’ where utilities
are completely out of service. If you haven’t, what would you do if you
awoke to news of a total meltdown in the US dollar – one that led to
rejection of the US dollar as a currency for international settlement?

In a true grid down situation I recommend that you literally be prepared to hunker down for months.
For someone in an urban area who plans to hunker down and doesn’t plan to bug out with country cousins, one thing that should be at the top of everyone’s list but that’s very much overlooked is… if you’re in a situation where you have power because you have photovoltaics but your neighbors don’t, you really should concentrate on black-out curtains for your windows. You need to black out your house completely, without any light leaks so that your house will look just as black as any other on your block.We strongly encourage you to listen to James Rawles’ interview with SGT Report in full. Otherwise you’re going to be targeted as the rich guy. You don’t want to become a loot-me-beacon at night. That should be a fairly high priority for you.

There’s so many things that are gonna go into it. If we’re truly in a grid-down situation you’re going to have to think in terms of not just food storage, but where you can collect rainwater or surface water, whether it’s a pond or a creek, and how you’re going to transport that water home without access to a gas engine vehicle.

You’re gonna want to be able to cook without any spices whatsoever… From an efficiency standpoint… you’re going to want to use a special insulated cooker… It’s essentially like crock-pot cooking where you bring your water to a boil, add your rice, meat, vegetables, whatever… and you’re going to enclose it in a double-insulated container. With that cooking method you have a couple of advantages. One is you don’t have cooking odors escaping and the other is you have the absolute minimum energy input.
That’s just one example of the work-arounds that you can use in an urban or suburban environment if you literally can’t trust your ravenous neighbors.

For someone who has to hunker down you’re going to have think through each of those situations, whether it’s sanitation, cooking, home security, communications… the whole works. You’re going to have to think through each of those.
Unfortunately, in an urban environment, you can do everything right but if you’re neighbors can’t adapt you’re going to end up just as dead, because… the sanitation situation is going to be horrendous. And, if people are going door-to-door kicking in the front doors of houses, eventually they’re going to get to your house. If it’s that bad, if it’s a total worst case your chances are not that good hunkering down in place.
You may beat the odds, but I would rather be somewhere else, frankly.

[Living in the city] You’re in the same situation as probably 30% or 40% of my readership, so don’t feel like you’re alone. There are a lot of people that would love to relocate, but either for financial reasons, or family obligations, or work obligations, or health considerations… you’re not alone.

A level of planning that you’ll have to make is definitely a step up than your average suburbanite. You’re going to have to think everything through. You’re going to have to shepherd your funds, and prioritize your purchasing and your training with exactitude.

There’s a move afoot, folks, to open a debate on the acceptability of genetically modified human babies… yes, you read that correctly. But before we get to that, a little refresher. When Dr. de Hart and I were researching and writing Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, one of the things we discovered were technologies whereby the mitochondrial DNA of one parent could be removed and replaced with that of another, in the genetic modification of mice, which is effectively saying that mice could be born that had two mothers and one father, or, three parents.
Now the technology has been applied to humans, and the FDA is sponsoring a two day debate:
Genetically Modified Babies
Two days to settle an issue that, as the article points out, has already led to humans being born with (unspecified) defects, which in turn could be passed down generationally?
But wait…there’s another implication here, a very dark and sinister one, lurking in the shadows.
When we wrote Transhumanism, we pointed out that the whole field of genetically modified raised the specter of the application of patent law to human beings. The reasoning was simply that, in the legal standards that apply in US patent law, standards similar to patent law in the UK, France or other western countries, that something was patentable if it could only arise with the intervention of the “hand of man” and via a recipe or normalized procedure and technology that would allow a process to be replicated by anyone following the recipe. We suggested that modifications like mice with three parents was such a procedure, and hence that such life forms could be patentable… they could literally be some corporation’s property.
With this article, we are a step closer to that gruesome reality. And let’s take a page from the Mon(ster)santo – US Supremes playbook (that’s the Supreme Court with its Injustices, for those of you unaccustomed to my nicknames). Suppose such a corporation were successful in applying patent law to humans, and suppose that it then took the offspring of such a GMO baby to court for “non-payment of royalties and license fees on the replication of a gene (one with two mothers, one mother for the Mitochondrial DNA, and another for the other DNA itself), which could only be produced using ‘the process’…” Well, you get the picture. “We’re sorry, your baby is an unauthorized reproduction of a corporate gene, and must be turned over to the corporation for appropriate processing.”
The trouble is, folks, that the precedents have already been read into law by egregiously bad decisions by the Injustices of the Supremes and other bought and paid for “courts”. And if you don’t think corporations would have no scruples about getting their greedy mitts into human nature itself, think again, because they also want to tax sunlight, forbid you to collect rainwater, and a host of other hypocrisies that would make even a liberal hypocrite like Al Gore blush.

Let’s walk through it and take a hard look at what this might portend.

Preface to the Second Edition
Barely a few weeks after the military
coup in Chile on September 11, 1973, overthrowing the elected government
of President Salvador Allende, the military Junta headed by General
Augusto Pinochet ordered a hike
in the price of bread from 11 to 40 escudos, a hefty overnight increase
of 264%. This economic shock treatment had been designed by a group of
economists called the “Chicago Boys”.
At the time of the military coup, I was
teaching at the Institute of Economics of the Catholic University of
Chile, which was a nest of Chicago trained economists, disciples of
Milton Friedman. On that September 11, in the hours following the
bombing of the Presidential Palace of La Moneda, the new military rulers
imposed a 72-hour curfew. When the university reopened several days
later, the “Chicago Boys” were rejoicing. Barely a week later, several
of my colleagues at the Institute of Economics were appointed to key
positions in the military government.
While food prices had skyrocketed, wages
had been frozen to ensure “economic stability and stave off
inflationary pressures.” From one day to the next, an entire country was
precipitated into abysmal poverty: in less than a year the price of
bread in Chile increased thirty-six times and eighty-five percent of the
Chilean population had been driven below the poverty line.
These events affected me profoundly in
my work as an economist. Through the tampering of prices, wages and
interest rates, people’s lives had been destroyed; an entire national
economy had been destabilized. I started to understand that
macro-economic reform was neither “neutral” – as claimed by the academic
mainstream – nor separate from the broader process of social and
political transformation. In my earlier writings on the Chilean military
Junta, I looked upon the so-called “free market” as a wellorganized
instrument of “economic repression”.
Two years later in 1976, I returned to
Latin America as a visiting professor at the National University of
Cordoba in the northern industrial heartland of Argentina. My stay
coincided with another military coup d’état. Tens of thousands of people
were arrested and the Desaparecidos were assassinated. The military
takeover in Argentina was a “carbon copy” of the CIA-led coup in Chile.
Behind the massacres and human rights violations, “free market” reforms had also been prescribed – this time under the supervision of Argentina’s New York creditors.
The International Monetary Fund’s
(IMF’s) deadly economic prescriptions applied under the guise of the
“structural adjustment program” had not yet been officially launched.
The experience of Chile and Argentina under the “Chicago Boys” was a
dress rehearsal of things to come. In due course, the economic bullets
of the free market system were hitting country after country. Since the
onslaught of the debt crisis of the 1980s, the same IMF economic
medicine has routinely been applied in more than 150 developing
countries. From my earlier work in Chile, Argentina and Peru, I started
to investigate the global impacts of these reforms. Relentlessly feeding
on poverty and economic dislocation, a New World Order was taking shape.
Meanwhile, most of the military regimes
in Latin America had been replaced by parliamentary “democracies”,
entrusted with the gruesome task of putting the national economy on the
auction block under the World Bank
sponsored privatization programs. In 1990, I returned to the Catholic
University of Peru where I had taught after leaving Chile in the months
following the 1973 military coup.
I had arrived in Lima at the height of the 1990 election campaign.
The country’s economy was in crisis. The outgoing populist government
of President Alan Garcia had been placed on the IMF “black list”.
President Alberto Fujimori became the new president on the 28th of July
1990. And barely a few days later, “economic shock therapy” struck –
this time with a vengeance. Peru had been punished for not conforming to
IMF diktats: the price of fuel was hiked up by 31 times and the price
of bread increased more than twelve times in a single day. The IMF – in
close consultation with the US Treasury – had been operating behind the
scenes. These reforms – carried out in the name of “democracy” – were
far more devastating than those applied in Chile and Argentina under the
fist of military rule. In the 1980s and 1990s I traveled extensively in
Africa. The fieldresearch for the first edition was, in fact, initiated
in Rwanda which, despite high levels of poverty, had achieved
self-sufficiency in food production. From the early 1990s, Rwanda had
been destroyed as a functioning national economy; its once vibrant
agricultural system was destabilized. The IMF had demanded the “opening
up” of the domestic market to the dumping of US and European grain
surpluses. The objective was to “encourage Rwandan farmers to be more
competitive”. (See Chapter 7.)
From 1992 to 1995, I undertook field
research in India, Bangladesh and Vietnam and returned to Latin America
to complete my study on Brazil. In all the countries I visited,
including Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco and The Philippines, I observed
the same pattern of economic
manipulation and political interference by the Washington-based
institutions. In India, directly resulting from the IMF reforms,
millions of people had been driven into starvation. In Vietnam – which
constitutes among the world’s most prosperous rice producing economies –
local-level famines had erupted resulting directly from the lifting of
price controls and the deregulation of the grain market.
Coinciding with the end of the Cold War,
at the height of the economic crisis, I traveled to several cities and
rural areas in Russia. The IMFsponsored reforms had entered a new phase –
extending their deadly grip to the countries of the former Eastern
bloc. Starting in 1992, vast areas of the former Soviet Union, from the
Baltic states to Eastern Siberia, were pushed into abysmal poverty.
Work on the first edition was completed
in early 1996, with the inclusion of a detailed study on the economic
disintegration of Yugoslavia. (See Chapter 17.) Devised by World Bank
economists, a “bankruptcy program” had been set in motion. In 1989-90,
some 1100 industrial firms were wiped out and more than 614,000
industrial workers were laid off. And that was only the beginning of a
much deeper economic fracturing of the Yugoslav Federation.
Since the publication of the first
edition in 1997, the World has changed dramatically; the “globalization
of poverty” has extended its grip to all major regions of the World
including Western Europe and North America.
A New World Order has been installed destroying national sovereignty and the rights of citizens. Under the new rules of the World Trade Organization
(WTO) established in 1995, “entrenched rights” were granted to the
world’s largest banks and multinational conglomerates. Public debts have
spiraled, state institutions have collapsed, and the accumulation of
private wealth has progressed relentlessly.
The US-led wars on Afghanistan (2001)
and Iraq (2003), mark an important turning point in this evolving New
World Order. As the second edition goes to print, American and British
forces have invaded Iraq, destroying its public infrastructure and
killing thousands of civilians. After 13 years of economic sanctions,
the war on Iraq plunged an entire population into poverty.
War and globalization go hand in hand.
Supported by America’s war machine, a new deadly phase of corporate-led
globalization has unfolded. In the largest display of military might
since the Second World War, the United States has embarked upon a
military adventure, which threatens the future of humanity.
The decision to invade Iraq had nothing to do with “Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction”
or his alleged links to Al Qaeda. Iraq possesses 11 percent of the
World’s oil reserves, i.e. more than five times those of the US. The
broader Middle East-Central Asian region (extending from the tip of the
Arabian peninsula to the Caspian sea basin) encompasses approximately
70% of the World’s reserves of oil and natural gas.
This war, which has been in the planning
stage for several years, threatens to engulf a much broader region. A
1995 US Central Command document confirms that “the purpose of US
engagement. . . is to protect US vital interest in the region –
uninterrupted, secure US/Allied access to Gulf oil” .
In the wake of the invasion, Iraq’s
economy has been put under the jurisidiction of the US military
occupation government led by retired General Jay Gardner, a former CEO
of one of America’s largest weapons producers.
In liaison with the US administration
and the Paris Club of official creditors, the IMF and World Bank are
slated to play a key role in Iraq`s post-war “reconstruction”. The
hidden agenda is to impose the US dollar as Iraq’s proxy currency, in a
currency board arrangement, similar to that imposed on
Bosnia-Herzegovina under the 1995 Dayton Accord. (See Chapter 17.) In
turn, Iraq’s extensive oil reserves are slated to be taken over by the
Anglo-American oil giants.
Iraq’s spiralling external debt will be
used as an instrument of economic plunder. Conditionalities will be set.
The entire national economy will be put on the auction block. The IMF
and the World Bank will be called in to provide legitimacy to the
plunder of Iraq’s oil wealth.
The deployment of America’s war machine
purports to enlarge America’s economic sphere of influence in an area
extending from the Mediterranean to China’s Western frontier. The US has
established a permanent military presence not only in Iraq and
Afghanistan, but it has military bases in several of the former Soviet
republics as well. In other words, militarization supports the conquest
of new economic frontiers and the worldwide imposition of the “free
market” system.
Global Depression
The onslaught of the US-led war is
occurring at the height of a global economic depression, which has its
historical roots in the debt crisis of the early 1980s. America’s war of
conquest has a direct bearing on the economic crisis. State resources
in the US have been redirected towards financing the military-industrial
complex and beefing up domestic security at the expense of funding much
needed social programs which have been slashed to the bone.
In the wake of September 11, 2001,
through a massive propaganda campaign, the shaky legitimacy of the
“global free market system” has been reinforced, opening the door to a
renewed wave of deregulation and privatization, resulting in corporate
take-overs of most, if not all, public services and state infrastructure
(including health care, electricity, water and transportation).
Moreover, in the US, Great Britain and
most countries of the European Union, the legal fabric of society has
been overhauled. Based on the repeal of the Rule of Law, the foundations
of an authoritarian state apparatus have emerged with little or no
organized opposition from the mainstay of civil society.
The new chapters added to this second
edition address some of the key issues of the 21st century : the merger
boom and the concentration of corporate power, the collapse of national
and local level economies, the meltdown of financial markets, the
outbreak of famine and civil war and the dismantling of the Welfare
State in most Western countries.
In Part 1, a new Introduction and a
chapter entitled “Global Falsehoods” have been added. Also in Part 1,
the impacts of “free markets” on women’s rights are examined. In Part
II, on sub-Saharan Africa, the chapter on Rwanda has been expanded and
updated following fieldwork conducted in 1996 and 1997. Two new
chapters, respectively, on the 1999- 2000 famine in Ethiopia and on
Southern Africa in the post-Apartheid era have been added. The chapter
on Albania in Part 5, focuses on the role of the IMF in destroying the
real economy and precipitating the breakdown of the country’s banking
system.
A new Part 6 entitled “The New World
Order” includes five chapters. Chapter 18 centers on the “structural
adjustment program” applied in Western countries under the surveillance
of the World’s largest commercial and merchant banks. The ongoing
economic and financial crisis is reviewed in Chapters 19 and 20.
Chapters 21 and 22 examine, respectively, the fate of South Korea and
Brazil in the wake of the 1997-1998 financial meltdown, as well as the
complicity of the IMF in furthering the interests of currency and stock
market speculators.
